I don’t normally leave reviews, but in this case I feel I need to say that this is one of the greatest adventures I’ve ever had. The mountain hostel in Imlil felt like a gorgeous home from home, and the hosts were incredibly gracious and generous. 🏡 Our porter was kind and helpful, and having our bags carried and delicious food cooked for us made the trip so much easier. 🍛🧳🫏 Our guide, Youssef, took the time to understand our abilities from the very beginning of the hike and managed a group with diverse levels of fitness and experience exceptionally well. He shared fascinating knowledge about local food, other things to do in the area, and was simply a really fun person to talk to. 🥾🌰 Most of all, though, it was Youssef’s expertise as a mountain leader that made him stand out. He read the mountain brilliantly and knew the routes like the back of his hand. When I had wobbles with my confidence on the snowy sections, he guided me through them. When we reached the summit and were honestly feeling elated, Youssef took photos and videos for us and shared them afterwards. Looking back, I’m left with such a warm feeling. I feel incredibly proud to have summited this mountain, and without Youssef’s support I genuinely don’t think it would have been possible. 🌅💖 We had never used a guide before, but with Youssef leading us we felt safe, confident and happy every step of the way. He was the best mountain guide we could have hoped for. 🙏 The mountain and its valley are breathtakingly beautiful. I can’t do them justice with words. 🗻😍 Thank you, Youssef, and thank you, Skyhook, for such an incredible experience. ✨

Met the most wonderful bunch of people on this trip. There’s something about this kind of challenge that just attracts the most friendly and humble kind of people. The trip didn’t go 100% to plan as there was a storm the day we arrived so had to spend the night in Marrakesh as there had been a mudslide blocked by the road to Imlil. A contingency plan was made quickly though and accommodation sorted. Unfortunately, this meant going from 400m in Marrakesh to 3200m at the base camp in a single day. I’d never been in altitude before so my body really struggled with this. The base camp is busy and you won’t get much sleep, bring ear plugs and loo roll, but that’s all part of the adventure. Having traveled early/mid October no snow was expected but the storm meant some really slippy conditions on summit day. In hindsight I would have at least brought micro-spikes with me. I didn’t quite reach the summit but I’ll be back another time fitter and ready to stand on the top of North Africa. Will definitely be booking other adventures with Skyhook

The trip was absolutely amazing from start to finish and was more than I could of asked for. Each day of the trip had it's own challenges and was very enjoyable. The people in my group were all amazing and shared some great experiences. Our guide Tom was brillaint when guiding us through the mountains / Forests and shared shared some interesting stories and facts. The food throughout the trip was excellent choice and very tasty, both in the property we stayed and in the mountain huts. Really would like to go back and do the winter version of the trip.

This adventure exceeded expectations in every way. From the chaos of Kathmandu to the remote serenity of the Khumbu Valley, I loved every scene. Guide Rosan brought a calm leadership to the expedition that gave everyone the confidence we could complete the expedition. Although physically and mentally challenging, the pacing and acclimatisation days gave ample opportunity to enjoy the journey and rest ourselves for each leg of the hike. Highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Nepal and the Himalayas for the first time, you won't be disappointed!

Just want to say what a great experience I have had canoeingacross Scotland from Firt William to Inverness which two excellent guides Dan and Kiran who helped us enormously with everything we needed. For me a 72 year old it was a endurance, cold damp and tired but that's what's it sll about. Rain occasionally sunshine. Amazing sunsets, rainbows and of course Scottish mountains and spectacular scenery. Yes it was hard work but so worthwhile . Meeting 9 other people where we all got on so well was again such an important part of the trip.. the memories of physical discomfort, wet tents and damp clothes combined with the spectacular Scotland and lochs. Wild camping at its best, so many fun times around the evening campfire and I can't think the two guides for taking care of myself and the group. Although some of their jokes could be better. If you are thinking about doing this don't hesitate take a leap of faith and seize the moment...

This was a fantastic trip with an awesome group of people, I would highly recommend this adventure! Our guides, Dan and Kieran, were fantastic being very knowledgeable, friendly, and entertaining. The weather added an extra layer of adventure to the trip, so I would strongly recommend bringing the right kit for the weather. Food was excellent and a very good range of snacks too.

This was an amazing trip! At points the weather was pretty rainy, but it didn’t dampen our spirits one bit because we were blessed with beautiful rainbows too! It was just fantastic to be outdoors, surrounded by Scotland’s beautiful scenery. All in all it was a brilliant experience from start to finish with a great group of people - and our capable guides, Kieran and Dan, made sure we had an unforgettable adventure. 5 stars from me!!

I didn’t enjoy this as much as the Scottish kayak. The group was very mixed and our guide had an accident half way through and got replaced by another who got lost and literally followed google maps as well as being less informed. The hotels were average at best with no food variety at all, sometimes our ‘packed lunch’ was just a piece of bread, which was disappointing. No contingency for poor weather in the mountains so basically lost 2 days where we sat around in an empty, very basic hotel. Albania is lovely and the idea of the trip good but needs improvement

Amazing trip in a group of people from different countries! Tasty food and great accommodation. Stunning scenary on our walks and opportunities to swim in Ionian sea at night time. For 5 nights we stayed at the beach resort and could spend time on the beach to recharge for the walks next day. Unfortunately our guide had to leave but we had replacement of the guide rapidly. It was slightly unsettling however we managed to stick to the plan and be flexible when needed. Great experinece!

This was an adventure never to forget! Our leader Dan was great! He coached us,(I've never been in a canoe) fed us, kept us entertained and most importantly kept us all safe on the water. All of the team chipped in with jobs and got on great together, (we shared a WhatsApp group beforehand to help with tips and break the ice so to speak) It was no means an easy task and each of the team had different abilities but plenty of determination to complete this holiday. (One team member was on a walking stick!) You are on water and it gets everywhere, waterproof means it isn't!😆 You will have wet feet pretty much all of the time, I had waterproof socks, which aren't. My day shoes were permanently wet. Just make sure you have dry socks and shoes to put on after you land for the evening. (The terrain can be varied on camping so sturdy shoes are good, but not too heavy as you have to carry them) Decent REAL waterproof over jacket and trousers are needed. I had a waterproof coat plus a heavy duty over jacket and trousers. Wear clothes that can dry quickly, (trousers mostly wet) also a warm hat. I wore padded cycling gloves as the oars can rub especially from the 1st finger down to the thumb. You are given a large dry 60L bag to put your own sleeping bag and their self inflating mat (if you want super comfy bring your own) this will also contain your spare set of dry clothes, toiletries, night wear, undies, tent torch, head torch, phone battery charger (no plug points) I found travel vaccum bags great, (roll out the air) also individual clip lock bags for each bunch of items are a boon...be warned! as you won't have much space for stuff! And you will be carrying it! Make do!! You are given 2x 10L bags to carry stuff during the day, 1 for keep dry stuff (dry shoes ect) and the 2nd, most importantly, for snacks! (Dan had a never ending supply of snacks) Bring a bottle for water and keep hydrated! The loo is a porta loo, but for a pee do what bears do!😂 (There are plenty of woods!) The food is made from scratch (Dan) is good and wholesome and can cater for special dietary needs. Brews up all the time on land ☺️ You learn to put up and down your own tent every day, this is in a separate dry bag. Everything used is packed up and carried in the canoes. We had a great team and everyone helped each other... I have done all this info because I learned alot from previous feedbacks and I wanted to share. Have a go! I enjoyed it immensely... even though Nessy got a bit feisty one day, but with Dan's support and expertise, we got though it. The scenery and being on the water was marvellous. I loved it.

