I’ve just returned from the trip and it was an amazing experience. The kayaking, wild camping and hiking were all excellent and our trip was brilliantly guided by Tuure who created a relaxed and friendly environment throughout for everyone
Great memories and friendships developed and I would highly recommend this trip as a way to experience the Norwegian Fjords

What a fantastic long weekend! I booked a single place and met a wonderful group of people.
Our guide, Sandra, was exceptional. She made sure that everyone was well fed and happy with the kayaking and hiking pace; offering great insights and history of the area - thank you so much Sandra.
I have been on many guided trips over the years and must say this has to be one of the most memorable of them all.
The fjord itself was so beautiful...it looked like a painting…my photos don't do it justice.
Getting picked up at Stavanger and dropped off at the stunning hut location made the whole journey so easy (same for the return day).
The hut wasn't some tiny garden shed, it was a large wooden cabin in a very pretty bay, with comfy a bed and all mod-cons - I slept well every night.
If you're considering this trip, don't hesitate, I promise that you won't regret it :)

I had a great time doing the National 3 Peaks Challenge. Fantastic experience, a real challenge and sense of achievement afterwards, it's given me the drive to do some more challenges in the same vein. Everything ran very smoothly, from the pick-ups and pre-challenge hotel stay to the challenge itself. Ours was a group of seven total strangers but the lot of us gelled and became a solid team very quickly. Richard was a brilliant and experienced guide, kept us on track and on pace while sharing his abundance of outdoor knowledge, and credit to our drivers Darren and Paul who kept us rolling between peaks. Highly recommended.

A trip to remember!! Gorgeous views, lovely company and great food. Would definitely advise bringing lots of socks for evening time but other than that you can pack really light. Would highly recommended to anyone who fancies a weekend long adventure with friends and family :)

Just back from my 5th Skyhook trip. I have to say this trip was exceptional. Our guide Rebecca was outstanding and went way above and beyond what should be expected of a guide. She made our trip so enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble for her. The location, accommodation, food, transfers, equipment, itinerary were all exceptional. I could not recommend this trip highly enough to anyone who may be considering it.

Just got from this trip, I absolutely loved every second of it! The tour is well organised, you're well fed and looked after. The guides helping you up and down the mountain were fantastic.
The drive back from the desert is a little long, but that is expected. I just simply put on my headphones and enjoyed the views, just beautiful! Honestly the trip couldn't have got any better. Thankyou so much.

Truly a great trip, I thoroughly enjoyed it. The hospitality was great throughout, and the guides provided a great service. I highly recommend this trip to anyone wanting to challenge themselves.

What an amazing adventure. Hosted by our excellent guides Chris & Sam. We Cannnoed and wild camped the Lochs and rivers. Although the weather was challenging over the week we had the most fantastic time. 👌

Wow!!! That is all…. What an amazing experience… one that I will treasure for years to come. Fantastic 5 days canoeing across Scotland. Our guides Sam and Chris were awesome and would definitely recommend this to anyone. Wild weather, crashing waves, peaceful gorges, birds of prey and fab meals provided and cooked by the guides each day. Take a bow lads… you’re the best

Absolutely fantastic trip. Challenging but worth it, with fantastic guides who were great fun, and also extensively.knowledgable. I felt completely safe having booked this solo, would not hesitate to book again.

We had a lovely trip with our excellent guide Jan. The hikes were challenging but rewarding, with a good amount of variety. We were 8 guests for 1 guide, and each party had their own hotel room. The hotel was extremely accommodating and each dinner and breakfast was excellent. Jan was very attentive to the groups needs and answered any questions.
Travelled on: Hike the High Tatras & Slovak Paradise
This was such an amazing trip. The local guides Dado, Eva, Anten, Toni and Mitch were all excellent giving us not only excellent guidance at all times but great history and interesting facts about the local area. The Kayaking was a great introduction to the beautiful town of Omiš, the kanyoning challenging but so beautiful that you forget about the challenge and the rafting was a wonderful fun way to finish an epic adventure. Apart from the above you still get lots of time to explore Omiš, or just relax on the beach. It was truly an amazing adventure. I’m still smiling. The team in Omiš go above and beyond to look after you 10/10

Long story short: I Do NOT recommend it.
The longer version:
We were told in the description (and also in the emails) that we would be going at a pace that would allow us to complete the 24-hour challenge — and we trained for that too.
Well, we failed pretty much the whole thing at the beginning, at Ben Nevis. We were nowhere near the advertised pace.
Yes, we know there are always slower people in the groups, BUT we were held back several times. The whole thing was extra slow, very-very far from the original itinerary.
Later, some people turned back at Scafell Pike, so we had a chance to achieve our goal.
The most outrageous thing happened at Snowdon: the guide adjusted the pace to the people who had already dropped out of the challenge (because they didn't achieve the second summit), constantly sending them forward, while constantly holding back those still was in the challenge. We were told constantly, 'we are a team, we do this together'.
Well, as far as I can see - the goal is also in the name of the announced program: to complete the 3 summits in 24 hours. That is why we paid hundreds of £.
Not doing it for 26-27-28 hours, not for doing funny teambuilding event with those who dropped out earlier due to cardio problems. Ridiculous.
Quoted from your page: 'The guide will aim to set a pace which the group can realistically attempt to complete the challenge within 24 hours. This will mean a relatively fast walk with minimal breaks of no more than a few minutes to drink, have a quick snack or catch your breath. If you are well off the pace or struggling, the guide may need to make a call as to whether you can continue the challenge.'
It would be good to decide which policy you'll follow on future trips: 'If you can't keep up, please turn back', or 'Let's walk hand in hand, enjoying ourselves for 97 minutes longer than our itinerary recommends'.
Communication: there is still a lot of room for improvement.
We received a lot of automated emails before and after the tour, but we barely learned anything during the tour.
Receiving a 4 week training plan 2 days before the start, that's a new level of something.
The pick-up in Glasgow was adventurous. Two teams started, but there was no communication at all about it. Couple minutes before the pick-up, I was found myself in two different WA chats... different pick-up times+different places. Not bad, but not good either.
Real-life communication during the tour was pretty much zero: During the challenge, we didn't get any specific answers from the guide (e.g. the schedule of the breaks for the next 5-6 hour bus rides, or which way we climb on Scafell Pike)... the whole thing is frivolous.
It’s a bit disappointing to get multiple generic emails, but not a single follow-up from the guide — even a brief note from Skyhook addressed to our group would have meant a lot.
Final thoughts. Quoting your guide: 'It's not the end of the world if we don't make it.'
Well, maybe not — if you're doing this 7 or 8 times a season.
But for us, this attitude is deeply disappointing. Several of us traveled from abroad to take part. This wasn’t just a two-hour train ride and a casual drop-off at the pub of the station.
We can only hope he enjoyed his beer, since we didn’t get what we came for.
Travelled on: National 3 Peaks Challenge (24 Hours)
The trip was great, big thanks to our guide Tuure.
One note about the packing list: it wasn't clear what gear we would get from the company, so al lot of us packed some extra stuff we didn't need (waterproof pants, sitting pads, etc)
Travelled on: Hike, Kayak and Wild Camp the Norwegian Fjords
Amazing time!
Some of my best life memories were made on this trip.
What an adventure.
Hats off to Chris our tour guide. What a pleasure it was to meet him. I felt like I was left to learn new experiences but as soon as something went a little strange. Chris was there to support. His skills of differentiating and catering for different skill levels and food needs/requirements was top level. Good to go adventures have a great set up and in the wind and rain we were still smiling and getting on with it. The equipment was brilliant and most brand new such as tents etc. I just can’t explain how much fun I had and how much I learnt. Yes! I’m definitely doing it again 😀😀😀👍🏼👍🏼

Amazing.
Our 2 guides Billy and Reg were very experienced, knowledgeable, hard working and patient.
I'd thought that the wet forecast would dampen the joy of this trip but it was a brilliant experience anyway. The scenery us stunning and remote. The padding was hard work but not beyond those reasonably fit.

I’ve just come back after spending the last 5 days exploring Scotland with a great bunch of people and I’m missing it already and looking at what adventure to go on next! The trip started near Fort William where we were met by our guides Bill and Reg. After sorting kit and being briefed, we were soon on our way canoeing 100km over 5 days to Inverness. Bill and Reg are absolute dime’s and made everything run so smoothly - along with the rest of the group it was a pleasure to spend the last week with them! The weather was the typical Scottish weather but added to the whole experience! The food and snacks were plentiful and spot on .. with Reg cooking up some delicious one pot delights each night. Great experience and not many days you can say you’ve canoed and camped on the shores of Loch Ness. Thank you for such a lovely trip.
Travelled on: Canoe Across Scotland
Trip was amazing despite some typical Scottish weather and insects, we had a great guide Sam who was very efficient and taught us how to get the most out of the trip. Found a great bunch of people which really helped to make the trip. Not been Kayaking before but would definitely recommend this trip, some reasonably tough moments carrying the gear across the locks, setting up a wet tent in a forest and cold temps at night, but the scenery, views and the teamwork far outweighed those moments. Felt a big achievement reaching the end in Inverness for sure.I am already interested in another trip with Skyhook next year

What an amazing adventure! We had such a great time! Sam, our guide was excellent! Such a lovely, friendly chap who took time to get to know everyone. His cooking and portions were great! Really knowledgeable. Would highly recommend this trip to anyone, even a very wet day did not detract from the fun! Loved it!

