Absolutely fantastic from start to finish. I have experienced altitude, climbed mountains, trekked through rain forests and jungle. I’ve seen flora and fauna like never before, seen beautiful birds and animals, ground coffee beans, seen many Inca sites including Machu Picchu. My guide Sergio was excellent, full of knowledge and experience and looked after my every need. You get a super chef who provides more food than you can eat every day to a la carte standard.

Fabulous trip with Patrik - a great guide. Very sympathetic to the needs and varied fitness of the group.

This is a fantastic trek but not for the first timer. The route up is not the standard Everest Base Camp trek and is a lot harder. We came down the standard route to Everest and it is a lot easier than the beautiful Gokyo Lakes route on the way up! Our guide Ngima and Kabi the porter were brilliant and totally looked after us all the way. They were well equipped with first kit, oxygen etc if we needed it. (I'm sure we will keep in touch). The trekking part of the trip was approx 16 days, we walked over 100miles through all types of weather, blizzards, rain, thunder and lightening and a 10 second earth tremor(a very long 10seconds). The sun was hot but you needed cold weather clothes for temps around -22C on one morning and sun screen to not get burnt. Tea Huts were welcoming but all cold except for the heater(only after 4pm) in the dining area. No heating in bedrooms, sometimes no electricity or running water anywhere except the kitchen where the food was prepared! I'm sure it was warmer outside than inside some of the time! None of us bothered taking a shower till we got back to Namche Bazaar (14days) which is where wet wipes do a proper job. The food is quite basic but plenty of it in the Tea Houses, I eat like a Yak but still probably lost around 5kg in weight and consider myself to be quite fit. The rewards for all the hardships were amazing views, experiences, emotions, memories which we all had together like a family that will last a lifetime. Thanks to the local travel company Freedom Adventure who work out of Kathmandu and of course to Skyhook who I've used 3 times now without any problems.
Would recommend for people who like a bit more adventure than the standard trips!!!
Travelled on: Everest Base Camp and Gokyo Lakes
It was a super mountain hike with lots of challenges and I wouldn't have expected so much in such limited conditions. Our super tour guide Ngima and his assistant Kabidhan were very professional, caring and helpful, most importantly they were there for us. They did everything to make it comfortable and possible for us to reach our goal. We had become the best team and one family. We have received so many experiences, emotions and memories that it will remain in our hearts for a long time, like the best trip ever.
The conditions were much tougher than I had anticipated. There is an endless winter in the mountains. The teahouses were very cold, essentially as cold as outside (the doors and windows were always open), some of them were dirtier, the last one had no electricity either day or night. So definitely bring a down sleeping bag (-25 degrees). Bring warmer clothes, extra arm and leg warmers for early morning hikes, plenty of wet wipes and hygiene items, as local conditions cannot be taken into account. Also bring plenty of cash or as suggested earlier. But generally you will survive :)
Thanks to the local travel company Freedom Adventure, who organized everything well, always punctual and fast, with pleasant service.
And also a big thanks to Skyhook Adventure for this amazing mountain hike. This is the second time I have used your service and I am very happy that I discovered you. I highly recommend!

My stay at Imlil was very welcoming and food was very nice. Would definitely recommend staying here. Overall the guides were very good and really enjoyed overall.
Travelled on: Mount Toubkal Winter Ascent (4,167m)
Superb trip. Hamid at the accommodation in Imlil was super friendly and attentive. Hassan the guide and Ahmed the porter and cook were a pleasure to travel with. Hassan was especially intuitive regarding giving me space to enjoy the mountain without feeling too crowded but also always there if needed.
I was initially booked for January as I wanted full on winter conditions but had to cancel at the last minute, eventually I managed to go in March, the conditions were still sufficiently challenging for me to feel I achieved something but clearly there was a lot less snow so therefore only really about 3 hours of crampon work to the summit. Temperatures still hit -15C with the windchill but with the right gear thats very manageable. I was very fortunate that on my trip to the summit it was just me and the guide Hassan which made it feel that bit more special, we did not quite reach the summit in time for sunrise but were still in a great spot when the sun broke through and we then had almost 30 minutes on the peak without seeing anyone else. I would highly recommend this trip for anyone who would like to push themselves a bit but doesn't want to do anything too 'crazy' just yet. Skyhooks local partners do a fantastic job from start to finish. One needs to be prepared for some hard graft on summit day and capable of dealing with pretty crowded conditions at the mountain refuge but the food is great and the experience well worth a bit of discomfort here and there ... which is after all part of the adventure.

Amazing 2day course with great instructors and a lot of fun!
Rjukan is a lovely city and the accommodation at the hostel is simple but the coziest! Definitely suggested

An excellent two days ice climbing. Rasmus, Matilde, and Salik were excellent instructors and adapted for the groups abilities. Old School Hostel is in a great location and offers everything that is needed. Highly recommend this trip.

Lahouceine and his team (Mohamed, our cook, Donkey carrying our stuff) for the hike were absolute the best!
They took care of us, adapted to our needs, helped and guided us like no one else!
A must trip to do and Must Guide to have!
Amazing!!!
Travelled on: 5-Days combined Mt Toubkal & Sahara Desert
This was a once in a lifetime trip. The guides, the food, the hike - everything was extremely well organised, fun and nothing was too much to ask for. There were varied levels of experience in my group - but without any fuss I was able to go on ahead with one of the guides on day one and joined a new group on the day 2, which I thought was really thoughtful and kind. The hike itself was beautiful and making the summit was one of the best things I've ever done! I'll never ever forget it!!
Travelled on: Hike Mount Toubkal (4,167m)
One of the best things I’ve ever done! Complete beginner at ice climbing but the guides were amazing and I learnt so much. The lodge was comfortable and cosy, everyone there was really friendly and all the kit provided was great quality. Honestly would love to do it all over again 100 percent recommend!!

Wow absolutely outstanding trip.
From the guide Martin full of local information and great guide for the mountains, also very patient and informed well what we were doing and when. The spa for 2 hours was brilliant and the guest house brought someone in to do private massage at our cost if we wanted which was also brilliant.
Absolutely great guest house with local foods and a stunning room and breakfast

Great experience, exceeding all my expectations. Great guides conscious of the different levels of our group and giving everyone the opportunity to get the most out of the course. I felt in safe hands and learned a lot. The hostel was super cozy with climbers, skiers and other active enthusiasts.
Thanks for an amazing weekend, see you next year! Highest recommendations from me.

