Wow what an adventure I had. From start to finish was made to feel safe in the hands of your great guides Bill & Sallie. We were blessed with the weather and the other participants in the group were all so lovely and encouraging. Thanks for a great experience will definitely look into doing another tour with you. My paddle across Scotland was a fabulous experience. Our guides, Cam, Chris and Dan made sure that everything went smoothly. They kept us well fed and provided us with enough information to get us going and keep us going with a sense of humour and genuine care for all of us. We worked together as a team which gave us the feeling of being on a real expedition, I felt that I was challenged but never overwhelmed and would book again in a heartbeat. I feel that I have accomplished something that I could never have contemplated doing alone. I would highly recommend this trip.

This has been the most amazing and rewarding experience. It is a really well organised and fun trip- lots of challenge but broken up into manageable days. Our guides Cam and Chris were truly fabulous- experienced, helpful and kind. Volunteer Dan was eager, helpful and kind. Camps were great fun and our dinners were great. I am proud of what I’ve achieved and have learnt lots about myself. Here’s to lots more adventures ❤️🛶

Trip date: Friday 7th July - Tuesday 11th July 2023 Participants; Stuart, Nigel, Nicola, Caroline, Caroline, Brad, Paul, Sarah, Dan, Pam, Vera and myself David. Guides; Chris Potts - Water safety professional Cameron Penn - Trip and Logistics Manager Dan - Additional support and help The following is from my perspective only. The trip is an ideal adventure to see and explore Scotland from the seat of a canoe paddling on canals and Lochs, looking at and absorbing nature with minimal noise and light pollution (at night). If you've ever wanted to immerse yourself in nature in this way, I recommend this trip, as wildlife is abundant. The journey is sometimes challenging, mainly due to (unpredictable) weather conditions and individual fitness levels. Our group had an age range from 19 to 70 years old, and everyone completed the trip without any adverse issues, although there were plenty of achy and sore muscles. The trip is a group activity rather than an individual effort; you should expect to engage in team participation and offer and recognise when you need help and support while also recognising when others require help and support. For my part, I needed help on several occasions, and I was grateful individuals stepped in and supported me. It is also essential to recognise when individuals need alone time. The actual camping and eating facilities are limited; this is not a pessimistic view but more of an expression to inform others of what to expect. I suggest anyone considering this trip to consider this, as this is not a 'Glamping experience'. That said, speaking for myself and what I witnessed in the group, everyone embraced the adventure and the limitations of 'wild camping' with minimal cooking and personal facilities available. We were very fortunate with the other group members; they were positive, engaging, helpful and team-spirited, with a can-do attitude and full of support; there was plenty of laughter and smiles; the group made the whole trip better! Within the group were siblings, friends, couples and individuals, and I felt we all worked as a team when needed and bonded well throughout the trip. Cameron Penn led the trip and organised the logistics for the food, the cooking for 15 people, choosing the optimum camping sites, and how long the actual paddling day would be, depending on the weather conditions. Considering the enormity of the above, Cameron managed this with ease and a level of maturity above his actual age of 23; he is an impressive young man with adaptable leadership skills. I'm 57 years old and would gladly go on another trip he led. Chris Potts is 24 years old and was responsible for the whole group's safety and water management. Initially, I was concerned about this level of responsibility; however, I soon realised that Chris is knowledgeable with an excessive amount of qualifications backed up by real-life experience. He has a friendly manner about himself, smiling and relaxed, although he was always looking at the group on the water, the weather, and the surroundings. He has a confidence which is pleasant and reassuring. I would gladly go on another trip he led, and I felt completely safe on the whole journey. Dan Holmes is currently adding to his 'water' experience and qualifications; he volunteered to complete the trip to aid Chris in learning additional new skills while adding to his current portfolio of knowledge and qualifications. Dan is 19 years old and probably one of the nicest, most hard-working and most helpful individuals I have come across - I hope his parents are very proud of him; he has a bright future ahead of himself and made a positive impression on the whole group. If I could suggest a learning opportunity for the company, I would have liked more engagement with communications before the trip to help manage expectations. I appreciate that this is not straightforward, as there are numerous views to consider, although this would have benefited me. There were many elements which made the trip a success for me, although if I singled out one area, I would say the guides were the reason the whole trip was a success, Cameron, Chris and Dan should feel very proud of themselves, well done!