Akis from start to finish was brilliant, good craic and full of useful knowledge of which I'll use on future adventures.
The hike is brilliant, scenery is fantastic. Isn't the hardest of walks but enjoyable, for me the scramble made the trip, was fun and challenging, defo achievable
The refuge is great, friendly and the food is tasty and there is plenty, will definitely go back one day, the experience had a magical feel to it

Our family of 5 ( ages 21 thru 50) recently completed the 5-day Salkantay trek with Inkayni Tours, and it was an unforgettable adventure! Our guide, Paul Cano, was exceptional - knowledgeable, passionate, and proud of his Peruvian heritage. He kept us safe and entertained throughout the trek, even when things got tough (like when I got sick for 2 days and my wife twisted her ankle!).
The food was incredible, thanks to Chef Cristobal and his assistant Clever. The porters and horses did an amazing job carrying our belongings, and the scenery was breathtaking.
If I have one suggestion, it's to break up Day 2 (Salkantay) into two sections. It's a long and challenging day, and a bit more pacing would make it more enjoyable.
We opted for horseback riding on two occasions (to Humantay Lagoon and Salkantay Mountain), which was worth every extra penny (bring CASH - u will need it). It allowed us to enjoy the scenery without excessive strain.
Overall, Inkayni Tours provided an outstanding experience. I highly recommend Paul, Cristobal, Clever and the entire team. Can't wait to come back to Peru!"

The trip was amazing, exceeded all expectations. Our hosts, Tobias and Dan, were fantastic, very knowledgeable and professional. They made sure everyone was well looked after and added small touches, like marshmallows for our campfire, that made it special. Highly recommended!

Superb trip from start to finish. Tobias and Dan were fabulous and instilled confidence. I felt very safe in their hands. The actual kayaking was very varied due to the weather. We kayaking to Old Harry Rock, around Brownsea Island and then down the River Piddle from Wareham and back up the River Frome back to Wareham. The food at the Salt Pig cafe was great as were the packed lunches. No chance of going hungry. The camp site was spotless, spacious tents, real beds with mattresses, hot showers, hot drink making facilities. Loved every minute!

Had the most wonderful Kayaking trip along the Jurassic Coast in Dorset. The leaders were amazing and very knowledgeable. I met the most amazing group of people, sitting around the campsite was a perfect ending to an busy day.
We had are own individual tents and beds were very comfortable. Tea and coffee was available and plenty of snacks.
Thank you 😊

This was an incredible trip, I am so happy with it! Alpaca Expeditions is absolutely amazing and I would definitely travel with them again! There are a few inconsistencies in the kit list provided by skyhook, we were supposed to bring toilet paper and bug spray, and Alpaca can provide sleeping bag liners. See also the Trip Advisor review I left in the photos

Loved every minute from the get go, a great way to indulge yourself in nature and meet new people. Also, a great challenge for anyone wanting to further their hiking skills, higher altitude levels which people won't experience in the UK. Get yourself booked on and immerse yourself in a weekend of memories, laughs and great food too! The guides are so friendly, caring and welcoming. They couldn't do enough for everyone. I would happily book with Skyhook again to do another trip. Thankyou team!
Travelled on: Hike Mount Toubkal (4,167m)
I have to say that this is a fantastic trip, though it is not to be underestimated. Days 2 and 3 of this trip are big mountain days with lots of height gain and loss, particularly on summit day, and in my opinion a high level of fitness is needed. The first night in the guesthouse in Imlil was lovely. The beds were firm but clean and comfortable, and the hosts very friendly, with excellent food. We met our two guides in the evening, and they led us off to the high refuge after breakfast on day 2, a six hour hiking day, constantly gaining altitude the whole way, with some tough sections. The guides throughout were excellent, though one had a slightly faster pace than the other when at the front, which put us under a bit of pressure from time to time. I apologise I dont have their names to hand. The high refuge was as you would expect from a mountain refuge in the Alps, clean but basic sleeping arrangements, decent food, and amazing views. It was very busy, but we were well looked after by the guides. Summit day began with breakfast at 3pm, and we left for the summit about 3.40am, arriving around 7am on the summit, our whole group made it. We stayed around 30 mins on the summit, then what followed was a quite tricky descent, it is very slippy with scree, I advise walking poles as a must. We descended right back to Imlil, which meant a very very big day, and everyone was exhausted by the time we got down, with many people having slipped on the way. This wasn't my first 4000m mountain, but it was for many of the group, and served as a good intro to altitude.

What a trip - started in the hot and sunny and ended in an howling monsoon like rampant Viking’s. James and Phil were excellent leaders cooking superb meals for us and being generally fab! Great trip! Physically very demanding, but a great challenge. Would highly recommend to any adventurous people who enjoy being pushed out of their comfort zone. Capsizing is a likelihood, so you need to be comfortable getting wet and able to jump into action when you do, to rescue your canoe. TIP: Ensure all your dry bags and barrels are tightly secured to avoid them floating down river if you do capsize.
Travelled on: Canoe the Scottish Highlands (River Spey)
Great few days going down the Spey. Robson was a brilliant guide and kept us all safe and well fed. River levels were low after a 5 week dry spell but added a different element to the challenge. Washing machine was definitely my favourite bit. Capsized a couple of times which couldn't be helped, but Robson and the rest of the group on hand to get us back in the boat in no time at all. On last night, we found a great island to camp and even had the bonus of a fire that night as we ate and talked the night away. I'd highly recommend but it does involve some fitness for the steering.
Travelled on: Canoe the Scottish Highlands (River Spey)
Amazing trip!!
Everything was perfectly organised, from beginning to end.
I would not classify it as beginner/improver level though, it was definitely doable, but tough , you should be reasonably fit.
The guides were great, food was fresh and plentiful.
Accommodation in Emlil was super all around.
The Refuge was ok but dorms were for 24 people , so don't expect to sleep much.
Showers didn't do much.
Take wet wipes , ear plugs and an eye mask.
All in all a fabulous experience, we were shattered afterwards but it was absolutely worth it!!!

An amazing trip and what an experience made so by our guides Abdul and Yusef who could not of been more helpful and looked after us all on the mountain. Two amazing guys thank you.

An incredible trip! I travelled with my daughter. Have to say that summit day was tough as winds were high & my daughter was feeling unwell. However, our guides Abdul & Yusef were amazing - so kind, caring, helpful & encouraging. We wouldn't have made it to the top & down without them. In fact the whole team were brilliant - Lahouceine who organised the trip, the hosts at Riad Bab Imlil, the muleteers, cooks & refuge staff. We were so well looked after at every stage. The food was very healthy & they even catered for my daughter & I as we are gluten intolerant. If you are looking to do this trip do not hesitate to book with Skyhook & Atlas Vertical. Definitely an adventure!

Outstanding Experience with Skyhook – 3 Peaks in 24 Hours!
Taking on the 3 Peaks Challenge with Skyhook was one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. From start to finish, the team was professional, organized, and incredibly supportive. The guides were knowledgeable, encouraging, and knew exactly how to keep us motivated and on track through some tough climbs and tight timeframes.
Each peak – Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon – presented its own unique challenge, but Skyhook's planning and logistics were spot-on. The transportation was smooth and comfortable, rest breaks were well-timed, and safety was clearly their top priority throughout.
What really stood out was the team atmosphere they created. It didn’t feel like just a hike – it felt like an adventure shared with like-minded people, backed by a company that truly knows what they’re doing. Whether you're an experienced hiker or taking on something like this for the first time, Skyhook delivers an incredible experience.
Highly recommend to anyone looking to push their limits with the confidence of expert support!
Travelled on: National 3 Peaks Challenge (24 Hours)
What an amazing adventure! We kicked things off with Ben Nevis at 7:35 AM on Saturday, and I officially finished the challenge by touching the minibus after Snowdon at 7:28 AM the next morning (yes, touching the minibus made it feel real!).
There’s no way I could’ve done this without all the right pieces falling into place — a fantastic group of people (so lovely to meet you all, you're amazing!), great guide and drivers, and even the weather was on our side. Huge thanks to Jon for keeping us all on track and for the guidance and encouragement along the way. And a special shoutout to Steve, one of our awesome drivers — thank you!
It was definitely a challenge (no surprise there!), and sticking to the schedule is super important. But it was all totally worth it! We were very lucky to get clear views on Ben Nevis, a beautiful sunset on Scafell Pike, and a stunning sunrise on Snowdon.
One small tip if you're getting picked up at Glasgow Central Station like I did: it’s a good idea to double-check exactly where to meet and get in touch with Simon ahead of time. Since my phone number isn’t UK-based, there was a small hiccup in getting in touch, but luckily I’d confirmed the spot and everything worked out fine.
Overall, such a great experience — thank you to everyone who made it so memorable!

Absolutely brilliant. I loved it from start to finish. I've never canoed before so worried I may hold up the group, but I needn't have worried as our guide James was brilliant throughout with quiet encouragement us throughout.
There was ample, and very delicious food cooked and provided throughout our trip, including a snack barrel, which was full of delicious goodies.
Our group were also brilliant, all working hard together, making it one of the best experiences I have ever taken part in.

Booked the trip last September and had waited patiently for the months to pass . This was my ‘first’ canoe experience and exceeded all expectations. We gained top tips , expert advise, reassurance at the little bit more choppy times that we could do this . Our guide James was a fantastic chap , it was a pleasure to spend 5 days with him and our fellow paddlers . We all bonded and worked as a team , had lots of laughs with each other , tonnes of snacks and delicious home cooked camp food . It’s left me sad it’s come to an end . Would do again in a heart beat ! If you are wondering if its too hard , is it for experts it’s not , just go for it and get it booked . The weather was on our side on this trip , but should not put you off , the trip can be adapted to make it more pleasant .