Awesome trip, cool guides, nice climbing, and good company. Remember that no meals are included and that you need to bring your own food (can be bought from the local super market) 5/5

Good experience and great trekking but no Toubkal as closed due to amount of snow. This happened 3 days before we arrived and skyhook could have informed us
Travelled on: Hike Mount Toubkal (4,167m)
An amazing experience from start to end. Shushan was readily available to answer all my queries before travelling: I recommend adding the pick up and drop off service.
The first morning I was greeted by Mutaz, and his knowledge, passion and personal touch immediately brought a friendship and he felt like one of the group; if you're lucky to have Mutaz lead your group, you'll have a great time and leave with a friend in Jordan as I have.
We were lucky to have Awdeh and his donkey Marzouka support us along the trek, and along with the Bedouin personnel we were very well looked after, and the food was amazing.
I think 2 things people who read this would appreciate to know: if you want a camel ride book early in Wadi Rum and don't let the local guide rush your experience at Petra, as this is not led by Experience Jordan, however it is included in your experience.
Seeing Petra was a dream of mine, and one made all the more valuable and enjoyable thanks to Mutaz and Experience Jordan adventures; I can't recommend them and this trip enough, thank you.
Travelled on: Jordan Highlights: Dana to Petra Trek, Wadi Rum & The Dead Sea
Hostel is really well resourced and prime location for the best ice climbing spot in Europe. Instructors were excellent, enthusiastic and great teachers. And the climbing, unreal fun.
10/10.
Worth bring a small sleeping bag although they can provide bed linen and food is expensive generally in Norway so budget accordingly. The trip is impossible without hire cars to access the climbing spots and also if possible a return flight on Monday, not Sunday is advisable to manage fatigue. It's about a 3.5-4hour drive with breaks to the airport!
Conditioning your calves and grip strength beforehand will ensure you can squeeze a bit more out of the climbing by having a bit more endurance.
Travelled on: Beginners Ice Climbing
This was an amazing course and the instructors were awesome!! They taught us so much and kept an eye on us the whole time. We got to climb many different routes of varying difficulties and the landscape was second to none. I highly recommend this trip to anyone who wants to learn new skills and have fun ice climbing in the company of knowledgeable and fun people!

Unfortunately a bad snow storm stopped us from even attempting Toubkal and we had to spend the whole time in Imlil just doing day hikes for 3 days. Two of the days were trekking in heavy snow and strong winds so didn't get very far or see much. Obviously beyond anyone's control and safety was put first.
However, whilst nothing can be done about the weather, it didn't feel like we were a priority anymore and our guide for the 3 days did not seem particularly interested in us or the hiking.
Although, the staff at the riad in Imlil looked after us well and Lahouceine made an effort to liaise with us and join us one evening and expressed his disappointment in not being able to take us to Toubkal which was much appreciated.

Do not hesitate to book this trip! What an absolutely fantastic experience. I wouldn’t change a thing. Our guides Edwin, Vincent and Patrick were very professional and made sure our whole group was safe and extremely well taken care of. Edwin was very knowledgeable and ensured all aspects of the trip were explained and day to take made sure we were ready and prepared for what lay ahead. The whole team of porters were just super, we had such a good laugh with everyone and the team spirit was wonderful. A 5 star experience.
Travelled on: Kilimanjaro Machame (6 Day Trek)
Climbing Kilimanjaro via the Machame route was an absolute ultimate adventure. Perfectly organised by the local Ashante tours from the first to the very last minute of our trip to Tanzania.
The guides were amazing and without them we wouldn’t have had the same experience or let alone climb to the top. Couldn’t wish for anything better than this
Travelled on: Kilimanjaro Machame (6 Day Trek)
I loved every minute of it! I was a total beginner to ice climbing, having done 2-3 indoor / outdoor rock climbs in the last 20 years so not as experienced at all.
Apart from the fact that I had to use public transport from the airport which took forever to get me to the hostel, the rest of the trip went like a breeze. I was in touch with Jakob who ensured someone at the hostel was waiting for me as I reached at 11pm to give me a quick tour of the hostel, had my bed ready and kitted me so that I could be out with the others the next morning by 8.25am!
The hostel (should have a name in the front and back) is comfortable, clean, warm and equipped with the right facilities for an ice-climbing adventure. They have dry rooms, spacious kitchen and lounge area and dorm beds with curtains. I arrived solo but the remaining 11 from the group were friendly and quite up for the challenge so we had a great time both climbing and socially back at the hostel.
The instructors Oliver, Saleeka, Matilda and Peter are knowledgeable, respectful, funny and ensure your safety all the time. They do encourage you to try as many climbs as possible. I did a total of 7.5 climbs over the two days of varied levels of difficulty.
The locations are picturesque and enough to get your not-so-adventurous friends wishing they'd join you.
Overall, highly satisfied.
PS: If you're looking to use public transport to get to the hostel, the best way is to do the following:
1. Get to Oslo bus terminal as they have regular airport buses to Gardermoen (40 mins; Flybuss operator) and Torp Sandjford (90-mins; VY operator). Oslo bus terminal is sheltered with apaid-toilets, self-store luggage facilities, cafes, water fountain and airport style bus destination and platform announcements
2. From Oslo bus terminal take VY bus to Notodden bus terminal which has a sheltered waiting room with paid toilets. Roughly 2 hours
3. From Notodden, take bus no 185 to Rjukan (1 hour) and tell the driver to stop at the Old School Hostel. The bus stop is within 30mts of the hostel entrance.
Use the same route to & fro. Do not get off at Lysaker or Drammen as these are outdoor/unsheltered bus stops and you and your baggage will be exposed to the elements as I found out the hard way. It also involves crossing over busy roads to get to the correct bus stop and there are no lifts one side of the road but lots of steps if you are carrying heavy luggage. Stick to main bus stops and you will be fine. It will take 4-5hours depending on traffic and wait times for buses.