What a fabulous trip, we both thoroughly enjoyed our paddle across Scotland. Our guides Cam, Chris and Dan kept us safe and on track and at no time did we feel out of our depth although there were a few tricky moments our guides had a plan and we felt very safe and well looked after. We were worried that there wouldn't be enough space on the canoe of all of our kit and us, we needn't have worried as there was plenty of space in the end. The food was very good and we were very impressed that Cam could cook food for all 15 of us on 2 small gas stoves! This trip was a challenge, as we expected but all 12 guests worked well together which gave us the sense of being on proper expedition which made our experience very special. Lovely people, fabulous views, a wonderful experience we would book again with these guys. Highly recommended.

So glad I decided to go on this trip - what an incredible experience! Everything was well planned out and the team at Nordic Paddling was amazing. Our guide Sandra made the trip so special and looked after us all really well. The campsite was in an idyllic spot and we had perfect weather which made it even better. Our group also bonded so well and I really enjoyed getting to know everyone. You pack a lot into just a few days which makes the trip feel longer and like you’ve made the most of each day - there are always breaks and plenty of snacks though! Can’t recommend this trip enough if you want to meet great new people and explore this incredible part of the world.

What an amazing adventure…..the hardest thing I have ever done , but totally amazing. The scenery was off the scale . Guy our guide for the 4 days was brilliant with us all. We were a large group from Essex who were all friends , and 2 strangers who quickly became friends . We are all strong individuals and am sure at times poor Guy must have felt like he was herding sheep…..but he managed us all brilliantly. He was kind , considerate , calm, and dealt with our various levels of fitness with ease. He took time to get to know us all…..and was a pleasure to be around . We are a boisterous bunch , but this did not bother him at all. I highly recommend this trip, I am fit but not young , and managed this…..with a lot of encouragement from others in the group and of course Guy. Who I cannot thank enough 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Paddy and I had an amazing time… the shock of the big communist dorm on the first night, the awesome views of the Mont Blanc mountain range, the comradeship of the group, the laughter and the well paced walks were fantastic. Our guide Guy was so kind and catered well to the needs of the group. He helped anyone in difficulty and was a wealth of knowledge on the history of the region and the local flora and fauna.. after the tour finished he went out of his way to help locate my lost passport then how to sort out emergency passport to travel home. We would both highly recommend this tour and Guy in particular. We couldn’t have done this trip with a nicer group of people. Thank you all 😊

We had a fantastic time and this is truly a great hike experience - made even more enjoyable with a group and guide. The conditions were perfect and each day provided awe inspiring vistas, stories and tough but rewarding routes. Our guide, Christel, was always approachable and knew the sights and region intimately, giving us plenty of moments to ask questions and learn more along the trail. Accommodation was fine, just remember your ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. The included meals were basic - in need of some inspirational flare, but this experience is more about the hike than a "gourmande dining" tour. Come prepared and be amazed, not only at what you experience but also what you accomplish. We had a memorable time with a great like-minded group of hikers. You have to do Mont Blanc and this "express" version, is truly a great way to do it. Keep on climbing, cheers!

I would recommend doing the trip with a group of friends but probably not if you are a solo traveller as the enjoyability largely depends on the group and guide. If the weather is bad you will be in the hut for the whole afternoon / evening with not much to do. The room we were given was so small only one person could stand up, all the beds were pushed together. You do not have an option to pay for a separate room, even if you are the only female in a tiny room with men or offer to pay for every bed in an empty room. The guide wasn’t happy to I had asked. There is no water at the hut and a small bottle of water is €3. No water is included in the evening meal. The mountain was beautiful and the scenery incredible. Climbing to the top was a great experience.

This was such a lovely trip. The house at Imlil is beautiful with stunning views and a great place to start your trek into the mountains. From there, the walk up to the refuge is full of stunning views. The refuge itself offers hostel type accommodation with good food and helpful staff. I've done ascents before; this one was demanding, partly because we opted to get up there for sunrise so we didn't get much sleep. The descent is largely on shale and boulders, so good footwear and walking sticks are very helpful. Both Lahouceine and Muhammed were great, we were very well taken care of. This was such a successful expedition that I'm planning on doing more trips through the High Atlas next year.

Guide cristel was amazing, so knowledgeable.. I appreciate difficulties in hostels etc but hot water should be a minimum. Food.... no vegetables no salad, not acceptable. My partner is vegan and stated this. I'm not but I dislike going without vegetables or salad. There are plenty of long lasting vegetables, if storage , delivery etc is an issue. The walk, the views, transport etc all rate 5 stars.