I really enjoyed this trip. It had a great mixture of calm paddling through the Caledonian canal sections surrounded by beautiful mountains, across stunning lochs and a really exciting rafted up sail along Loch Ness. It was well led by Dan who did very well keeping us safe on the lochs when the wind became powerful. There was a stunning nights sky on a clear night where the stars were spectacular. Everyone had their own tent and I slept well in mine and highly recommend a good 3 seasons sleeping bag and a separate silk lining for warmth. A memorable adventure! If you can tag on a stop in Inverness at the end I recommend the spa hotel the Palace for a relaxing finale after all the wild camping.

Fantastic trip! It was so wonderful to be out in the open, seeing the world from the canals and lochs, camping in woodlands and on beaches. Like nothing I've ever done before. It was definitely hard work, so don't underestimate it. Dan was our guide and he was fantastic. He made sure we were well fed, had all the snacks we needed, he looked after us, explained everything in detail and was there to support us when we necessary. He was an excellent guide. The crossing over Loch Ness was quite gusty and he tied all the canoes together so we sailed up, which was an incredible experience. Now I know what to expect, I'd do it all again, and will definitely book on another trip. But I can't stress teamwork enough. We all worked well together, had fun, supported each other, and if you're someone who doesn't want to help out, or be by yourself, this might not be for you.

The promotion picture on the website advertising this trip in now way reflected the conditions we met. The canals are perfectly calm but the loch conditions were extremely squally and choppy. We arrived at the meeting point and met the guide , Sam. He informed us that 2 people had cancelled a couple of days earlier and that a third person had cancelled just that morning. This left 5 of us plus the guide. Sam told us that the equipment for 6 would have to be spread between 3 canoes rather than 4 or 5. We left Neptune's staircase in pouring rain, it was quite picturesque. None of us had any canoe experience but according to Sam we kept a good pace. On arrival at the lock at the start of loch Lochy, we pulled in to the side to unload the canoes. the equipment was very heavy so be prepared, this is not a trip for unfit people, it involves carrying all the gear then pushing the canoes on a 2 wheel trolley for about 500 yards. By this time the rain had stopped and it was sunny with a tail wind. On entering the Loch, Sam decided to join all the canoes together with ropes. I think for better stability and hopefully to try the small sail that we were carrying. We enjoyed paddling along to our first overnight stop about 2 thirds of the way up the loch - we got further than expected. We then unloaded all the gear and set up camp. Sam did the cooking (all good). The tents were a bit tricky to begin with but easy to erect once you worked out the basic structure. The blow up mats were good quality and quite comfortable. We awoke the next morning to dry but blustery conditions. but Sam tied 2 of the canoes together and kept his as a single. He was sharing with Olivia who was travelling alone. We set out to cross to the far side of the loch as it was going to be less windy there. It was hard going and was quite a choppy crossing; it proved difficult to keep the canoe from turning in to the wind. We got to the end of the loch and again had to unload and transport gear and canoes over the Locks. My wife asked Sam how bad the conditions had to be to call off. Sam advised her that it wasn't 'Sam' bad enough. We then started out on the canal leading to Loch Oich as single canoes. The canal was very calm but as soon as we reached the start of the loch the water became quite choppy again. We had travelled perhaps 500 metres along the loch when a squall came from the side capsizing our canoe immediately. Both my wife and I somehow ended up trapped under the canoe and it was one of the most frightening experiences of my life. I was probably less than 15 seconds under water but seemed longer and definitely long enough for me to consider the possibility that I could drown. I somehow got out to the shore side of the loch but couldn't see my wife. I was hanging on to the end of the canoe and it took me perhaps 20 seconds to get round to the other side to look for her. She had managed to get out from under the canoe on the opposite side and was lying on her back in the water. She had been under the water for longer and said she couldn't find a way out. Sam had been about 50 yards ahead of us and was making his way back to us by this time. We both had to swim to shore and walk along to a jetty once we were in shallow enough water. All of the equipment was recovered, most had stayed in the canoe, and the waterproof kit bags had kept our spare clothes dry. We managed to get dry clothes on and, due to the adrenaline rush, we were both in shock and shivering. Sam suggested we carry on saying if the tents were wet, they would dry out within 5 minutes. My wife said there was no way she was getting back in the canoe , even if that meant walking the 11 miles to Fort Augustus, she stated that she had feared that she would never see her new grandchild who is expected in January and was not willing to put herself at risk again. I was in complete agreement. the other 3 members of the group also decided that they did not want to carry on. Apparently , ours was only the second capsize in 8 years of trips. If that is indeed the case then I can only think that we were in single canoes more heavily laden than normal and in worse conditions than normal as it happened so easily to us. I have to say , I had lost faith in our guide's judgement and did not want to risk further risk of capsize with potentially more serious outcomes, for example, further out from shore in Loch Ness. I say this as someone who is not averse to risk and is not new to outdoor pursuits. I have climbed all the Munros in sometimes quite harsh conditions, we have been on rafting trips in Sweden and completed many long distance walks including Lands End to Jon o'Groats. We are concerned that either mistakes were made regarding the weather or overloading of our canoe resulting in the capsize. If we were tied together in the previous loch maybe we should have been tied together in Loch Oich. The guide Sam was efficient but perhaps not quite as cautious and as he should have been with novice canoeists.

Loved the trip and highly recommend. The hikes through the Zagoria Valley were stunning. We weaved our way up and down the lush valley sides dotted with small farms passed goats and their shepherds. Stopping to eat and stay with families in their modest guest houses enjoying home made goats cheese, vegetables, salads, honey and olives. We ate well. And were guided beautifully over the Dhambali Pass and well looked after to a fault throughout by the local guide from Zbulo . The trip also includes dips in the river and natural thermal springs plus guided sights in the ancient Ottoman town and World Heritage site of Girocaster and Tirana.