Amazing time in the mountains. Imlil is so beautiful and calm. The hike is quite long but really rewarding in the end. Summit view is breathtaking. Way down from the Toubkal summit to Imlil was really hard in the end due to fatigue, and altitude sickness but overall largely doable (watch out for the couple of following days with pain all over the body).
Our guide Hussain was the best, explaining every single bit and leading us really well and calmly. I recommend this trip 100%
Travelled on: Mount Toubkal Winter Ascent (4,167m)
A great trip, organisation was second to none, the guides and muleteers and chef were exceptional. Nothing was too much. Safety was paramount, we didn’t reach Toubkal but the alternative climb’s arranged on the hoof were great. Thoroughly recommended.

A fantastic adventure. Our guide Martin was friendly, informative and welcoming. The accomodation provided is clean, cosy and the food is warming and delicious. The hiking is challenging and nicely varied with steep ascents and sometimes deep snow, but the scenery is beautiful even with the low lying cloud in January. I highly recommend this trip.
Travelled on: Winter Hiking in the Fatra Mountains
This trip was awesome, I would highly recommend it. Martin, our guide, was fantastic, so knowledgeable about the area, and adapted the walks to meet the needs of the group and weather. The guest house was just amazing, family run, so friendly, clean, fantastic jacuzzi and sauna and delicious breakfasts and dinners (big portions and very tasty) I was blown away by the beauty of Slovakia and will definitely book again to visit the area in the summer! Overall 5 star!!

Loved this, very special! Real Iife Frozen. Travelled alone and got bus from central oslo station, very straightforward. Hostel is homely and the kit was very good, almost new. Scenery was stunning. No need to be super fit and up to you how you attack it!
Travelled on: Beginners Ice Climbing
I had a fantastic time on this trip! Ben (guide) made sure every day had a learning outcome and set the right level of challenge, which is perfect for building enough confidence and skill to think about heading out on the ice independently. The accommodation provides an excellent opportunity to meet new, like-minded people and is perfectly suited to climbing trips. I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to build a solid foundation before being an independent ice climber.
Travelled on: Advanced Ice Climbing
Fantastic trip to Rjukan! The ice climbing was fun but challenging. I came with barely any climbing experience and this course was fine for my level.
The host Ben is great and very welcoming. The hostel is cosy and good atmosphere.
I highly recommend booking this trip!
Travelled on: Beginners Ice Climbing
It was a fantastic experience, our guides, Michael and Amos were excellent, always there making sure everyone was ok and ready to help with everything, they made sure the only thing that would stop us from reaching the peak would be something like altitude sickness, if at any point someone needed a bit of help with their day-pack, or climbing a specific part like the barranco wall, they were always there to assist.
The cook did an amazing job, the food was excellent considering where we were, and most important it was a great diet for the climb we had each day.
What can I say about the porters? Amazing guys!
My only but, the one thing that really annoyed me was on our last day in Tanzania, after the climb and after our Tarangire and Ngorongoro safari we received a call from Holyfield via the hotel manager to inform us that we would have to pay $50.00 for our transfer to the airport the next morning, I argued that this was included in the Kilimanjaro booking, but he informed me that as we had booked the safari too, the transfer was not included. This makes absolutely no sense to me, we booked the safari through Skyhook as well as the climb, I think it is a disgrace that you charge for the airport transfer simply because it is on a different day when the change on the date is due to us booking extra activities with yourselves.
Travelled on: Kilimanjaro Machame (6 Day Trek)
Absolutely incredible, hardest thing iv ever done but what an experience. The guides, the porters were all amazing, so helpful, wouldn't have summitted without them. Definitely recommend this trip and that specific group of guides and porters.

It was really fun to learn ice climbing, and to meet everyone else on the course too.

Loves the trip. The guide, Tom, is very experienced and looks out for you. He made sure that each of us are well taken care of, comfortable and confident with our heads, and feels engaged. Tom highlighted many interesting sights and stories along the way which enhanced the experience, learning about the landscape and wild lives around. Highly recommended to someone thinking of exploring the journey to St. Bernard monastery, or simply trying snow shoes hiking for the first time! And the bonus (if you are lucky), to taste some yummy home baked flapjack cakes.

A priceless experience with the best guide in the world
Words cannot describe how special Motaz, (our guide) made this trip.
The trek itself was filled with beautiful landscapes and magical scenery, it’s as if you are transported to another world.
But this 8-day trip was even made more memorable by the hospitality of all the guides, cooks, drivers, and helpers (shoutout to Odeh and his donkey!). Motaz’ genuine love for sharing his knowledge and culture was felt by everyone in the group. I could not have asked for a better guide, teacher and now friend.
When I go home I will take with me the best memories and amazing connections with a group of the kindest people who all share a passion for adventure and beauty.
Jordan has now become one of my favorite countries and I cannot wait to come back!

From arriving at the airport to the transfer back to Marakesh the we experience was very smooth and expertly/ professionally delivered. The food and drinks (tea, orange juice) were amazing - I didn’t expect to eat so much and have so much variety. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. Very colourful and the guides and chefs are with you from the accomodation to the peak of Mount Toubkal so you get to know them well. The Refuge on summit night was clean and fitting for one night at that height. They helped me when I felt nervous and each guide was professional and an expert in his field. Very very happy with everything - thanks you to all involved

A fantastic trip. Experienced guides knew what they were doing. Felt safe at all times. Food was amazing, especially considering they carried it all the way. We were fed like kings. It’s a tough hike given altitude and amount of descent the 2nd day so it’s not for the unprepared. We were fortunate with the weather, it might have been a different experience otherwise. Only minor complaint was the amount of stops on the way up meant I got very cold waiting around, but I understand it’s tricky to have a big group all hike at the same pace. Hand warmers helped.

Totally amazing. The guides were wonderful so supportive and helpful and couldn’t do enough for you both on and off the mountain. I would wholly 100% recommend this trip to anyone as it was an incredible experience. Get fit though. It was hard work!! Especially coming back down the mountain! It was a very very long day! My second trip with Skyhook and totally awesome yet again.