Brilliant trip! Our guide James was first rate and we all bonded really well as a group. The weather was also excellent - good decision to make the trip in the opposite direction t fit with the prevailing wind.
Travelled on: Canoe Across Scotland
I just completed an amazing adventure. I took a canoe trip across Scotland with a group and led by Sam. I was anxious to begin with. I'm a solo traveller and not young anymore. Would I cope with a canoe? sharing a canoe? the endurance across five days of paddling? wild camping? the weather? did I have the right gear? All of which I was quickly reassured about as our group of seven contained other solo travellers and had never canoed before.
It takes an awful lot of gear to get a small group of campers across lochs and a canal for five days, and all this was stowed in the canoes in barrels along with the personal gear. But once on the water, with the wind at our backs and with the right coaching from our guide, it turned out to be manageable and enjoyable to be doing something I'd never done before. The food was plentiful and the accommodation was adequate. It's amazing what you can do without over five days, and it makes you appreciate luxuries you take for granted, like a shower, a flush toilet, and a dining table. But the route does take you through some luxuries like the bar on the barge at Laggan Locks, or the pub lunch at Fort Augustus. We were fortunate with the weather. Wall to wall sunshine. A strong wind at times enabled us to utilise wind power to push us along, and it turns out that when everyone rafts up and uses a sail, you become a fast clipper and push the pace at a rate of exhilarating knots. The group worked as a team at the portages and every evening when we set up camp. Friends were made and memories shared. This is a great experience and I thoroughly recommend it to anyone with an adventurous ambition.

We had a lovely time and particularly recommend Youssef who was our driver for the week and did everything he could to make sure that we had an enjoyable trip and that our every need was met. I cannot commend him highly enough.
The places we stayed were very comfortable the food was very good although unfortunately we did suffer with some stomach issues (to be expected); the riad we stayed in todres gorge (Dar essyaha) was spectacular, the hosts were friendly and the food excellent, rooms clean and comfortable unfortunately the hotel in Casablanca (Diwan) probably the least comfortable and noisy.
Our local host Lahouceine was very helpful and the best guide was Adil in Fes and the guide in Volubilis - both extremely knowledgeable.
Would definitely travel with Skyhook again - it gave a local experience that would have not been provided on normal tourist trips
Highlight of trips: Fes best Medina I have ever seen and the camel trip

I went on this trip with a couple of my freinds, the tour was amazing! Johnathan was our guide and he truly is one of the best tour guides I have ever had. Would reccomend people to be fit and able-bodied to partake in this trip as it requires physical fitness to complete (especially the rafting and trekking).
Travelled on: Inca Jungle Trail to Machu Picchu
Highly recommended for anyone seeking a mix of adventure and soulful travel. I came back with beautiful memories and a deep appreciation for Morocco’s landscapes and people.
The trek was challenging but incredibly rewarding. Surrounded by the stunning Atlas Mountains, I was constantly in awe of the natural beauty. The local guides were not only experienced but also genuinely kind and supportive, making sure everyone felt comfortable and safe. (Special Thanks to Hassan, Abdul and Mustafa. 🙏🏻 )
Riding camels at sunset and sunrise across the dunes of Merzouga was a magical experience I’ll never forget.
PS. I absolutely loved the scent of the detergent they used at Palais des Dunes camp, so fresh and comforting! I regret not asking what type it was.

There was no way I would have gone through the snowy terrain and the rocky scramble without his guidance and support. Brilliant guide. Highly recommend!
(*) This doesn't mean that the climb is easy! If you do it in May it's definitely not for beginners if you ask me.

Book it…You won’t be disappointed!!
The whole trip was so well organised, and our guides, James and Phil were just wonderful. They looked after us so well, and kept us safe, well fed and entertained from start to finish.
The views and scenery along the way was simply breathtaking and we couldn’t have asked for better weather.
The wild camping spots we stayed at along the way were picture perfect and it was nice to just relax around the campfire at the end of each day enjoying the food, drinks and company of the others in my group.
This was, without a doubt one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had and I couldn't recommend it enough!
PS...If you feel the cold like me then I would suggest you invest in a decent sleeping bag as it did become very chilly during the night (mine was rubbish 🥶) and also don't wear shoes that aren't waterproof or that you don't mind getting wet as they WILL get soaked when docking and launching the canoes on and off the rocky shores...

Just wow!
From the moment we were met at Tirana until the sad day we were dropped back the professionalism, kindness and fun we received from Albanian Rafting was never short of outstanding.
The accommodation, food, activities were top class but what really stood out for me was the people behind it all.
Alma, Cristian, Arbri, Arti etc are wonderful people who worked so hard to deliver an amazing 5 days in beautiful Albania.
Looking back over the trip now I cant help but smile remembering all the adventures and belly laughs shared with my fellow travellers and new friends.
Alma - you have created something very special with Albania Rafting and I encourage anyone and everyone to do this trip. You will have the time of your life!
Thank you Albania Rafting and thank you Albania - you are all awesome!

What a great adventure. Really good value for money and so many activities packed in without feeling rushed.
The organisation of activities and journeys to and from them was first class.
Alma and the hotel staff were great hosts and couldn't do enough to help.
Our main guide, Arbri, was great company and you could see it really mattered to him that we were having a good time. He was polite, funny, enthusiastic and went out of his way to make sure we had a wonderful trip.
All the drivers were good.
The other guides including Arti, Ari, Christian and Kevi were also brilliant - good fun but professional and you felt very safe in their company
All in all an fantastic trip that I would highly recommend

Amazing trip! A few minor details were different in person so Skyhook may need to update some details (i.e. tipping requirements etc.), however the trips was perfect and amazingly organised! I will be using Skyhook again!
Travelled on: Mt Toubkal & Sahara Desert Adventure
In May 2025, I embarked on an extraordinary hiking trip up Mount Toubkal with in a group of nine, organised by Skyhook Adventure. It was an unforgettable adventure, with every detail brilliantly managed, though the mountain itself was tougher than I anticipated. The walk from Imlil village to the Refuge was very enjoyable. The pace was relaxed and the views were stunning. I could see myself coming back again just to do this part of the trek.
The guides were exceptional—knowledgeable, approachable, and highly attentive. They ensured our safety whilst sharing captivating insights about the local culture and the mountain, enriching the entire experience. Their pacing was well-judged, allowing us to push ourselves without feeling rushed, accommodating both seasoned hikers and those less experienced with high-altitude treks.
Climbing Mount Toubkal was a breathtaking yet humbling challenge. The relentless ascents, thin air, and grueling hours tested my physical and mental limits beyond what I’d prepared for, set against the stunning Atlas Mountains. I should’ve researched the climb’s intensity more thoroughly, as it’s not for the faint-hearted. Still, my group and the guides’ unwavering support and the thrill of summiting made the challenge unforgettable.
Accommodation was good, with comfortable stays in and mountain refuges. Each was clean, cosy, and provided a welcoming haven to recover after a day’s hiking. The food was a highlight—delicious, hearty Moroccan dishes that kept us fuelled. From tagines to fresh bread and local fruit, every meal was a treat.
Transport was impeccable, with reliable and comfortable transfers to and from. Everything ran smoothly, freeing us to focus on the adventure without worrying about logistics. The pace of the hike was well-balanced, allowing us to savour the stunning scenery while tackling the mountain’s challenges.
Skyhook Adventure delivered a remarkable experience, and I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone eager to tackle Mount Toubkal. Despite wishing for a tad more guidance on what to expect from the climb, the attention to detail, passion for adventure, and commitment to creating memorable experiences made this trip truly exceptional. Highly recommend Skyhook Adventure.

Tough day to get to the roof of North Africa and back to Imil. But everyone in our team made it.
Thanks to everyone.

Fabulous trip from start to finish. Very well organised and our guides were brilliant.
The food was incredible, there was so much delicious food to eat on every stop of the trek, cooked by our very own travelling hef provided as part of the trip.
I would thoroughly recommend this trip to anyone with reasonable fitness.

In a word, the Toubkal trek was amazing. The guides were knowledgable and very attentive; the catering (including in the mountain hut) copious and out of this world; the scenery all you could expect and more; the actual trekking hard work but oh so rewarding. And Marakesh itself is such a friendly and interesting place, so don't forget to extend your stay.

Well organised trip, this is the highest mountain I have climbed. The guides were self assured and paced our group fantastically. The food way exceeded my expectations and this really is a fabulous corner of the planet.
Thankyou to everyone.

Absolutely first class. I was the oldest and weakest of the group but I was helped and encouraged the whole time. Rory, our guide, was excellent as well as being a great cook. I would be happy to recommend this trip to anyone.

10/10 whole heartedly recommend.
Totally terrific trip. From start to finish.
Our guide & chef Rory was the business, all equipment provided was top notch, the route is spectacular, the unexpected glorious weather helped.
The rest of the group were great people and made the adventure good fun with support and plenty of banter.
The paddling was hard work at times, especially into the wind!
If you are reading this review and thinking about booking, stop thinking and just go for it. You won't regret it.

