About us | Skyhook Adventure

About us

Based out of Rjukan, in Norway, Skyhook Adventure is Europe’s leading ice climbing school. Our small team of brilliant instructors run highly reviewed courses, both in Norway and beyond.

Many of us have instincts that are hard to budge.

You have an incessant curiosity – a need to travel, explore and learn things. You have an urge to have adventures – to push the boat out and try something hard. Be it change the way things are done at work, move country, climb a difficult mountain, or all of them! And you appreciate the sensory overload of, say, climbing frozen waterfalls in a remote Nordic town with no direct sunlight.

Here at Skyhook, our small team specialises in helping you discover a handful of our favorite places, learn some new skills and have an adventure! Of course, your definition of adventure will be different to almost everyone else. Some people want to experience the sensory overload of climbing frozen waterfalls in a remote Nordic town with no direct sunlight. Some want to learn the skills and spend a lifetime improving and practising their craft.

Here at Skyhook, we're passionate about climbing

As instructors and guides, we are absolutely passionate about what we do; showing our students and clients the best of mountaineering. From the moment you receive your course welcome pack you’ll see that you’re in great hands. And whether you’re looking for a cool destination to go independently two years down the line, or forgot the best type of helmets to buy – you can always drop us a message and your instructor will get back to you straight away. It’s all part of making sure you get the most out of our trips.