(Jun 2023)
Overall a great trip. Our guide Christel was truly amazing - friendly, helpful, professional, knowledgeable 5 stars⭐️!! The trip was a lot more challenging than I had expected - it’s not a ramble for sure - you need to be fit, difficult ascents that seem to go on forever and descents the same! However the scenery is stunning - breathtaking - we had glorious weather (25 degrees hot and sunny a welcome breeze now and then) which was good as apparently the previous week was rainy - it would have ruined our trip if the weather had been bad. The accommodation is very basic - be prepared to be sleeping alongside strangers and sharing a dorm with people who are not in your trip - the first night is the most basic we slept in a 14 bed room - like sardines with 11 of our trip and two from another trip. You need a sleeping bag liner the beds have a rubbish pillow and a quilt both I’m sure not ‘refreshed’ each day! Take ear plugs - most people snore! The showers/toilets at the first night again very basic (think 70s school trip) but if you’re comfortable queuing for three toilets whilst staring at people’s feet under the door - you’re good to go! Maybe I’m a little too precious - private rooms and bathrooms are my thing. The second nights accommodation was slightly better - less to a room and bunk beds but bathroom and toilet facilities similar. The third night was a little better but not much. Food - breakfast and dinner provided seemed to get better with each day - all acceptable - all sitting down together around 6/7 for dinner was a nice time to chat and catch up on the days trek. Whole heartedly recommend walking poles! Don’t overpack/bring anything unnecessary items/clothing - you’re carrying approx 6/7 kilos on your back it’s hard! The last day following a break at the top ( and delicious food - I opted for a local fromage (yoghurt) with chestnut cream) we began our final descent after 15 minutes we reached the cable car - our guide said we could either continue the walk down which was more of the same 45 mins of steep rocky terrain or take the cable car - we took the cable car! By this time I had begun to develop a couple of blisters on my toes from the steep downhills from the day before decided they didn’t need another 45 minutes of bash bash! Actually I think the cable car should be added to the trip - it’s a wonderful way to end the trek especially as the last 45 mins weren’t very scenic just basically steep downhill! Also I would suggest the mini buses pick us up from Le Tours to take us all back to Vert Lodge - instead we all had to take the public bus which was crowded and couldn’t get a seat.

Amazing experience with fantastic scenery. Definitely need good level of fitness to complete this hike, very challenging at times especially day 2. Get plenty of hiking practice in before you start. Tracy our guide was brilliant and enjoyed meeting everyone in our group.

Amazing trip, our guide Gracjan was brilliant and put us all at ease. An experience I will never forget. Only thing I would say is it was extremely warm and I personally think it should be more aimed at more experienced hikers, you definitely need a certain level of fitness to do it and have some experience. Overall though unforgettable and met a great bunch of people. Thank you Gracjan and Skyhook.

Overall it was a fantastic trip, we had a great group. Darren our driver was a mine of information about the trip and was really helpful. The minibus is a bit cramped so plan your packing well! The mountain guides are fantastic, they are super fit and really know their stuff. This is a tough challenge, you need to train for it, it's not something you can just do especially if you want to do it within the time frame. Some of our group booked through a different company and a couple of them failed to complete the challenge. I'm not sure whether the company they used told them how fast the pace would be or not but I think in future Shyhook need to make sure that other companies using the same transport and guides are giving out the same information as it was a logistical nightmare for the guides to manage such a varied ability group and really disappointing for the people who didn't complete.

What a great trip! The scenery is stunning, and the trip is well put together with pickups, transport, accommodation and food. You overnight in what are effectively mountain hostels, and as long as you know to expect dorms, shared showers and limited facilities, they're everything you need - plus they're in amazing locations. We had a great group, and Marcos our guide was fantastic. The walks are tough enough, with steep gradients both ways and long days - but there are beers, wine and food at each stop, so it all works perfectly. (The Rostis Complet at Bovine were awesome!) Will definitely use Skyhook again, and would recommend a knighthood for Marcos! Cheers!!

Amazing trip with a group that just made click since day one! Even though there are some challenging parts through TMB, all the things you get to see and experience are completely worth it. What a tour!! Amazing trek through the most beautiful landscapes, you’ll go home with thousands of pictures, memories and a dozen new friends. Our guide - Marcos - was the best, you can tell he loves the mountains and sharing them with others. He shared stories about mountaineering, tips for places to visit and things to do, making the trip unforgettable and enriching.