Trekking to Machu Picchu with Alpaca Expeditions – My Experience
After months of planning, I finally landed in Cusco on May 3rd, ready for the trip. I had booked my trek through Skyhook, which partners with a local company, "Alpaca Expeditions", to offer guided hikes to Machu Picchu via the Salkantay trail. Here's how it all unfolded.
Arrival & Altitude Adjustments
As promised, a friendly driver met me at the airport holding a board with my name. It was a reassuring start. But then came the altitude.
Cusco sits at over 3,400 meters, and my body was not having it. Headaches, breathlessness, and general fatigue stuck around for the first three days. Paracetamol and ibuprofen helped a bit, and while I’d heard of Diamox (a prescription option), I decided to skip it. Locals swear by coca tea, and I soon became a believer—it’s available everywhere and surprisingly comforting.
Check-In & Itinerary Confusion
On 4th May , I checked- in for the briefing at the Alpaca Expeditions office, passport in hand, and paid for my gear rental: air mattress, walking poles, and sleeping bag (USD 65). Note: if you’re booking through Skyhook, poles are included—I got refunded later, no fuss.
Things got confusing when the guide mentioned a 1 PM pickup for the Sacred Valley tour, despite Skyhook’s itinerary mentioning a full-day tour starting at 7 AM. Another UK traveller raised the issue, and to their credit, the team quickly arranged a private full-day tour for the two of us for the next morning.
Sacred Valley & the Road to the Cabanas
We were picked up at 7:30 AM, explored Pisac and the Sacred Valley. However, we had to skip Ollantaytambo to head straight to the Glass Cabanas after lunch. The drive was long—about four hours—and the 30 minutes or so involved walking in the dark with our bags. It wasn’t easy, but our Salkantay guide came to find us, guiding us in with head torches(bring one!).
The Glass Cabanas were magical—clean, remote, and offering incredible views of the night sky (he Milky Way is the clearest I have ever seen). This is also where you'd get to see the Salkantay mountain. Dinner here, prepared by our star chef, was the first of many unexpectedly good meals.
The Hike Begins: Humantay Lake & Salkantay Pass
Wake-up was 4:30 AM(get used to early mornings). We hiked up to Humantay Lake, a stunning but challenging acclimatisation trek. If you’re struggling here, let your guide know—they can arrange a mule for the tougher Salkantay Pass climb later in the day. Lunch was mid -day. This is a tough day so be prepared with snacks and extra water.
After lunch, we continued to the Salkantay Pass, a , rocky ascent, but once we crossed the pass, it was mostly downhill. We arrived at camp in darkness around 6:30 PM, exhausted but proud. Please note that head torches are essential & must ne handy. Tents, sleeping bags, and air mattresses made it bearable. And again, the food was great.
Downhill Days, Hobbit Houses & Hot Springs
The next day was all downhill—literally. We passed areas affected by landslides, reminding us how important it was to stay with the group. Lunch was, again, delicious. We ended the day at a camp near the whimsical Hobbit Houses. Sadly, hot tubs weren’t working , but there was electricity and phones, battery packs, heard- torches etc can be charged here. .
Coffee Farms, Stars & First Glimpse of Machu Picchu
The following day was easier. We toured a coffee plantation, enjoyed picking coffee beans, and roasting & brewing coffee. After a leisurely lunch, and then hiked uphill for four hours to our next campsite. It was here that we got our first view of Machu Picchu in the distance. That night, under a crystal-clear sky and surrounded by glaciers was the most perfect evening of the trip.
Final Stretch: Hydroelectric Station & Aguas Calientes
After a cloudy morning failed to deliver the expected sunrise over Machu Picchu, we hiked down to the hydroelectric station, passed swarms of bugs (don’t forget your insect repellent spray), and had lunch before walking along the train tracks into Aguas Calientes.
A hiccup here—my hotel wasn't the same as the group’s. But again, our guide sorted it quickly, and I ended up in a clean, room with a long-awaited hot shower.
Waynapicchu – A Last-Minute Bonus
That evening, I spontaneously decided to hike Waynapicchu on the next day after doing Machu Picchu. Since it’s not part of the standard itinerary, I had to go in person to the Ticket office in Aguas Calientes with my passport. The guide kindly waited very kindly until I secured the ticket, around 10 PM.
Machu Picchu Day
We were up at 5 AM, queued for the bus, and reached Machu Picchu by 7 AM. Any large backpacks were left at the entrance as they aren't permitted. This is the only place for toilets (SOL 2) . The walk through the ancient citadel was the trip’s highlight. We did the Classic Tour 2A.
Those of us with Waynapicchu tickets then did the steep, narrow, slippery climb up for the best views. Not for the faint-hearted, but worth every step.
Back to Cusco
We wrapped up with lunch (self-paid) and some heartfelt thank-you to the guides. Then came the Peru Rail ride back to Ollantaytambo, which was quite delayed (so avoid booking return flights that night). A final 2.5-hour bus ride got us back to Cusco and were dropped at our hotels by car/van.
Final Thoughts
I stayed an extra day in Cusco for a gentle walking tour and some well-earned rest. The next morning, Alpaca Expeditions handled my airport transfer smoothly.
Overall, this trip was everything I hoped for as it was challenging, beautiful, well-organized and full of unexpected touches (like cake for breakfast and bonfires under the night sky). The guides and porters were tireless and kind, the food exceptional, and while the toilets and logistics weren’t always perfect, the experience was unforgettable.
Pro Tips:
Bring a head torch, toilet paper, bug spray, Sunscreen and carry your passport .
Acclimatize in Cusco for at least two days before starting the trek.
Don’t book flights the same evening you return from Machu Picchu.
Book hike to Waynapicchu , if you're keen to hike on the last day , along with Machu Picchu.

Had an amazing time Wibert our guide was very knowledgeable, keeping us informed about so much along the way, the rafting and the zips were the highlights for me, we had loads of food and such a good time, making coffee from scratch in the jungle was a bonus i wasn't expecting, can't wait for my next adventure 😀
Travelled on: Inca Jungle Trail to Machu Picchu
I enjoyed the trip. I liked everyone in our group which is strange because I don't generally like anyone.
Chuckie and Mack did a great job but in the snack barrel which was on our canoe had no Pickled onion Monster munch!
Still there you are. The weather was a factor in how hard this trip was so get as fit as possible if your thinking of giving it a go.
Had a hoot and even forgot my tent .
Travelled on: Canoe Across Scotland
What a great adventure it was, at the start the weather was a bit windy which slowed us down, by the end the weather was perfect and we all competed it. Chucky and Mack were great always keeping a eye out for the slow coaches (I.e me lol) and giving advice on how your doing canoeing. Plenty of snacks and coffee on route, I will do this again or another adventure.

Amazing experience from start to finish. Both guides Abdul & Jhad are superstars! They kept the pace achievable for the whole group, helped where needed. Personally I don’t think I would have made it to the summit without their help.
The accommodation in Imil fantastic, small hostel which was spotlessly clean!
I needlessly worried about the food before the trip being vegetarian, it was great even at basecamp. There was always plenty of tasty food.

Where do I start ? This trip was excellent I’d give it a 10/10. The group I was fortunate enough to land with all made it to the top and were a great mix of people. Don’t be scared to book this alone. The two guides that took us up the mountain were amazing. They set the pace correctly and encouraged the group - kept us informed all the way. I really can’t express my gratitude to how well this trip played out, from all the meals being cooked to breath taking scenery, every Moroccan person I met was genuine, interesting , honest , funny, kind they really are a great bunch of people, I will always have fond memories of Morocco and will return to do other mountains in the area. I even left a luggage bag at the eco lodge and they retuned it to the Marrakesh for me. Thanks Skyhook

Overall, a great experience to remember.
I took part along with my 2 sons who are in their mid-late 20's with varying degrees of fitness and I'm a 60 year old who runs quite a bit. Our group of 10 completed the challenge in just under 24 hours on a bank Holiday weekend, so our walking time was under 11.5 hours which was very intense and all three of us found it very tough, but then we knew it would be a real challenge to break 24 hours including travel. Our Guide Josh is a character and he pushed us on, once he felt we might make it. The organisation from collection to the drop off was all on time.
Hotel in Fort William is fine for an overnight and we arrived early enough to go into the town for a meal. Only 2 downsides, we were dropped at Warrington Bank Quay and were told it would get us into Liverpool, but in fact it should have been Warrington central. The bus we used was a tight fit for the long journey and it was hard to fit our knees into a comfortable position if you wanted to sleep. A more spacious vehicle would help, but overall a great challenge if you're ready for it.
So glad we did it, you'll enjoy it too once you know it's going to be a tough gig 😁

I loved this trip!! It was so good. Carmilla and Ture (hope I spelled that right) were excellent hosts. Kind and attentive, fun and very knowledgeable. Poor Ture had a baptism of fire to his first trip!
I would have given this a five however, I don't feel there was adequate consideration for bad weather. Whilst I appreciate that the organisers aren't responsible for the weather I feel there could have been better precautions in place. There's not much shelter and it was hard to get warm.
I feel bad only giving a 4 but feel it's fair. I would definitely recommend this trip. It was a fantastic experience and Norway is a beautiful country.
Thank you so much for a memorable, fantastic, experience!!

Brilliant! A great 5 days canoeing. Well organised and the whole group was supported by professional leaders who showed care for the variety of mixed abilities, were always positive and good humoured and very knowledgeable about the local area and its history. I would not hesitate in booking another adventure with them. Great value for money with the right balance between fun, risk and safety.

We had a great trip to unforgettable Macchu Piccu. It was a private tour and we were picked up by a friendly and excellent driver at the hotel. We met our guide, Ernesto, who proved proficient and knowledgeable and told us a lot about Inca culture and the site itself. We (stupidly) forgot to take our passports and he arranged for them to be delivered at the hotel from Cusco! No 5 star review because of the following:
- The hotel in aquas calientes was not satisfactory, the location was not good, there were technical problems and the whole hotel was bare and the breakfast minimal. Rooms and beds were good but certainly not 4 stars.
- The drive in the taxi back to Cusco was filled with people (we booked a private tour) and the driver had an agressive driving style. Both drivers were very friendly but there was a big difference in comfort and safety.

Well the Mountain Leader and Group Drivers were absolutely spot on. The group gelled on the first night and cracked on the next morning. Unfortunately I had to withdraw through fatigue but when I return to complete the 3 Peaks, I will doing in at a more enjoyable pace and take in the Beautiful scenery’s. The 3 day experience is looking appealing and I would hopefully persuade my partner to join me. Im getting older and don’t want to rush as much, maybe a glass or 2 in between the mountains and a good night sleep is more more appealing!

