Paddy Morris was a brilliant guide and the group were great. The trip was tough but rewarded with glorious scenery and views. Details of ascent etc in programme not quite the same as reality and sadly no lake swimming. Overall great trip.

What an incredible experience! I just completed the Salkantay Trek (Sep 1-8, 2022) with an amazing group of people, including our fantastic guides Saul G. and Gregorio M. I can’t say enough about how awesome the experience was. Sure some parts were physically challenging (but I expected them to be) but the entire experience was so well planned and executed. The Alpaca Expeditions staff (especially Saul G. and Gregorio M.) were extremely knowledgeable, professional, caring, and fun. They were careful to explain each day’s itinerary, emphasized safety, answered all of our questions, and accommodated our individual needs. They were kind and fun and it is obvious they are passionate about their jobs. I also want to give a special shout-out to Chef Walter and his team (Gourmet meals at the foot of Salkantay Pass? Hot coca tea and a warm breakfast at the beginning of each day? Why, yes and yes.) Julio and his porters (the true “green machines” and iron men) were also awe-inspiring. I had a light day pack and struggled on some parts of the trail and the porters carried enormous loads and ran past us!! I can’t recommend Skyhook Adventure and Alpaca Expeditions enough and will encourage anyone who wants to trek in Peru to check them out. They are truly an outstanding company!

It was amazing. Scenery was stunning. The organisation and the guide were great. Just right the mix of wild camping with the occassional trip to civilisation to get some essentials. Would thoroughly recommend for any first time kayakers.

Our guide Dan was so friendly and shaped the trip depending on what we fancied doing- including a night paddle which was amazing! The whole trip felt super relaxed and not rushed at all.

This trip was fantastic! Beautiful scenery and we had a fantastic guide who kept us safe and had good knowledge of the area and kayaking in general! I can highly recommend this trip if you love the outdoors and being part of a team.
The only request that I would make is to be given more guidance on how to travel to the start of the trip. Organising travel to and from Norway was tricky and it took a lot longer than I would have liked. Thank you for a fantastic experience overall

Our Team Leader, Paul Spackman, was fantastic throughout the walk, a truly inspirational man, who provided great motivation. Paul’s story of his Everest ascent had me captivated and it has renewed my ambition to climb Kilimanjaro.

It is hard to find the words to describe the wonder of this trip, it was incredible for mind, body and soul. Paul was an amazing guide, he is so knowledgeable about the route and his experience is awesome. He was a great leader and inspired confidence in us all. Every day was different and the mountains were so beautiful. This was the first time doing a tour with Skyhook and we were a little nervous of doing the tour, worried about how we get on with the others on the trek etc. However our group made a great team and of course we all got on as we were all like-minded people. The others were fabulous and we had many laughs together along the way. Such a pleasure to be part it.

The trip was excellent in every way. Lea was the perfect host /guide. She was knowledgeable, funny, relaxed, organised, supportive. We couldn’t have asked for me from her. The alpine walks were lovely with great views along the trail around Mont Blanc. All the refuges were clean and well presented with good accommodation in dormitory rooms and nice food. Our group was great - lots of similar outdoors, fun loving people wanting a short break somewhere different. As a fist timer to sky hook and alps adventures we couldn’t have had a better experience.

Couldn't recommend this more highly to anyone. The walks are challenging but doable with an emphasis on doing what you feel comfortable (although having a base level of fitness if helpful). The views are absolutely spectacular and I still cannot quote fathom the utter beauty of the places we walked. A absolute massive thanks to our wonderful guide, Lea who has a fabulous personality and fantastic knowledge. It's a trip I would highly recommend, with all details taken care of so the only though required is getting to Geneva/Chamonix (and the FAQs really help).
It was truly an unforgettable trip, the only problem is deciding where to choose next.

Fabulous trip, in a beautiful area, even for for beginners. Our guide Mel (Land & Wave) couldn't have been better & as there were only 2 of us, everything was fitted around us. He was knowledgeable on the local area, tides & conditions etc to make the paddling trips really enjoyable even though we had little previous experience. The tents & camp set up were very good but, not being a seasoned camper, the campsite facilities were slightly more basic than I had expected. We would definitely recommend & are already looking for our next adventure.