What an experience! I recently took on this challenge and couldn’t recommend the experience highly enough. From start to finish, everything was well organised and the team were brilliant. Kev was fantastic at keeping us motivated and making sure we were prepared, with plenty of guidance, encouragement and expertise throughout. I’m sure I’ll be hearing “efficiency” and “stride it out” in my head for some time yet! A huge thank you also to Steve and Nick for getting us safely and efficiently from A to B, while keeping us entertained with plenty of laughs and running commentary along the way. It was great to meet such a brilliant group of people and take on the challenge together. Everyone gave it everything, despite the inevitable aches, pains and injuries along the way! What an incredible adventure canoeing across Scotland turned out to be. It was one of the most rewarding experiences I've ever had, combining breathtaking scenery, physical challenges, and unforgettable friendships. The journey was far from easy. Long days on the water, changing weather conditions, and the occasional tough portage tested us both physically and mentally. However, overcoming those challenges as a team made the achievement even more special. There were times when determination, resilience, and teamwork were essential, and everyone stepped up to support one another. One of the highlights of the trip was the amazing people I met along the way. The camaraderie, shared laughter, and willingness to help each other created a fantastic atmosphere throughout the expedition. The team spirit was truly inspiring, and it was incredible to see how everyone pulled together, no matter what the day threw at us. A special mention must go to our fabulous guide, Matty, who remained calm, positive, and reassuring in every situation. His experience and steady leadership helped keep the group focused and confident, even during the more challenging moments. Another standout was the food. After long days on the water, we were treated to fantastic meals cooked from scratch. The effort and care that went into every meal made a huge difference and provided a real boost to morale at the end of each day. The combination of stunning Scottish landscapes, personal achievement, teamwork, and great company made this an experience I'll never forget. It was wonderful, challenging, and immensely rewarding from start to finish. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an adventure that pushes you out of your comfort zone while creating memories and friendships that will last a lifetime.

A superb trip! We got lucky with the weather and had a whole week of bright sunshine on crystal clear sea, through which you could see lots of jellyfish! The islands were beautiful and pristine, and truly wild. We camped on windswept rocks (or more sheltered sites between the trees for those who wanted to) and went for days without seeing signs of any other people! The group of people was great. There were eight of us plus the two guides. Aside from one couple, none of us knew each other before the trip, which meant we all started on an even footing. We had a lot of fun eating together, kayaking together and hanging out and playing games in the evenings. The guides, Thomas and Katha, were great! They were friendly and fun, and always eager to teach us new things such as Thomas showing us how to make a fire using a ferro rod. Katha cooked amazing food every day for us, including catering perfectly for my dietary requirements. Overall, I had a great time. An amazing experience to summit a mountain. The scenery was stunning. Our guide Musa and Wahenya were supportive and friendly. Felt first day could have been a slightly longer walk but the camp was great especially with the fire. Porters and chefs very helpful and food was wonderful. Summit day was so long so be prepared it took us nearly 15 hours to summit and then reach the next camp approx 22km in one day which was exhausting. Views from the summit were beautiful but be ready to clamber over rocks and up a ladder near the top. A wonderful experience but I did struggle with the altitude - guides kept a close eye on symptoms to ensure I was able to summit safely. Sleeping in tents the whole trip with mats, and sleeping bags with fleece liners. Would recommend.

Brilliant trip from start to finish, got a bit damp on a couple of the afternoons but nothing major. Guides were so helpful and friendly. The porters worked so hard yet were pretty much out of sight the who;e timwe. Such a quiet route, we only saw 4 other hikers in the first 3 days. A little altitude sickness but nothing too disabling. Having climbed Kili perhaps the camps were a little more 'back to basics' but if anything made the experience more authentic.

Not 24 hours as the title suggests. There's a mandatory driver rest stop which is 1 hr. The guide then tells you can take the hour of total time. As the guide said there not there to help you but just there toensure group safety, but when you do fall and need help there no where to be found and members of public have to help you. Dont except a verbal health and safty briefing or plan for the hike at the start of the challange.

It was a truly wonderful experience. The scenery was amazing. Our guide, Chucky, was very knowledgeable and able to help out those that needed it effectively to keep us all safe. He was communicative both before the trip and whilst it was on. The organisation was efficient. Everything worked to plan as nothing was left to chance, it was evident that Chucky had done this many times in the past. His cooking was first class taking everyone’s dietary requirements into account. What made it easy was that everyone helped out: washing up; pitching and breaking up camp; carrying the equipment to the wild campsites and around lock gates. Hard work but team work makes the dream work! I can thoroughly recommend the trip it will stretch, excite, and amaze as you look at the environment from a different perspective.

Working as a team was encouraged and this built a close relationship within the group so that we were supportive of each other when the going got tough. It was amazing challenge - but a bigger effort than I expected, and I now have arms and shoulders like a young Arnie Schwarzenegger. Our guide Keiran was funny and very efficient on camp set up and field kitchen, and chef skills were excellent. He definitely had safety at the top of his list, especially in the high waves of Loch Ness. A bunch of dodgy strangers turned into a respected team of friends, and made the trip truly memorable. Thanks to C,C, L, I, J, B and R as well as K x

Truly life changing trip that will reignite your love for travel. But this hike is no joke! Definitely make sure you have a baseline level of fitness and can be active for hours at a time, as the days are very long but the week goes by fast. Our guide Fernando led our group (the Sexy Cougars) expertly with punctuality and humor. The cooks (shout out Juan Carlos) cooked incredible food that I will forever salivate over and still crave. They’re very accommodating for dietary preferences. Our group bonded through the shared difficulty of the hike, memories, and laughs. Don’t second guess booking. I would do it all over again. Alpaca is very professional and fantastic about pickup/drop off schedules.

I recently completed the Mount Toubkal trek booked through Skyhook, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. From start to finish, the entire experience was flawless.Skyhook made the planning completely stress-free. The booking process was smooth,. The true highlight of the trip was my guide, Mohammed. He is a truly fantastic and positive person who completely made the experience for me. I started dealing with a bit of early altitude sickness during the trek, and Mohammed was incredibly supportive, patient, and encouraging. He kept my spirits high and safely helped me push through the toughest parts. I felt completely looked after the entire time. The Hospitality & Experience:The rest of the local Berber team, cooks, and porters were also exceptional, keeping us well-fed with delicious hot tagines. The trek is physically demanding—especially the early morning summit climb—but reaching the top was absolutely worth it.If you are looking to climb Toubkal, look no further than Skyhook. Ask for Mohammed if you can—he is the absolute best!

I understood that this adventure would be hard, tough, and soggy, looking at the weather forecast before we set out, but I had no idea it would be such fun or that there would be so much SAILING. We all knew we were so fortunate to have such a capable guide in Keiran. His empathy and imagination gelled our group in no time, and he knew we were all game for a real adventure and provided it in bucket loads. Thank you Kieran and thank you Skyhook

Absolutely outstanding experience from start to finish. Not a day without rain and a couple with crazy wind but our guide Kieran was amazing at keeping the group’s morale up. He’s a great cook and such a patient teacher, using humour and the occasional command (!!) to keep us going. We were a group of mixed ability and experience and thanks to Kieran, we all left having learned a lot, gained new friends and very keen to book our next adventure! Five stars!