Wow !!! What an experience. One of the best things I have ever done in my
Life . So many emotions so many physical challenges so much mental strength needed . I wanted to do this so bad and I did it but I wholly believe the reason I completed it was because we were lucky enough to have Richard as our guide . That man is absolutely incredible and just the best at what he does . He knows what to say, how to say it and when to say it at just the right moment to push you through . He was our guide our mentor our councillor our mediator he was just fantastic and a real inspiration. If anyone is lucky enough to have Richard as their guide then you are in with the best chance possible doing what you have set out to do . Thankyou Richard from the bottom of my heart you r the best !! And a big shout out to Darren our driver , this man knows where he’s going and has so much knowledge and interesting information and facts along the way he made the travel all so much more bearable . I am giving skyhook and their fantastic team 5 stars and I can not recommend the 3 peaks challenge enough . Thanks guys

The hotel that was booked for us was wonderful the staff there was so helpful and kind. Food was 10/10 and the hotel was spotless. Overall me and my friends had he most amazing time and enjoyed this challenge. My Everest Base Camp trek was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. The sheer beauty of the Himalayas is impossible to put into words — every step of the way was filled with breathtaking views, vibrant local culture, and moments that I’ll never forget.
What truly made this trek exceptional, though, were our guides: Krishna, Ujjwal, and Dichma. Their knowledge, experience, and passion for the mountains were evident from the very beginning. They shared stories, history, and insights about the region that brought the trail to life in a way I never expected. I felt safe, supported, and inspired the entire time.
Whether it was navigating tricky sections of the trail, helping us acclimatize properly, or simply sharing a laugh at the teahouses each night, they were always one step ahead and deeply committed to making sure our group had the best possible experience.
If you're considering the EBC trek — do it. And if you're lucky enough to have Krishna, Ujjwal, and Dichma guiding you, you're in for something truly special.

An amazing adventure of a lifetime to Everest Base Camp! Our experience with Freedom Adventures was unforgettable, led by our guide Krishna and Ujal, supported by Dikman, and porters, who made an outstanding team to guide us there! We were so well looked after the whole way.
Krishna is a very experienced guide, knowledgeable, caring, and went above and beyond to ensure every one in the group was very well looked after. He was very patient and humorous, ensuring a positive energy in the group throughout the trek. Ujal was also excellent and well-experienced, with a deep passion for the mountains, he was also very professional and kind, and will make you feel at ease with everything from start to finish. Dikman was so attentive and helpful, ready support with anything. The porters were also remarkable, they were so reliable, strong, and polite. All in all the whole Freedom Adventures team made the trek so special! The trek itself offers wonderful views and scenery of the Himalayas, walking among some of the highest peaks in the world was humbling and unforgettable! We were lucky with many days of good weather on end, which offered clear views of mountain peaks along the way like Lotse, Ama Dablan and Everest, amongst others. Thank you Freedom Adventures and Skyhook!

The mountain and beauty around it is spectacular
It is very nice trekking experience
The reason for the giving only 2 stars is because we are not very impressed with our guide.
When the weather was bad and my wife was struggling instead of encouraging her he has discourage her and offered to return to the refuge. Although we could have taken more time to reach the summit and stayed extra day at the refuge. That way we could have achieved our goal
Travelled on: Hike Mount Toubkal (4,167m)
The first half (Toubkal) was fantastic, but the second half wasn't as good. Climbing Mt Toubkal is amazing, but the refuge is very grotty. Be prepared to rough it. In contrast, the second half was very touristy. The guide at Ait Benhadou Kasbah was extremely poor (a complete waste of time) and we reported that back to our driver/guide. The driver/guide took us to some very sub-standard places for lunch. We had the impression it was where he made most commission. After a while, we walked out and found our own places to eat. Infinitely better! Other than that he was a nice guy and tried his best. First half 5 stars, 2nd half 2 stars.
Travelled on: Mt Toubkal & Sahara Desert Adventure
Book Mt Toubkal, do NOT book the desert (PRE-Sahara) part… trust me!
I usually don’t write reviews, but in this case I took the time, so others won’t make the same mistake I made. You should read this, it might just save your holiday in the amazing country of Morocco.
Mount Toubkal
This part was amazing. From start to finish it was well organized. Our guides did an excellent job, they were very kind yet sufficiently serious to make us feel safe all the time. The conditions in the refuge are not good (sleeping in rooms with up to 22 people side by side, drops of condensed breath and sweat dripping onto the people in the top bunks, poor toilet situation…) but I think this can be expected at 3207 m above sea level. Make no mistake, the summit hike itself is very hard (we did it with a lot of snow in April). Only 5 out of our group of 12 made it to the summit. So when they write „good fitness required“, please take that serious, also out of fairness towards the rest of the group. One downside of that part of the tour to me is the use of mules which are ascending to the refuge separately. These are not being treated well, they are for example being kicked and beaten (not by our two guides).
„Sahara“
I have travelled and seen a lot. But this part has by far been the worst travel experience and the most extreme tourist exploitation I’ve endured. The three days are not just „long distances of driving“, they are ONLY driving except for one brief stop in Ait Ben Haddou, a few 5 min breaks for photos and one longer lunch break per day.
(Our driver was nice though.)
During these lunch breaks we were brought to predetermined restaurants, whose owners obviously knew the driver and with whom they supposedly had made some kind of agreement. We were not allowed to choose our table, were not allowed to sit outside (even though there was space), but were instead placed in the last darkest corner of the restaurants. The waiters were unfriendly and the food was bad, which is very rare in this country with usually excellent hospitality and delicious food. The thing is that in these places they don’t need to try, because people are literally brought to the table by the driver. On the last day we had had enough, so after we had again been placed in a dark cold room and being denied to sit outside in the sun, we decided as a group that we will leave and look for a different restaurant by ourself. The owner of the place got quite angry and told us that we have to be back in 30 min (what the hell?). It took us one minute and google maps to find a place 200 meters down the road, with significantly better ratings, lower prices, friendly waiters and excellent food.
In Ait Ben Haddou we had less than one hour of time! The guide who was supposed to show us the city did not speak English, he memorised the basic sentences by hard and couldn’t answer any question. It would have been so much better to travel independently and explore this (still very touristic) city by oneself.
Getting to the worst part, the desert. First of all according to most sources online (feel free to check for yourself), Erg Chebbi is NOT part of the Sahara. It is a maximally touristically exploited strip of sand in the Pre-Saharan zone. You will not be visiting the Sahara desert, the tour is only named „Sahara desert adventure“ to attract tourists. The name of this tour is obviously misleading and should be changed. We arrived in the evening and were loaded onto camels. These animals are obviously suffering significantly. One camel was screaming all the time and walking quite unstable, obviously being completely exhausted and extremely afraid. When we asked the guide about that camel, he said that the animal was only young so it „doesn’t know yet how it works“… and then he kicked it. It had scars in its face and was the only camel which had the leash fixed to metal rings put through its nostrils.
While travelling on the camels, there was a lot going on around us. There were SUVs, quads and motorcycles everywhere, driving the dunes unrestricted and thereby destroying them. We stopped briefly to watch the sunset and then continued to the camp. The (many) camps do NOT consist of idyllic tents in the middle of nowhere, they do consist of (many) basic huts with metal doors and without electrical sockets (not necessarily bad, but good to know in advance). We were fed and then there was some basic drumming at the fire. Most people went to bed early since we had to leave the camp at 6 a.m., again by camel. During this camel ride the guide was incredibly unprofessional. Not did he only consider the female members of the group, but at some point started flirting properly (including multiple times touching her calves to „scare“ her) with a girl that must have been around 12 years old. At some point he was riding with her on the same camel. Also did he give the front leash to one of the girls, which made the way back take muuuuch longer.
And when one guy in our group let his water bottle fall of the camel, the guide picked it up, and drank it (what the hell?).
Other people I’ve met have told me about similarly bad experiences in Erg Chebbi/Merzouga. And I’ve spoken to locals across Morocco and they know that this strip of sand is used/abused to milk tourists. It is mass tourism on a scale that I haven’t seen before and you constantly feel it, that you are being processed like a product.
So do yourself a favour and do not book this trip. Book only Mt. Toubkal and enjoy it and the beautiful Atlas mountains to the fullest. Then travel back to Marrakesh and explore other regions of the country either on a different group trip or independently. Morocco has so much to offer, don’t waste your time, money and energy on this… please!
Reply by Atlas Vertical Travel:
Hi Niklas, thanks for taking the time to share. We're very sorry that the Desert section of this trip didn't live up to expectations, but are glad to hear that you had a good trek up Mt. Toubkal. Congratulations on that achievement!
This extended trip with two days in the desert is a popular option for those who want to see some of Morocco's most famous sights in a very short time. We generally find that this is an excellent value for money extension. However, we appreciate that individual perception and experience can be different. We value this sort of feedback, which can be useful to other travellers.
Morocco is a large and diverse country and there's sadly no way around the long driving distances. It's a very different region and experience to the Atlas Mountains and the Toubkal hike. We try to make this clear by indicating the travel hours on the itinerary. Apologies if things felt rushed. The driver does make stops along the way to break the trip and see some popular attractions on the route.
The stops (as on the itinerary) include Ait Benhadou Kasbah, Ouarzazate City, and Rose Valley, which are extremely popular locations that attract thousands of visitors each day. We do understand that it would be good to have more time to explore these places but as a lot is packed into these two days, the team needs to stick to the schedule.
For those hoping for an off-the-beaten-track experience, these destinations are indeed very 'touristy' and we'd agree that in this case, a different itinerary may be preferred. Prices of souvenirs are usually much more expensive at these locations, and most people choose to shop around in Marrakech markets.
As you mentioned, the team stops at pre-selected restaurants for lunch. These restaurants have been chosen based on hygiene standards. There are of course, cheaper alternatives around, but we prefer to stick with the option where we know that the food is prepared in a safe, clean environment with more rigorous inspections. Experience shows it's worth spending a few extra pounds to minimise the risk of upset stomachs. We do feel that this factor could have been better explained by your guide and we apologise for any miscommunication.
It's better to keep the group together for logistical and safety reasons which is why the guides can be hesitant to let guests split up to choose their own restaurant. It usually works better to keep everyone together and use the selected dining option where most people can find something to their liking.
The Erg Chebbi Dunes are some of the tallest in Morocco and are widely considered part of the Sahara Desert. There is a lot of contradictory information on the internet. As Erg Chebbi is right on the western edge of the Sahara, some people may perceive this as not being deep enough in the desert. Again, it comes down to personal perception and expectation. This destination is clear in the itinerary, we leave it to guests to decide if this is the trip for them.
The treatment of camels is and always has been a contentious issue. Our local host does not own or manage the camel rides and unfortunately, doesn't have much control over this activity. We continue to monitor the global concern over this issue and, for the time being, have decided to keep this listed. There is a choice to skip the camel riding and hike 45min- 1hr to the desert camp instead.
I hope this helps a little to address your concerns. Once again, we are very sorry that this sightseeing section of the trip was a negative experience for you. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience as it allows us to work on clarifying the description and making improvements where we can.
Wishing you all the best!