What can I say. If you're thinking about booking this trip, do it! You will not regret it! The trip exceeded all my expectations. I absolutely loved this hike. Extremely well led and organised and Marcos (our guide) was brilliant. The Mountain refuges are extremely clean. Take flip flops or sliders as you are not permitted to wear your walking boots inside the refuges. Bear in mind the sleeping arrangements are dormitory style and you will be sharing a room with other people - dont forget your earplugs! Advice I would give to anyone booked on or thinking of booking on this trip: - Pack LIGHT, so important. Remember you're going to be carrying that bag for 4 days. Don't take anything you don't need. There is the opportunity to leave anything at the Vert Lodge prior to setting off. Your bag is weighed before starting. - In my view, you need slightly more than a base level of fitness. Luckily, I already had a good level of fitness. You are walking up moderate to steep mountains for long periods over the 4 days, so get that hill training in. The hard work is worth it as the views are breathtaking. - Take more snacks. I didn't, as advised, but wish I had. - Invest in good walking socks. I'm grateful that I did! I would not hesitate to book with Skyhook again. Infact, I'm already looking at trips for 2024.

What an amazing trip! Firstly Norway is breathtakingly stunning (I mean perhaps the best in the world and I’ve travelled a lot) this trip is a perfect balance of Kayaking and an exciting hike (you go up early to avoid the crowds) the hut location and the camping beautiful. The guides so much fun and knowledgeable. Fjords sooo awesome book this trip (all food included as Norway is expensive) do NOT miss this trip. Bill & Sally are wonderful Guides - knowledgeable, helpful, encouraging, organised, fab stories! 5 stars 👌 I know when I booked this trip some of the other reviews helped me so here’s some points from me: - bring everything on packing list but add extra socks (you walk over streams and your feet will get wet) - bring a T-shirt to sleep in, ear plugs and waterproof bags for inside your backpack, the day cover will not keep your kit dry if it rains heavily - bring snacks every though they say you don’t need too! Some cafes might not be open and your breakfast and lunch on day 2 is very small - due to weather we didn’t get to visit Swiss farm (they didn’t want us in our wet clothing) and we didn’t swim in lake So do expect the unexpected - I found I didn’t need as much Swiss Fracs they told us to bring and didn’t spend much of the euros either but better safe than sorry I guess - Easier to rent poles than bring your own - The accommodation, food and showers get better each night - Fitness level needs to be more than skyhook suggest… playing tennis twice a week isn’t going to help you up those mountains - take travel insurance out a day earlier and day later just incase flights are cancelled etc - I expected Skyhook mini van to collect us at the end of the walk but we all had to get 2 public buses back to vert lodge that were packed Overall this is an amazing trip, with amazing people, the scenery is just breath taking and I highly recommend. It’s a trip of a lifetime and I hope you get Bill as a guide because he is a true inspiration

Great trip. Great guide (Bill and Sallie). Accommodation good but drying facilities not in every refuge. Think Skyhook need to be more explicit in terms of the level of fitness required-whilst it should be inclusive for all individuals do also need to ensure that they are fit to do this trip. We had one person who was not fit enough and it impacted on the enjoyment for others.
Travelled on: Tour du Mont Blanc Highlights
(Jun 2023)
Our guides, Bill and Sallie were amazing and the scenery was spectacular! I would suggest that you do need a good level of fitness for this trip as the terrain is demanding both in terms of sustained ascent and descent. I would recommend using dry bags to keep your kit dry as we experienced a heavy thunderstorm and there were not always adequate drying facilities. I would also recommend bringing some snacks as on one occasion the breakfast and lunch was small and the climb long without opportunity to stop due to lack of facility and weather (both unpredictable and no fault of our guides). Go prepared and you will have a great experience.

TDMB 4 day trek in June. This was a fabulous tour organised to perfection. We were lucky to have Tom as one of our guides whose wealth of knowledge and experience was outstanding, he was meticulous in ensuring we had everything we needed whilst providing information every step of the way, making us feel safe and supported. We also had the brilliant Marcos whose gentle, fun character made us feel completely at ease and his passion for the mountains was infectious. What stood out for me was that we were treated as individuals encouraged to walk at our own pace, I was at the back but felt no pressure to keep up with the fast ones. This has been an incredible experience with breathtaking scenery, spent with the most wonderful people, full of fun and laughter all the way…..doh ray me. just AWESOME. I was initially nervous about joining the trip as a solo traveller (and definitely out of my comfort zone), but the guides all made me feel very at home and relaxed straight away. This trip is all about the experience, so I would say that if you're a sit by the pool, all inclusive type of holiday person - this probably isn't for you. Alternatively, If you like the outdoors and you want to see some truly epic scenery, take in the majesty and the scale of the fjords, and have a brilliant time doing it....Jump on this trip asap. This was a brilliant trip. Keith our leader was excellent: very knowledgeable, engaging and communicated clearly at all stages managing our mixed ability group well. My perspective on the mixed ability point is slightly different perhaps because I was one slowing the group down in the end as the third peak took its toll on me. However , I am pleased to have finished and in daylight. It took us just shy of 14 hours. I think the accessibility of this to different abilities is a strength and there are escape points after the first and second peaks which allows flexibility. That said I would recommend some proper training (uphill) to make the day enjoyable. The scenery is awesome!