Well! I admit a bit of a wobble first night in heavy rain negotiating putting up a tent for first time in 20 years, undressing and dressing in said tent with a mostly damp if not soaking set of clothes as the clouds burst nearly every day , peeing in the woods and being very much out of my comfort zone, but Kieran was on hand with advice in a kind, fun and optimistic way throughout, which was reassuring! His rousing speeches before each new section had is all pulling together ! It was harder than I had imagined , but I really enjoyed the physical challenges of the paddling, battling the sail against the wind and the portaging and I’ve come back a bit stronger I’m sure- maybe I’ll be able to do a press-up now! TBH I would have swapped the tent for a YHA or a B&B 😂, though became a dab hand as the days went by, but would not want to have missed out on Kieran’s fabulous and creative feasts or the banter of my new canoe friends, all of whom were just brilliant companions and made the trip so much fun. There was a fantastic spread of ages from 24-74 and we all genuinely got along so easily. No one had a sense of humour failure even in the torrential rain, and lots of laughs were had and some excellent sea shanties were composed! The views were spectacular and breathtaking, the rain or post rain mist making for amazing photos taken and shared by the group, we passed castles and saw an Osprey nest and visited the monument of the seven heads! Gruesome! Actively looking at other tours for next year- like the sound of the montblanc tour!! On to the next adventure!

What an amazing trip canoeing down the Great Glen Way! 🛶🏴 Our guide, Matty, was absolutely fantastic, knowledgeable, friendly and always happy to share his experience. He also cooked up some delicious evening meals, which were very welcome after a day on the water 😋😋 It was an incredible adventure from start to finish, with stunning scenery and great company. I’d highly recommend the trip, and especially Matty as a guide. If you’re thinking about doing it, go for it, you won’t regret it! 🛶⛰️⛺️

A great trip, a first for me having a canoe holiday, but I felt that the information that was given beforehand helped me to prepare. Matty our guide ensured that we were all kept safe, and well fed. His jokes are hilariously terrible though. A true adventure through beautiful scenery, moulding a mix of strangers into a well oiled team who supported one and other to have the very best time . We had a truly epic adventure on the Great Glen - gorgeous campsites, good tough equipment and great food. I got to learn new skills and improve my canoeing whilst having great fun. Above all what made the trip amazing was our guide Matty who consistently and calmly guided us through both the trip in general and some hairy moments on Loch Ness in particular. He brought good humour, clear instructions and made us feel safe and confident in unfamiliar situations as well as ensuring we enjoyed the experience as a holiday and not just a challenge. Really highly recommend this trip.

Wow what a week we had the absolute best time! What an adventure from start to finish! 🛶🏕️ Matty was our tour guide and honestly he was brilliant! Before we even got on the water he explained everything clearly and gave us a little demo paddle so we all felt confident before setting off. Matty’s cooking was great too and he made sure everyone’s dietary needs were catered for. He kept us updated with the weather throughout the trip and always made sure we had the right layers on when the conditions were going to change. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him and he really helped make the whole experience so enjoyable. There were eight of us altogether with two people in each of the four canoes. We quickly became a great little team and built up such a lovely friendship along the way. The teamwork soon kicked in and we honestly never stopped laughing from beginning to end! 😂 We’ve made some amazing memories and had the best time. We’ll definitely be booking another adventure at a different location next year and hopefully Matty will be our guide again! 🛶❤️ Thanks for an unforgettable week!

A mind blowing trip! I have to say that I was really excited to go along on this trek to the summit of mount Toubkal, but the whole experience far exceeded my expectations. From beginning to end we were very well taken care of, the food was authentic Moroccan home cooking, with loads of variety and generous portions, and the people that I met along the way were truly spectacular. The trail is challenging and should not be underestimated, but our guides Mustafa and Hassan were just brilliant. Super friendly guys who enjoyed a bit of bants and were very knowledgeable about the route and points of interest. Not for the faint hearted, but if you're up for the adventure of a lifetime, then these are the guys to take you to the top. I'm already planning my next Skyhook adventure, everyone needs a bit of this in their lives. The locals are so welcoming, and after years of travelling, there is nowhere else like this that I have ever been. Highly, highly recommended. Yalla Yalla Toubkal! Shukran

What a challenge and such an experience! Richard our guide was great. He had the perfect blend of knowledge and experience and his approach to getting us up and down each peak within the time frame was spot on! This is no easy challenge... The gruelling nature of each climb and decent takes a huge toll on your body. The real challenge is not so much the physical which don't get me wrong is incredibly tough... But the lack of rest/sleep/recovery whilst travelling in a cramped minibus surrounded by all your kit (wet and dry) is a real test of resilience! I feel there should be some kind of vetting process with regards to a person's level of fitness so awkward and difficult decisions need not be made by both the guide and participants regarding continuation at a certain point. Also a medal for completion should most certainly be included. All in all a mega trip though!

It’s really hard to put into words what an incredible adventure this trip was. Completely out of my comfort zone I was prepared to jump in and embrace whatever came our way. I knew from the moment we met our wonderful guides, Netta and Carla from Nordic Paddling that we were in for an incredible experience. A meet and greet on the banks of the fjord with a demonstration of all the kayaking gear, followed by a lovely local style meal where we got to know our fellow travellers was the perfect end to our first night. Up early on day two, a healthy breakfast filled us for our day of Kayaking. I was impressed with the care taken to explain the techniques and safety precautions we needed for our day ahead. The weather was not perfect with rain and drizzle on and off for most of the day but the kayaking along the lyesefjord was breathtaking. Really hard to put into words but the scenery, the journey and the camaraderie within the group made it a special day. On arrival at our home for the next few days we quickly learned that the ’wild camping’ was indeed wild! We were given a demonstration on how to put up our own tents and then a rundown of the campsite and rules needed to make everyone’s stay as comfortable as possible. Once everyone was set up and unpacked we were treated to a well earned meal around our campfire prepared by Netta and Carla. It was delicious. An early night was had as we had a 6am start for our hike up Priekestolen the next day. Not going to lie. After the previous days kayaking my legs were very sore but I was determined to make it up and oh my goodness was it worth it. The hike up and the stunning views of the Fjords are breathtaking. No photograph can do it justice. Our guides were patient and stayed with the slowest of the group to make sure everyone was safe and no one was left behind. That evening was spent chatting and enjoying each other’s company around the camp fire with another tasty meal which was a great way to end a spectacular day hiking and sightseeing. Our last morning was spent with a beautiful casual kayak further up the Fjords. The weather was stunning and to get to experience the fjords from sea level was truly magical. We returned to camp, packed up our belongings and tents and returned to the Nordic Paddling offices to prepare for our return home but before we finished we all sat around and reflected on the few days we had all spent together and the shared experiences of our trip. A perfect end to your activities. The Wild camping experience really exceeded my expectations. It was wild! It was tough going in parts but It was so much fun to experience the Fjords of Norway in this way and It really was a once in a lifetime experience that will live long in my memories. Nordic Paddling and their guides were amazing to deal with and I couldn’t recommend them enough. I will definitely be looking at other adventures with Sky Hook.

