Absolutely loved it! One of the best experiences of my life! I did the 4 day TMB highlights trip in June 2026. Tracey and Sally were excellent, supportive, fun and interesting guides. The hiking was challenging but rewarding with epic, breathtaking views. The mountain huts were magical communal experiences with perfectly framed views out the windows. Our group had a great team spirit and I had so many laughs aswell as being inspired and supported.

An opportunity of a lifetime… truly what dreams are made of. Four unforgettable days hiking the Tour du Mont Blanc through Italy, Switzerland and France with @alpsadventures.ch 🇮🇹🇨🇭🇫🇷 My very first solo adventure—and I don’t think I could have chosen a more incredible way to do it. From the moment it started, it felt special. Guided by the most inspiring mother and daughter duo (@sally.climbs.mountains) , whose bond and energy set the tone for everything that followed. There was so much laughter, so many shared moments, and a group of strangers who quickly became friends. Life in the mountain huts, long days on the trails, pushing through tough climbs, and then stopping to take in views that honestly didn’t feel real. Every step challenged me, but every step was worth it. This trip gave me more than just beautiful memories—it gave me confidence, connection, and a reminder of what I’m capable of. Sometimes the best decisions are the ones that scare you a little… And this one changed everything 🤍

What a fantastic trip! I was a bit apprehensive as a solo traveller, especially when I found out that I was the only person booked on the trip!! I was instantly made to feel welcome when I was collected at the airport and taken to Imlil. The riad was cosy, with plenty of food and great location to explore the village. My guide was Mr Lahcen who was fantastic. Very welcoming and so easy to talk with (great English). He shared his knowledge and expertise. We managed to get to Base camp quite quickly, so he suggested pushing on to the summit in one day! It was exhausting but his motivation and confidence he got us there. Once back at base camp food was plentiful but sleep was terrible due to groups getting up at different times to summit. I.e. 2am,3am and sleeping arrangements being on shared sleeping platforms. It sort of makes part of the experience but it’s not fun. The whole return to Imlil and subsequent trip back to Marrakech were great. Mr Lahcen was an excellent host and guide, who made every effort to ensure I had a fun, safe and memorable trip. I would certainly recommend the trip but emphasise that Toubkal is challenging. An amazing sense of achievement once completed. The people of Imlil are very welcoming and it’s worth taking time to explore. I added a day in Marrakech which I would recommend rather than fly back home!!

Amazing trip. Right from the start it was well organised and I felt safe and reassured. If you’re looking for an authentic ‘no frills’ hiking trip, with breath taking views of the Mont Blanc region, which will leave you simply speechless then this is for you. if you want challenging hikes which will test you and great banter along the way. then this is for you. Already looking for my next hiking adventure !

The most wonderful 4 days of walking. Alps Adventures and our 3 incredible guides - Grigor, Charles and Matt - made this an unforgettable journey through Italy, France and Switzerland. I felt safe, free and completely in the moment throughout. The mountains are spectacular, we had wonderful weather and all our stops were stunning- especially the last lunch. Absolutely fabulous. Thank you all.

A thoroughly enjoyable trip which is let down by the accommodation situation at the end of day 1. To attempt to get any sleep in a room containing more than 30 personnel, all from different nationalities is impossible. A 0330hrs start and 14 hour trek with no sleep is not good. If the accommodation issue and trek time for day 2 could be resolved then this would make the trek a much more enjoyable experience. Also the differing fitness levels of individuals within the group made it difficult for the guides to maintain control. Some sort of fitness vetting should be incorporated (if possible) in an attempt to ensure that the majority of the group are not held up by less fit individuals. Either that or ensure sufficient information is provided so that people prepare properly to prevent failure and frustrating other group members. The guides coped very well with a difficult group so a big thank you to them both.

The four day was an adventurous experience I will not forget, the scenery were awesome although the weather was miserable few days. The last day was dry and sunny and made the experience alot nicer. The assistant staff were helpful and friendly. Sadly I was very disappointed that we didn't reach the last point at Inverness as per holiday advertisement, which was last point of the trip. It was an expensive trip, my expectations were not met. The leader in my opinion didn't have best interpersonal skills.

Great trip ably looked after by our guides. Wonderful experience although we were disappointed not to be able to complete the full traverse because of the weather. Its not 5 stars because the sleep mats were not great, mine deflated after 10mins and the spare one deflated after 3hrs.

Really got lucky with the group, tour was great, amazing scenery and pace of hike was really well planned. Only downfall was that the food included is pretty basic but the lunches you pay for independently were fantastic! Accommodation sucks, no option given to upgrade to private rooms, felt like camp America for teenagers. Really turn off.

Reply by AlpsAdventures:
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re really glad to hear you had such a great group, enjoyed the scenery, and felt the pace of the hike was well planned, that’s wonderful to hear. We’re sorry that the accommodation didn’t meet your expectations. The mountain huts are independently managed, shared alpine facilities and private room upgrades aren’t available on this itinerary. We do try to make this clear in the trip information, as these remote mountain environments come with certain fixed limitations. Similarly, the food provided in the huts is prepared locally within the constraints of what’s available in these remote locations, and is generally kept quite simple. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the lunches you picked up independently along the way, though. Thanks again for your honest feedback — it’s really appreciated and helps us continue refining how we communicate what to expect on these types of adventures.

A great trip especially when the weather improved! From start to finish the trip ran smoothly with the group knowing the plans for the day and our guide Turu (sorry probably got spelling wrong!) was excellent. Accommodation at cabin comfortable and 2 nights in a tent wild csmping was as expected. There was a kitchen area and toilet zone. Hot and plentiful food and lots of snacks. Kayaking was just the right pace for a novice and my skills improved. The walk to Pulpit Rock was a highlight although the first 1km was a challenge - but so worth it! The 4 others on the group were fun and although I was much older (63 but pretty fit) we all got on well. This was helped by sharing tasks, chats about life and all being there for the right reasons - great sceanery and loving being out doors. Two unmentioned highlights was learning to fish in the fjord and the drive through the longest tunnel back to tje airport. An unplanned highlight was seeing a rescue holicopter team rescue someone right on front of us - very exciting! I would definitely recommend this trip.

This was a wonderful experience with an excellent guide in Laura. The group came together not knowing one another but we quickly gelled and had a marvellous few days together in which I am sure we all learned a great deal about one another and ourselves. What a great 5 days, hard work sometimes as we had a lot of rain but worth it. Camping in the wild was great, back to nature. Downsides, Portages, getting boats in and out and moving along lock was hard work. Our guides were great and cooked lovely meals although the lunchtime snacks could have been better, a wrap with a few slices of salami was not enough for the work we were doing. All in all a great experience 👍

I booked this trip as I liked the idea of going from loch to river to sea and was no disappointed. Starting at the majestic Loch Shiel, imposing hills funnel you down an epic landscape, then down the more intimate picturesque river, opening out into wide panoramic views at castle Tioram. Navigating out into the sea loch, where you realise silence has a sound and it is breathtaking. Around the last bend and you are presented by a view out to sea, the isle of Rum neatly framed. The shy otter eluded us, but we saw plenty circling birds of prey and going out to sea hundreds of moon jellyfish streamed past. Our guides where amazing, Chucky with his endless energy, incredible knowledge and interesting facts, the lovely Liz, a steady presence, her guidance on canoeing invaluable. Together they made a dynamic team. The group size was sociable, with enough scope for self reflection and you time. By the end they felt like family, and the daily routine of paddle and camp felt like a life rather than an outing. The company, the laughs, the harder bits and the smooth going, the 4 seasons in 1 hour, stunning sunsets, MIDGES, Vladimir the compost loo with the mostest view, cold pruney toes, cosy sleeping bags, it all made an experience that will long be remembered. I loved every minxx

I can’t recommend this trip highly enough. It was such a special and memorable experience, and a huge part of that was down to our amazing guides, Chucky and Liz. They were a perfect mix of skilled, patient and fun. They met us all at the level we were at, taught us so many skills, and helped us feel confident throughout. The route has great variety. We covered lochs, rivers and some sea canoeing. Everything from calm water and easy sailing to some choppier sections that pushed us and added to the excitement. We were lucky to see incredible scenery, coral, jellyfish and birds of prey along the way. Everything was so well looked after, and the quality of the meals was great. They even catered for me as a vegan, which I really appreciated. There was also a never ending supply of snacks, I promise you will not go hungry. A huge thank you to everyone on the trip for an unforgettable time. We had such a lovely group, with laughs, support and a real sense of adventure. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

I recently went on this trip to Scotland with three friends, and we had the absolute best time! Even when the weather wasn’t quite on our side, it didn't dampen our spirits at all—we still had a fantastic experience from start to finish. A huge part of what made our trip so special was our guides, Chucky and Liz. They were truly exceptional, both in their expert instruction and the incredible care they put into our meals. We were treated to a delicious, hot meal every single evening, along with tasty lunches and plenty of snacks to keep us full throughout the day. The itinerary was great; we got to see so much of the beautiful Scottish landscape. The variety of locations was a real highlight, as we had the chance to canoe in several different environments, including rivers, lochs, and the sea. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we are already in the process of planning our next trip as a group! If you are looking for an adventurous but well-supported trip, I cannot recommend this experience enough. Massive thanks again to Chucky and Liz for taking such good care of us.