The only change we may recommend is to not use the hut on the second day. The hut had poor cleanliness and just one toilet for 24 people. The tour was fantastic we loved the hike. Firstly, I could not fault the trip leaders, Lizzy was very knowledgeable and did her best to support and help at all times. Lee was always there to help, and Cam was lovely. The trip overall was fantastic, with amazing views and great camp spots. It helped that we had a fantastic crew. We also had the weather on our side most of the trip. Rain and worse winds would have changed outcomes. Things to improve upon would be the following: the trip is not for beginners. I have never been canoeing before and it was tough. When canoeing over Loch Ness conditions were windy and it was not somewhere for inexperienced people. As mentioned above, Lizzy was excellent, but it wasn't the best situation. The trip does require a degree of fitness, I class myself as pretty fit undertaking regular trail runs and other sports. At times I struggled so just to point out it does require fitness. When I got my tent it was damp, it smelt terrible and hardly had any tent pegs. I was not on my own with this issue but we cleaned our tents out the best we could and used them. It worked out, but if the wind had been any worse we wouldn't have had enough pegs. It would be better if they were checked before each trip. The food was adequate, but it could be improved upon with organisation as reaching into a large blue tub for whatever was left over didn't really work very well. Possibly pre-packed lunch could have worked and one pots for tea such as stew. Finally, just to say that you get given one large waterproof bag and two smaller ones to put in your canoe. The large bag fits whatever you have brought plus your tent. The smaller bags are for whatever you might need in the day. This was not made very clear to us before we went on the trip so just thought I would mention it. Despite all of the above, the trip was still fantastic and I am really pleased I had the opportunity to experience it.

It was good , but I do think u need some experience due to unpredictable weather conditions & a good level of fitness and stamina is needed. Think the tents need drying before the next trip as they weren’t ! And better planning for food and meals .

The trip was great and the views were stunning. The guides Lizzie and Lee were fantastic, so knowledgeable and made the trip brilliant. We were mostly lucky with the weather, it only affected us on one day which made crossing Loch Ness difficult but Lizzie had a plan so we could still enjoy the day.
The group was also great, lots of laughs were had. I was very sad to finish the trip and have to return home.

The Yorkshire 3 peaks was excellent. It was much more physically challenging than I thought it would be. In total we did 40km with ascent. It would be great training for a bigger trip but was also very enjoyable on it's own. The guide, Rob, was superb - really good company, informative and set a good pace. He knew plenty about the local wildlife and eco-climate which I thought was very interesting and made the day more exciting.

My 4th trip with Louise and Tom's Alp Adventures! I wanted something a bit gentler ahead of a higher summit in September so this was a perfect pace and beautiful scenery. Absolute delight to see Zermatt in summer when you have skied it in winter too.

The guide and drivers were good and all went to plan in terms of the itinerary. The problem was that we were a large group of 11 of mixed ability with just one guide. This meant that those who couldn't keep to the 24h pace were sent back to the bus on each climb. Had there been two guides, the slower group could have continued at a slower pace but not summited so as not to jeopardise the challenge for the faster participants. Instead myself and nearly half the group spent the vast majority of the time on the bus - which really ruined the experience unnecessarily. I don't feel that Skyhook made it clear enough the level of fitness and experience required, this challenge isn't for people of average fitness. It would have been better to complete a fitness questionnaire and then be pushed towards an easier/longer challenge, rather than unknowingly sign up for something unachievable and therefore have a negative experience.

Absolutely incredible trip! Our guides Sam and Geoff from Good2Go were highly knowledgeable, dependable, experienced and professional plus, most importantly, great company. They gave us exceptional guidance, info and support at all stages of the trip, from the tranquil canal to tackling the wind on the open water of Loch Ness. Wild camping sites were expertly chosen for great views and secluded spots. Food was delicious: the menu had been carefully planned and there was always more than enough to satisfy hearty canoeing appetites. Can't recommend Sam and Geoff enough and the Good2Go team!

What a trip! What an adventure! Right from the start, Sam and Geoff, our instructors, were reassuring, friendly and filled us with huge confidence that we could do the trip. The wild camping and lunch spots were so well selected, and the group dynamics was excellent - we really did become a canoe family very quickly! The company in charge of us, Good to Go, was so good, especially the day before, when one of our group landed in Glasgow minus her case. Chucky couldn't have been more helpful. I highly recommend this trip - it is challenging and inspiring.