I’ve just completed the Matterhorn Highlight trek with Skyhook and ALPS Adventure. A fantastic experience from start to finish. The booking process was straightforward and professional, and the pre-trip information and communication were excellent. I always felt I knew what was happening, what I needed to bring and what to expect. The trek itself was superb, challenging enough to feel like a proper adventure, through some genuinely spectacular mountain scenery. The huts were excellent, the food was great, and sharing the experience with such a friendly and diverse group made it even more memorable. But a special mention has to go to our guide, Sally, who was absolutely brilliant. Despite being relatively young, she clearly has a huge amount of mountain experience and knowledge. At all times I felt we were in extremely capable hands. She managed the group and the different abilities within it effortlessly, always seemed to know exactly what was needed, and struck the perfect balance between being professional and keeping everything relaxed and fun. Just as importantly, Sally was simply great company. Friendly, good-humoured, interesting and very much part of the group rather than someone just leading us from A to B. She played a huge part in making a very good trip into a genuinely memorable one. I came away tired, happy, with some fantastic memories and a bunch of new friends which is probably the best recommendation I can give. I’d happily book with Alps Adventures again and will definitely be looking at what adventure comes next.

Although my wife and I are avid walkers we had never been on organised guided walk before and had not stopped in mountain huts either. We were a little nervous as the trip approached but we had nothing to worry about, our guide Sally was welcoming, attentive and really knew her stuff. Ours was a mixed group with age ranges from early 20’s to early 80’s, I had great conversations with everyone in our group and it was a really supportive and friendly group. The routes and the mountain huts were fantastic, we really enjoyed the food, the drink, the camaraderie and the views we will remember for the rest of our lives. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone considering it, we are already looking at our next adventure.

What an amazing week hiking in the Alps! Firstly, a big thank you to Tom for joining us up with the group after our flight was cancelled. Everything was so well organised from start to finish. Every day of the trip brought something different — incredible mountains, beautiful trails and those special moments when you stop, take it all in and appreciate just how lucky you are to be there. Thank you to our amazing guide Charles, he helped me slow down, connect with the mountains and appreciate them on a much deeper level, adding a sense of meaning that went far beyond simply hiking. I am just coming down to planet earth from an amazing trip “Tour Mont Blanc “ The whole experience will remain with me for a long time. The views were outstanding and photos will never do justice to the sights smells and sound of the silence . Charles our guide made the trip very special by his connection with nature . He was able to tune into the needs of the group. He allowed time for personal reflection and I valued the moments walking in silence through pine forests. Charles scheduled frequents stops on the routes to debrief, share feelings or view areas of historical interest. He was thoughtful and showed kindness to those who were experiencing fatigue or injury. The Hostels where we had overnight stays were good , hot showers and welcome food and drink . A great diverse group that all brought their individual stories to the journey . A big thank you Charles . I hope we meet again. Go Well Tom Griffin . Namaste

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ **An adventure I will never forget** We had the most amazing leaders for this adventure, **Chucky & Pete**\. From the very beginning, I felt completely safe in their hands\. Their knowledge, experience, encouragement and enthusiasm were incredible, and they somehow managed to keep us going even when we were questioning our life choices\! 😂 I also met the most amazing group of people — 10 wonderful strangers who very quickly became a team (with person number 11 being my best friend, who came along with me)\. The camaraderie, encouragement, uplifting spirit and genuine care we showed for each other was something really special\. Everyone looked out for everyone, and that made such a difference\. Now for the honest bit… **this adventure is not easy\!** There will probably be a point — possibly every night\! — when you’ll wonder why on earth you ever signed up, question your sanity and think you’d quite happily go home\. 😂 And yes, there were definitely moments when I wondered what I had done\! But stick with it\. **It is SO worth it\.** The sense of pride I feel in myself now is huge\. I discovered strength in myself that I honestly didn’t know I had, pushed myself further than I thought possible and experienced a peacefulness that is difficult to put into words\. I can honestly say I had **the best of times and the worst of times**, sometimes within the same day\! But I’ve come away from this adventure with something incredibly special — an overwhelming feeling of happiness, calm, achievement and gratitude\. The memories, the people, the challenges, the laughter and the peaceful moments will stay with me forever\. **Would I do it again? Ask me after my muscles have forgiven me\! 😂❤️** But for now… **absolutely 5 stars\. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐**

We had a lovely time, though my wife found it quite difficult. For those who are looking at this trip, be aware that day one is hiking straight up, then day two was nearly straight down back to Randa due to trail closure going from Europahutte to Taschalp hut. We walked down to a camp ground between Randa and Tasch then took a taxi up to Taschalp. The next 2 days were as advertised and the scenery throughout was amazingly beautiful. We did get warm weather for 3 days and rain the last day, so the Matterhorn and other high peaks were covered by clouds, which is expected with that type of weather. Most wonderful was Laurence, our guide. She was so kind and helpful, encouraging and energetic. She really made the trip enjoyable for everyone. Loved her and would hike anywhere with her as a guide.

Wonderful 4 days with stunning scenery with a beautiful group of people. Our guide Laurence was warm, professional, patient and so much fun. I would love to do another trip with her and this group! The quality of the huts and food were fantastic. I do think that skyhook should update the itinerary for day 2 to make it clear that you are not able to walk that route and a taxi is taken due to a landslide as we did not expect this and my understanding is that this has been the situation for many months. Otherwise, a brilliant experience from start to finish.

This is an excellent trip- we did some spectacular walking on the TMB route, refuges were great and the organisation was spot on. Our guide, Mark, was outstanding. He ensured everyone walked together at a pace that suited everyone, with enough rest breaks and stops at points of interest- plus he has plenty of anecdotes to keep you entertained! We were lucky with our group in that everyone got along very well and was of similar fitness level. All in all a fantastic trip. The only thing that could have been improved on was that we had to request more detail of the September route prior to starting the trip (distances, elevations, refuges etc). Given it is all planned well in advance it would have been nice to have the same level of detail on the trip page as there is for the main route.

Organising the logistics for such a trip is not easy, balancing transport needs, accomodating the group when Fort William is fully booked many months ahead, and most importantly, the guides role in managing expectations in terms of ability for a group of walkers of unknown ability. Mountineerin Ltd did an excellent job particularly in the first two, but I'd strongly recommend to rebrand the challenge as a "weekend back to back 3 peak challenge" and eliminate the artificial time element that depends heavily on how quickly you drive between the mountains. The alternative is to preselect participants, perhaps on experience of running 10k or half-marathon, which reflects the level of effort and fitness required to meet the 24h challenge. As a team, we were able to meet the 24h timeframe, but it would have been more enjoyable (and more inclusive) for everyone to take it a little slower... Rather than expect the guide to have to tell someone they were not fit enough, or were slowing down the group. There's always scope for improvement, but overall I've given 5stars because the logistics were so smooth.... The guide did a really good job at setting expectations and setting pace.. and we got to the bottom of the 3rd mountain approx 24hrs after starting climbing the 1st mountain...

This was such a fantastic trip from the airport pick up to drop off, this was really fantastic. The young lady Sini was a phenomenal host, she made the whole experience just fantastic, explaining exactly how to manage the kayak, she made us feel completely safe on the water at all times, she installed confidence, her appreciation for nature and the genuine love of her job, and her professional manor and ability to blend into the group also, I couldn't praise her enough, and the food oh my goodness the food was amazing such fantastic meals every time. This lady is a credit to Nordic paddling but also to Skyhook. The accommodation was in such a stunning setting so clean and comfortable, the sauna experience was fantastic. It's honestly also the best value trip, the peace of not having to worry about additional spending apart from tips was great and your day in the town if you're staying on. This trip was such a fantastic introduction to kayaking. Highest praise for Sini and Nordic paddling. By far my favourite trip with skyhook so far.