I recently completed the West Coast of Scotland trip with Skyhook, led by Chucky, and it exceeded every expectation I had. Before booking, I did a bit of research and even posted a question on Instagram. Another solo traveller reached out to reassure me and encourage me to take the plunge who had taken part in a similar trip and I'm so glad I did. What was originally going to be a solo adventure ended up becoming a group trip with friends, but having experienced it, I can honestly say it would have been just as enjoyable (and safe) either way, so dont fret if you are going alone or its your first trip. The trip was welcoming, safe, informative, active, and incredibly well organised. The scenery was beyond anything I could have imagined. I genuinely feel like I saw and experienced things that were once-in-a-lifetime opportunities, places and moments that most people would never find on their own. The guides have an extraordinary ability to uncover hidden gems and create unforgettable experiences. In fact, I think they could be placed almost anywhere in the world and have the same effect, finding remarkable spots and making every destination feel special. The food throughout the trip was also a real highlight, consistently delicious and far better than I expected. Every detail seemed thoughtfully considered. Most of all, the guides, Chucky and Liz were exceptional. Their knowledge, passion, and expertise brought the landscapes, history, and culture to life. Chucky and the team struck the perfect balance between adventure, education, and fun, making sure everyone felt included and comfortable throughout. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this trip to anyone considering it. Whether you're travelling solo, with friends, or somewhere in between, you'll come away with incredible memories, amazing experiences, and a much deeper appreciation for thr nature on our doorsteps!

I was surprised by a couple of things to be honest but as it was my long awaited holiday, made the most of it. It bothered me that our brilliant guide had to spend hours a day bailing out his own boat … one that was known to be badly cracked ie this was his second trip that he had to bail. As he is such a good guide, I would have thought he deserved a decent boat …? - that the extent of portage was not made explicit in any of the pre trip information ie I’d no idea this meant offloading all equipment, then dragging the boats some distance, up and down quite steep gravel paths, through milling tourists and traffic, dropping them back onto the water and reloading all equipment. This was a nasty surprise and meant that our guide and some other strong guests had to do all the work. I’m fairly able bodied but could not carry the boat without help - that one of the party could not paddle, nor steer the boat because of ‘locked’ hands and could not get in or out of the boat without a lot of help from 2 strong men. Even with this help she fell back into the boat twice and cut her head . Because of her physical disabilities others had to put up and take down her tent and she was unable to assist in any of the chores ie cooking or washing up. The rest of the group joined me in our concern that if she had capsized, (which is pretty standard for this kind of activity and did happen once), she would be unable to help herself and we would have been totally unable to help her. She was unhappy throughout the trip and in constant pain in her hands, knees and back, so I do wonder if, from a health and safety perspective, she might have been encouraged to join a less physical adventure…? I hope my comments will be received as positive feedback / food for thought L Morgan

Great trip overall, it is fairly hardwork. There are some long days up at 6.30/7.00 to strike camp yourself. Breakfast cooked by host. Then by about 9am you are on the water. You might get a mid morning stop, depending how you are progressing. You stop for lunch somewhere at the side of a loch and it’s provided. Back to paddling probably till about 5pm then erect tent and sort yourself out. Host cooks dinner and have free time in the evening. Portaging the canoes is a team effort. There is 5 to do and you need to be half fit. It’s a great trip. Really glad we did it.. book yourself a hotel at the end… with a bath😊

A really fantastic experience! We were blessed with mostly good weather but we tried to cross Loch Ness in pretty strong winds and big waves. I was very anxious about doing this but once we set off it was so exhilarating and I found I actually enjoyed it though it was quite physically hard work for an intense period! Our guides were Robson and Ellin and they were brilliant, not only at making us feel so safe and in good hands but also cooking so well for us all at camp. I met some lovely folk, had a right laugh, and particularly loved paddling across Loch Ness the day it was like a mill pond. It was everything I wanted it to be and more. I had an amazing experience on the Canoe Across Scotland trip. Sam was an outstanding guide throughout the entire journey: clear, knowledgeable, supportive, and always focused on the group's safety and enjoyment. His instructions were easy to follow, and even if I'd never been in a canoe before, I would have felt confident and well prepared. He did a fantastic job of teaching skills, managing the group, and mitigating risks while keeping the atmosphere relaxed and enjoyable. The group itself was also great, everyone was friendly, supportive, and fun to spend time with over the five days. I did have one issue with my sleeping mat not inflating properly, but Sam quickly arranged for a replacement to be brought by the support driver, which was incredibly helpful and meant the problem was resolved with minimal disruption. The scenery throughout the trip was unforgettable, and there was something incredibly rewarding about crossing Scotland under your own power over five days. It was a genuine challenge at times, but one that left me with a huge sense of achievement. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone looking for adventure, beautiful landscapes, and a memorable experience.

Amazing! Our guide, Sam, was inspiring. With endless energy he motivated and informed us. He has such a wealth of knowledge about the Great Glen and the Caledonian Canal; the history, geography, nature. And - he can cook rice perfectly on the side of a loch! Much better than most people can manage in their own kitchen! Scotland threw most features of her weather at us, wind, rain and bright sunshine! Only thing missing was snow but, when the clouds lifted, we saw that on top of Ben Nevis. The camaraderie was great too. Encouraged by Sam, we mucked in, helped each other and had a great time. I'd highly recommend this trip. Thank you Sam, Good2Go Adventures and my paddling buddies. xx

I recently completed the canoeing trip from Fort William to Inverness with wild camping, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The scenery throughout the journey was absolutely amazing, with stunning landscapes around every corner. We stayed in some lovely wild camping spots that really added to the adventure and allowed us to appreciate the beauty of the Highlands. A special mention goes to Sam, our guide, who was fantastic throughout the trip. He was knowledgeable, supportive, and made the whole experience enjoyable for everyone. The meals he prepared were delicious and always something to look forward to after a day on the water. We were lucky to have a great bunch of people in our group, which made the trip even more memorable. One of the highlights was getting the chance to swim a few times in Loch Ness – an experience not to be forgotten! The transfer back at the end of the trip was also very well organised and ran smoothly, making for a stress-free finish to a fantastic adventure. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone looking for a unique way to experience the Scottish Highlands.

A fantastic experience , thoroughly enjoyed. The guides Lahouceine and Yousef were patient, knowledgeable, helpful, and took great care of us. Always on hand to offer advice, answer questions , keep us safe, but also to keep us motivated and keep the pace going to remain on schedule as much as possible. Base camp was overcrowded with so many different parties, which made using the facilities a little challenging and not particularly sanitary , but this was the only negative in an otherwise well organised adventure. Food along the way was plentiful, fresh and varied, which was gratefully received at all stages of the hike.

This was one of the best trips I've been on in the UK. From the booking process to packing up to come home all went smoothly. The staff were fantastic I can't remember their names but all were enthusiastic, helpful, chatty and approachable. As a 65 year old woman travelling on my own I felt at home with the group and the activity. The instructions were clear, all questions were answered satisfactorily and at no point did I feel out of place. The accommodation was suitable and it felt like everything was taken care of comfortable bed, blanket for extra layers at night. Tea and coffee making facilities and a campfire with marshmallows!!! The kayaks were sturdy and the 3 different locations gave us a fantastic intro to sea kayaking and the beauties of the Dorset coast. I was so impressed by the organisation and attention to detail which made this a truly unforgettable experience. Thank you so much.

A fabulous weekend, good information up front (although there was a bit of confusion on finishing time on the last day) with regards getting there what to bring etc. All the guides were really helpful, knowledgeable and work really hard, we had Ben, Matt, Phil, Mel, Tobias, and James. Campsite is a beautiful spot and well equipped, food was also really good and a pleasant walk in to the village for the pub in the evening. The kayaking was challenging but really enjoyable, especially our route on the last day. Would definitely recommend.