Incredible adventure from start to finish. I was drawn to the trip by the kayaking, but I fell in love with the hiking and wild camping - this gave the trip variety and time to recover muscles between activities! The trip is adapted to what the group wants, and the weather, and played on everyone’s strengths and passions so you really make the most of the 4 days. Had a fantastic group of people to explore the fjords with that I hope to cross paths with again someday. Sebastian and Lukas were super skilled and knowledgable and gave useful info along the way, even during the minibus ride to the cabin. Food was delicious, surprisingly so considering we carried everything in kayaks, and Seb was always ready with snacks when we needed an energy boost! It felt like every individual mattered on this trip and contributed to the experience - what a dream team. This is such a unique and special experience that you gain from exploring the fjords with this awesome company. I am so grateful that we found this trip and I hope to go on further adventures with Nordic Paddling. Please keep us posted :)

Great experience and thoroughly enjoyed with friend. However, word of cautions for other fellows who might be interested to go on this expedition. This is not a "moderate difficult" expedition but rather we would say between "moderate and difficult" for most of us - exceptions are very regular hikers! This experience could have been made better by splitting second day of hike in two days as climbing mountain and coming down all the way to Imlil was a bit too much for all of us (probably stay second night as base camp - refuge camp and third day further climb down). Guide was very nice guy and friendly. Stay and food were good as it could be with limited resources. Certainly worth the experience.

What a phenomenal adventure! Not for the faint hearted this trip is so highly recommended. A great physical challenge on some tricky terrain but extremely rewarding. We were very well looked after with our fabulous guide Hussain and cook Ahmed. Delicious food in abundance, stunning accommodation in imlil and Marrakesh. Hussain read our group so well and ensured that each and every one of us made it safely to the summit & back down - a very impressive feat!! Very highly recommended. We unfortunately missed out on the included massage in Marrakesh as the ascent / descent took us almost 15 hours. There was also some confusion about the final meal but all hiccups only minor and easily solved by Lahouceine.

Excellent trip. Loved it. Hotels were great. Only down side was being kept waiting at the airport on arrival for a couple of hours. Also how the situation was handled when one of our team was struggling with altitude, could have left an uncomfortable feel. It is being dealt with now, and feedback given. We did feel a bit at the mercy of the guides and not always consulted on things. e.g. the meal on the second night, would have been nice to have at the hotel instead it was at the owner of the companies house?? Great food, but meant we didn't have time for our so called free massage etc.

Everything was well ran by skyhook food timing accommodation etc except for 2 thing s 1. Our guides had very poor English and we struggled to understand eachother. 2. I fell on the Mt Toubkal Morocco and cut my hands badly in a number of places the guide had no first aid kit not even a simple band aid - very poor service indeed

Both Guides Kush & Birdhoj where fantastic made the trip possible for myself to achieve. Giving us lots of insight into local traditions and religions as well as life in Kathmandu. The scenary was amazing and I was fortunate to have an amazing group of fellow trekkers with me. Possibly the hardest and most memorable trip I've ever made.

(May 2023)
I enjoyed my trip very much. It was amazing, definitely a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Kush, our guide, was just great and he managed the entire trip excellently. I did not put 5 stars only for one reason: the trip has a lot of hidden costs that I was not informed about at the start, but throughout the trip I realized that my budget had to be suddenly expanded. For example, in the guidelines from you it says that 400-600 USD is recommended for food. The reality was that I had to spend around double the amount; in addition, we had to spend on a helicopter on the way back due to weather conditions. It would be great if you advised us that a probable 1,000 USD extra has to be budgeted for a helicopter in and out from Lukla. If people are on a tight budget, this definitely is stressful. Perhaps it would be great to update your website with all the extra costs. But overall I enjoyed the trip very much.