A truly magical experience from start to finish all thanks to our knowledgeable guide, Mads. Our needs were immediately attended to as we arrived at the beautiful cabin on day 1. We were met with a hot brew, a lovely meal and the trip itinerary which was expertly explained by Mads. Kayaking around the Lysefjord was truly breath taking ! We saw seals and with Mads calm and professional guidance I had a fantastic paddling trip. I felt very safe at all times as all the safety techniques and paddle manoeuvres were skilfully demonstrated by our very patient guide. We also learnt a lot about the fjord and how it was made from the glaciers in the ice ages ! The night paddling was an extra bonus and an exhilarating experience. We got to see plankton which made the sea sparkle like stars. Our hike up Pulpit Rock gave the most spectacular views of the fjord from above (over 600 metres from memory) and it was most definitely one of my highlights. Great if you love your hiking ! It was a challenging, stunning, out of this world and special experience all in one ! The final day saw us return to the paddles to see this cliff otherwise known as the "Preachers chair" from below. We also kayaked through the coves along the way. I highly recommend this trip. I have made some lifelong friends, our guide was truly amazing and I am so glad I chose this trip, thanks guys +++++

The Porters, John, Frank and Everest did everything in their power to make us comfortable from coffee served to our tent and buckets of warm water to wash up. Because of their support, all four of my hiking mates were able to successfully summit Kili.. The food was excellent and I was never hungry, in fact I didn't need the extra snacks that I brought. I feel blessed to have met some incredible hiking mates and new friends. This trip could not have been better!

A great 4 day Mont Blanc experience. Spectacular scenery as you walk your way from cabin to cabin, with the days varying from walking on open paths, walking through and up above the tree line and along streams with the sound of cow bells.
Make sure you don't under estimate the toughness of the walks - there are a lot of ups, but once up you forget the aching legs, tight calves and enjoy the post walk ambiance of the cabins and group chatter. Cabins very comfortable - each unique and in beautiful settings.
Our guide Ben was very professional throughout. Providing information about what to expect for the walks ahead, and giving some local insight into the views and natural landscapes. He also joined us in the evenings, sharing stories and laughter over drinks and ensured the cohesiveness of the group.
Would defo recommend this trip - to make it more enjoyable for you, make sure you do some training and get out in the hills before going to Mont Blanc.

This was the most amazing experience however it was far far harder than described or anticipated!
I consider myself to be fit and trek lots but this was something else!

The sleeping arrangements were cosy.
Regardless of the determination needed to complete the 4 day walk - the sense of accomplishment on day 4 was second to none!

Excellent trip, my second with Skyhook. Trek is quite a bit harder than the website description, with two people dropping out over the course of the four days. Long, hard climbs, rewarded with spectacular views and great sense of achievement.
Accommodation on nights 2 and 3 were excellent, with comfortable bunkbeds and 6 or 8 people to a room. However accommodation on night 1 was below par, with 19 people in one room (not necessarily a problem) but the beds are all lined up immediately adjacent each other with no gap between, so you are literally laying between two other people (who could quite easily be strangers). Only way out of bed was at the foot of the bed. Photos can be seen on trip advisor to get the idea. Bed linen is also NOT washed between guests so make sure you don't forget your sleeping bag liner!
Food at all three accommodations was delicious and plentiful.
If not for the bed arrangements on the first night this would be a 5 star review. It does say dormitory style accommodation on the trip description which I was ready for, however I wasn't prepared for such a "cosy" arrangement on the first night.

The trip was outstanding and the guide Ben who works for Alps Adventures was superb. He demonstrated vast and interesting knowledge of the area which only comes living and working there. He was smart funny and engaging and at all times you felt safe. He spent time getting to know and walk with different individuals and the group came together well. The routes whilst challenging were breathtakingly beautiful and words cannot describe the amazing sights. Without a doubt you need to have an above average level of fitness and it is worthwhile training prior to coming on the trip as the altitude along with the climbs can be tiring. It was a trip of a lifetime and one along with my friends we will never forget. Thank you.

Well that was epic!
I have to say, I didn't think it was gonna be as tough, but really enjoyed it. Ben (our guide) was cool, dead knowledgeable, professional but also good company. The accommodation was basic but clean, and food was good, just what we needed. We were also pretty lucky and had perfect conditions for our tour. A few bits of advice. Pack light, honestly! Get yourself fit, with lots of uphill practice, it'll serve you well. And take some tiger balm.

I had an amazing time on this tour. The Norwegian fjords are just unbelievably beautiful - especially the views on the hike - and the whole trip felt like it was a complete escape from the real world. The tour itself was super well planned and organised, and we fit in a lot during the 3 days. Our guide Sebastian was absolutely great - super friendly, looked after us all very well, and made the trip a lot of fun.
And for anyone who hasn't done this sort of thing before and is a bit nervous about booking, I'd highly recommend - it felt like a real adventure, and as a kayaking newbie it felt like the perfect tour for both beginners and more experienced people.

The trip was just excellent. It was a good balance between seeing the good sights to see whilst also being quite challenging. Really great guide Sebastian who made us all feel comfortable and was very knowledgable. Would really recommend it. Plus the food at camp was amazing!