We recently attended the kayaking and hiking trip through the Norway fjords and had an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. The scenery was breathtaking, the activities were extremely well organised, and the whole trip struck the perfect balance between adventure, challenge, and enjoyment. A special thank you goes to Frederik, who was an outstanding guide throughout the trip. He was knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and made everyone feel comfortable and included at all times. His passion for the fjords and the surrounding area really enhanced the experience, and nothing ever seemed too much trouble for him. The kayaking routes and hikes were beautifully planned, allowing us to experience some truly incredible parts of the Norwegian fjords while always feeling safe and well looked after. Frederik’s guidance, local knowledge, and positive attitude genuinely made the trip unforgettable. We would highly recommend this trip to anyone looking for an amazing outdoor adventure in Norway and will definitely be booking again in the future. Best regards, Ben Whatton

Just back from an incredible weekend in Coniston and honestly can’t recommend this group highly enough. From the moment we arrived, everything felt relaxed, welcoming and brilliantly organised without ever feeling overly structured. The weekend somehow managed to fit in canoeing on Coniston Water, gorge walking, underground mine exploration, abseiling into Cathedral Quarry, campfires, BBQs, karaoke and plenty of laughs in between. What really stood out though was the atmosphere. A lot of us arrived not knowing each other, but the organisers created the kind of environment where people quickly felt included and comfortable. By the end of the weekend it felt more like a group of friends than strangers on a trip. The activities were genuinely memorable too. Exploring the old copper mines in complete darkness, feeling our way through parts of it by hand, was both fascinating and slightly terrifying in equal measure. The 47m abseil into Cathedral Quarry was one of those experiences that pushes you just far enough outside your comfort zone to feel amazing afterwards. The hosts were also really flexible and accommodating throughout the weekend. They adapted the itinerary around the group, the weather and energy levels rather than rigidly sticking to a plan, which made the whole experience feel far more relaxed and enjoyable. Massive thanks to the organisers for putting together such a varied, adventurous and welcoming weekend. I came home exhausted, muddy, slightly bruised, and very happy. Already looking at the next trip. 💙

Really nicely done trip, great guide and staff and some really lovely people to share the weekend with. The gorge walking was a particular highlight, it was cold for the first few minutes and then you just get used to it and have the best time you can imagine clambering over rocks and jumping off waterfalls. You will get plenty of steps in on some of the walks, as long as you have a reasonable level of fitness you will be fine, no one in our group struggled with any of the challenges. Jed and Chucky made sure that we were all safe, entertained and happy throughout, a real credit to Skyhook adventures. I would recommend this to friends and family and would certainly book again for another trip. And if camping isn't for you then there is a hotel less than 5 minutes away (no one on our group used it, but I would be tempted to next time perhaps)

Not being a seasoned hiker, I was a bit disappointed when I heard that we wouldn’t be able to hike the Samaria gorge due to dangerous conditions. However, that disappointment was very soon replaced with awe and enjoyment thanks to our amazing guide, Akis, and also a great group of fellow adventurers. The routes were varied, sometimes challenging, paced comfortably, and interspersed with a good amount of breaks, sea swims and food and drinks stops. Transfers and boat trips all went very smoothly. The accomodation was spotless and comfortable, ending in beautiful Loutro with its stunning clear turquoise harbour. Thanks Skyhook for a superb holiday! ❤️

What an amazing journey. Our guide David was a lovely person and was always looking out for us. He was very kind and patient. I would highly recommend this trip if you are looking for an adventure. Sadly for me though I could not complete the five days. My fault entirely as my clothing was not suitable and I had not prepared sufficiently physically. For a young active person possibly not much prep required but at 71 years I should have done some training and sorted better clothing. Having said that it was exceptionally cold for the time of year. However I did enjoy what I did but the journey is not complete for me. I will be back next year for another go at this as I'm determined to finish it next time. The trek was undersold, this is a very demanding and complex climb with 4 and half hours uphill ascent in the early hours of the morning. The pace couldn’t be regulated for all 12 participants to feel comfortable. There is little to no information on the sleeping arrangements with a mixed sex dormitory at the lodge the only option for sleeping. Facilities were pretty grim too with only one working western toilet (flushing) having become blocked, the other was out of use. I personally didn’t enjoy summit day and wouldn’t recommend this hike to anyone who does have the pure resilience and stamina to make it through.

Reply by Atlas Vertical Travel:
Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback, April, and we’re very sorry to hear that the experience didn’t meet your expectations. This is indeed a challenging trek, particularly summit day with the long pre-dawn ascent, and we do try to communicate this as clearly as possible through the itinerary and FAQs. That said, we completely appreciate that conditions, group dynamics, and individual experiences on the mountain can vary a lot in reality, and we’re sorry if the level of difficulty did not feel clear enough beforehand. We also understand that the refuge accommodation is very basic. Unfortunately, due to the remote mountain environment and limited infrastructure, the dormitory-style sleeping arrangements and simple facilities are part of the trekking experience on this route. Thank you again for the honest and constructive feedback. It’s genuinely helpful both for us as we continue working to improve expectation-setting, and for future travellers considering the adventure. We do hope there were still some memorable moments along the way, and we appreciate you travelling with us.

In the longstanding challenge to spend the son and heir's inheritance in creative ways we booked this trip. Short version is that it was brilliant! In our late sixties, we were the eldest in the group but never once did we feel out of place. Chuckie and Elin, the guides, supported all of us all the way and even on the hardest days made sure we were all supported and not left behind. When we capsized (yes it can happen and it was our fault) they were on the spot and had us out and on the way in short order. They also made great meals every night. It is hardish work. A base level of fitness was a definite advantage, more might have been better, but it was achievable, we just kept going. The rewards were well worth it. There is stunning scenery along the route and the camaraderie that developed in our group was glorious. One last piece of advice, you don't need many clothes but lots of dry socks is a definite plus!

Our trip with Good2Go Adventures from Fort William to Inverness was one of the most memorable trips I’ve ever done. From the moment we got on the water, the scenery was incredible — huge lochs, dramatic mountains, and wildlife everywhere. We saw deer, seals, osprey, and even a pair of ducks that quickly learned how to scrounge food from the group. The weather was far better than expected too, with plenty of sunshine and only the occasional rainstorm to remind us we were in Scotland. What really made the trip special, though, were the people. Five days of paddling, portaging, camping, and eating together turned a group of strangers into genuine friends. There’s something about travelling through wild places together that brings people together very quickly. By the end of the trip, I knew the friendships would last far longer than our aching muscles. The guides, Chucky and Elin, were brilliant throughout. Professional, encouraging, and great fun to spend time with. I honestly wasn’t sure I’d manage the whole journey when we started, but they were excellent at helping everyone realise what they were capable of. They taught as we went, kept the group motivated, and somehow made even the harder days enjoyable. Their calm confidence made the whole trip feel both safe and adventurous. The equipment and campsites were excellent. The canoes and tents were high quality, and the wild camps were stunning. The food completely exceeded expectations for a canoe trip — haggis for dinner, bacon sandwiches for breakfast, and even the occasional beer and whisky around the campfire. It felt like a real adventure without ever feeling rough or uncomfortable. By the end, I felt a huge sense of achievement: 100km paddled, five portages, and four wild camps completed. We didn’t see Nessie, but thankfully we also escaped the midges. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience with amazing scenery, fantastic guides, and a great group of people.

This was an amazing trip! Pete and Dave were wonderful guides, supporting us through the more challenging parts of the journey and giving us loads of helpful info. The wild campsites were brilliant and the meals they cooked were delicious. They encouraged us to work as a team both on and off the water (you need to portage around several locks), and gauged our energy levels for each part really well, explaining the options we had for getting to the next rest stop or overnight stay. The scenery is stunning and it feels like a true achievement when you get to the end.

After succumbing to peer pressure of more adventurous friends and having never wild camped nor canoed for more than a day on the River Wye, I approached this trip with some trepidation! My first experience of " choppy " waters ( ha, little did I know), risked sending me into a flat spin but the calm encouragement and paddling tips from our clearly very experienced guides, Pete and Dave meant that by the time we were riding the white capped waves of Loch Ness I was more than comfortable in our canoe and would actually say I enjoyed the ride!! Even the rather ungainly landing! This trip is so much more than canoeing as portaging canoes taught us, along with making and breaking camp each day and the ever changing weather and water conditions. We were all ready for the brews and hearty food expertly cooked by Pete and Dave. The scenery moves from calm serenity to dramatic in equal measure and our photos cannot do it justice. The Good2Go organisation was informative pre-trip and our group's many questions were answered promptly. We will certainly recommend this adventure.