Such an amazing experience - proper local rural economy, everyone so friendly. Our guide Hassan was amazing, with us all the way and helping with crampons up the top, as well as making us amazing meals with the rest of the guides up and down the trail as well as in the refuge. Really tough for us, our first “proper” mountain summit though we are regular walkers and spent some time in the alps earlier in the year, also via Skyhook. Would recommend massively, even for solo or couple travellers it’s an experience never to forget! Food and accommodation provided was amazing and everyone was so hospitable- our first trip to Morroco left a very good first impression.

My trip was absolutely memorable. Rachid the driver was absolutely calm and a relaxed person to be around with. And his boss kept checking in to make sure everything was running smoothly. It was easy and enjoyable the sightseeing and travelling. Unfortunately, I got the flu during my trip with the worst case of it. I have never had it this bad. I was travelling alone with another couple and Rachid the driver. The group was cohesive and easy to be with. Despite being sick I enjoyed my trip very much. I am definitely planning to do it again. I highly recommend going on this trip. It's okay if you are a woman travelling alone, the tour company will accommodate you and you will have the most amazing experience. Oh and riding a camel in the Sahara desert is quite an experience in itself. Its indescribable how awe striking beautiful the desert can be in the different shades of the sun light. And even more stunning the night sky. This is a must do, it is once in a lifetime experience. I give it a 5 star even though I was sick. I still enjoy myself.
Travelled on: Morocco Highlights
Fantastic trip. Got to see all of the main sites of Morocco without the stress of having to organise transport and tours ourselves. Rachid our driver was very accommodating and happy to fit the schedule around us. The majority of our guides over the week were great. Muhammed in Fes was brilliant. I would avoid the Atlas movie studio in ouzazarte if given the choice. Very pushy tour guide who expected to be tipped for a rubbish tour (this had nothing to do with the trip or the organisers but was an optional tour we chose to take ourselves). Overall I would definitely recommend.

Great, well organised trip. Our guide Nurbu and his assistant Ngwang were excellent, catered everything to our needs. Our porters did a great job carrying our luggage.
Travelled on: Everest Base Camp Hike (16 Day Trip)
This was an amazing trip, I had a ball. The trip was well organised and the places we stayed in were just right. It was really good value for money. The food was fantastic, the countryside and people. I met a fellow trekker at the airport and we spent a few hours in Marrakesh before being picked up for the journey to the Atlas Mountains. The only two minor details to prevent it from being perfect were that I think the driver who collected us from a hotel in central Marrakesh should have had some official ID on him, we were a little concerned when he called for us. Also, our mountain guide was a little uninterested in us. He was continually in a hurry and seemed a bit too interested in getting us to and from our destination. I felt that he was just doing his job, I would have liked a bit more information about the area and the mountains. He was a good guide and very efficient, it just seems his heart wasn´t in it. The trek was very demanding, but absolutely amazing.

Thank you very much for our amazing adventure. We were wowed by the views, nature, food and kindness of everyone we met. We had an excellent guide, helping us to reach the summit in tricky conditions when other groups had to turn around.
Travelled on: Hike Mount Toubkal (4,167m)
Superb trip, climbing Mount Toubkal felt like a real achievement in blizzard-like conditions. It is testament to the great skill and commitment of our guides, Mohmed in particular, that we were able to achieve our goal.
The welcome in the family home, the excellent food, the friendliness and support of the local population were all outstanding features of the trip as well as the great mountain scenery. I am told the view on top, over the Sahara, is amazing!

Amazing and very enjoyable experience. It was well organised, the guides and muleteers were execellent especially Mohmed he welcome us to his family home, the chef always serves us a delicious meal. Excellent hospitally at Riad Bad Imlil , a very warm welcome and makes us feel at home. Thank you for looking after the entire group throughout. Had a brilliant group and guide and we made us to the summit in bad weather condition great achievement and worth the climb.

Absolutely fantastic trip and the weather was reasonably kind to us for this time of year. We were a small group of only six including the guide which I think made it a bit more intimate and encouraged everyone to help each other out. Our guide Emy was superb in her knowledge and patience with all of us and I know everyone enjoyed the trip. I would definitely consider doing this again and could not recommend this trip and Scotish Rock and Water enough. Loved it!
Travelled on: Canoe & Wild Camp Across Scotland
Awesome trip.
Freedom Adventures was excellent - knowledgeable and kind guides. Really the experience of a lifetime. Couple of bits of feedback:
* Walking poles and a warm sleeping bag are essential. Plastic shoes for showers helpful.
* Food is expensive and I would say you need $600 dollars or more for the trip, plus tips and spending money.
Overall - epic.
Travelled on: Everest Base Camp Hike (16 Day Trip)
Amazing trip with amazing guides from the airport to Everest Base Camp back to Kathmandu. Our guide Dakman and his assistant Ganga were amazing. Weather affected our flight out of Rammechap but rather than go to an alternative itineray like so many others did, Dakman came up with a plan that ensured we made it to basecamp. Can't recommend it enough.
Travelled on: Everest Base Camp Hike (16 Day Trip)
What an experience! Firstly our guide Rob was fucking fantastic..he knows the mountains so well, plenty of experience&Such a lovely down to earth man!Darren our driver was just as nice&got us to each mountain safely&efficiently. As for the trip itself, this isn’t for the faint hearted. I booked this around 2 weeks before doing it with no experience of mountain terrain, no training&i never wore my new boots in.. I’m a big gym goer and kept up with Rob well but the boots killed my ankles. The walking pace is strong&quick obviously to be able to complete the 3 peaks in 24 hours. Ben Nevis, fab, Scaffel Pike in the night is tough so make sure your concentrating. Snowdon, we managed to get to the ridgeway but we turned back round as winds were hitting around 60mph the further we were climbing. Shame but absolutely over the moon that Rob put our safety first&we got down.
For me this was a personal challenge, my mindset was and is, you never give up. I proved to myself that with a strong positive mindset you can overcome pretty much anything you want too☺️
Thankyou sooo so much to Simon At Mountaineering for answering all my questions the week before.
Thankyou to the team I had as well, I couldn’t have had a better experience xxx
Travelled on: National 3 Peaks Challenge (24 Hours)
The 3 peaks is a tough challenge. You need to be able to walk up hills at a quick pace. That said it was well organised with an experienced mountain leader who really knew the mountains, terrain and timings well. The bus drivers were both great. The 3 peaks is worth doing but don't go into without knowing it's tough and you've got to talk fast!

