A unique retreat in Cornwall with energising surf and restorative woodland yoga.
You will meet your hosts, guides and other adventurers on your weekend at our HQ bang in the centre of Newquay at 6pm. Once the warm welcomes and introductions have been made, you'll drive in convoy to our Wild Camp, a 10 min drive from the town. If you are arriving by public transport, let us know and we can help arrange a lift with the instructors or other adventurers! You then have the rest of the evening to become accustomed to camp living and to get to know the others on your weekend.
After a camp breakfast and a cuppa! You will head back into Newquay for a day filled with activities.
You'll meet the guide at the surf shop right on the beachfront, before heading out for your first surf lesson. If it’s your first time you'll learn the skills to feel confident enough to surf in the future on your own accord. For those that want a little bit more, the guides can accommodate that too.
You'll then have some time to enjoy the town, explore the beaches, shops and of course eat at one of the many many places that Newquay has to offer
Later in the afternoon, you'll head over to your luxury wild camp in the woodlands. It's here that you'll enjoy some yoga, a few drinks and some good food around the camp fire.
You'll start the day off with a light breakfast in the hammocks, before heading off for your morning yoga session in the open barn. The focus of the session is to awaken your body and recharge the muscles for your next surf lesson.
All stretched out and ready for the day, its back to Newquay for the final surf of the weekend. Recapping on the previous day's lesson and capitalising on existing skills, the aim for the day is both progressions and simply having fun in the surf.

You’ll wildcamp on untouched private land 11 miles outside Newquay. Bell tents are arranged in a tranquil woodland connected by festive banners and twinkle lights. Each bell tent sleeps 4 people. Air mattresses are provided: all you have to bring is a sleeping bag. There’s a composting toilet onsite, gas showers, and fresh water is provided for washing up, but otherwise you’ll be without facilities in the peaceful countryside.
Nope. This weekend is perfect for those who have never surfed or taken part in any yoga previously. Whatever the session the guides will break it all down into easy to understand bite sized bits.
Newquay has a range of restaurants for any budget, as well as a supermarket across the street from the surf shop. You'll need to buy ingredients for dinner at the camp, simple is best as you will be BBQ’ing and cooking over the camps open fire. Your host will provide you with breakfast on Day 2. Given the diversity of food available in town, all diets can be accommodated including vegetarian and vegan. You will be provided with a basic camp breakfast that should be enough to keep you going but please bring some extra snacks if you're an extra hungry morning person.

These retreats and weekends are open to any age. Predominantly booked by solo travellers, couples, and friends the average age ranges from early thirties to late early 50's. Under 18's are more than welcome so long as with an adult or consenting parent.
Absolutely - St Christopher’s Inn is directly opposite us. Outside of that, there are a whole host of accommodation options like Premier Inn or local BnB’s. It’s really down to your budget more than anything else.
All trips on Skyhook are run by small, hand-picked local guiding companies. For this trip your guides run Cornish Wave, based in Newquay.
By booking through Skyhook you'll be joining a small-group trip. This can make it nice and sociable (you'll be added to a group chat after booking), and guarantees great value for money!