We had an excellent trip well planned and executed very well from start to finish. Equipment and start briefing provided by Chukky were very good. Our guides from Good2GoAdventures, Pete and Dave, looked after us very well both on and off the water. They "read the room" and adjusted as required to make the whole group comfortable. The trip was challenging both on some rough water and some long portage however all very manageable; again due to Pete and Dave noting what support was needed. Would definitely consider similar trips in the future.

Reply by Mountaineerin Ltd:
Hi Sarah, Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re very sorry to hear that you were unable to join the group as planned and understand how disappointing that must have been after such a long journey. For clarity, the pick-up, briefing, and scheduled transfer form the start of the trip, and it is essential that guests are present at this stage so the guide can safely coordinate the group and logistics. Once a group has departed into the mountains, it is not always possible for the guide to return or rearrange transport due to limited connectivity and safety considerations, as their focus must remain on the guests already in their care. We can see that the local team did attempt to make contact and also explored alternative arrangements to help you join later, which unfortunately did not work out on this occasion. We’re sorry this meant you were unable to continue with the experience as intended, and we appreciate you taking the time to leave your feedback.

This trip was so much fun. We had three separate guides for the 3 mountains, Rich, Susie and Richard and they were all fantastic, very supportive, super knowledgeable and did a brilliant job managing the varying abilities in the group. We were lucky with the weather and all three mountain hikes were fantastic. We did have a mixed ability group and were not able to make it in 24 hours due to waiting for slower walkers so that is something to bear in mind if you are determined to meet the deadline- you will have to go at the pace of the slowest walker, or at least, wait for them. The driving was the most difficult bit. Our first driver gave us a lot of incorrect and unhelpful information before and between trips - usually one guide goes to all three mountains with you but this wasn't the case for us. Luckily I have enough hiking experience to know to ignore him and wait for the actual guides' information. Second driver was much better. Travel sickness tablets were definitely useful, the driving down winding roads is quite hard going, but its a lot of fun jumping in and out of the mini bus for each challenge. Highly recommend this challenge if you're fit enough to get up the mountains at a good pace. I recommend actually timing your uphill hiking during training if you're not sure whether you can manage the pace. These mountains are not super challenging if you are used to hiking uphill, but might be a challenge if you are not used to that even if you are generally fit.

I have just completed the Three Peaks Challenge (24 hours) with Mountaineerin and it was expertly organised. We had a different guide for each mountain, which worked brilliantly; each one brought local knowledge and support that felt perfectly suited to their terrain. I was expecting this to be a type 2 fun adventure, but there were plenty of moments of pure joy along the way... running down the snow on Ben Nevis, picking our way up Scafell Pike in the dark and silence, and scrambling up the Pyg Track. Loved the whole experience! Thank you guys for making the experience so great

Days were not too strenuous, though you were paddling for up to 6 hours a day with breaks. Portages were short except for Ft Augustus. I'm 70 and didn't have any issues. Wild campsites were generally very good and the food reasonable for the preparation and storage conditions. Our group mainly gelled very well, with plenty of campfire socializing in the evenings ( and at other times when we took breaks). I'd do it again in a heartbeat!

I’ve just completed the Canoe Across Scotland experience and it exceeded every expectation. Chucky was an outstanding guide – calm, knowledgeable, patient and clearly very experienced. Elin was equally brilliant, and together they made the whole journey feel safe, well organised, and genuinely enjoyable. Everything was run so professionally, and it’s clear how much thought and expertise goes into making this such an amazing adventure. The group were amazing too, which made the whole experience even better. I’d recommend this to anyone looking for a really special, memorable experience. A solid 10/10.

Overall, this was a really fun trip. Joel and Hassan were friendly guides. We had an issue with vegetarian food on the first night, as despite stating our dietary preferences on the trip form this wasn't picked up. The following days there were things for us to eat, although if you are worried about your protein intake I'd recommend bringing additional protein rich snacks! Other than that they gave us plenty of food, and it was pretty good overall. What I didn't realize before the trek was that we would have to buy all our water whilst on the trek. Water ranged from 7dh a bottle (1.5l) in imlil to 20dh a bottle up the mountain and at the refuge, the costs of which racked up as we were drinking a lot of during the trek(so make sure you have enough cash). The toilets on the way up and at the refuge were very basic and sometimes unpleasant so I would recommend bringing hand sanitizer. For the summit day if you have your own gear I would recommend bringing your own crampons, helmet, and proper mountaineering boots. A few in our group were wearing flexible boots not designed for crampons, and during the summit had issues with crampons coming loose / breaking during the trek, which lead to the guide giving up his own crampons. Also, not all the helmets available were mountaineering ones, some had bicycle helmets instead. We had to walk all the way from the refuge to the summit and back down to the refuge in crampons / winter gear, this was fine for me as someone who has used crampons before but more difficult/ daunting for those who hadn't before. Whilst the guides were friendly and generally very good, it would have been beneficial and reassuring to have had more group check ins, and more regular briefings on the plans and what to expect, as well as more instruction on how to use the equipment for those who needed it. If you are going in winter I would recommend going on a winter skills course prior to this trek to get the most enjoyment out of it. On our first day hiking to the refuge, somebody had died on the peak, receiving this news was sobering and definitely rattled the group - I wouldn't underestimate this peak. This combined with other factors resulted in two members of the party not summiting and remaining at the refuge whilst we summited. I was also taken back by the amount of litter and obvious environmental pollution issues in the area (algal blooms etc in mountain streams) as a result of food waste being disposed of in the rivers, and likely human waste also. This definitely made me consider the impact of the trekking industry on the environment, and ultimately means I will not return to the area as I do not wish to contribute further to the pollution. Overall the trek was a n enjoyable once in a lifetime experience, and the group were fantastic.

The organisation was faultless. Collected on time as advised and quick transfer to Imlil. First hotel was comfortable with dinner provided soon after arrival. The first day's walk was about 13km, whilst not that long it was quite a slog. The guides were great with plenty of breaks, and a good lunch provided about half way up to the refuge. The refuge was basic ( as expected) although even less room in the dormitory than would have been ideal. Mattress on the floor was comfortable enough, but the toilets (five or six) and showers ( just 2 or 3 with cold water) for 85 guests wasn't ideal. Food was more about quantity than quality but we certainly didn't go hungry! Made some lovely friends in our mixed group of hikers. The 2nd day was a challenge - DON'T UNDERESTIMATE THIS! Up around 3.30am, 4 hours, 4.5km and 1100m ascent to the summit was a slog but well worth it. Snow and ice cover requiring crampons was a new experience and added to the challenge! Then a long descent via the refuge, back to Imlil, was steady but felt good with the assistance of gravity.

What an incredible experience, our guide Chris was so lovely and patient. I don’t think anyone could argue that we were the fittest group he’s ever taken (2x 60 year olds and a 70 year old with no experience of canoeing). However, he along with Oli made sure we were well looked after. Cajoled and encouraged all the way, we always felt we were with an experienced and capable guide. Waking up every morning to the most beautiful views was just so special. I will never ever forget this amazing adventure but yeah it was challenging at times but everyone pitched in (Excuse the pun) making it a fantastic adventure. Thank you so much.

Rich our guide was great, on the last peak Snowdon, near the top i had a moment were I needed to dig deep, Rich’s encouragement gave me exactly what I needed for the last push ! He was a wealth of knowledge/ experience and was amazing with the whole team over the 24hrs each there for different reasons. I’ve learnt so much and given me confidence and a new love to go and explore further ! Thank you once again for the smooth organisation throughout , the drivers , and Rich the ‘mountain goat’ top guy !

A fantastic experience. We went as a party of 6 and met a great group of people including Kev our guide and driver. Booking the guided trip meant that we didnt have to worry about transfers or accomodation or where to park. We could just enjoy the hikes. Although I would say I am fit (57) I was apprehensive due to reviews about the terrain but we were fine even Ben Nevis which was all snow 1000 m up. It wasnt easy by any means and long days as transfers were around 4 - 5 hours but what a laugh and a great experience. I would definitely recommend.

Fabulous time! The weather was very kind to us - we had a taste of everything it seems - the gentle canoeing through the stillwater canals & lochs surrounded by pine forests & mountain peaks is just beautiful. The leader (Robson) expertly guided us in the logistics of portaging around the locks and finding & setting up wild camps. We also had the opportunity to adopt the rafting technique for more stability & teamwork in choppy waters. Plus we tried a bit of sailing in our canoes! On top of all these experiences was the convenience of all equipment being provided by the company, we just needed to bring ourselves & personal clothing/footwear etc. Robson also took photos/videos for us to take away. 5/5 stars!

