Start the day off with a delicious breakfast at the campground. After being kitted up, your journey down the Great American River will start! Had a yearly trip planned for Yosemite cancelled due to the Ferguson Fire. Last minute, they had arranged camping accommodations for our group of nearly 30 people. Great site, with an awesome kitchen space to hold our group meals. Bathrooms are a trek uphill (kind of a bummer) and could use some TLC. Staff was extremely accommodating for our large group. It’s a hike in site so be prepared for that. The site is right on the river, but not swimable at the site, though there is a fantastic swimming spot a very short walk down the road. We booked a rafting trip with them on the south fork. The guides Casey and Jeff were fantastic. Very safe, knowledgeable about the river and it’s history. Took our kids as young as 8. We loved it so much we booked another trip doing the middle fork (age 14 and up class 4/5) This was a lot of fun. They provide an amazing lunch on the river and we had a great time. Highly recommend these guys for camping and rafting!!

This was the first time white water rafting and was not certain how this would work for our group of three. We had one person with physical limitations but who has always wanted to try white water rafting, one 23 year old female who had only rafted a short course before which had a couple of Class 2 rapids, and myself who is a 54 year old female who had never white water rafted before. Gregor was our pilot/guide and I cannot say enough how amazing and remarkable he was.

This was the best experience for all three of us. We all had so much fun and were able to maneuver all the way down the river with no issues. The water was cold as it splashed over the raft and as we went down rapids but we never felt in danger of flipping the boat or falling out.

The scenery was breathtaking, the rapids were exciting and fun, the lunch was great, and the entire trip was more than any of us could have imagined. This was definitely the highlight of our trip and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in trying.

I know the reason we had such a great time is because of Gregor. He was amazing.

We did a two day trip: first day was the full south fork adventure and Paul was our guide. Paul was amazing - detail oriented, knowledgable and a lot of fun on the river.

The second day was spent on the middle fork of the American River with the tunnel shoot with Chris. Every guide that we met, even socially, was kind, funny and provided an exceptional experience. This was the third experience that I have had with this company.