An absolutely fantastic trip from start to finish. The "Riads" on our first and last nights in Marrakesh were fantastic and having two afternoons to explore before the drive to the desert and before going home were nice to have.
Special thanks to Ayoub for being our guide for the whole trip and being so helpful and putting up with us! Also special thanks to Ider and Lahcen for the wonderful food and hospitality in the desert and for looking after us so well.
I'll definitely be back for a longer trip into the desert and for a trip in the mountains!

A fantastic break! Courtney is a brilliant host and the instructors, led by Hitam, are fantastic. The riad was comfortable and the food was great. The surfing and yoga were suitable for beginners and more advanced people too, and the other activities when the wind was too strong for surfing were great too!

Nice trip overall, but too many people in the group during the mountain hike — it would have been better to split into smaller groups and adjust the pace accordingly. Crampons weren’t necessary but still had to be rented for €10. We also weren’t offered the 1.5 liters of water per day that were supposed to be included.
During the Sahara trip, we basically just drove for three days. There were only very short stops for photos, mostly so the driver could take a break. On the first day, we visited Ait Ben Haddou for an hour, and on the second day, we spent an hour at Todgha Gorge.
For 2 out of 3 lunches, we were sent to an all-you-can-eat place, even when we weren’t really hungry — which also ended up being more expensive than ordering à la carte.
Headscarves that normally cost around 20 dirhams (€2) were sold for 120 dirhams (€12) at one stop, even after bargaining.
We arrived in Merzouga around 5 p.m., rode out into the desert on camels, had dinner, and watched a short show (which was interrupted by bad weather). The next morning we got up at 5 a.m., rode the camels back for an hour, and then spent 9 hours driving back to Marrakech.
Unfortunately, we didn’t get to see much apart from the scenery through the car window.

It was an amazing experience!! I'm still recovering from the trip and I have no words to describe how much it affected me! The views, the guides and the group energy were amazing and I'm so thankful to everybody!!

Fantastic experience from start to finish! Our guides Muhammad and Hassan were brilliant at providing the knowledge and safety during the trip. They made the experience so much fun!. The food was delicious and fresh each day and gave us the strength needed for the hike. Thanks for the memories ☺️ An experience we will never forget 🙏

Experience of a life time!
From the very first minute when we were picked up in Marrakesh we were so well looked after, from the people in the Riad to the chef everyone was brilliant! I would like to give a specific thanks to Mohammad and Hassan who were the perfect guides. Made sure we went at a good pace so everyone on the trip was able to summit and also were great company through out the trip.

An amazing experience - Both guides Ihcen and Omar from start to finish were extremely patience-helpful and gave great encouragement throughout the hike. Thank you both for helping me reach the summit!

I recently completed the Mount Toubkal trek with Skyhook Travel and had an absolutely brilliant experience. Everything was sorted from start to finish with pick-up in Marrakesh, all the accommodation, meals, and drop-off. The guides were fantastic really friendly, supportive, and made sure everyone was safe and enjoying themselves.
The logistics ran like clockwork, with accommodation arranged in Imlil and at base camp, and plenty of tasty Moroccan food throughout. The base camp was basic but well looked after, and the group atmosphere made it even better.
Summit day was tough but unforgettable setting off in the dark, hiking by headtorch, and catching the sunrise over North Africa was something I’ll never forget. The guides kept spirits high the whole way and had traditional mint tea waiting for us at every stop.
Skyhook made the whole trip hassle-free and really memorable. With great planning, amazing local guides and a welcoming atmosphere, I’d definitely recommend them to anyone thinking of climbing Toubkal or doing a similar trek. A proper five-star experience.

This was an incredible trip, it completely surpassed my expectations! I'd not really put down South Africa as a priority holiday destination as I'd previously had a slightly negative impression of it, but was tempted by the value of the trip. I'm very happy to say I was very wrong, the country is beautiful and all the locals on the trip were lovely, especially our guide for the week Christine. The week is action packed, full of activities, I can't recommend this trip highly enough, especially if you like me were feeling sceptical of South Africa, just book it you won't be disappointed 😀

Honestly one of the best experiences I have had, Hassan and Mohamed are amazing guys who made sure we were safe and well informed all through the trip and I couldn’t of asked for a better first time in morroco. For £300 it’s an absolute steal and so worth it. The food was incredible, so a big shout out to the guys who cooked for us, I didn’t get their names but they made me feel very welcome. I done it solo but I’m definitely thinking of booking again to show my friends. Thank you again! 😁

Had an amazing time with our guides Mohammed and Hassan - they were amazing. Everything went really smoothly, and was planned out really well. Views on the way and from the top were insane, well worth the tough hike!
Travelled on: Hike Mount Toubkal (4,167m)
Absolutely amazing trip! Definitely up there with one of the best experiences of my life. Our guides, Hassan Armde and Mohammad were absolutely amazing, very attentive and a delight to be around! It was a challenging trek so good physical fitness and determination are a must! The whole trip was planned very well and everything ran smoothly, I felt in safe hands the whole time which is so important when attempting a challenge like this! My only negative would be the vegan options for food. There was a lot of variety and fresh veg, salad etc, however not many vegan protein options which would have been very helpful considering the physical nature of the trip. Would highly recommend this trip, especially our amazing guides!
Travelled on: Hike Mount Toubkal (4,167m)
I have just come back from a trip to Mount Toubkal with Hassan Armde and Mohammad. They were fabulous guides and it was a great group of people. The guides ensured that everyone was going at a pace that suited them and everyone was enjoying it. They both had a great sense of humour and made it very fun (especially considering they were both in Ramadan during the trip). They were very knowledgable and caring towards us throughout. The food was also amazing (although my only negative would be that there wasn’t much options for veggie/vegan protein for some of the group at some meals)
Overall a great trip and would really recommend !!!

I had a fantastic time, with a really nice group of people. Mohamed and Hassan were our guides and were fantastic. They supported everyone in the group, and helped make the trip incredibly enjoyable. The whole trip was really well organised, with great food, good accommodation and unbeatable scenery. And all at a great price! Would 100% recommend. It was also really nice to meet the other people in our group.

I've never done anything like this before and if it hadn't been for my friend Jackie telling me about it, probably never would.
BUT I'm so glad I did. The sense of achievement getting to the Hospice and staying the night is huge.
It's motivated me to learn to ski and lose my fear of ice & snow.
It wasn't easy... but that's sort of the point!
Well done Tom for a superb few days in the mountains and a cuddle with 3 St Bernard girls at the end.
Fantastic experience - I'll have a look at what else is on offer.

An amazing experience. Toukbal was stunning, we had a lot of snow and needed crampons from the hut. I would recommend an ice axe in these conditions, certainly our 2 guides had them. We all struggled with the cold. Stunning views. Bring spare shoes for the hut. It was great to have the extra days seeing Dades, Todra and the Sahara - such a contrast and so beautiful.

The Mt Toubkal trip was amazing from start to finish. Despite bad weather the first day, the summit day was completely clear meaning we had the most stunning views. We were treated extremely well with great food and excellent guides in Lhcen and Mohammed, who I can’t thank enough. I would 100% recommend this tour to anyone interested. It was an amazing experience I’ll never forget.

I had an amazing trip from start to finish. I arrived at the airport and was collected with other members of my group who immediately became friends. Our group of 10 became a great team which gelled like family.
Our accommodation in Imlil was comfortable, the food was delicious and traditional and the host Lahouceine was very nice, organised everything and extremely professional.
I can say enough about our two wonderful guides. Muhammad and Lchen take a bow. These guides are the best. They watched every member of the team. They made sure everyone was OK at all times during the climb. They were knowledgeable and thorough.
The refuge is basic. It's the same for everyone from every group..
The climb to the summit is strenuous and the wind and temperatures were extreme. It's tough. Overall I am so satisfied with the service and care I received from Atlas Vertical and SKYHOOK. Great value for money and I have lifelong memories to take home. Sincere thanks to all.

Thank you Skyhook for this incredible experience. I met amazing people and had a fantastic experience.
I can’t say enough good things about Lahouceine, our amazing host in Imlil. He truly is the "Skyhook man on the ground!" Everything was handled beautifully, from our transportation and meals to our accommodations and the two days of hiking. Every detail was perfect, and his kindness and politeness made all the difference.
Lhcen, one of our two guides, was fantastic! He walked alongside us all the way to the top, always smiling and ensuring we felt cared for, even as we faced terrible weather conditions. He is a wonderful person!
Let’s also not forget Mohamed, our second guide! He brought so much joy to our journey with his humor, always cheering us up and singing along the way. His warm heart and willingness to help made our experience even better.
I truly appreciated everything both of them did for us on this trip, especially during Ramadan. It was remarkable how they managed it all with such professionalism!

What an incredible trip. It was planned to perfection. Everything went smoothly and to how it was listed. The food was really good, we had so much and was always kept full! But the people made the trip. The other people who had booked were all like minded and fun individuals, and the guides we had were really helpful, supportive and pushed everyone to the top. Thank you Skyhook, Abraheem and Hassan.
I highly recommend!