This was a tough climb with the climb starting from approximately 900M to base camp just over 3000M and then summit of 4167M in about 24hrs….. it’s not for the faint hearted!! The views were amazing and the challenge was well worth it…. I meet some amazing people on the trip and some for life (I think) … the accommodation was basic but very clean and well maintained… The guides did their jobs very well as I’m not the fastest of climbers but I’m steady and get there in the end (which is great for the attitude change) I wouldn’t say this is a moderate challenge,I would says it’s Moderate to hard ….. It’ was a great challenge thanks Skyhook

Overall it was an amazing experience and I would 100% recommend however It is not for the inexperienced and this is definitely not a trip for a first mountaineering experience. The tour was extremely well organised and our guide Nik (Kreshnik) was great. We enjoyed the delicious local food and the swim in the Ionian sea. The trek isn't too arduous except the last day which can be a bit challenging. I would definitely recommend this to everyone as this is a great mix of easy trekking and some difficult bits with spectacular views through out. The accomodation was excellent, clean , functional and superbly located to suit the treks.

The guides were fantastic. Looked after the whole group and carefully and steadily got us to the summit of Toubkal, I highly recommend booking with them. Felt 100% safe. The actual hike is challenging. Be prepared for summit day, an early 3am start. Then after the summit you have to get back to Imlil after a brief stop at the refuge. By the time we got to Imlil we were all exhausted. It’s not a walk in the park, it’s 30km+, 2500m ascent over two days. The pace is slow and steady to acclimatise. The hardest part is the descent from the refuge to Imlil, tired legs and lost of rocks and scree. You really need to take care. I think we picked the best time. It was clear weather, still cold, but enough snow to make it a winter ascent and able to use crampons. Otherwise it would have been harder just on rock and scree, particularly as it was on the lower descent. 100% book it and make sure you have good fitness because it’s a long hard slog, but the views are 100% worth it.

Everest Base Camp felt unreal - like something that didn’t quite belong to real life. It’s tough, uncomfortable, and far from glamorous. But that’s exactly what makes it special. There’s a strange calm in the middle of all that effort just walking, breathing, existing. A big part of the experience was our guide, Bir - calm, attentive, and always one step ahead. He took care of everything without making it feel forced, which made a huge difference, especially at altitude. Now it almost feels like a dream. The only proof it happened is how much it changed my perspective.

Skyhook adventure had made the necessary arrangements to ensure our comfort and safety throughout the duration of the trip. What a great trip with Ayub and Salah! Really nice guides, super friendly, they set a great pace and the climb up Toubkal was amazing BUT it is a tough 2-day hike, be sure you’re fit enough and be prepared with plenty of layers and extra clothing for the refuge too - that was basic accommodation but it did the job. The eco lodge in lmlil was lovely and had amazing views. The food was incredible, lots of traditional Moroccan foods and big portions for energy for the mountains! Highly recommend it but make sure you’re prepared for a big mountain hike, and don’t carry too much luggage

Guatemala was an amazing country to see, however, if I’m being totally honest, I was quite disappointed with the trip execution. Firstly, we were a group of only 2, which I was totally fine with (we also got along really well), however, I felt that we possibly weren’t given the same effort from the local company because of this. First evening meeting was pushed back to the next morning, turned up late to the meeting. Guide assigned to us took us around but wasn’t very forthcoming with information… which is kind of the basics expected in a guide. Examples include the first bike ride where we were taken to different churches. We followed the guide for him to stop at a church, not say anything and kind of wait awkwardly for us to take photos. Kayaking he actually disappeared at one point and we decided to head back ourselves. He was a pleasant enough guide but I felt he needed to be a bit more assertive with explaining things. The main hike of the trip, other people joined the hike (they were all lovely people and amazing to share the hike with). The hike down we had no guide behind us (both up at the front). One of the girls slipped and really hurt her wrist, no guide from our group around… it took other hikers and other group guides to help her with creams, slings etc until 20 mins later our guide showed up… I found this really irresponsible and again, these are basics of expected on any group guided trip. My other feedback would be to have the lake after the main hike, so that you can relax after that hike…. I’m not sure if the effort of the guides would have been different had the group been bigger but I certainly wouldn’t recommend this particular trip to friends… I’d say go solo first! (Which is disappointing as I love group travel and I loved my trip with you guys to Slovakia which was guided extremely well!)

Reply by Old Town Outfitters:
Hi Nicola, Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We’re genuinely sorry to hear that parts of the trip didn’t meet your expectations, especially as we know how much anticipation goes into an adventure like this. We’re very glad to hear that you enjoyed Guatemala itself, it really is a beautiful and memorable country! We're so sorry appreciate that the guiding style fell short for you. As each of our adventures is run by local hosts in different parts of the world, the structure and group dynamic can vary from trip to trip. On itineraries like Guatemala, some activities may operate with smaller numbers or combine travellers from different bookings for certain excursions, which helps local teams keep these adventures running sustainably and at an accessible price point. That said, we absolutely understand that this can create a different experience from a fully group-based tour with the same travelers throughout. We’ve already discussed your feedback in detail with the local host team, who were very sorry to hear that you didn’t feel better supported or guided throughout the experience. In particular, they were disappointed to hear that the level of interaction and attentiveness from the guide did not feel as engaging as expected, and they’re already reviewing ways to improve communication, expectation-setting, and overall guest experience moving forward. We also appreciate you raising your concerns regarding the volcano hike and the injured traveler. Safety is something we take very seriously, and while we understand assistance was provided once the guide was aware of the situation, we completely recognise why this felt concerning from your perspective and why you would have expected more visible support during the descent. Multi-adventure itineraries in destinations like Guatemala can involve a lot of moving parts, changing group sizes, local logistics, and different travel styles coming together. While many travelers love the flexibility and local feel of these trips, we understand that others may prefer a more traditional fully-guided group format, and your feedback is very helpful in helping us communicate those differences more clearly. Thank you again for sharing your honest thoughts. Feedback like this is incredibly valuable to both us and our local partners as we continue working to improve and create memorable experiences for future travelers. Warm regards, The Skyhook Team

The trip was very well organized. The activities very nice and safe, the hotels were very good and the food amazing. On the other hand, our guide Jonathan knew very well the place, but he was very nonchalant, was tired most of the time, he didn’t say everything about the trip, and at the end, he got too “friendly” with my daughter.

Hi Ximena, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback, we really appreciate it. It means a lot to know those elements came together well for you. That said, we're genuinely sorry to hear that the guide was anything less than professional and that this took away from the overall experience. That's certainly not the standard we've come to expect from this team. Please rest assured that we’ve already raised this with the local host. Amazing trip! Hassan was a great guide and worked tirelessly to ensure we were all kitted out and supported during the trek. Even through observing Ramadan...heroic!! Everything went as planned, food was great, even in tricky locations. Accommodation good, although the refuge is very basi, we were still apply catered for. As a solo traveller, felt safe and enjoyed the company of the group I climbed with. Only caution was/ is that as a short trip, you don't get much time to acclimatise to the altitude, so need to be very fit, especially in snow. I didn't summit, through personal choice, but still found the overall experience fantastic, supported and life affirming. Can't fault the organisation, guides, cooks and experience.

Excellent trip all round. Support from Lahouceine was excellent, arranged for early pickup so that I could maximise my time in the hills on Day 1. Our guides, Lassan and Hassan were great and observant to the capabilities within the group and paced accordingly. Food and other support was also excellent, especially with the unusual low lying Snow preventing the mules to carry everything to the refuge. We all managed somehow! Toubkal should not be underestimated, it is a brutal climb to be done in two days, but with that comes greater sense if achievement. Thanks. Recommended (but train properly in advance!) Mike

Highly recommend! This trip in Slovakia was truly wonderful and even better than I expected. The views were absolutely beautiful, the hikes were fantastic, and everyday felt like an adventure. We stayed at Vila Linda in Stará Lesná, which was warm and cosy, with delicious food and such friendly, welcoming service. A big thank you to Tom, our brilliant guide, who went above and beyond - adapting to the weather, sorting out everything smoothly, and making sure we didn't miss a thing. I feel very lucky to have shared this experience with such a lovely group. I would happily come back to Slovakia again - perhaps in the summer next time. Ďakujem!