Fantastic 5 days exploring the Great Glen Way. As a complete canoeing novice, this trip was manageable but also challenging at times. The guides Grant & Kev were great, the food was all delicious and the days planned out well - I would highly recommend Beyond Adventure.

The expedition was brilliant. Our guide, Grant was excellent and made the holiday. He was very well qualified, patient, never showed any stress, a good chef, knowledgable about the history, and if anything was to go wrong I would be confident that he would be able to deal with it. Kevin his assistant was also great. The trip itself was memorable for many reasons and I would recommend. It can be physically hard work at times so being fit helps get the most out of the holiday. The trip size was also appropriate with 7 (planned with 8). Any more would have felt crowded.

I joined as a solo traveler and absolutely loved it. The organisation that runs the trip (beyond adventure) we’re very good. Clear instructions and communication before it started; the guides were absolutely fantastic both on and off the water. Felt safe, looked after and entertained. The food was better than I cook at home and was plentiful. The group of 7 + 2 guides, was just the right size. Would highly recommend this trip and this company.

The trip was very well organised and the huts and food was spot on. The group was a perfect which is not always the case so we were lucky. I would say that the weather wasn’t it’s best for us but we still got the view we wanted at the end and having time to enjoy this at the end was a bonus.

We were a family of 4, including 2 17yr olds and we all totally enjoyed ourselves.

A great experience. Thoroughly enjoyable. Dan our guide was fantastic, he was calm and relaxed and made us all feel safe and confident out on the water. Despite having to change the itinerary due to forecasted thunder, lightening and heavy rain we managed to do everything and finished with a stunningly beautiful day kayaking down the Lysefjord. Thoroughly recommend it.

This trip was amazing, I loved every minute. From the canoeing, the wild camping, the company, the vegan food that our guide Rory cooked up each day (don't worry there were meat options too) and the scenery - just awesome. Just a few pointers that people probably need to think about when booking - your feet will get wet, even if you manage to avoid capsizing you are going to get your feet wet getting in and out of the canoe so be prepared. You do need some level of fitness for the portages and the canoeing tbh, it really is at least 6hrs a day and sometimes into a head wind. And don't worry about taking a chair, unless it's one of those teeny tiny foldy uppy ones, they just get in the way. Other than that if you are thinking about booking then book, when we finished I just wanted to carry on - signs of a great time.

We had a fantastic trip with Rory, our guide for 5 days canoeing along Loch Ness, the Caledonian canal, Loch Oich and Loch Lochy. The weather was unpredictable, but Rory kept us up to date and flexibility was key to making the trip enjoyable rather than an arduous task! Wild camping was great and our chef (Rory) kept us well fed! We'd highly recommend this trip.

Just back from an incredible trip with an amazing group of people and the best guide you could ask for, Paul!!! If I could give him 10stars I would.
If you are looking forward to going, you are in for a treat, if you haven't booked yet, what are you waiting for.
The places we stayed were so nice, the food so good and the mountain views and atmosphere incredible.
Paul was so knowledgeable of the area and was able to give us so much interesting information and tell us amazing stories.
Without spoiling the treat, my top tips would be....pack light everyone rewears bottoms/tshirts, lunch is 12-20euro plus money for drinks and any extra treats you might like, take flipflops for an evening and definitely stay in Chamonix for a day either before or after the trip (there are many transfer buses available for not a lot), we stayed at Alpina Eclectica which was very nice. You can walk to the meeting point in less than half hour.
You won't be disappointed with this trip.

Gorgeous views. Great hiking. No mountain hut stops on the 3rd day. Group made the trip fantastic but guide should’ve been catered to a more tourist group trip, not ultra trail runners so it seemed like a mismatch for our group. Area is gorgeous!

Some parts were challenging, climing up 1300 meters, descending across steep rockwalls, but with Tracy as our guide we felt really comfortable masteting this challenge. I can’t express what an amazing time I had on this trip. It was such a great mix of being a challenge, while having the most amazing surprises along the way. Rolando our tour guide was phenomenal. He’s knowledge was fantastic, and made everything just so magical. Assistant guide Yool was great fun to have on the trip, and was such a great mix with Rolando. The food by Gregorio was so good, and all the porters took care of us so well, even down to the smallest detail. 5 stars doesn’t do one of the best experiences I’ve ever had justice! There was quite nice group of eight people from different countries with very calm but funny and experienced guy Roberto.
Both the rules and sleeping places where they’re nice and the Temple and ours where we went well very well planned to differently experienced hikers.