Just back. Interesting adventure. Went with my daughter with a group size of 13. Great company; slightly variable meals and walks made much more difficult because of the terrible weather. Most days terrestrial rain. Dan our guide was very accommodating with our individual needs; providing me with a taxi so I could join walks later in the day as I had injured my ankle before travelling. Overall we had a great time.

Amazing trip, brilliant experience, lovely people, great guide, a lovely way to experience Berber culture and get a brief insight into life in the Atlas mountains. The trail itself was stunning both up and down helped by the snow and sunshine x shame that stopped us reaching the summit leaving many disappointed but for me it was enough as it was to have had that amazing hike and stunning place to hang out. Our guide Lassan was really helpful, knowledgeable and happy to answer any of our quest ons along the way. The food was freshly cooked, felt really healthy and nourishing and there was plenty of it. The chef also drove the mule and what a team they made. Felt protected and safe in their care. Thankyou Lassan it was definitely an adventure to remember 😊

A lovely few days spent in the beautiful Tatras mountains. Our guide Andy was superb, extending our hikes to ensure we seen as much as possible whilst giving lots of information about the Tatras mountains. It was a superb trip this year and the weather was perfect.
Very well organised and all the staff were extremely helpful.

I could not recommend skyhook enough. The company has been amazing from start to finish and the attention to detail was amazing. Hussain our guide was accommodating, polite and very friendly. Our mountain guides, Mustafa and Hassan were really really good. I cannot recommend them enough. The help, care and support we received climbing Mt.Toubkal was to a high standard. Food provided and entertainment along the way was priceless and kept us in high spirits. Both Mustafa and Hassan are highly trained and know the mountain well. They were able to gauge when members of the group began experiencing altitude sickness and were very hands on providing the right care and advice to keep us going. Although not all of us made it to the summit, it was an accomplishment none the less and we will definitely be back to finish our hike.
The base camp was clean and had a nice friendly/social environment. Their was hot water when needed and toilets etc. Definitely an eye opening and humbling experience but one that we highly recommend.
All hotel/lodge stays were really well kept and clean and hot water was supplied which was great after the hike.
The Sahara dessert was a once in a lifetime experience and we as a group enjoyed this a lot.
We have met some lovely people along the way and think skyhook is an amazing way to make new friends and memories.
We are already looking to book our next adventure with skyhook.
Highly recommend for those that struggle to set their own itinerary. With skyhook, everything is already taken care of.

This trip was one of the best organized ones I’ve been a part of. It even exceeded my expectations in every aspect. It helped that it was a small group and the tour leader (Mutaz Jarrar) is very competent and obviously loves what he does; a beautiful soul who made us feel cared for at every turn and treated us as friends. The team behind him was very able, and very professional and made sure we had what we needed to make everything comfortable at the camps. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who would like to explore the beauty of Jordan up close with a multi-day hike that would give one days filled with sheer delight and wonderment!

All the guides and supporting staff were superb .

A brilliantly organised trip. Our guides were really patient, the hospitality at the hostel in Imlil was fantastic. The organisation as a whole was smooth and efficient.
It was definitely harder than I anticipated it being, so would recommend anyone considering doing the trip checks the kit list carefully (probably more important in the winter). You can hire more technical equipment and sleeping bags, but general clothing/footwear are important to get right for this trip. The refuge below the summit was better than expected, it was comfortable and clean. Every meal served was perfect for what we needed and they catered for all needs.
I can’t fault the team, the trip or the organisation. 100% recommend.
Travelled on: Hike Mount Toubkal (4,167m)
This was a great trip. The hiking was not to strenuous and the Green Lake hike in particular was beautiful. The shorter hike was quite busy, as it was a Sunday and nice weather so lots of people were out. The tree top walk was a lovely way to end the trip.
The accommodation was brilliant, particularly the food. There was a three course meal every night and the food was delicious. We bought lunch at the mountain huts, where you can buy soup for around 7-8 euros.
A highlight for me was the hot tub and sauna, which have a view of the mountain. They provided prosecco for us as well, which was a nice touch.
We had a brilliant guide (Patrik) and a lovely group of eight.
There wasn't as much snow as I was expecting, particularly around the accommodation and lower levels of the hikes, but the trip was wonderful nonetheless and I would highly recommend it.

My 4th skyhook trip and this has got to be 1 of the best I had. Patrik, our guide, was very knowledgeable and attentive and I can't fault him. The trip itself was amazing not too difficult with plenty of places to stop, chat and refresh.
From the transfer to the villa and the hikes, thermal pools and huts, me and my partner had a blast with the group.
Top notch food at the villa 5* review isn't enough for this trip!

The guides were good unfortunately I had some food poisoning so didn’t make it to the top. The guide then changed my plans so I went to Zagora desert and paid for an extra night in Marrakech. I would have preferred to have had the option for the sahara. I didn’t realise Zagora wasn’t at the time. Therefore I’m abit disappointed.
Reply by Atlas Vertical:
Thank you for your review. We're really sorry that food poisoning from your time in Marrakech impacted your trip—never fun, especially on an adventure like this.
Given the circumstances, we did our best to provide options to make things more comfortable for you, including offering a shorter drive to the dunes instead of the longer journey to the Sahara.
We appreciate your feedback and will make sure future guests are even clearer on the options available. Hope you're feeling better now and that we’ll see you on another adventure soon!

We had a great time on the ice climbing trip. It was good fun, Ben and Johanna were knowledgeable and took us to some good spots!
The hostel was clean, comfortable and had lots of cooking facilities. The only slight criticism is that it was super hot on a night so I didn’t get much sleep, but otherwise a fantastic trip!

A superb trip! Truly awesome. Nothing could be faulted.
The hostel is rustic but comfortable and scrupulously clean. Beds are great and come with privacy curtains, a reading light and charging points. The showers are wonderful, as is the sauna. In the kitchen there is everything you could need to cook. There is booming Wi-Fi throughout.
The hire kit is good quality, with a range of options if you want something different.
The instruction on the course is superb. Ben, Casper and Jonas were excellent! They have an empathic approach, were supremely safe, and coached me beyond what I believed was possible. Training covered everything from moving well on ice through to technical rope work. Each day was different and built on the day before, confidence came naturally. I feel like I have gained 10 years of experience in 5 days!
If I was to sum the trip up in two words, I would say “Very Good!” And in one, excellent. Thank you

Fantastic trip. Everything was well organised and ran smoothly. The food was excellent and they were very good at catering to my dietary requirements. Having previously done Kilimanjaro, I would say this was equally physically demanding - Kili was longer but more of a gradual ascent. Doing it in January meant the temperatures lower down were warm but not roasting, and the snowline started from the refuge hut. The snow added a great challenge to the walk and made the scenery even more stunning.
I did notice that many members of our group did not have crampon compatible boots with them. While this was deemed ok by the guides, in my experiences putting crampons on 2/3 season boots is totally unsafe. We also weren't given ice axes. Walking poles were great 90% of the time but there were a couple of falls which could have been stopped by a self arrest.
Apart from a few questionable safety decisions, the climb was an unforgettable experience and one I would highly recommend to those looking to tick off a big mountain.

Our hiking adventure in Kenya exceeded my expectations! This is a surprisingly beautiful and diverse national park, with lush vegetation, lakes, water streams, waterfalls, breathtaking views and stunning mountain peaks.
I really appreciated the quality of the camp equipment, the support from our crew, the delicious food prepared by our cook and Dennis’ patience and positive energy. We all made it successfully to Lenana Peak and then took the long, very long way down to the last campsite.
With very few hikers and rewarding sights, Mount Kenya is an absolute must-do!

You can go with no experience and enjoy this but you can also be experienced and they will find you challenge. Absolutely top guides!!! The hostel is great and hostel life is just what you would expect, happy like minded climbers from all over the world here for the ice! I can't thank you enough. See you next year!

I recently took a weekend ice climbing course with this fantastic company, and I couldn't be more impressed. The course was led by Ben and Lars, both of whom were outstanding instructors. They provided clear guidance and ensured everyone felt confident, safe, and challenged. The group was friendly and welcoming, creating a really positive and supportive atmosphere. The location was cosy and perfect for unwinding after a day of climbing. Overall, it was a brilliant experience with great teaching, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to get into ice climbing!

Stop thinking about it and do it...!
The most amazing, challenging, uplifting experience ever. From the moment we made the decision to go and we arrived in Peru we were looked after from start to finish. Credit to Papa Freddy and his team that took us on the Inca trail and Machu Picchu. You were amazing....

This was my first hike and to no surprise it was extremely challenging. What helped me reach the summit was an amazing guide in Hassan Armde; without him I would probably have turned back an hour into the hike. Hassan and his fellow guides ensured we were prepared, aware of the risks of the hike and checked in frequently incase of altitude sickness. We started our stay in Imlil where we were welcomed in a lovely place with fantastic hosts, food and a warm cosy bed. After a 6 hour hike to camp de Toubkal, we settled in the camp where we were welcomed with a lovely warm meal and rested well in preparation for a 4am wake up and 5am departure for the summit. All in all, I was very pleased with everything but cannot be grateful enough to Hassan Armde. After this great experience I will for sure be challenging myself again!

Amazing experience of hiking at 4000+ with a lovely group of people, in the first day of the year! Our guide Omar is a very nice person, he and the team did a great job taking care of all in the group and supporting people. Food was tasty and suited for great effort. Refuge with minimum conditions but still very good vibes from people gathered for the summit. Imlil accommodation could be improved ( very cold, no paper in the toilet, had a nice fire in the eating area only for couple of hours). I recommend this trip for passionate hikers and also for people who want to test their limits

This was an amazing trip. Our instructors Ben and Jonas were extremely helpful with all of our needs. We had bad conditions for Ice climbing yet, Ben and Jonas still managed to make it work, make it enjoyable and even more of an adventure. I couldn’t recommend this anymore to anyone wanting to try Ice climbing. This is definitely the place to go.