Like other reviews have already said, this is an incredible experience. The unsung heroes are definitely the porters who work their asses off (no pun intended) to keep ahead of you and provide delicious meals. **NOTE** we were lulled into a false sense of security by the first day. The second day is a step up in difficulty - waking up at 3am after sleeping in shared bunk bed rooms, and dribble of a cold shower, it's hard graft to get up to the summit through steep icy patches and a sheer drop, scrambling, and all the way back down over 12 hours or more in total. The altitude also took it's toll on us, so I would definitely say it was at least 'demanding' rather than 'moderate' as advertised. Also it would be good for Skyhook to recommend what tip to give for the porter and guide - luckily the others in our group had done similar trips before so advised us what is typical. Lastly, I would highly recommend staying on for a night in a riad in Marrakech.

Unforgettable trip! Our guide Mustafa was brilliant, the scenery was astounding and the walk wasn’t too hard for anyone who has done a few mountains before and is relatively fit. One thing that could have been clearer is that you should keep your passports in your day sack - they will be checked by the authorities as you go up the mountain.

(Apr 2023)
What a great experience. If you are trying to persuade yourself to do this trust me just do it. You won’t regret it. (Even in the wet season)! And you will be proud of yourself for achieving this. Overall, Great communication and planning by the team. The whole team were super friendly and helpful which took away any stresses related to that. The hike itself. They scale the support team well so you have a head guide / chef and other support staff carrying the heavier bags/ tents / food etc. you will only be carrying your day pack. You are going to be amazed how quickly and effortlessly they can carry these items up the mountain. Most days aren’t too long in terms of hiking (depending how fast you are) but give you ample time to acclimatize. The summit day is something else. Depending how fast you are you will leave anywhere between 11pm and 2am (maybe later if you are even fitter) to reach the summit for sunrise. I would consider myself pretty fit but found the summit day pretty tiring, especially the last push before Stella Point. You won’t regret putting the effort/ training in before. Food was great too. Considering you are camping you still get freshly (and tasty) cooked hot meals and packed lunches on longer days. Pro tips: 1) I would highly recommend paying extra for the portable toilet. I read the same online before I went and opted for it and after seeing (smelling) the toilets on the mountain I’m happy I paid the extra 😊😮 2) wet season clothes A poncho is not optional but a MUST. It rained every day on the hike. When it poured it really poured and I was thankful I had a poncho and great rain gear. Trying to dry clothes / gear between days is limited so this will save you putting on wet trousers again or having a wet bag. 3) camp entertainment As mentioned some days aren’t the most demanding and you have sometime to kill in the camps. I had audio books but had downloaded a few episodes/ movies. Make sure you download quite a few. They weigh nothing! 4) pillow Bring an inflatable pillow for the camping. 5) extra treats The supporting team really appreciated sharing the treats brought from home. 6) safari make sure you do a safari. I had one day spare at the end of the trip and opted to go to the ngorongoro crater. Even though it was a super early start (3am) it was amazing and out of this world. Lion king in real life! 7) wet season Don’t necessarily be put off by the idea of hiking in the wet season. Besides from dealing with the rain the benefit is there are not as many people hiking / camping. There were only 5-6 other tourists I saw hiking. Looking at the size of some of the camps I can only imagine how busy the mountain would be in peak season.

I don't know where to start with this review😀. The trip has been amazing and rewarding and felt much longer than the 5 days. From the very beginning I was looked after by some of the warmest and most friendly people you could wish to meet. I was met at my Riad in Marrakesh on the first morning which saved any stress trying to find the meeting point. We saw many things on our way to Merzouga like Dades Gorge and Tinghir which was my favourite. Our guide in Tinghir was such a cool guy. The night in the desert was very special. The guys running our camp were brilliant and the tent was so comfortable plus the sunrise on camel back was something else. And as strange as this might seem, yes we did have Wifi in our desert camp 🤣The journey back from Merzouga to Marrakesh is a full days drive so be prepared for that. Our driver stopped enough times to give your legs a stretch but it's a long day. The most memorable bit for me was the climb up Mt Toubkhal. Ibrahim who was my driver from Marrakesh to Imlil picked me up in Marrakesh and drove me to my Riad in Imlil. He was literally sitting waiting for me in Marrakesh so again no stress at all. Ibrahim met me again after the climb and took me to my hotel back in Marrakesh, even though it was hard to find😀 It was pretty seamless and well organised the whole trip. I have to pay special mention to Hassan who was our guide for Toubkhal. I have rarely met a nicer, kinder human being and he looked after us the whole time. Even when we were a little hungry on the first day up to the Toubkhal Refuge he shared some of his and another guide Jamal's own food to tide us over until dinner. So generous and kind. We got up at 2.30am and climbed Toubkhal the next morning in time to see the sunrise, amazing. We were back in Imlil for lunch, had lunch with Hassan and that was the trip over really. Mustapha who runs Moroccobestvisits was in touch with me every evening via whatsapp to check how the day had been and arrangements for the next morning so again this helped to avoid any stress with arrangements etc. What an amazing country Morocco is and my favourite memory will be how amazing the people are. Genuine, warm and so helpful. Book this trip for memories that will last a lifetime😀

