4-day winter hike over the Cairngorm's highest mountains.
You'll meet your guide and the rest of the team in Aviemore. After learning about weather and avalanche forecasts, you'll head straight onto the snow, concentrating on good footwork and efficient movement. In the afternoon, you'll learn some fun winter mountaineering skills, before heading for the summit of Cairngorm mountain (1,245m).
Today you'll head for the second highest peak in the UK, Ben Macdui. If conditions allow your route will take you along the lochan shoulder, with spectacular views into the Lairig Ghru - the snowiest Corre in the UK.
Bynack Mor, hidden along the Ryvoan pass and the 'green loch' gives a remote feel to this outing. Today's a slightly longer day, but well worth it for the views of the pine forests at Glenore.
Creag Meagiadh, providing one of the most dramatic areas on your trip - taking in the views of the majestic lines, gullies and huge icefalls. You'll make your way up through the window before heading for the summit.

Yes! It is very unlikley that the itinerary will run as outlined due the to Scottish Winter being taken one day at a time to maxamise the teams saftey, confidence and overall enjoyment on the course.
We aim to have twin rooms, shared occupancy with one of the other participants.
You can arrange single occupancy at your own expense if required.