A fantastic experience thanks to Tom Brodie (our guide for the trip). A great way to see some of the stunning views the Alps have to offer and spend time getting to know a diverse group, that very quickly became friends through a mutual enjoyment in hiking!
Tom's personable manner and steady pace meant everyone enjoyed themselves right from the start. The tour was well planned including cultural experiences ranging from alpine rifugios (Italian for refuges) to authentic swiss cheese farms, suitable for most with a reasonable level of fitness. I came away feeling like I'd spent 4 days in beautiful surroundings, with some awesome people and not to forget a sense of achievement from the physical challenge of the hiking. What an awesome adventure! Thank you Tom for being such a fun and skilled guide leading us into the beautiful Alps – dad jokes and all! I had a wonderful time, and met some lovely new friends in our group. It was my first multi-day hike and I was a bit nervous, but the pace was great, and having everything organised for me was a weight off! My personal highlight was the sunset/view at Refugio Bonatti and eating lunch high up with the fighting cows at Alpage de Bovine – amazing Rösti!

Trip was amazing and memorable with a great bunch of people. Our guide Paul Spackman was always on hand to solve any hiking issues, he was very informative with great stories shared on our trip. One aspect I feel needs improvement would be the food portions (although taste was delicious) as they were a little small for dinner on the 1st and 3rd night, considering the long strenuous days we definitely needed to refuel and it was a bit lacking on this front! Overall I really enjoyed it and would definitely consider booking another tour.

The trip was everything and more than I expected. The locations were stunning and we had really good weather which made everything a bit easier as I know it rains quite a lot. I loved the kayaking although it was longer paddle than I imagined and my arms and shoulders were sore and tired by the end of the trip. The highlight for me was the hike to Pulpit Rock which was exceptional. I did feel like it was a bit rushed and I would have liked to have had more breaks to take in the stunning scenery. A whole day in the area would have been perfect for me. Sebastian our guide was top class - very knowledgeable and experienced in kayaking and wild camping. The food was delicious and they catered for me, their first vegan!

An amazing mini adventure! From start to finish the trip was well organised and Sebastian was a great guide. As well as genuinely caring for the welfare of each member of the group he had a wealth of knowledge which he was able to pass on about the local environment.

Amazing! The views were wonderful and well worth the effort to get to them. Our guide, Paddy, was fabulous, did all he could to manage a very diverse group in terms of fitness, and get us all safely from point to point, and that everyone in the group enjoyed themselves, as well as finding the best places for ice cream along the way. He also managed a difficult start, thanks to the rockslides in Courmayeur, and found a beautiful alternative route that we all enjoyed very much (possibly more than the planned route.)
The refuges were as expected, clean but cramped, and it was nice to find two with bunk beds for a change. The food was good, and I really appreciated the efforts they made to deal with my dietary requests (vegetarian and gluten free)
I would say, however, that the description of the trip as being suitable for beginners is very misleading, it’s really not. Participants need to be fit, and either doing regular significant physical activity (like running) or experienced or regular hill walkers.

This was a great trip, loved the routes, the hikes and the scenary each day! The general feeling is that the trip description on Skyhook was making it sound a lot less challenging than it actually was. Managed just fine and loved the challenge, but could've prepared better if the description was a little more accurate and technical (how many km are we going each day, steepness, climbs vs descents etc).

Thank you for organising the TMB 4 day hike in August.
Our guide Jerome was really great, enthusiastic, friendly, experienced and knowledgeable in the local geography, flora and fauna. He also kept us safe throughout the mountain route, and catered for each individuals walking rhythm.
The refuges were great rest and refresh spots, with hearty nourishing food, and good shower facilities (how important!!). The lunch packs were also very tasty and nourishing.
I really enjoyed this trip, and just wish it was longer… so I’ll be in touch to organise the longer 10 day TMB trip in 2023!

Jerome, our guide, was caring, entertaining and communicated his wealth of knowledge very well. It was with natural ease that he passed on his passion for the mountains and the Mont Blanc area in particular.
The hostels/ lodges were great and the food plentiful and tasty.
Regarding transport, I would have liked more visible information about getting back to Chamonix from Courmayeur.