This your is essentially split into two parts - the hike and the desert trip. For the hike, due to Eid, we were not collected when we should have been and no one communicated this to us until we panic messaged through Facebook (would be fine if they had communicated about this with us). The hike itself is amazing!!! The views are beautiful but the climb is brutal. Our guide mostly stayed over 100m ahead of us while hiking which I found odd, especially when the climb and descent is tough and you could easily get hurt. Luckily we didn't!! We were not told the price of crampons/sleeping bags until we were about to leave Imlil at 6am after being told that they were included the day before (I was expecting to pay for these and surprised when they said they were included, so it would be good to know in advance what prices are - they asked for 100dh per set of crampons plus 50dh for the sleeping bag). We also had to go back from Imlil to Marrakech rather than go straight from Imlil to Ait Ben Haddou which meant we had extremely early mornings every day of the tour. The desert tour we joined a great group on a minibus. There is a LOT of driving and mostly only very quick photo stops but the desert is so beautiful and the sunset and rise on the camels is amazing. I think worth three long days driving. The thing most people did not like is that you get no options for lunches - you are taken to a restaurant each day that is not close to anywhere else so you have to pay the high tourist prices for quite average food. The bus driver was a great driver but we were not given much information from him as to stop times or what we would need for the tour. We were taken to a shop for scarves/sunglasses for the desert but they weren't really necessary while we were there as there was no wind and so no sand storms. In short - communication could definitely have been better all round. Things happen eventually but you aren't given much information (e.g. stopping at the side of the road and waiting a while for the car to pick you up for the camels). But this tour is quite an efficient but exhausting way to see amazing places. Just be prepared to be shattered and sore afterwards!!

This was my first multi day hike so I don't have anything to compare it to but I cannot imagine having a better experience anywhere else. Our guide Raul and his Alpaca team of porters and Chef made the entire experience unforgettable. The scenery is simply amazing. The personal touch added by Raul with his extensive knowledge of the people and their traditions as well as everything about the flora and fauna of the area made it all come to life. I am returning from this trip with a new love and respect for the people of the Andes. Machu Picchu was the final destination but the journey there was equally impressive.

What a beautiful trip! Everything went smoothly from beginning to end, the accommodation in Imlil was fantastic and the whole team there made sure all guests were looked after. The organiser, Hamid, was brilliant and very helpful, and our guide Hassan, was fantastic. The trek is very impressive and the views breathtaking. Be prepared for a intense climb, but it's absolutely worth it. So much so I wouldn't mind doing it all again! The refuge at camp base is very basi, but it does the job for the night, some cold showers will certainly keep your muscles ready for the treks 😊. A great experience all in all.

Wow. Where do I start, absolutely mind blowing experience with amazing people from the tour. There was a few ropey moments in marrakech, people trying con you and constantly trying get money in any way they possibly could. That aside the whole experience was incredible. If you decide to book this trip which is extremely recommended, please just beware of the locals in marrakech!!! Not nice people at all

My husband and I are coming up to 55 years old (so older than the average or so we thought) It was tougher than we anticipated because unfortunately the weather wasn't as kind to us despite it being April/May. This was a trip we had been planning for many years and due to several different reasons (including covid) this was our 5th time lucky!! From the minute we were picked up at Kathmandu airport we felt we were in safe hands. Sanjeet was absolutely amazing and nothing was too much for him.... including fishing my mobile out of a toilet (lesson learned!) His knowledge about the history of the Nepal and the trek itself was exemplary. The trek itself tests every sense and requires mental perseverance but with the help of Sanjeet and our assistant guide Ngima (who will make a fantastic guide) They were trained in every eventuality. This trek builds friendships and makes you focus on working as a team in order to succeed. We have definitely made lifelong friends and numerous memories. Its really difficult to put into words the amount of gratitude we would like to.... To Skyhook and Freedom Adventures - THANK YOU <3

Hi Everyone, I had an amazing trip the guides were brilliant the food was perfect and the Atlas Mountains were stunning. I would recommend taking your own Crampons & Walking poles they will come in handy if there is any snow. You can hire some equipment but you can’t beat your own. I look forward to booking a lot more trips with SkyHook, there was 13 in our group and we all reached the summit. If you have any questions send me a message on insta Northern_Explorer_ Thank you for an awesome time.