Great trip! Beautiful walks amongst almond blossom and fantastic vistas. Lovely hotel - relaxed staff, comfortable rooms and tasty food. Hotel was perfect for a group booking. Guide was great - set good pace and planned distance well for needs of group. Can recommend to any one with some walking experience as there are a few slightly more challenging uphill sections. I loved being out in nature in gorgeous February sunshine.

This was definitely my last trip with Skyhook. To be honest, I would not recommend completing the second part of this trip with this provider. As a solo traveller, I contacted the company in advance to confirm whether the trip would still go ahead if I travelled alone. They confirmed that it would, without providing any additional comments regarding quality or potential adjustments, including any price modifications that would have allowed me to make an informed decision. After paying an additional £220 for this three-day trip as a solo traveller, I was placed in a van with approximately 20 people, despite the booking suggesting small groups. I was asked to pay for my own lunch, even though the tour description stated that all meals were included. The dinner at the first hotel did not even include water, and a very small plate had to be shared between four people at the table. The stops on the trip also differed from those described in the itinerary, and some locations were not visited at all. After speaking with other passengers, I realised that I had effectively been outsourced to a trip booked through the GetYourGuide platform. While I am aware that this platform offers budget tours (and I have used it in other countries), this was not what I paid for in this case. The experience felt like a low-cost tourist trap. During the trip, we were accompanied by local “tour guides” who walked us around public areas and then demanded tips in a manner that felt almost forceful. To make matters worse, my contact at Skyhook asked me to update him on how the trip was going. When booking a guided tour, it should be the provider’s responsibility to ensure service quality and passenger wellbeing at all times. The first part of the trip was somewhat better, and I believe this is where their expertise lies. However, this is not an easy climb in winter, and the equipment provided was not always suitable. Two helmets did not fit properly, yet no adequate solution was offered; we were simply told to carry them attached to our backpacks. On the first day, after lunch, we began walking on snow while carrying all our gear but were not advised to use crampons, which would have made that section significantly safer and easier. I was wearing trekking boots, which were listed as suitable in the equipment description, yet the terrain was slippery and unstable in several areas, making that section far more difficult than necessary. Ultimately, it was the natural environment itself that made the experience worthwhile, rather than the organisation or service provided.

Reply by Atlas Vertical Travel:
Hi Mafe, Thanks for taking the time to share such honest and detailed feedback. I’m genuinely very sorry that aspects of your trip did not meet your expectations. That’s never how we want anyone to feel after travelling with Skyhook. Our aim is always to provide authentic, small-group adventure experiences. On the Sahara extension, the local host requires a minimum number of participants to operate the desert portion sustainably. In the past, the team has tried running this extension for a single guest, but feedback showed that it often didn’t provide the best overall experience. To provide the best experience, this can mean that solo travellers are joined with another group for this part of the trip. We're aware that this was mentioned to you at booking, but can see that we could have provided clearer information in advance, particularly around what to expect in terms of group size and format. It's something we’re reviewing with the local team. I’m also sorry to hear the wider group trip didn’t feel like good value in terms of inclusions, meals and itinerary stops. While the lunch was refunded at the time, we understand that didn’t fix the overall disappointment. We’re speaking with the host directly to make sure what’s delivered on the ground properly reflects what’s advertised. It’s good to hear Mt Toubkal was a better experience overall, though your comments about equipment and guidance are important. Winter conditions there are no joke, and guests should feel confident in both the gear and the advice they’re given. The local guides are normally very experienced in advising on equipment use, including crampons and helmets, so I’m sorry if that wasn’t reflected in your experience. We’re following this up to make sure standards are where they should be. We can’t change how the trip felt for you, but your feedback has absolutely been heard and is being acted on. Thanks again for taking the time to write it — it helps us improve. Warm regards, The Skyhook Team

A pity it was only a week long - there's so much to see. The highlight has to be the overnight trek up Volcán Acatenango to view the almost constantly erupting Volcán de Fuego. It's impressive during the day but absolutely spectacular at night and the campsite is the perfect viewing platform. Lake Atitlán, the deepest in Central America, was also a great overnight trip. It was serenely relaxing kayaking across it and the hike back along the ridge above the shoreline was very picturesque. I'd have liked the cycle ride to have been longer, but this too added to the experience. The shoreline town of Panajachel offers lots of opportunities for buying colourful souvenirs and has plenty of bars and restaurants to try out. The main base of Antigua is likewise a busy but beautiful place to stay, enjoying the local sites and views, rooftop bars, restaurants and shops - of which there are a lot. Our courtyard hotel was true to Guatemalan style and offered tasty breakfasts in the cool morning air. Old Town Outfitters provided all the services of the trip and Pablo, our guide, did a great job in looking after us facilitating the experience and explaining the sights and history. Prices are good value, take some local currency (Quetzals) but credit cards are widely accepted too. Both warm and colder weather gear is required. Daytimes are warm, but not too hot, and evenings and early mornings are cool. Long trousers (or gaiters) for the volcano hikes will prevent stones filling your shoes and do expect your clothes and kit to get very dusty from the ash. Either use the hotel's laundry service or bring plenty of bags for packing dirty kit. Where you visit is well set up for tourism but doesn't seem overly spoiled by it yet. Visit soon if you love sunny picturesque locations and prefer to enjoy them actively rather than passively. It's well worth the effort of getting there.

What a trip. So we new the weather was going to be interesting at this time of year and was expecting a bit of cold… 🥶 thought I would break the trip down as I think this would have definitely helped me in my prep. Trip was well managed from Start to finish all pick ups/drop offs exactly as per messages received before the trip which makes for a very smooth process. Day 1 was very short in terms of the skyhook bit. Met in Marrakesh at 7.30, drove to Imlil, ate, went to bed. Riad in Imlil was basic but perfectly nice. Day 2 is where it all begins. After a hearty brekkie (carb heavy) and meeting up with our guide, Hassan, we start the day as we mean to go on, hiking! From Imlil to the lunch spot around 3.5hrs, taking in. All the sights. Was very pleasant. And very easy going. Stopped for lunch by the over and admired the mountains in front. This is where the trip started getting fun for me. From lunch straight into the snow! Definitely worth noting that if you are doing this in winter, there is no mile from this point. You have to carry anything you need, yourself. From here a snowy but sunny 3.5hr hike to the refuge. Very straight forward terrain made trickier by the snow but we managed it without crampons fairly well Into the refuge for food and then up to the dorms for one of the worst nights sleep I think I’ve ever had. But it’s all part of it. big very warm dorm room with 25ish people sleeping in it. I had taken my full on sleeping bag for -18 weather which was complete overkill and tbh a sleeping bag liner would be more than enough here. Day 3 - up bright and early to the whispers that due to weather, getting to the summit wasn’t going to happen. After some breakfast we were told by our guide Hassan we must wait for a bit before any decisions were made. Then all of a sudden, decision was made and we were off. Tbh, the weather was brutal and was way more full on than I had expected. However, after a 6hr round trip we had made it to the summit and back down. A brilliant experience, even if a little Bum clenching in moments. Hassan led us superbly through the conditions with the group having differing levels of experience. From there it was a bit of lunch and back down the way we had come all the way to Imlil. A long tiring day but one I will never forget. All round, a great well organised trip which has only given me the itch for some more snow based adventures next year. Great work skyhook.

My son and I had a terrific time. The trip was hard, but very rewarding and a gave a real sense of achievement. We were lucky to get to the summit as not all groups did. We were well looked after by Lahouceine and Mohammed who are clearly very experienced and really decent people. We were also blessed to be part of an amazing group who looked out for each other and led to lots of laughs. The food was ok and be ready for the mountain refuge which is very basic. Excellent adventure, well organised and led by Seb and Jackson from Ahsante tours. Every aspect of this adventure, from planning and booking, to assistance with visa applications, and continued liaison until we got to the trek was excellent. We had leaders Seb and Jackson, along Peter, Cowboy, Pascal, Calvin, Mike, Suliman, Leonard, Bryson, Manuel, Joseph, and Pasat 🇹🇿 ⛰️ This team made our adventure! I can't recommend this trip enough. A memory for a lifetime. Recommendations for people considering this. Take up the portable toilet option; we had it, at the camps it was a life saver when you consider the on site facilities, and your possible distance from them at night! Gloves! The summit trek is freezing, make sure you have suitable gloves and a headtorch.

A fantastic weekend spent in the Swiss mountains with our guide Tom. I’d never been snowshoeing before but he made it easy to learn and took us on some beautiful trails including the spectacular snowy ascent to the St Bernard’s monastery. It was an amazing experience with a great group of people. The food was plentiful and delicious and meeting the St Bernard’s at the end of the trip was rounded off an unforgettable weekend. If you’re looking to get into the mountains without skiing or snowboarding then this is the perfect trip for a winter getaway.