I completed this trip last year and I really enjoyed it. The camp was right next to the river. Dinner was served at a small table on the river bank bathed in the soft glow of the sunset. The first morning of waking up was like being in heaven. The sound of the river, fresh clean air and peacefulness. By 9am there was a healthy bustle of people pulling out their kayaks and helping each other to get onto the water. The teams were staggered to make sure we got to enjoy the natural beauty of the river but there were times in the first 30 mins of the trip that kayaks bumped together & we had to hold back but this was soon resolved by the raftek guys. Its run by a small team and all were friendly and welcoming. In August the river was low and gentle but other times of the year it is said to be more challenging. I liked the slower pace because I got the time to take in the scenery which is breathtaking. It is an absolutely beautiful area. The camp is rugged and basic but that offered a nicer feel as the whole trip felt like getting back to the roots of nature and reminded me of a much simpler time experienced in childhood.
I extended my stay to have time in Zadar and met a friend who went to split and I also visited the waterfalls in Krka and the national park. All of which were incredible but my two favourite moments in the 12 day trip were this camping trip and spending time in the old town in Zadar buy there were so many great experiences!!

What a weekend and what a challenge. I don't think we'd of made it under 24 hours without our guide Darren. And what a guide. Professional, knowledgable and kept us update throughout the weekend regarding timings, schedule etc. Pushed us when we needed it, looked after everyone equally. The driver Sean, was also an integral part of the team, also keeping us on schedule as much as possible. How this team does this throughout the summer, week in, week out is incredible. Hats off to them all. If you are thinking of doing this challenge, make sure you're fit and determined. It's tough, tougher than the Yorkshire 3 Peaks. Eight of us started it but only 6 of us finished it. Oh, and ask for Darren as your guide :-)

Cecelia is a fabulous guide and deserves maximum credit. I would love to do another guided trip with her.
A few points, we did not need to bring our swimming gear as there is not a " real" proper plan to go for a swim which was disappointing.
You definitely need to bring light flip flops, I regretted not having a pair with me.
The food on our second night was lovely, many thanks.

The whole trip was fantastic and a wonderful experience to share with a great group of people. The trip represents excellent value for money and the accommodation while being basic was a welcome site at the end of the day hike. Alp adventure were very well organised, everything worked like clockwork, eg: the shuttle bus pickup/drop offs.
Our guide Cecilia is fantastic, very knowledgeable and you felt in safe hands. She kept up a good pace for the group while keeping a look out for people who needed a bit of support.
I would fully recommended this trip.
It would be helpful to advise flip-flops for huts as these are a must have and it would be helpful to point out potential mobile phone costs in switzland as one member of the team clocked up a £50 bill with out realising.

I have just completed the highlights tour du Mont Blanc with my wife and it was fantastic from beginning to end. This was our first multi day trek and we went with plenty of trepidation. We did not know what to expect and was unsure how hard or enjoyable it would be. We spent ages looking at the information provided and pawed over many reviews before taking the plunge. Having now completed it, I think the information provided by Tom was spot on. So with loads of hindsight, this is my thoughts. Yes, you should be fit as every day is tough walking up to 8 hours per day either up or downhill with a pack. However, the trail is easy to walk across, as long as you are generally steady on your feet (I am 56 and was fine) and you do some long training walks with your pack. We were part of a group of 14 and I feel very lucky/privileged to have been part of such a fantastic group of like minded people, out to have fun, enjoy the experience whilst being so kind and considerate to everybody. It is not a race and should not be treated as a race/competition, but more as a tough leisurely stroll. It is a fantastic opportunity to experience the great outdoors and especially the wonderful all day long stunning varied views of the Alps that change daily along the route. Of course this is not a "luxury" holiday in terms of comfort, but it is "luxury" in terms of experience! The huts can be basic, but are enjoyable and should be considered as part of the experience. You should not be choosing this holiday for the huts, they are simply there to allow you to wash/change, eat, drink and rest before spending another amazing day in the Alps. They are clean, comfortable, have decent food/drink and are friendly. Another very important part of this trip was our guide Cecilia. Wow, I never realised how important this role could be. Cecilia was a super organised, ultra friendly, knowledgeable and extremely professional guide. Nothing was left to chance and the detailed planning enabled everybody else to just relax, follow and enjoy without any stress or worry. Her attention to detail was second to none. All of this can not be underestimated and really sets the tone to create an amazing enjoyable holiday for all! So follow the guidance provided, "light really is right", enjoy the experience and try and make sure that everyone else enjoys the experience! Cannot recommend highly enough!

Had a fantastic time on the Tour du Mont Blanc. It was a challenging trek, however made possible from following the recommendations incorporating hills with packs as part of pre training preparation. We were professionally guided by the wonderful Cecilia who got us where we needed to be when we needed to be there. Even pre booking a fabulous lunch that was awaiting our arrival between walks! A fantastic guide with extensive knowledge and a real passion for her job. We were part of a large group where we met as strangers but left as friends. I cannot recommend this trip highly enough, just make sure your prepared for the ascents and descents.
Clean and comfortable dorms, good food, Fantastic experience.
Now trying to decide what we could do next…..