Excellent experience from start to finish. Hussain & his team were professional and offered support, advice and encouragement throughout the trek and subsequent adventures. Would 100% recommend.

An amazing day away from the busy streets of Marrakesh. Our guides were amazing people, very knowledgeable and accommodating. The views from the Atlas mountains were breathtaking, the food was amazing, and the camels were very friendly. Our guide even took us to a local Berber market which was very different to the markets you can walk through in Marrakesh. Would recommend this day trip to anyone.

Absolutely amazing 5 star trip. Omar worked tirelessly to ensure everything was perfect and ensured I had a fantastic trip. His mum makes a first class breakfast and the food throughout the experience was exceptional. This trip is an absolute must do.

Our trip was fantastic and well planned by all involved. The team at Riad Bab Imil were brilliant including Hussain. Our mountain guide Rdouane was great in supporting our team and getting everyone to the summit as well as passing off his local knowledge of the mountains and the area. I would happily recommend this trip and everyone involved to other groups and people.
Travelled on: Hike Mount Toubkal (4,167m)
Completed the challenge last weekend and can honestly say it was one of the toughest things I have ever done. As a team we summited 2 of the 3 Peaks and were close with the 3rd which was a fabulous effort. Have to hand it to our Guide (Rob) who was very professional throughout and guided us through the challenges encountered on different parts of the course. The 2 drivers were very good and were witty too. The one downside was the Hotel, I think this should be of a bit higher standard really? Although for 1 night, it might be argued that quality doesn't matter. All in all good memories.
Travelled on: National 3 Peaks Challenge (24 Hours)
Excellent trip in all respect. Had an experienced and skilled guide (Hassan) who managed our pace perfectly, pushed when needed and held us back where appropriate and was always calm and relaxed even in the difficult conditions we had on Toubkal (snow, cold and windy).
Atlas Vertical is flexible enough in their plan/schedule that when a change in conditions at Refuge forced a change in the accommodation plan it was managed fairly well in rather difficult circumstances and the acclimatization day is shaped to the client as needed. I recommend taking the equipment list on Skyhooks website seriously, especially if going in late summer or fall as conditions can be almost winterlike if unlucky with the weather.
The Kasbah is perhaps not luxurious but quite nice (recommend the hamman) and Riad Nisma in Marrakesh is very good.
Travelled on: Luxury Mt Toubkal (4,167m)
The trip was really good! Tons to do, a lot of good food and the tour guide was really nice.
I totally recommend.
My only advice for the tour people is to be a bit more clear of what we need to take with us on each day based on what we will do.
Travelled on: Hike, Packraft and Snorkel
Great trip definitely recommended for everybody. We had the chance to discover the High Atlas and the desert area with great guides, organization and value for money. Even in a short period of time it gets you into a travelling mood with memories that will last forever!!
Travelled on: 5 Days Toubkal and Sahara Desert Tour
Had a fantastic time on this trip ...starting with the climb up to toubkal mountain with our very experienced mountain guide Rashid who would do anything for you to make our trip comfortable and enjoyable......we stayed in the chez hafid house after our trip in Imlil village where we was greeted by Saeed who made our stay very comfortable and our evening meal was the best tagine i had in Morocco!!....we then made our way to the Sahara desert with our driver/tour guide Aziz who was extremely knowledgeable on the surrounding areas we visited on route to the desert, he went beyond the extra mile to make our trip as comfortable and a experience I shall never forget in a long time to come....I highly recommend this 5 day trip !!!!
Travelled on: 5 Days Toubkal and Sahara Desert Tour
Having just returned from my trip, I can’t thank Hussain and his team enough for making the experience so awesome and unforgettable. From the moment I arrived in Marrakesh the communication from Hussain was excellent, with him ensuring I was fully aware of the arrangements for my transport to Imlil, and then with regards to the plans for my trek.
I would certainly recommend the luxury trip if you’re in a position to choose this option, with Kasbah du Toubkal being a beautiful venue to relax and to prepare for the adventure. Additionally, the private room at the refuge was really welcomed, with it giving me privacy to relax and I didn’t have to worry about being disturbed by the other travellers during the night.
I have to give a special thanks to my guide, Hassan. Hassan was extremely accommodating throughout the trek, and he always appeared keen to share his knowledge about the landscape and the local culture. He was also very considerate to my well-being, routinely checking whether the pace was ok, and he offered encouragement when the hike was challenging.
I will forever remember the trip and I’m hoping to plan a further adventure with Skyhook in 2023.

This was such a lovely trip! Accommodation was in a stunning location right by the water. Dan our guide really took care of us all and made us feel very welcome and safe while entertaining us with lots of tales of norwegian folklore. There was a good balance of activity and downtime and the pace adjusted to the level of the group so no-one was left struggling to keep up. A really great experience that I would thoroughly recommend :)

