a. Sea kayaking is weather dependant. In the event that the weather is unsuitable, Scandinavian Kayaking Adventures will advise suitable safe alternatives such as use of sheltered waters in harbours and fjords.

b. We endeavour to select the best locations for the trip. In the event of force majeure (unusual and unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, the consequences of which are unavoidable e.g. strike, riot, natural disaster, act of war or terrorism) and Scandinavian Kayaking Adventures is forced to cancel or curtail a trip we will endeavour to provide a suitable alternative, but we cannot pay compensation or accept liability for the return of fees or expenses (e.g. flights).


a. Scandinavian Kayaking Adventures advises that customers acquire insurance for cancellation and curtailment and loss / damage of personal belongings and equipment for your whole trip.

b. It is a condition of booking for all trips that you and all participants are covered by adequate insurance for the duration of the trip and for the activities undertaken. The insurance must include cover for medical and emergency expenses (including repatriation), personal accident, injury and death. In the event of emergency medical expenses the responsibility of such costs will be borne by the customer. Please ensure that you hold travel insurance that covers activities such as kayaking.

You are responsible for looking after any equipment during your trip. Wear and tear is expected over time, and you should notify us if anything is faulty. The equipment will be inspected upon your return to ensure it is in good working order. In the event of excessive damage that is the result of careless behavior or mistreatment of equipment, Scandinavian Kayaking Adventures reserves the right to charge you for repair or replacement costs incurred.

a. Personal protective and safety equipment supplied must be worn at all times during the trip.

b. It is strongly advised that you should not use the kayak whilst under the influence of alcohol.

a. Scandinavian Kayaking Adventures does not cater for unaccompanied children under 18 years of age. Accompanied children over 12 may participate in sea kayaking on the condition that the accompanying adult accepts that the child’s actions and safety is the accompanying adult’s responsibility.

a. We will not sell or give out your personal details or e-mail address to any other party without your permission.

a. Scandinavian Kayaking Adventures can hold onto larger baggage for you whilst you are out on the water, however we cannot be held responsible for personal belongings and equipment. Items stored in our vehicles or with our staff is at your own risk. If you take valuables on our activities e.g. jewellery, watches, glasses, non-waterproof cameras etc you do so at your own risk.

a. Any information provided by Scandinavian Kayaking Adventures on such matters as routes, climate, clothing, equipment, advice etc. is given in good faith but without responsibility on the part of Scandinavian Kayaking Adventures.

a. Under no circumstances shall Scandinavian Kayaking Adventures be liable for any direct, indirect, special, punitive, incidental, exemplary, or consequential damages, or any damages whatsoever, arising out of or in connection with the use, inability to use, or performance of the information, services, products and materials available on the Scandinavian Kayaking Adventures website or given to you before your trip.

By making a booking you acknowledge that sea kayaking entails known and unanticipated risks which could result in physical or emotional injury, paralysis, death, or damage to yourself, to property, or to third parties.

You expressly agree and promise to accept and assume all of the risks existing in this activity. You accept that participation in this activity is purely voluntary, and you elect to participate in spite of the risks. You hereby voluntarily release, forever discharge, and agree to indemnify and hold harmless Scandinavian Kayaking Adventures from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action, which are in any way connected with your participation in this activity or your use of Scandinavian Kayaking Adventures’s equipment or facilities, including any such claims which allege negligent acts or omissions of Scandinavian Kayaking Adventures.

The owner and any staff of Scandinavian Kayaking Adventures (organisation number 198107038898) are referred to as 'Scandinavian Kayaking Adventures' in the above terms & conditions.

All tours, activities and transfers are referred to as “trips”.

Swedish law governs these terms and conditions, where competent courts in Göteborg, Sweden shall have exclusive jurisdiction of any dispute arising out of them.