The journey was managed so well with Chuck and Lizzie, we felt safe and enabled to enjoy a wonderful 5 days. Food was excellent and sites chosen were very good. Despite the weather which was good buy changeable the guides gave at tremendous amount of thought to our safety as well as ensuring we got the most from our day.
We would highly recommend this trip and can't give enough praise to the guides.

5 stars simply won't cover the expertise, knowledge or quality of kit we had on our canoe trip. The supply top ups along the trip were invaluable as it kept food fresh and eggs unbroken until needed!
The only thing that couldn't be predicted were our trip group who turned out to be real teammates and everyone took the same outlook on making it the best trip possible.

My husband and I did this hike and would recommend you take on this challenge. The team at Skyhook were fantastic and our guide Omar couldn’t have done enough for us. From our chef to the guide everything was so well organized and there was no unclear information given we were always told what was happening next. The group was small for our booking, 6 of us and we all got on so well and we made friends for life from Switzerland, China, Ireland etc, we are already planning our next adventure with Skyhook together. An experience we will never forget and one that has the personal touch and gave us the confidence that we were in professional hands and our safety was their priority. Wow it was amazing and crazy. Our guide Omar was fantastic with patience, encouragment and answered all our questions concerning the area and history and knew how to make us laugh.
It was an exciting and well organised trip. Omar our guide was knowledgable, patient, supportive of all the group to ensure we were all able to reach the summit for the breath taking views. I would definitely recommend a stay in Marrakesh after to get to know Morocco, it is wonderful.

The scenery was pretty and our guide Mas was lovely. Not convinced this is a trip for beginners with no experience nor easy paddling. When the rain and wind and the tide is against you it’s 6 hours non-stop battling. Some of our group needed towing on the last day. There isn’t anywhere proper to get changed and arrange your bags for flying on the last day. Just a basement accessed by a muddy field or strip down on the owners porch. The hike day fails to mention the 20 minute scramble up a hillside to a road with no path and it’s quite dangerous hauling yourself up with ropes.

Just returned from this amazingly holiday. Well organised. The walk took us through some spectacular scenery. Our guide Christel was excellent, great knowledge about the area always ensuring the group were ok and enjoying the experience. She truly is passionate about her job and this is obvious. A great holiday for people with hill walking experience and don’t mind sharing a dormitory with strangers at the start and friends by the end. A fantastic experience.

Well, where do I start? I was met by our guide Tom at the train station promptly as promised. He is very friendly while remaining professional. We (myself and the rest of the group) where transported to the accommodation - which was outstanding - settled in and shown to the pool. After a swim and time to get ready we all ate dinner together, again guys honestly, the food is exceptional. (3 course meal)
We where given our Via Ferrata equipment and instructions on how to use it, before retiring the the night. The next morning, prompt and in great spirits we were transported, in 2 groups by Tom and Steve - another first-class guide - to a local bakery to collect lunch to take, then onto the first VF. This was my very first ever Via Ferrata, and my first experience of such a trip alone abroad. I got so much more than I expected out of the trip, I'm completely hooked and can't recommend this high enough. I have struggled to find the words to express how amazing the experience has been. After a short flight from London and a 2 hrs train trip from GVA looking at the lakes and mountains along the way I arrived at Martigny train station which was the pick up point for the adventure. Tom, our guide greeted myself and 3 others with a big smile (half the group) and took us to our accommodation just a short drive away. Lovely hostel/campsite set up with fabulous food, pool, crazy golf and friendly staff. After dinner we were introduced to our Via Ferrata equipment and tried it on for size. We all retired for a early night.......for an early breakfast the next day and a short trip to the first VF. Steve, another guide was introduced to us and we all headed for the bakery for our lunch baguette. This was my first VF and absolutely loved it. I traveled on my own and enjoy meeting new people. Everybody was very friendly and for many of them it was their first VF too. Thank you Tom and Steve from Alps Adventures and Skyhook for making it possible. I hope to do more in the future and will get my own kit

Amazing adventure. Very well organised. Our host's were truely brilliant. We always felt safe and very comfortable with Alex and Sean. All of the people in our team had varying levels of experience and Alex and Sean made sure they pitched the kayaking experience to their level. They made the holiday a special and unique adventure for each one of us.
The food for breakfast and lunch was tasty and satisfying. Although the website says to take plenty of snacks, we never needed them.
The bell tents were comfortable and spacious and the campsite met all of our requirements. There was a mess tent with a few power points, along with a small fridge and kettle. We had a fire pit in the evening which was an absolute bonus. There are a few pubs within walking distance, approx 25mins if you are a keen walker. But there is more choice for food in the surrounding towns and villages but you would need a car. There was a bus stop outside the campsite entrance but never investigated this option.
Alex and Sean went above and beyond which made the whole trip unique and special. Thank you.