This trip has been a long time in the coming given the pandemic that hit the world so dramatically, however the trek did not disappoint on ANY level. The trek itself was very challenging on times especially through the dramatic climb at Chola Pass, however given the expertise, guidance and direction of our awesome guide Kanchan who not only controlled our pace, ensured we drank enough water to avoid headaches and fatigue, and monitored and observed our physical performance made it possible for all our group to reach EBC without the onset of altitude sickness (which was a concern for myself). The Trek was amazing each day and offered the most spectacular of views and reaching EBC was extremely emotional. I recommend Skyhook for any adventure you want to undertake, they are professional and hold the welfare of both the participants and that of the support staff at the heart of their package. I can't recommend this company highly enough as it surpassed my expectations.

What an incredible experience. Pictures don't do the views justice. You are frequently surrounded by 360 degree views of mountains. The main guide Kanchan and supporting guide Uttar were amazing. Kanchan was so supportive and encouraging and did everything he could do to make sure the whole group succeeded. He was also very knowledgeable of the names and stats of all the mountains and regions that we hiked through. Uttar was incredible as the supporting guide, he made sure we got everything we needed. It was also amazing to see him complete the route in trainers and tracksuit bottoms. I would highly recommend the route that includes Gokyo Lakes and Cho La Pass as it takes you off the main EBC route on the way up. It is definitely more challenging, but that was what we were looking for, the experience of this route is truly superb.

I for sure will recommend Skyhook to my family and friends for any future travel plans.

Hats off to Skyhook the whole trip was superbly organised from start to finish and for what you pay it is great value for money. Our guide Lahouceine was superb and had the patience of a Saint. The food was also superb along the way. It is worth noting you do need a good level of fitness to complete the hike and unfortunately half of our group of six never made it to the summit. Admittedly the second day of walking is a long one but more than doable providing you are capable of walking up to 10 hours at a steady pace. Thank you Skyhook till the next time.

Reaching the summit was euphoric, but much harder than expected. Thought it was advertised as medium hike? It was especially hard without a guide, our guide left us to concentrate on the slower member. The trip up and down the mountain plus a hike back to Imlil, all on the same day, seemed rushed and very intensive. Maybe an extra day required. Quibbles over equipment costs, not as advertised, spoilt the experience a little. Base camp bunk house mattress spacing very cosy! Take earplugs and don't expect much of the shower/wc facilities.

Fab experience magnificent surroundings and very challenging this is not easy or medium hike was hard and felt a little rushed especially for us slow goers who got affected with the altitude but I wouldn’t Ave missed it for the world, Mohamed was very keen to please, comfortable b&b and let’s say base camp was a tad noisy so take ear plugs but all in all would recommend skyhook and will book with them again. This was an amazing hike, but very challenging. I would say the recommend training in the Q&A section ("jogging or sport 1-2 times a week, in the run-up to your trip") is not enough. You really have to be fit and previous hiking experience definitely helps. Otherwise the pace is ok, with enough breaks to catch your breath :) Would recommend a hammam in Marrakech after the hike :)

Fabulous trip overall. Very concentrated though! The descent to Imlil on Saturday was way too long and is far from only 6 hours in the trip description. It was 6 hours from the refuge down to Imlil, so in total around 10 hours! The trip is not moderate! Fitness level is to be considered. There were 2 full challenging days. Beautiful landscapes and a lot of fun on the way! I totally recommend it!

A great opportunity to experience what Morocco has to offer in a short period of time. While this trek is difficult, every corner turned is another magnificent display of the wonders of the Himalayas. As amazing and beautiful as this trek was, the people, specifically Prem and Ngima (our guides) made this trip unforgettable. I feel like we made lifelong friends on this journey. The best part of the trek was the people you get to know but the perseverance and resiliency that is gained is invaluable. An incredible experience! We had the best time on our Toubkal hike! Mohammed, our trekking guide was amazing! Day one we walked to Toubkal Refuge, stopping for a big lunch on route. We arrived with plenty of time to sit in the sun and enjoy the mountain scenery. Fun to be in the refugue with people from around the world expericing the Atlas Mountains. Day two we were up early and using crampons in the snow! With Mohammed's positivity we were the first at the summit for sunrise! It was hard work but worth it for the incredible views at the top of Toubkal. We were well fed the whole trip with lots of tasty Moroccan dishes!! The hospitality from the whole team was so welcoming, we will return to do a longer hike one day! Thanks to both Mohammeds for the hike & food, and the rest of the team for the warm hospitality in Riad Bab Imlil.