I booked the 8 day Lemosho route with Ahsante Tours on a short notice and with some trepid reservations given prior reviews dated October 2025. However, having also read the Skyhook / Ahsante Tours responses to these reviews, I put my faith in their ability to rectify the complaints regarding equipment, food, safety issues, etc. Without a shadow of a doubt I can say that my experience on Kilimanjaro was made a 10/10 with Ahsante Tours. In brief: we had brand new tents, an excess of food (good, diverse food too), and incredible guides and porters guiding us the entire way. Our guides, Sebastian and Thomas, were grade A in professionalism, mountain knowledge, and were a total joy to be around. We were a small group (four in total), and their constant presence with us from breakfast to dinner each day was always appreciated. Additionally, we had 15 porters to support our group of four. Barring incorrect spelling, I'd like to reiterate my gratitude to all of them for making our trek possible: Agnes, Theresa, Anadombe, Lokem, Elias, Martin, Omari, Michael, COWBOY!, Pasqual, Jeremiah, Paolo, Paolo, January and our top notch chef, Ezekiel (Mganga). I'm hard pressed to see how any provider could possibly beat Ahsante Tours in quality or price. I am 100% satisfied with my experience and I would recommend the 8 day Lemosho route to anyone. Sebastian, Thomas, Holyfield, and the whole team--ahsante sana!!!

I have many years of Alpine experience and had never used an organised trip before, but as a guide is mandatory for Toubkal I booked through Skyhook (I like the name!) and I was not disappointed - good straightforward organisation which made it simple for the clients. Skyhook and their local agent Atlas Vertical sorted all the logistics and food on the hill and made life very easy so we just walked and enjoyed the adventure. Our guide, Lagcen from Atlas Vertical, was steady and adapted the pace to suit the terrain, made sure we were well fed on our journey and looked after us extremely well.

Overall, a well organised and guided tour Pre-tour communication was prompt and effective. Our tour guide, Motaz was great: mature, knowledgeable, a lot of fun, ensured good organisation and really bonded with the group. Amazing. The itinerary was comprehensive and well planned and tour followed the plan. Accomodation was adequate on the hike and the hotels were very comfortable. Food was amazing. A frustration was the "constant" tipping for anyone who did anything for the tour. If this is customary in the country, rather include in the price to avoid repeated collection of tip money. Overall, we were very happy with the service, guiding and value.

My 15-day trek to Everest Base Camp was truly the trip of a lifetime, made even more special by the incredible team who guided, supported, and cared for us every step of the way. First, a huge thank-you to our lead guide, Rinji Purba Sherpa. Rinji was exceptional in every sense—knowledgeable, smart, calm, and genuinely kind-hearted. His deep understanding of the Himalayas, the mountains, the culture, and every detail of the trail made us feel safe, inspired, and constantly learning. He knew exactly how to pace the trek, how to motivate us, and how to handle every moment with professionalism and warmth. I could not have asked for a better leader; Rinji was truly the heart of this journey. Our assistant guide, Roshan Rai, was equally amazing—hardworking, dedicated, and always ready to help. Whether it was assisting us on difficult sections, checking on our health, or making sure we were comfortable, Roshan was always there with a smile and a reassuring attitude. His effort and energy made a huge difference. We were also supported by a wonderful team: Suman, Bishnu Lal, and Rastya. They worked tirelessly behind the scenes, carrying our loads, preparing things ahead of our arrival, and making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. Their positivity and strength were truly inspiring. Thanks to this entire team, the journey to Everest Base Camp was beautiful, emotional, and unforgettable. The route itself was stunning—snow-capped peaks, ancient Sherpa villages, prayer flags, peaceful forests, and breathtaking views at every turn. But what made the trip truly special was how the team made us feel: safe, cared for, comfortable, and treated like family. This was not just a trek—it was an experience filled with warmth, friendship, and memories that I will carry for the rest of my life. I strongly recommend Rinji Purba Sherpa, Roshan Rai, and the entire support team of skyhook. If you want a life-changing EBC experience, this is the team to go with.

The EBC trek was genuinely the experience of a lifetime, from the staggering Himalayan landscapes to the warmth of the Nepali people and their rich culture. I thought I was coming just to reach Everest Base Camp, but I fell in love with countless other peaks, valleys, and places I had never even heard of before. This experience would never have been as magical without our outstanding guiding and supporting team. Our lead guide, Rinji Furba Sherpa, is a remarkably kind and positive-minded person who knows every mountain, trail, piece of fauna and flora in the Himalayas—truly a walking encyclopedia in the best possible sense. He briefed us in detail before every trek, advised us wisely throughout the journey, and introduced us with pride and passion to the colourful Sherpa culture. Our assistant guide, Rosan Rai, was making sure we were safe, hydrated, and motivated. He guided us with the agility of a mountain goat and a smile that never faded, even on the toughest ascents. And our supporting staff—Raste Tamang, Bishnu Tamang, and Suman Tamang—played an enormous role in making this journey what it was. Their professionalism, kindness, and constant optimism made us feel supported, safe, and inspired every single day. I’m genuinely grateful to them—not just for helping us reach a milestone, but for making the entire adventure meaningful, joyful, and truly unforgettable.

Mt Toubkal 5* - Sahara 1* The Mt Toubkal trek was one of the best things I’ve done and will be recommending it to everyone. Our group really gelled and we were well looked after. Our guide Mohammad was so attentive and made sure we all made it to the top and back down safely even when some of our group felt the altitude and suffered from bad altitude sickness. The food was really good too. It does require a good level of fitness and summit day is long but the views are so worth it. Don’t do the Sahara part of the trip. Myself and my friend were put in situations we shouldn’t have been put in on this part of the trip and did not enjoy it. The driver we had was unsafe and it’s long days of nothing but driving (which we knew going into it) but none of it felt authentic and we didn’t feel safe at all. That being said, when our concerns were raised Lahouceine, our head guide in Imlil, was excellent and did all he could to make sure our concerns were addressed. Him and Mustafa, his driver, went out of their way to pick us up early and it made a difference and they reassured us. They were excellent and made sure we didn’t finish our trip with a sour taste.

Fantastic experience. Extremely well organised and will definitely use Skyhook again. The accommodation at Imlil was very cosy and comfortable. The people were very friendly and welcoming. The guides were amazing. They were so in tune with the needs of the group and adapted the pace to suit the needs of everyone. They kept a close eye on us as we pushed for the summit and they really made it a very enjoyable experience. Thank you.

Due to a postponement from a group, I ended up as the only guest on this tour, which wasn't ideal for me or the the organiser. However they didnt cut any corners and looked after me very well. The accommodation for the first and third nights was very welcoming and for 1 person outstanding! Normally there would be 4 in my room with a shared ensuite. The food very good too, thanks Lahoucine for making an extra lunch when I came arrived earlier than expected on day 3. Delicious. For the refuge on day 2, bring ear plugs and a blindfold and make sure nobody closes the window unless it is ridiculously cold! You won't sleep much and the downhill hike on day 2 is long and slippy. Amazing landscape, so glad I did it. It isnt a walk in the park and some steepish up and down training would be recommended.

It was brilliant! Our guides (OA and Woo - no idea how they were spelt! 🤣) were fantastic. Food was memorable too - OA even dug out some bamboo worms for one of our party to try!!!! (He loved them!!) Very good communication in advance and during the trip. Highly recommend the Tuk Tuk Club.

Amazing, fantastic, would thoroughly recommend this trip! I suggested this trip to a few friends over a year ago as it was on my list of things to do, and after a little research settled on this one. After booking the flights I confess to having put no extra thought into it until the last minute, but I didn't need to as our guides took care of us all and ensured we had a blast. The guides are super nice guys who took on a bunch of 6 middle aged misfits from the UK and let us have fun. We loved every moment of this trip, from the initial training, to driving the tuk tuks, feeding the elephants, riding on the bamboo rafts, and more. Our accommodation was superb, with the second one overlooking beautiful rice fields, and all of the food was excellent, including the bugs they sourced for us! Overall this was an amazing trip, we're sold on the beauty and friendliness of northern Thailand, as well as the Tuk Tuk Club who did an amazing job. If you go with these guys you're sure to have an excellent and fun holiday.