What a great three days kayaking. Everything was excellent from the comfy bell tent a great campsite to our outstanding instructors from Land and Wave. Alex and Shaun were great guides and extremely knowledgeable about the area we were touring. They were also great company. The locations we went to were spectacular. Breakfast and lunch were superb and Corfe Castle a lovely short walk in the evening to get dinner. We had a fantastic time and would definitely book again.

I had the best time on my recent hike lead by Ben. Ben’s ability to support everyone, regardless of previous experience and fitness level, was admirable. Ben has an extensive knowledge of the area, this made me feel quite safe and he was able to give detailed descriptions of surrounding areas and the environment. I would recommend this trip to anyone, especially if your guide is Ben.

An overall very positive experience. Met lots of nice people, some of us will definitely stay in touch. Our guide Ben was very nice and cared for us like a protective mum :-)
Regarding my expectations for the trip and how it really happened, I must say I was surprised how hard it was and how many ups and downs of mountains we made. Reading the description of the hiking tour, I expected really to ascend the first day (touch), then stay up high in the mountains and use more transversal paths, but we went all the way down to river level on the second day and all the way up to 2500 m altitude and then down the other side of the mountain to river level. On third day, all the way up again and down at the other side of a mountain. I didn't expect that really and my feet and knees neither. I am a fit person and I really did my best, even walking with a bleeding heal from a huge blister on day 3. I think the description wasn't clear enough about all these ascents, descents, ascents.... If possible I would far more have preferred to stay up high in the mountain on day 2 and 3 and then descent on day 4 but I guess it is not possible given the topography of the area, the refuges available etc. ?
I will not do an alp trip again I am not made for mountains but I liked very much the group spirit and our kind guide Ben.
I don't know if you organize hiking trips to for instance Scotland but with less ascents and descents, Ben might be interested in seeing our group again in that case.

What a great trip with some lovely people. Our guide Ben was very though and comprehensive, informative and satisfactory with his instructions. I would recommend Ben for his unique skill set and interesting approach. The only disappointment is I am yet to see a beaver Eagle but I would definitely go again.!

This is definitely one of the best things to do in Morocco. The climb up Mt. Toubkal was really fun and Mustapha made sure that we had plenty of stops. Once you get to the top the view is beautiful. The trip to the Sahara Desert was also really fun. Mohamed and Mustapha knew all the best places to stop and visit, and where to get the best photos. The Berber Camp in the Sahara desert is also really nice. Both Mohamed and Mustapha were really friendly throughout the trip and even told me the best places to visit in Marrakech. I would highly recommend this package to anyone wanting to experience to different sides of Morocco in a small time frame. Definitely worth every penny.

Very good, well organized and the guide and the driver were very nice to us.
Hotels and restaurants were much more than expected, very good quality.
I would improve the communication though. Some activities were not fully described and turned out to be far away from the reality (snorkeling day was simply a day at the beach). Also, no additional info from the guide the day of the activities, and sometimes it turned out to be bad handled while a good communication on what to expect would have helped a lot. Besides this, which is a point to improve, the experience was amazing and we had great days. Recommended for sure.

Fantastic 4 days trekking through the beautiful Alps. Our guide Leah was very knowledgable and helped make sure all we’re comfortable and going at a reasonable pace for them. Accommodation was in amazing locations and part of the experience. Highly recommend for solo travellers or joining the group as a couple. Good level of fitness certainly required and being prepared with sun cream!

The trip was well organized and everything went smoothly!! This trip is being run by Alps Adventures and they were an absolute delight to travel with... Tom helped us check the weight of our bag to ensure we were not carrying too much weight at the start of the journey . And our guide Léa was extremely knowledgeable and ensured we were prepared for the day , everyday. She was also super fun :D
Parts of the hike were challenging but the stunning views made up for it. Food in all the accomodations were excellent.
Definitely would love to do it again!

What a trip… firstly it was super well organised, from helping us to weigh our rucksacks to the accommodation and always keeping an eye on how much water we had from one place to the next.
Lea our guide was very professional and friendly and took absolute care of us, we had a minor fall in the group on day 3 and she dealt with it really well.
The views are picture postcard and each accommodation option was so different and varied.
I met some great people and would definitely book again with Skyhook - I am already deciding where for 2023!
