Itinerary

Day 1: Bye bye city, hello Nature

At 10:00 you meet your fellow travelers & drivers in the centre of Podgorica. Off we go!

As we leave behind us the city the road ascends. The panorama rapidly improves as the road gets worse. Your lunch is scheduled at Rikavacko lake, where we have a long afternoon break.

It's another 2 hours driving th the lodges where we spent the night. En route we pass another lake. Especially on hot days a welcome stop for a quick dip in the healing waters. Tonight we sleep in cosy lodges on a scenic summer pasture under Komovi mountains.

Day 2: A summit for breakfast, "katun roads" for lunch

We get up early to see the sunset from the nearby summit of Vasojevicki Kom. An amazing experience! After breakfast we hit the road again. Many bumpy miles ahead of us. Katun are traditional Montenegrin mountain villages where shepherds and their cattle spend the summer. Todays stage connects many of these katuns.

We camp at a katun and share the table with the shepherds. There is no better way to get a sample of their traditional lifestyle.

Day 3: Back to the capital

The Montenegrin capital seems ages & miles away when you open your tent and admire the sunset from your top-of-the-world bivouac. The trip isn't over yet, the way back is still full of adventure.

First we drive to Hridsko lake where we climb a summit and hike down through fairytail forests. After lunch and a goodbye to the mountains we drive back to the capital through the Cijevna canyon. A swim final break is scheduled at a pebble beach. Towards dinner time we are back in Podgorica and hug goodbye.

Both hikes we suggest are optional (can be skipped easily) and suitable for anyone with a normal physical condition. The first hike however, is not suitable for people who suffer fear of heights. The average hiking times are 4-5 hours for the first hike and 2-3 hours for the second.

We meet at 10:00 at the parking in front of sveti Djordje church, at Gorica park in central Podgorica. You will recognise the vehicles and the guides with the Skyhook signs.

We have 5 drivers available and each car fits up to 4 passengers, so the maximum groupsize is 20.

In each car we fit 3 or 4 passengers. We aim to mix the group at each ride, in order to maximise the social experience.