An amazing and memorable experience, words will fall short. JC (Inkayni Tours) was extremely friendly, kind and helpful. He and his team took care of our group like family. The communication was great, the facilities were awesome, and the food and hospitality offered was terrific in these remote mountainous regions. JC, our guide is an extremely hard working and passionate individual who loves his job greatly. He gave us a lot of valuable information about the Quechua civilisation, culture, traditions, language, architecture, stories, food, the geography and history of these lands and lot more. It wasn’t just a hike, it was a journey through centuries. He kept us motivated and pumped up throughout this adventure. Thank you so much for such a great experience and memories that will forever be cherished!

Could not have asked for a better trip, the accommodation was cozy and well maintained, the climbing was well organised ran safely, Ben and Casper were excellent guides and helped everyone get the most out of the experience. I was able to push my technique even over just the two days.

We had a fantastic time climbing Mt Toubkal.
Our guide lhcen was fantastic. He is a local and has a large amount of knowledge and experience in the area. lhcen Went above and beyond for us to feel comfortable and achieve our goal of submitting Mt Toubkal.
All our food was cooked by the skyhook team and carried by Katalina the mule to the hut.
Thanks guys.

Excellent couple of days on the ice. The guides were very informative and patient. Allowing everyone to have a great time. Highly recommend

Was a really awesome trip. Learnt a lot about the basics of ice climbing, and Rjukan was a beautiful place to see. Would highly recommend for anyone with a keen interest in climbing who is looking to try ice climbing or mixed climbing in the future. Brilliant Hostile.

Such an amazing experience, our guide Mohamed was incredible too, so helpful and kind from start to finish, i couldn’t recommend this tour enough!
Travelled on: Mt Toubkal & Sahara Desert Adventure
This was rhe first time I have done a trip through an agency or with a guide and it exceeded my expectations. It was well organised from start to finish and out guide Mohamed was amazing. He looked after us so well, he kept us safe on the mountain, was always caring and kind and had a great sense of humour and fun.
Our chef cooked the best food ...much better than any restaurant we went to.
The climb was tough, especially in winter and shouldn't be underestimated. The desert scenery was amazing and the Berber camp was interesting and fun..
My only suggestions would be more acclimitazation is needed...perhaps an extra day r half a day trekking from the refuge and the route from the summit to Imlil is too long...more than 2000m of descent and could be shortened with an over night stay half way.
Also the hotel in Imlil had no heating in the rooms and was freezing. It was difficult to sleep with the cold. So heating would be good.
Otherwise a brilliant trip and a briliant giuide.

Highly recommend this weekend in the Swiss Alps packed with action and adventure! Tom and his team were super professional, gave us lots of info before and during, and made sure we had a great experience as a group. Snow, mountains, dogs, lovely food plus not only snowshoeing but also sledding - what's not to love?

Bit late to the party with my review but here goes. It was honestly one of the best things I’ve ever done in my life and would definitely return at some point. The guides were fantastic and the accommodation in imlil was also great. The only one thing that I would say was the food portion sizes weren’t great but I’m sure that’s something that was taken on board for future. If I was to do it again I would certainly book at tent or a private room at the refuge, that’s just my personal preference. But I would definitely head back and probably try and spend a little longer round imlil. Thank you to everyone involved and hopefully see you again.

Absolutely fantastic trip, with breathtaking views from the summit.
Our guides, Mohammed and Lahouceine were great. They helped with absolutely everything they could and despite them not speaking English as a first language, they understood everything and explained everything they could how it was possible to them. 10/10 for them, could not recommend them enough.
The only issues are:
After booking, there is very little contact from anybody. Even though it states “all trips are guaranteed to run” you don’t get any messages about what is happening. We had no idea what was going on when we got to Imlil, in regards to what luggage would be taken by the mules and whatnot. Only when we were setting off in the morning did we get any information and this was from the guides.
We were not advised to take any footwear other than boots to the refuge, which we were the only group of everybody that had no other footwear than our hiking boots and there were not any that could be handed out, but with how cold the floor is, taking some sliders/slippers is definitely advised.
Food that you are served is definitely insufficient for the amount of walking you will be doing in such a short amount of time. At breakfast, we were served 1 hard boiled egg each, bread in a basket with honey/peanut butter/jam. At lunch a tagine was served, which had the smallest amount of meat that you could possibly imagine. This is the same with teatime, a soup for a starter and then tagine with very little meat. At the refuge we were served spaghetti, but the same here with next to no meat at all.
Lastly, of most of the groups that we spoke to, most of their trips were over 3 days instead of 2 and upon speaking to a few locals after our trip, they believed that doing it in 2 days is too much, but that is on your own perspective as our group was completely fine with it, but another group that we spoke to were not.

Firstly don’t get me wrong! What i went for was a challenge. And that it certainly was. The hike itself was just what I expected.
However where to start with the rest of the package. The communication was poor to zero. I messaged the guide via the website weeks before the trip with a question and never received a reply. We did not get any briefs prior to the first morning setting off. The guide only arrived 10 mins before. Which meant everyone was not prepared or organised.
There were last minute additions to our hike that had booked direct with the guide and ended up paying half of what we had and received the same package.
The biggest problem for me and others on the trip was the food, or the lack of it. There was literally zero protein and fats in any of the food provided. The food was repetitive and extremely lacking. Absolutely not enough for grown men undertaking a physical challenge. One boiled egg and some bread for breakfast? A chicken tagine every day with literally one tiny piece of meat to feed 6 people.
I would really not recommend booking with skyhook. They are literally just a middle man and there is zero comms whatsoever.
The guides in country did their best and certainly were good guides once we have had a chat with them about our expectations. But the rest of the package I’m afraid was exceptionally poor. with some experience of the companies and organisations I feel my verdict is fair, and I am comfortable to say, avoid at all costs. And consider booking direct or with another company.
I would not use skyhook again!

Hi Joel
Thanks for sharing your feedback. We're glad to hear that the hike itself went well, congratulations on the achievement!
Very sorry to hear that other aspects or communication was disappointing in any way.
Lahouceine (our Toubkal host) is usually very responsive and we're sorry that he didn't get back to you sooner to confirm that your departure was guaranteed. As a standard policy on Skyhook, listed trips are guaranteed to run. We are sorry if this caused any concern.
As a small company, the Skyhook team takes pride in finding and working with local hosts to deliver the best possible experience. Trips and logistics are organised by the locals which is why we put you in direct contact with your host through the message system as well as providing a contact number for faster communication (visible on the booking dashboard). As a third contact point, guests are able to contact the Skyhook team through the website. We've tried to make this as easy as possible and are always on hand to answer any questions or help out where we can. We generally get back within an hour during workdays or give the host a prod if they have missed messages.
We've noted your concerns and will address these with the host. We generally find that this trip is excellent value for the price but do understand that there is always room for improvement. Your advice is invaluable in this regard, thanks again for sharing.
We wish you many more adventures in the future.

Overall a great experience. The food was much better than expected if a little similar each day. The guide was attentive at times but could do with slowing the pace down especially when reaching higher altitude.
The standout for me was capturing the amazing sunrise!
Highly recommend this trip.

We had a fantastic trip. We were so well looked after. The food was great and plentiful. The guides were brilliant - we felt really safe in their hands and they were fun and friendly too. It was a tough hike - especially the long descent back to Imlil after the summit but we had incredible weather and the views were just spectacular at the summit. It was a fabulous experience all round and we would definitely recommend it.

I recently completed the Everest Base Camp trek, and it truly was the trip of a lifetime! The entire experience was very well organised by Himalayan Leisure and Upendra the Director in Kathmandu. I cannot thank the team enough for making it seamless and enjoyable. From pick-up at the airport, to checkin at the hotel and the briefing all was sorted in a way to make it easy and all questions were answered. The reverse process after the hike too was easy and seamless.
A huge shout-out to our guide, Aasham, who went above and beyond to ensure everything worked out perfectly. His knowledge, patience, and attention to detail made the trek not only manageable but thoroughly enjoyable. He was always there to motivate, guide, and share insights about the region. Tashi delek.
If you're considering this trek, I wholeheartedly recommend this operator. From start to finish, everything met my expectations. Thank you for an unforgettable journey!
A few tips for the winter hikers:
- Bring more warm close for the teahouses. This is the time you will feel the cold. In the sun during the hike the temperatures are just perfect.
- Check if there are options (at cost) to have a bit of a warmer night. Some teahouses might have some nice add ons like electric blankets. I paid an extra for single occupancy with bathroom/toilet, where available. Was worth it!
- Make your water bottle a 'hot water bottle' and put it in your sleeping bag in the night. Nice side effect you have warm water in the morning to drink and brush your teeth.
- Bring a warm hat for the night and some earplugs (these dogs!)
- Don't get neurotic about water supply. There are drinking options all along the way in the start and check with your guide towards the end.
- Follow your guides advise regarding food and drinks

Our guide Hassan Armde led our group for 2.5 days for Toubkal. Being a local from the Atlas region, he was very passionate and proud to show us parts of his town while walking up the trail, chatting with the locals we passed. He created a great group dynamic right away. He is very patient and funny with a great sense of humor, he made us all laugh while we talked and got to know each other. Our group was half experienced and half beginners and he was always very clear about what was going to happen with the plan each day and what we are to do. Any time we asked for anything or had any questions, he got it done right away to make us feel comfortable in order for us to enjoy to the fullest our trip and our experience during this excursion. During the day of the summit, he made sure we were all together, we went at a good pace that was good for everyone, he took photos of us when we were too cold to take out our phones. This was one of the best summit treks that I've had with a great group dynamic and with everyone being able to make it to the top without any problems or injuries. If you are thinking of hiking Toubkal, ask for Hassan :)!! Thank you again for this great experience, I will come back again for sure. If I come back for a trek in Morocco, I will hope to have Hassan again (he does treks not only in the Atlas region but in other parts of Morocco!!). See you all soon, Samantha.