Absolutely amazing trip. An unforgettable few days spent kayaking and hiking leaving one wanting the trip to last longer. Thoroughly recommend this trip to anyone considering it. Don’t worry if you aren’t experienced in a Kayak, they really looked after all of us.
Travelled on: Hike & Kayak the Norwegian Fjords (Hut Edition)
It was my first solo trip and I must say the experience has been amazing, to say the least. Nordic Paddling and especially our guide Dan made it completely seamless. Dan is an asset to the company and I must compliment him for his amazing technical knowledge, stories, friendliness, warmth, and hospitality (especially his cooking skills). He made sure everyone in the group was comfortable and had a great time on the tour. Especially on the hike, he made sure that everyone was safe and also took the group climbing above pulpit rock which was an exhilarating experience. The highlight of the tour for me was the Night Paddling under the stars which made the trip something really special. I think both Skyhook and the Nordic Paddling team for this excellent trip.
Travelled on: Hike & Kayak the Norwegian Fjords (Hut Edition)
I had an excellent time on the trip with my wonderful guide, Omar.
I was travelling on my own, and felt very safe, welcomed and well looked after for the whole trip.
The first day was tough - I always thought I was reasonably fit, but hiking in the Peak District was nowhere near this; our first ascent up the Tizi Mzik pass was a good 2 or so hours climb up from Imlil to the top (just over 700m ascent). At the top we stopped for a drink at the cafe (the fresh orange juice is a must on a hot day!) and then for lunch slightly further down the valley.
A few more hours of hiking downhill and we came into the village of Azzaden where we stayed overnight.
Accommodation is basic but comfortable - we stayed at the Gete Anfa Idâissa; there’s wifi, hot water, etc.
Amazing hearing the sunset prayers echoing through the valley.
The following day we set off about 9:30am after breakfast, prepared by our cook. Then set off on a slightly easier route, back into the Imlil valley - although we didn’t go back to Imlil. We instead went to a picnic spot just off the main road into Imlil (from Asni) near the river, where we had lunch (again prepared by our cook) and finally my ride back to Marrakech.
I had a wonderful 2 days; Omar was lovely and so helpful and patient - especially given my knee started to be a problem at the end of the first day and he had to walk backwards down the mountain to make sure I got down safely. I can’t wait to come back again - it was an absolute pleasure.

What a fantastic trip! It definitely exceeded my expectations in every way. My favourite part was of course the camel ride and the overnight stay in the Sahara desert - out of this world experience! I would recommend the trip to everyone. I travelled alone, but met lots of lovely people throughout the whole trip.

This is not really a review of the trip but an advice. If you are not a very high efficient sport person, don't try this with this company, look for other options.
I think one can underestimate the 24 hours claim. I marked three on the raiting because I believe this can be more clear in the descrption of the trip.

To start, SIMPLY AMAZING!!! This was my wife and I's second Skyhook Adventure and like the first, it did not disappoint! Previously we had done Everest Base Camp which was epic. So naturally we compared. While each were very different there were also many similarities. The primary similarity being just awesome lifelong memories! Our first takeaway was that we thought the first two days of the Salkantay Trek were more difficult than any two consecutive days for Everest Base Camp. Those first two days had a lot of km's / miles with significant elevation changes. Three from our group had to bite the bullet and get a horse to get up the mountain and we saw many others from other groups getting horses too. Mostly folks who had not prepared for that type of physical exertion. With that said, Everest Base Camp was overall much more challenging. Humantay Lake as well as Salkantay Pass were each exceptional. Many great pictures. One incredible highlight was the impeccable expertise and service of the local Alpaca Expeditions Team and Guides! Wow! Their knowledge and focus on creating the best experience for everyone was second to none. Awesome awesome awseome jobs by our "Generals & Professors" Ivan Ccorahua and Carlos Rayme! WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS! And when they say you have a chef.... well, you get a chef and three sous chefs making you three incredibly delicious meals every day in the field. Including baking a delicious vanilla cinnamon cake in the middle of nowhere!!! Who does that?!? And it isn't just the quality of the food, it is the attention to detail and care they also put into every meal presentation. Each morning our guide and a sous chef wake you up with a knock and hot coca tea! :-) Can't not include a mention of the very diverse make-up of our group nationalities; Peruvians, United States, Puerto Rico, Ireland, Australia, and England. That mix made it even more enjoyable and international. The overall itinerary was very accurate and probably somewhat understated at how amazing it all was. Finally, the breathtaking final day conclusion at Machu Picchu!!! Words alone can't describe the experience, the historical teaching from the guides and the pictures that will last a lifetime. We saw with our own eyes why this was named one of the new seven wonders of the world!!! Overall, a fantastic five-star experience! Prepare yourself properly with fitness, cardio and weight training and to deal with the altitude (talk with your physician). Do that and your experience will give you lifelong memories that keep giving back dividends for years to come! Logistically, plan for a couple days either side to enjoy Lima. STAY IN THE MIRAFLORES AREA. Make sure you try the Ceviche! We recommend La Mar in Lima! We would also recommend arriving at Cusco a few days early to acclimate to the altitude. The added bonus is that there is so much to see and do right in Cusco with great restaurants, etc. We recommend Organika at Ataud 154, Cusco 08000. Conclude all this with a recommendation to use the "Quick Lllama" Shuttle service from and to the Lima Airport. Reserve online. Fast, clean, reliable, great Whats App communication and only 20 Soles one way per person. That's like $6 US. Also recommend LATAM Airlines for flights to and from Cusco. Many flights daily and more reliable, etc. Enjoy and book your adventure now! DREAM BIG! NEVER QUIT! ----Kirk & Simone

It was absolutely wonderful, the views, the walks, we had a really nice group and a wonderful guide Léa. I sometimes would have loved to walk longer and higher, I thought the trek would be more challenging, but this is just a personal observation. We stayed in nice places, important not to forget earplugs since you might have to share bedroom with a heavy snorer :-). In the first and third place food was great. In the second place we had to ask for more as we where really hungry after a long day of hiking, and it wasn’t appreciated that we asked for more. Their picnic for the following day (a rice salad) was basically impossible to eat for all of us. It definitely was not worth the price. But even that didnˋt minimise the total pleasure and happiness this trip gave me!
All in all perfect and once again a big thank you to our guide Léa.

Travelled on: Tour du Mont Blanc Highlights
Pros:
- Our guide Lea was excellent, funny and knowledgeable
- Amazing views
- Truly once in a lifetime experience
- Group dynamics was amazing
Cons:
- Accommodations were very basic and I did not understand when I booked the trip there would be no options for private rooms but all sleep in dorms. This can be an issue if somebody is snoring (and usually always somebody is).
- The hike overall was a bit more demanding than expected
- The food in the lodges was very basic and not very good in all of them

Fantastic trip, we loved every minute and felt everything was very well organised. Very impressed with the guide, activities and choice and quality of the food especially considering it was all cooked on the camping stove or fire. The only improvement that could have been made was that we stayed at the voss youth hostel the night before and had a 15 minute walk with all our luggage to our pick up point while others who booked with a different company got picked up at the hostel which would have been easier. But overall I would highly recommend, an excellent trip.