I was a solo female traveler, joined a nother couple on the trip, it was a Fantastic trip , well organised, the lodge at Imlil was comfortable and clean , wonderful views of the mountains, we had a great guide Lahouceine, he was good at managing the Pace for the climb , lucky I didn’t get altitude sickness, the climb is rough going but manageable, and worth the views at the top, stunning. base camp is basic but clean , we were on low season and were early so I didn’t need to wait for the shower, beware the gray cat it looks friendly but will bite you if you don’t have food, everyone was friendly welcoming and the food was really good , you won’t go hungry, and you can by water on way up and at base camp, An amazing few days if a little sore at the end well worth it

You could say I went into this with my eyes closed and left with them wide open. I didn't read all the reviews and the expectation of the trip, and wanted to do something a little different this year and saw this. Never canoeing or wild camped (my last camping experience was at 13 with school). My fitness level is medium, having been doing some strength gym work for a few months prior to the trip (I recommend to do this as there is a lot of heavy carrying if you are not physically used to this). Our leaders were Matty and Dave, experienced people in there field and are there to keep you safe and take you through the experience. They were on hand to guide you through how to put up a tent, where the toilet facilities are (remember you are wild camping and the facilities are the wild 😉) and they cook for you too. Everyone pitched in to clean the dishes and collect firewood for the fire. I laughed, cried, cursed (often) and saw the most spectacular scenery I have seen to date. Being an avid phone user scrolling through endless social media pages, I found myself only having my phone to take photos, being present and not really thinking of anything apart from watching the paddle go through the water. I thought my hilight would be Loch Ness however Loch Lochy was stunning in every way. On the 2nd morning when waking up, it was so still with the sun rising in front of us, it was like a mill pond (if you wild swim, take your cossie with you and have a dip, it will be worth it!!) I was with a great group of people, who made the trip a great one! Being a solo traveller, it gives you the opportunity to meet new people and they got me through this having wanted to quit after day 2. Its hard graft, I'm not gonna lie but upon reflection, this was out of my comfort zone, I love the water but never done anything like this before and so glad I stayed. The Pro's: 🏴 Scotland - In all its glory 🫂 People - They were the best group 🛶 canoeing - Mindfulness, you won't regret it. 🥙 Food - plentiful and delicious 🍫 Snacks - The snack barrel is fab!! 🏕 Wild Camping - Its not for me but a great experience 📖 Information - Skyhook Adventure will send you what you need for the trip (Make sure you have a good waterproof set, and a small flask if you want a hot drink on the go). 📷 Photos - Memories that will last a lifetime 💪🏼 Fitness - Its challenging if you are not physically active but so worth it! ☀️ Mother Nature - Be prepared to get wet. The Cons: 💩 Toilet facilities - I did it but not for me! 🦟 Midges and ticks - They are relentless, make sure you get the smidge net for your head and repellent. I would definitely recommend this trip 👌🏽 with Skyhook Adventures. I have lots of photos, videos and memories for this trip and added a few to the review. 🛶 Happy canoeing 🛶

Brilliant experience climbing Mount Olympus! The kit list was spot on, communication was excellent, and our guide was fantastic — knowledgeable, encouraging and patient! 😂 This hike isn’t for the faint hearted. Plenty of general training and long walks to prepare, really helped to ensure the appropriate level of cardio fitness to make the walk challenging but achievable. A really well-organised trip from start to finish. Highly recommend and looking forward to booking further adventures!

Where do we start, Elin (Smellin) our guide was lovely, down to earth and through out the trip nothing was too much trouble, she was knowledgeable about best places to camp and an over night stop at the pub barge was entertaining ! The kit was awesome, tents really easy to erect and air mattress was comfortable, food was fresh and meals were flavoursome ! Trip was made by the others on it, an instant bond over sarcasm and conversation made the five days a pleasure ! Would have preferred more guidance on packing from the start, wasn’t really clear but if you fancy it just chuck all your kit into a couple of bags and be prepared to repack on the morning of your trip into a waterproof canoe bag ! Smidge is a must as is the head net they really don’t give up till they have eaten you lol If it’s stunning scenery and a mild challenge you want this trip will tick those boxes sadly, till you get there you won’t know the others but if your lucky like us it will be a blast !

The Canoe across Scotland trip was amazing. Geoff Potts was an fabulous guide with many years of experience. The kit provided and the packing list was spot on and very helpful. We were challenged with wind, rain, tides and midges. Geoff not only taught us the basic techniques for canoeing but we also learnt how to be safe in various conditions along the way. We tied canoes together and learnt to sail when the wind was with us and we dug deep and paddled hard when the wind was against us. The food was great and we even had Haggis. This trip is not for the faint hearted and it is hard work but the reward of getting to the end of Loch Ness is fabulous. You just need a bit of determination and good camaraderie among the group to help each other along. The scenery and the spots for the wild camping were amazing. Thank you for amazing memories and a great adventure.

This was an absolutely amazing trip and I would highly recommend it. Be prepared to work hard, but it is just so rewarding. Our guide, Geoff, was outstanding and really made it an adventure for everyone. The food was excellent and the equipment provided was first class. I can't think of a better way to really experience the Scottish nature than five days travelling across the Lochs in canoes. The average age of our group was around 50, so don't be put off thinking you can't do it. Geoff, we'd like to thank you for making this such a special journey. We can't wait to start canoeing once we get back to Australia.

I would absolutely recommend this trip to anyone looking to do something a bit different or wanting a unique experience. It was the first time I'd ever done anything like this, and Nordic Paddling were absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Our guide, Jasper, was incredibly knowledgeable, clearly passionate about what he does, and very patient with the whole group. He always took the time to explain the plans and itinerary, and when severe winds meant things had to change, he worked hard to keep the trip enjoyable and interesting despite the changes. The kayaking and hike were all done at a sensible pace, which was great for me as I was quite nervous about my fitness levels and whether I'd be able to keep up. The trip felt challenging enough to be rewarding, but never overwhelming. I also had a bit of a nightmare after losing my passport. The team went above and beyond to help me sort out the delivery of an emergency passport, which took a huge amount of stress off my shoulders. All in all, it was a fantastic experience. The combination of an experienced guide, a well-organised trip and a genuinely supportive team made it something I'll remember for a long time. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this with Nordic Paddling to others.

Our wonderful canoeing adventure along the 97km of the Caledonian Canal and through 4 lochs, including the immensely deep Loch Ness, with the professional guide Geoff and trainees Toby and Matt, was an amazing experience that I'll never forget! We stopped for breaks at the side of lochs with stunning views viewed by few others, with Geoff making us feel safe and supplied magnificently with hot drinks and snacks. Each evening, Geoff knowledgeably guided us to set up camp and a camp fires in the best places and swiftly cooked us a healthy, hearty, fresh meal. All 11 of us got on so well and created a bond full of banter, care and friendship, with the 3 guides helping us all, became profficient paddlers! I would highly recommend this trip. You have to be willing to paddle for hours, put up and put down a tent each night independently, for wild camping, learn to live without a plug or even a toilet at times, and contribute to all aspects of your adventure but it really is worth it! You will be rewarded with an exhilarating adventure and new friends! Do it!

