Day 1: Full day in the Atlas Mountains

During this Atlas Mountains day trip from Marrakech, you will explore Berber villages of Imlil valley which is composed of small Hamlets. Trek with an English speaking local mountain guide. You will see orchards, waterfall, villages, enjoy lunch on terrace of a guesthouse.

You will be picked up from your accommodation in Marrakech around 9 in the morning (from your hotel) for a 1h30 drive south up the Moulay Brahim Gorges, Asni where a weekly market takes place every Saturday.

From here we'll continue a short distance up into Imlil (1,740m), set in the upper level foothills of the Western High Atlas mountains. On arrival you'll be given a welcome glass on mint tea in the village and have a chance to take in the views of the surrounding mountains. From here you can see the highest mountain in North Africa - Mt Toubkal (4,167m).

After lunch we set off back down the other side of the valley back to Imlil and the return trip to Marrakesh. We'll drop you off at your hotel.
