Beginners Wild Swimming

2

Enjoy the warm water and beautiful views, wild swimming on Lake Bled.

Itinerary

Day 1: Wild swimming on Lake Bohinj

You'll be picked up at your hotel in Bled at 9 am today, before heading over to the breathtaking Lake Bohinj for your first swim. The lake sits at the bottom of the Julian Alps and boasts some of the most pristine waters in Slovenia. You can choose from a 1km, 2km or 4km swim, but don't worry if you get tired - there will always be support available.

After lunch at the chalet, you'll have the option to go hiking into the mountains. If you would prefer, you can relax at the hotel. In the evening, you'll go out for a short, but amazing stargazing stroll.

Day 2: Swim Lake Bled and stop at Bled island

After a hearty breakfast, you'll head over to Lake Bled for your morning swim. The swim from the shore to Bled Island is around 2km. You can also swim back (making it 4km) if you want to. Just like the previous day, support will be available throughout. You'll then go on a short but steep hike up Mala Ojistrica, with incredible views of Lake Bled and the ancient church - this hike is well worthwhile.

After lunch in the medieval town of Radovljica, you'll head back to the airport or Ljubljana town for 6:30 pm.

Wonderful trip, beautiful scenery in a lovely country. Our guide Christina was extremely good, friendly and helpful. Swimming in the lakes was safe and really enjoyable as was time spent in the mountains. Good choice of hotel and restaurant.