Hi,
Everything was excellent. Johnson is excellent guide with good humor and knowledge of Kilimanjaro and local customs. I think the only thing what you should do is to highlight that this itinerary is actually on a harder side and not for everyone. We managed (I even developed something with the stomach on a 3rd day which made it further worse) and all three in our group summited but it was quite hard (and even “3 days of jogging” might not cut it for everyone :)). Hotels (both the initial one and extra days) were also good (the extra nights one is especially good.

Tour operator and the guide were incompetent. They don’t have any idea how to deal with different types of hikers like beginners, intermediate or expert. Guide misleaded other guests against any particular guest. He was rude and non considerate and threatened repeatedly by his boss. It seemed like Mountaineerin wants money without providing any service.
Travelled on: National 3 Peaks Challenge (24 Hours)
A hard challenge but Rob our very experienced guide worked hard to keep everyone motivated and on target to complete within the 24 hours. Rob had a very relaxed and friendly approach which put the group at ease. He clearly explained the necessary kit prep and logistics for each leg of the challenge and constantly informed us on timings every step of the way. Very patient and humorous and very good at keeping the team together as we made our way up and down the mountains.
Our driver Darren was equally excellent and experienced with the tight schedules needed in order to complete within the 24 hours.

Many, many thanks to our guide Rob and drivers Darren and Colin. Amazing 🙌 Everyone is committed to completing the 24hr challenge and supporting the group to the max. The going is tough and the pace brutal, but that is what is required for success. Was also impressed with the networking from all the guides - special mention for Darren - and the camaraderie on the Peaks. Good memories made!

When you read the other reviews and they say the quality of the logistics was faultless, they are absolutely spot on. I did the trip solo and made some incredible friends in just two days. Take a head torch! Probably the most important item to pack. There’s plenty of food and water and Haribo was the savior so bring sweets to keep the spirits high. By the end of the second day, I don’t think my legs or feet had ever felt so tired but what a rush getting to the summit in time for sunrise. You feel like you’re sitting on top of the world. It was hard, I mean really hard, climbing big boulders in the dark trying to follow your team in front, maintaining a pace that was out of my comfort zone. So if you are fit then yes it is an amazing hike. If you are kind of fit then you will find it very hard indeed. Overall, an incredible experience
Travelled on: Hike Mount Toubkal (4,167m)
A great adventure which is well organized however you need to be prepared unlike what is described on the website. It's trekking up and down mountains with inclines from 700m - 1200m which is not as easy. The 2/5 difficulty rating is misleading. If you do regular physical activity you will manage but having to really push throughout.

An amazing adventure! Totally suitable for beginners. Our guide, Lizzie, was particularly good - very skillful and knowledgeable. Excellent organisation. The only thing to mention is that the Web content could be a little misleading. Your tents aren't put up for you and aren't yurt/teepee types as shown on the pictures. Whilst this was absolutely fine for our group, others may be disappointed. The wild campsites were great and the stop off in Fort Augustus for a bit of civilisation I.e..chips and ice cream, was great Would reccomend.

Would recommend booking this tour, as it was efficiently ran, good value for money, with a chance to experience the local cuisine in huge portions.

This trip was absolutely first class. Lahouceine and his team at Atlas Vertical really put the effort in to make sure we were looked after, comfortable and well fed. The guides, cooks and porters all do an incredible job and work long hours to look after you and do everything they can to make sure you are safe and complete the trek.
Thanks to Lahouceine and his team for what really was a trip of a lifetime.

This was my first 4K+ mountain and everything that the guides/hosts done to accommodate that was first class. The guides were very friendly, accommodating and professional. We didn’t speak directly with porters/chefs until the end but the food was quality (also in high volume, superb) and they ran everything as clockwork. You never felt unsure on next steps/arrival times which is great when you are focussed on climbing.
The group was a mixed bag of experience, were super supportive of each other and always had warm smiles. A great bunch and I’d love to meet again on a future adventure!

I had an amazing time on the trip - it was well organised, the guides were excellent, very knowledgable, helpful and accommodating. The food was good. I felt well looked after. We made it to the top of the mountain by sunrise, and the views were mesmerising. I would recommend Skyhook to anyone who is looking to climb Toubkal - its a good value for money and takes the pressure off having to prepare meals and accommodation for 2-3 days!

Extremely well organised tour, and fabulous value for money. If anyone is looking to test themselves at altitude this is definitely the perfect trip. You get very well looked after in terms of the guides being highly professional, and the quality of food that is provided throughout the trip. Also, the views are immense.

I honestly can’t rate skyhook adventures enough for this epic 4 day guided tour. Would like to thank the whole team especially my hero Omar who helped me through in through out.. top to bottom and didn’t give up on me even when I was at my lowest. Would definitely use skyhook adventures again for future trips and would highly recommend them.

What a fantastic holiday! It was great to get to know everybody on the trip and we enjoyed good conversation during the day and a lot of laughs in the evenings. Christel, our guide, was inspirational and made sure everyone was included and had a great time. We are all looking forward to booking a trip next year!

Absolutely epic trip! Well organised with an amazing guide Christel (aka Mrs Bear Grills) and special group of likeminded people coming together created an absolute magic, memories for lifetime. Couldn’t recommend Alps Adventures enough.

Just back from a fantastic 4 day hike in the Alps and could not recommend it highly enough. Crystal was a superb guide and kept us informed on the trail, the views and the fauna along the way. I was lucky enough to join a super group of people and shared so many stories and laughs along the way that you forgot about the incline! Definitely will sign up for another hike with Alps Adventures in the future.

This was my first 4 days consecutive hike and I started getting prepared for it a year in advance with weekly hikes carryibg a 7 kg backpack . I was usually at the end of the hike but I never felt like left out or the pace was too exhausting, Our guide , Crystal was a great leader who was always there for us , caring , knowledgeable and sincere . The lodgement facilities get better everyday . Everyday was intense but a lot of fun in nature .Coming back home was not easy , felt like everywhere is concrete and automated . Beautiful experience with a lot of satisfaction . AlpAdventures is the local company which had a seamless organisation; highly recommend it.