This was a fantastic experience. Day 1 met by Geoff our guide to sort through our kit & meet the other paddlers. Complete mixed group with some experience & complete novices. Boats unloaded & onto the top of Neptunes staircase to begin. Geoff didnt overload us with instruction, when we needed to be told what to do we were told...no confusion there. Off we go, our abilities were assessed & we got to know our boats & everyone else in the group. The sun was shining the weather forecast was good & we must have been like a gaggle of geese heading up the canal for anybody else on the water or the bank. This was the start of an amazing week we paddled, we laughed, we had lunch, we laughed, we wild camped, we laughed, we did portage, we laughed, we sailed our canoes & guess what we laughed. As the week went on our ability grew, we became slick at portage & camp was erected & struck with ease. Through the week the sky were massive & the Glen was stunning when seen from low down on the water. Eagles & Osprey flew overhead & fishes swam below you. At night the stars shone, milky way was milky & we saw the Starlink sky train on twice. Portage was a necessary, but horrible, part of the week but by working together they soon became just another opportunity to build the team & have a laugh. All to soon the team were at Inverness & the boats & kit were loaded into the transport for our return back to Banavie, our start point. Driving along roads that ran followed our route there was a constant stream of reminiscing & story telling then the end & you are walking away from your new friends having paddled across Scotland & achieved something you can talk about for the rest of your life. Excellent trip well organised & led by Geoff made all the better by the good weather & Barry being off his work.

What a great trip. Took my grown up kids and had a blast. The kayaking was challenging - because of the weather conditions and the fact I had never done it before…but we were well coached. The hike was fantastic. Had so much fun. It wasn’t super easy and challenge me more than some of the group…but then why book a trip that’s easy? Our guide was phenomenal. Hats off to Gina-Luca…what a star. Informative, caring and good fun…he really added to our experience. His cooking was fabulous (and we weren’t easy as we had a coeliac and a vegan in our party). Everything was thought through. No hungry kids. Totally recommend this trip, and especially recommend Gian-Luca. Thank you for making it such a special trip. Will be checking out your other trips for our holiday next year. Thank you. Mx

Amazing Alpine Adventure! My sister and I had a brilliant 4 days on this TMB highlights trip…definitely one for the memories. Our guide Sabrina (Sab) was such good fun and took excellent care of us especially on a super challenging (and super rainy) Day 2. Malou (trainee guide) joined us for Day 3 and 4 and was a lovely addition. Our group of 14 was a nice mix of solo travellers and family/friends across a wide range of ages (from late teens to early 70s) and were great company. Stunning views (even on our rainy day) and some special experiences like our lunch at Bovine. The FAQs and information before the trip managed our expectations well about the accommodation, food and facilities (the sweet/sugary breakfasts were the only surprise). Light IS right when it comes to packing. Physically challenging and not for the faint hearted. Delighted to have done it.

Kieran did an A1 job, he was our guide for the trip, othong phased him, didn't micro-manage and let people learn, and in the end, everyone was on each task and working together really well ... it was great and a very welcomed, and needed, learning experience for me, personally ... It's a hard - long paddle, be prepared to lift, push and shift equipment, dont be fooled, iys a graft sometimes, eat heartily and dont take too much stuff! Do take paddling gloves, a wide brim hat for sum and rain & to pull a midge nett over in the evening, and take a bottle of Avon's Skin So Soft as a midge repellent. It is off grid self-sustained wild camping in beautiful scenery, rough n ready, make fires, pee in the woods. Kieran cooked brekkie and eve meals, all excellent! Salad cream in the lunchtime wraps was an added bonus half way through, thanks for getting that dude! My pee bottle for in the tent at night was a great luxury item for me, (I'm old!) NO getting out the tent once in bed 😎😊. Neoprene socks and water shoes worked well in the day and Cross at night ... you dont need any other footwear. All in all, an unforgettable, rewarding experience with ups & downs ... 100% glad I did it, thanks Chucky, Matty & Kieran, will keep in touch!

I’ve just completed the canoe and wild camping trip with Skyhook from Loch Ness to Fort William, and honestly, it was excellent! I went with a friend, but we went with the intention of having our own individual adventure. We ended up with six other great people on the trip, all different ages and from different backgrounds, but somehow we were the perfect group. It really made the experience even better. I’m not going to lie — the canoeing was hard! Especially when the rain came down and the wind picked up. But our guide, Kieran, was absolutely brilliant. He was informative, encouraging and always there with the right words when things got tough. There were definitely times when you had to dig deep, but the encouragement from everyone meant you kept going and worked hard to complete it. I hadn’t camped since I was a kid and, if I’m honest, I was dreading that part. But I actually loved it! We put up and took down our tents every day, and sleeping in them was surprisingly comfortable. Skyhook supplied the tent and ground mat, so all you need to bring is your sleeping bag. Kieran our guide cooked our breakfast and Dinner which was enjoyed by all. Lunch we put sandwiches together and had snacks available throughout the trip. Now for the reality of wild camping… the worst part was definitely going to the toilet in the woods! 😂 But you get to a stage where you genuinely just stop caring. If you need to go, you need to go! And yes, you will smell — but so will everyone else, so nobody cares! 😂 It was challenging, tiring, sometimes wet and windy, but also such a rewarding experience. You finish feeling genuinely proud of yourself for what you’ve achieved. I’d absolutely recommend this trip to anyone looking for a challenge, incredible scenery and a proper adventure. We went expecting to have our own trip, but came away having shared an amazing experience with a fantastic group of people. A massive thank you to Kieran for being such a brilliant guide, and to Skyhook for an unforgettable adventure! 🛶⛺️🏴

This was such an amazing trip! The St Anna Archipelago is just stunning and you should definitely spend some time there. What made this trip even better was the thoughtful preparation, organisation and guidance of Thomas (co founder of 'do the North') and Eva Mackova. And if you then add a group of people who know what they have let themselves into and enjoy a sunset just as much as a torrential (but short) rainfall, then you are in for a fabulous time!!!

