On this 2-day walk, you'll get away from the hustle and bustle of Marrakech and enjoy the natural beauty of the Atlas Mountains. Visit a variety of mountain communities, meet locals and learn about their customs, and enjoy spectacular views from beginning to end.

Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech – Imlil – Tizi Mzik - Tizi Oussem village

After breakfast in Marrakech, pick up and travel to the high Atlas Mountains through Tahnnaout, Oued Ghighaya, and Asni, taking in the breathtaking views of the towns along the way.

Arrival in Imlil (65 km from Marrakech), meet the guide and muleteer, and then begin the trek & climb Tizi Mzik pass (2684m), spectacular view over Imlil valley & Toubkal Summit, continue to Tamsoulte to visit the highest waterfalls in the Atlas Mountains (100m in height), and then descend the Azzaden valley through juniper forest to Tizi Oussem village. Overnight in the village guest house. 5 hours of trekking beside a river with flowing water in the high Atlas Mountains.

Day 2: Tizi Oussem – Id Issa village – Tizi Oudid (2000m) – Mattat- Imlil - Marrakech

After breakfast, leave Tizi Oussem and continue down to Id Issa hamlet before continuing up to Tizi Oudid mountain pass (2000m), cross Matat village after a wild thurifer juniper forest, grab lunch under walnut groves, and relax along the river. Return to Marrakech in the afternoon.

We will pick you up from your hotel in Marrakech or wherever you are in Morocco in a very nice private vehicle. and will drop you off there at the end of the tour.

During the trek, food will be given. Please notify us ahead of time if you are allergic to anything.

The difficulty level ranges from easy to moderate.