It was a wonderful, unforgettable, well-planned, and executed walk by Alps Adventures. Our guide Christal was such a lovely person, a highly professional guide with so much experience and knowledge.
This was my first time doing this kind of walk in the mountains, did not know if I could handle the climbing with backpacks. However, Christal made such a good pace and took such good care of each of us that I felt always safe and strong. She is also such an interesting person and our beautiful talks during the walk will always stay warm in my memories.
The group was amazing, connecting lovely people from around the globe. We had so much fun in addition to accomplishing this challenging yet so much fulfilling walk.
The refuges are simple as expected, a bit difficult for sleep and shower&toilet for someone doing it for the first time. I am sure people get used to it, especially if you know what to expect.
The routes were well planned, the breaks were right on time! We learned so much from Christal about the history, nature and culture of the tour.
I am looking forward to working with her again and booking for next year again from Alps Adventures for sure!

I had such a fantastic time.
Heidi, our guide, was lovely. She gave us freedom to be ourselves while keeping us safe and guiding us gently at all times. I would happily jump on another trip knowing she was our guide.
Our group was very mixed in experience to kayaking and camping but everyone looked out for each other and made the whole journey a great laugh and a real treat.
I would encourage anyone thinking about taking this trip to jump in and go for it.
Travelled on: Hike, Kayak and Wild Camp the Norwegian Fjords
Fabulous trip from start to finish, thanks particularly to our guide Heidi, and the friendly group I was part of. Even though I’m a novice at kayaking we successfully crossed the fjord which was stunning. Evening meals were tasty and nutritious at our camping spot and there was loads of chocolate going round during the day to keep up our energy. We had a fun wild swim and a couple of intermediate level hikes to get amazing views high up over the fjord. A really well organised trip, thank you.

Absolutely brilliant. Extremely well organised from start to finish. Amazing scenery. Heidi (our guide) was absolutely wonderful. She was very friendly and knowledgeable. Loved the fjords, local chocolate - just had an amazing trip.

Amazing trip perfect location and well organised. Our guide Heidi made us all very welcome and looked after us all extremely well. We were not experienced kayakers but felt at ease and would have no hesitation in recommending this trip to anyone.

Great guide, great route, great group, shame about the clouds! Awesome experience end to end minus some of the worst snoring I have heard 😂.

Fantastic trip! Very we organised from start to finish, Lea was our guide throughout our trip, she was brilliant! Very informative and supportive.
Can’t wait for the next one.

Over all is was a great trip. Great group of people and great views. 1 day in Italy, 2.5 days in Switzerland, 1/2 day in France.
I knocked down the star rating due to the guide, she was very uninformative. I could say a lot more about her but I'm not going too.
I am vegan and I was told before the trip I would have been totally accommodated. This was not the case. There was only soya milk for breakfast on the last morning.
Just a word of warning, lunches a very expensive and you don't get very much. If you can bring 3 pack lunches then do.

I would recommend this trip to anyone. Pur guide Lea was brilliant. She was kind, patient, looked after all of us, especially my mum who struggled a bit at times with the heat and the altitude. The huts were great, Lea organised our Lunches and explained what the day would hold each evening before. Her knowledge of the mountains is incredible.
The tour itself takes you through some of the most beautiful scenery of mountains and forest with great views of Mont Blanc all round. Its hard work with long steep trails climbing up as the tour tells you when you book on but it's so worth it. Wouldn't recommend if your cardio is poor but it was the best thing I've ever done and I will definitely be doing another!!

Absolutely fantastic! Great route capturing all the beauty of the mountains. Such a fab group and led by a lovely guide. Such an awesome experience!

This was one of the best things I have ever done! Amazing scenery and views at every turn! We had the most fantastic guide in Sandy who had such vast knowledge of the mountains. It was definitely a physical and mental challenge - more so than anticipated - but one that was so rewarding. I would do it again with a second thought!

OMG what a trip!! Hardest yet most rewarding trip. Sandy our guide was amazing. We even sang he’s a hero !! Thank you so much. Food in each place was what was needed and every stop was memorable. Thank you.

An amazing trip organised by an experienced friendly company- Alps Adventures. The communication was superb, from both Tom & Louise when a bit of additional help was needed.
The itinerary was challenging and varied. To reach these places on foot was both rewarding and spectacular.

Fantastic experience. My 1st time doing something like this and I thoroughly enjoyed it and was made all the better by our amazing guide Jordan. Not only was he friendly, helpful & supportive but also astonishingly knowledgeable. It seemed like every 500 metres we covered Jordan had another fact for us. What an absolute asset to the team he is. Thanks a lot Jordan & the team @ Nordic Ventures for a wonderful time. I’m sure I’ll be back! :)

Excellent trip. Very well organised, great guide. We were fortunate with the weather and had sunny days kayaking. Long walk but manageable with amazing views.

Wow !! What can I say, apart from epic from start to finish. I think we may have under estimated how physical this was going to be, however worth every single bead of sweat to summit at sunrise.
Thank you too all the staff for getting us there

If want to spend hours at the shops or eat and sleep and sleep at fancy places this is not a trip for you. If you want to have a nice experience of real Morocco and see as much as possible in just 7 days this is the ideal trip. Everything worked fine with the guides and the tour. Have necessarily cash for tips with you and be prepared to eat the same dishes again and again (its a general moroccan thing). September in Morocco was very warm for europeans, 35-40 celcius.

I went on this trip with 3 friends and all of us couldn't recommend highly enough. The trip was extremely well organized, the views were absolutely stunning, the group really friendly and fun and our guide Paddy Morris was absolutely excellent. Paddy and the group made the trip an unforgettable experience. We would all rate the trip 5 stars!

Just arrived back in Chamonix after an absolutely wonderful few days on the Tour du Mont Blanc highlights trip. The organisation was seamless, the views absolutely breathtaking, the walking challenging but not so challenging as to spoil the enjoyment. Our group were brilliant, all great fun and really lovely people. A special mention has to go to our Alps Adventures guide, Paddy. He was just superb, with endless patience, fantastic sense of humour, someone who clearly loved his job. Definitely 11/10!
I’m now planning my next adventure. Matterhorn anyone?