This holiday is exactly what it says on the tin — so don’t overthink it! Come as physically prepared as you can, but ultimately, it’s just as much a mental challenge. You’ll get tired, you’ll get wet, you’ll probably question your life choices at least once… but you’ll also get the most incredible scenery and an amazing sense of achievement at the end. My biggest piece of advice: don’t overpack! Whatever you put on your back has to be carried with you over the locks and into the boats, so less really is more. I absolutely loved every bit of it. My body definitely felt battered by the end, but if I could guarantee the same group and have Kieran leading us again, I’d do it all over tomorrow. Hats off to Kieran as a leader. He’s caring, enthusiastic and gives you the freedom to take some ownership of how you approach the week, while always keeping safety and fun at the forefront. He had to deal with a puncture within the first hour and a difficult situation with one of our group members, but he went above and beyond to support them while still managing to rally the rest of us and keep morale high. Somehow, despite everything, our group still looked like we were having the most fun! He consistently encouraged us to look out for each other, while also making sure we stopped to appreciate just how far we’d come. He somehow managed to keep eight increasingly tired people paddling in roughly the same direction, looking out for each other and, most importantly, still having fun. Be prepared to let your guard down, get stuck in, embrace the chaos and get involved — you’ll love it

Overall, I would not recommend Skyhook, nor would I say that this trip was particularly well run. The guide, Kevin, was good, but there were a few areas that could be improved. Firstly, the communication leading up to the trip was very poor. We were added to a WhatsApp group only a few hours before we were due to be picked up, where we were informed of a 90-minute delay (which was unavoidable). The itinerary does not accurately reflect all aspects of the 24-hour challenge. For example, there is a stop between the first and second peaks where hot food is available, which would have been useful to know in advance. Considering the price of the trip, I believe water should have been provided. I have never experienced a situation where water was not supplied, even in much more remote locations. In my experience, organised tour companies will generally provide water as a basic necessity. There is also no contingency plan for participants who were unable to complete the challenge at the required pace. We significantly exceeded the 24-hour timeframe because two people in our group were not able to continue at the expected speed. There should have been a second guide available to help manage situations such as this and minimise the impact on the rest of the group.

I loved the whole experience: all the kayaking, camping, the food was amazing, the hiking… Jasper even took a couple of us on a trail run up a mountain on an afternoon (after we hiked Pulpit rock) which was my favourite bit, if a bit exhausting! Both our guides were really supportive and encouraging, especially during Day 2 which I found the most challenging among 4 days. Got to see Mont Blanc from different sides and angles, all were spectacular. It's astonishing how much we got to explore in such short period of time. The refugios are what you expect in mountains, homely and comfortable, nothing flashy. I would definitely recommend Alps Adventures!

Great trip, well organised. Went as a solo 64 yr old, had a mixed bag of people, food was basic but good enough to keep you fuelled for the long days canoeing. Guides were great, involved everyone, they were always there to raise moral and look out for all. Dont be put off by camping/food or loos, truthfully you just get on with it like everyone else. NB: those who had dietary or other requirements were well taken care of.

Exhausting but fabulous trip with a great bunch of people. Guides (Ellie and Geoff) were fantastic and great fun plus the scenery was incredible. The only downside was midgies - oh and the crap mugs! Honestly Chuckie, what were you thinking?

Me and my husband had a great time, there was a mix of couples and solo travellers in our group and we all got on great and mucked in together. The guides Chucky, Kieran and Monty were great - so knowledgeable, supportive and encouraging with a perfect balance of chilled and alert for watching over and leading us. I definitely recommend this.

A real adventure! Our excellent guides Geoff and Elin provided everything we needed: kit, expertise, humour and confidence. At the end of five days on the water we'd taken in beautiful scenery, admired the wildlife and achieved a satisfying conclusion with our arrival at the end of Loch Ness. The provided kit was excellent, all in good order. Good tents, new canoes, new roll mats. All the meals were brought in barrels on the canoes. The snack barrel was most popular with fruit, nuts, crisps and mini chocolate biscuits. The camps were wildcamps but we never had to dig a hole. A mixture of a drop toilet, portaloo, toilet tent, or the excellent canal boater facility flushing toilets and showers too. Relaxation was possible at two or three pubs on the route for a pint or an extra snack. Food was plentiful. Lunch was diy sandwich with a good selecting of fillings and sauces. Evening meals were cooked by the guides, basic but filling with all diets catered for. A couple of cooked breakfasts too. We had our chores to do in the camp. We all took a turn washing up and setting up the kelly kettle for hot drinks (coffee, tea, decaf or squash). The main activity of canoeing was taxing. Sometimes the wind helped with canoe sails. The guides kept us all safe and entertained pointing out the local sights while we regrouped to allow all levels of canoeing to travel together. At the locks, the canoes had to be emptied and carried to the other side of the lock. Everyone worked as a team to move all the equipment. Some were short hoops but a couple of long ones too 800m and 1km. The canoe trolleys were needed for those. The whole trip was amazing. Yes, we were eaten alive by midges in the camps but out on the water we were enjoying Scotland's iconic scenery. All excellent value for money. Thoroughly recommended.

The hike was amazing. Claudio was a first class guide and I always felt looked after. The scenery is varied and beautiful and the hiking is challenging but in a positive way. I’ve previously completed Matterhorn highlights and Tour du Mont Blanc highlights and loved them both but this is my favourite so far. We had a great group too-lots of laughs and amazing memories.

Gran Paradiso Circuit Trek with Claudio was a big fat 5★! And big shout out to Claudio an amazing person and he was an incredible tour guide for the Gran Paradiso circuit. His knowledge of the trails, mountains, and local history was amazing . We learned something new every day. But what really made the trek special was his Italian sense of humor. Long uphill days flew by with his jokes and stories, and he always knew exactly when we needed encouragement or a snack break. And what amazes me the most was , he had great experiences of weather forecast and he can read the clouds and plan the trip likewise. We were just on time at Refuge before the heavy rain and storm hit during the trips and we were enjoying the beer already at the hut safe and sound! He took great care of the group, kept us safe, and made sure everyone finished with a smile and unforgettable memories. If you get Claudio as your guide, you’re in for the best version of the Gran Paradiso circuit. Highly recommend! And everyone in the group already missing him a lot.

I could have been happy with just the Ngorongoro park tour. It was the most impressive and we saw the most variety of animals there as well. Lots of elephants at Tarangire which was also pretty spectacular. Overall it was quite a lot of sitting and driving but I suppose that's just what a car safari is like. I wouldn't do it again personally but my family was more impressed than I was I think.

The national parks and wildlife are spectacular and we saw many animals. However, our safari trip was not well organized nor was there adequate communication with us prior to our trip about details of timing, room bookings and our request for a room for our final night was forgotten until hours before we needed it. Our driver was competent at driving and finding animals but provided very minimal descriptions about the animals and did not communicate our itinerary day by day.

Before I booked my trip, I wasn’t really sure how will it go as I didn’t know anyone who had an experience with Skyhook, just took a chance and read the reviews and that’s all! Super organize trip! Our tour Guide Charles was amazing! It was like a retreat. Our meditation, stretching, debriefing gave me more motivation and encouragement to keep going ! It was a tough hike esp for the ones like me, that never done a hike!! It was a beautiful scenic routes, unforgettable experience! , mountains and mountains and alpine lakes . WOW!! I thought , it was lovely gesture from Tom to meet us towards the end of our adventure! I was glad that he gave a lift to one of our injured teammates to the accommodation. Absolutely fantastic trip! The whole experience exceeded expectations at every turn. This was definitely down to our superb guide Netta! Netta was very attentive, a fantastic tour guide on the Fjords, and also a great chef back at the campsite! She worked tirelessly to look after the group and we are all leaving Norway with lovely memories. As for the kayaking and hiking, the Norwegian scenery is breathtaking and a perfect setting for outdoor activities!