This was an amazing experience and very well organised and managed. Our guide, Lucen, was great and looked after our group very professionally. He made sure we kept together and walked at a slow enough pace for all of us. The food was also amazing and plenty for everyone. The summit day was tough and I was feeling quite tired just before we reached the top. It was then a long hike back down to Imlil. Luckily the weather was fine, not too cold, no wind or snow. I'd recommend good gloves, though, as my fingers got cold in the morning. The refuge (the French one) was OK, with (scalding) hot showers and good food. Didn't get much sleep though! All in all, I'd highly recommend this tour. I'm 70 years old: if I can do it, then you can too!

Booked a trip of 16 to climb Mt Toubkal in October 2025. It was genuinely one of the best (and hardest) experience of my life. We all said the same. As a group of oddballs everyone made it to the top. Ages ranged from 22 to 64, varying fitness levels and weight levels even me suffering treatment for prostate cancer. Skyhook and there in country reps and guides were brilliant from first contact to saying good bye. This trip is not for the faint hearted but if you can complete it will stay with you for life. Thanks again to Skyhook and crew.

I am sure you will be a great lead guide in your future And last but not least, supporting staff - Santosh Xettri and Ashish Rai - our strongest Nepali BOYS, Didn't have a chance to know you better but will remember you as working incredibly hard but always positive and with smiles. We all know without you we wouldn't be able to make EBC trek possible. Will be always grateful for you for carrying those crazy heavy bags Without a doubt Everest Base camp is an incredibly beautiful and breathtaking trek but leader Rosan Rai with his amazing team made this challenging trek an incredible Journey to us - I will be always grateful and will miss you always. Definitely, recommend Skyhook for anyone wanting to successfully trek EBC.

I completed the trip in Oct 2025, The trip over all was amazing, the guides were great, thank you all so much for looking after us and the food from the cooks was amazing, never eaten so much on a hike like this. I loved meeting the rest of the guys on the trip and hopefully we will keep in touch. what a great bunch of people. The Hike up to the Base Camp was nice and steady, giving us plenty of time to talk and get to know each other, the Base camp it self was very busy but the guides sort everything out and keep us feed and watered well. The night before the walk was interesting, sharing a bunk room with about 30 people, we was up at 2:45 so it made it interesting to try and get ready quietly. my only moan about the whole trip was the ladders getting up to the top bunks, not great!. Set of for the summit at 3:15am, great to feel so close to the stars and kept company by the dog. its was great to be at the top in time for the sun rise, even thou it was very busy. then the descent, back to base camp for lunch and sort out kit for the mules, then the long walk back to Imlil, anyone doing this trip with just the 1 night stay at base camp be ready for a 12/14 hours summit day. But still wow, what great views and my first time for me above 4000m. the path from the summit to the Base Camp can be a bit slippery but the guides are great and help all the way. The trip was amazing and would definitely recommend using Skyhook as everything was sorted and the transfer even sorted out an extra taxi for me back to my Hotel. Thank you again to the Guides and skyhook for an amazing trip.

Special mention to Alma, Zamo, Erind and Jimmy who made us feel so welcome and are very proud to show you there beautiful country. I cannot recommend this trek until Skyhook/Ashante Tours addresses life-threatening safety failures, poor equipment, and unacceptable catering. Critical Failures & Safety Risks Life-Threatening Safety Deficiencies: Our group was split into three on summit day, yet we were provided with only one oxygen cylinder and zero communication between guides. This led to a direct failure: a group member needed oxygen but could not receive it because the single cylinder was elsewhere. This level of risk is reckless and far below industry standards. Unacceptable Food and Nutrition: The food was abysmal in both quality and quantity. For multiple days, portions were so small (estimated under 1000 kcal per day) we had to ration spoonfuls so everyone received something. Meals often consisted of basic pasta/vegetables cooked with low-quality sauce (ketchup). Breakfast was watery porridge and a fraction of an egg. The post-climb meal was also a disaster, running out before our entire group could eat. Defective Equipment: All accommodation was damaged and leaking. Sleeping tents were patched with gaffer tape, had broken zips, and leaked profusely. The mess tent was also leaking and falling apart. Positive Note The porters and guides were universally excellent and worked tirelessly to support us despite the systemic failures of the equipment and provisioning provided by the tour company. Their effort was the only positive aspect of the trip. Conclusion It is unacceptable that these same critical issues were flagged in public reviews six months ago, and nothing has been done to improve safety or basic service. My entire group is submitting a formal complaint and requesting a partial refund. Do not book until Skyhook confirms demonstrable, verifiable improvements have been made to Ashante Tours’ operations.

I have just returned from Kilimanjaro just over a week ago and I have to say I feel very let down by skyhook. I completed the 8 day lemosho route with 11 friends. Our guide company was Ahshante tours. Before I go on I just want to say how amazing the guides and porters were, they went above and beyond to help and look after us on our trek. However, I found there to be many negatives on our experience: 1. The tents we stayed were very dated, for someone who has camped my whole life and is used to camping, I woke every morning feeling cold and damp. The zip on our tent kept breaking, as well as the toilet and mess tent! 2. Again for someone who is used to camping and has been on previous expeditions, I felt the food we were given was not enough for our party of 12 people. We had to ration our portions so that everyone had enough, also I feel we did not have enough calories given to us and for that I really did not have much energy on summit night. We were a group of 12 people all who had appetites and on such expeditions where we are climbing to over 5000m we need to be consuming a high amount of calories every day! 3. On summit night our group was split into 3, this to me I found very emotional as coming down I passed two members of my group who did not look well (these two members were split separately and both could have benefited from oxygen) and between these groups there was only 1 oxygen cyclinder!!! One was needed close to the summit and the oxygen cylinder was almost back as base camp by this point. Communication failed in this incident and we felt very let down with regards to safety at this point. I remember when I got back down to base camp I could not rest as I knew members of my group were still on the mountain. I feel very let down here, for such a huge trip I expected my group to feel safe and looked after and not got through such emotional and traumatic stress when trying to complete such an achievement. Once again I could never fault our guides and porters, they worked so hard and we ensured our group gave a generous tip at the end of the trek. My worry was that these amazing guides and porters would not even see half of the money.

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We’re very sorry to hear that your Kilimanjaro experience did not meet expectations. While we’re glad to hear the local guides and porters made a strong impression, it’s disappointing to learn that other aspects of the trip fell short. We’ve been in direct contact with your group representative to address these concerns and work toward a fair resolution. Our Kilimanjaro climb was a frustrating mix of hard work by the local guides and porters, and poor organisation by Ashante Tours, the operator contracted by Skyhook. The porters and guides were incredible — they carried huge loads, kept camp running, and did their best to keep everyone motivated. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience didn’t live up to what we paid for. The tents were old and often damp, food was repetitive and inadequate for the altitude, and the oxygen system wasn’t properly managed when needed — which felt unsafe. For the price (about $2,700 per person), it was upsetting to see how little of that money reached the team doing the real work. Even with a generous tip pool of over $3,000 from our group, the porters received around $90 each — roughly the equivalent of a month’s Tanzanian wage — while the company clearly kept the majority. Skyhook should take responsibility for the conditions their subcontractors provide and ensure fair pay, safe equipment, and proper nutrition for climbers and crew alike.

I booked the 24-hour Three Peaks Challenge with Skyhook Adventures for last Friday. Unfortunately, I injured my back a few days before and couldn’t attend. I tried to contact them several times in advance—phoning on multiple occasions and sending an email—just to ask if I could change the date. I never got a response then, and I still haven’t had a reply now. Very disappointing communication and customer service. I’ll be booking with a different agency in the future. £475 was the price too. Did manage to contact the tour guide Simon himself and told him I couldn't attend.

Reply by Mountaineerin Ltd:
Hi AJ, Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we’re very sorry to hear about your injury just before the challenge. We’ve checked our records and can confirm that we received your cancellation query on 24 September and responded to it within an hour. We’re very sorry if you missed that reply. As your cancellation came only a couple of days before the trip, we weren’t able to offer a date change at that late stage. This is in line with our booking terms, which we do need to apply consistently to all guests. We completely understand how disappointing it must have been to miss out after preparing for the challenge, and we do hope you’ll be able to rebook and take on the Three Peaks with us in the future when you’re feeling fit again. Please feel free to reach out to us if you still have questions. Kind regards, The Skyhook Team

A proper adventure! DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THIS MOUNTAIN!! Every step and every meter is earned on Mount Toubkal. The company was 1st class, friendly and very well run. The accommodation in Imlil was lovely and hosted by friendly staff. The route to Base Camp was impressive, stunning views and challenging sections. Lots of places to stop for refreshments and supplies if required. Base Camp.... it is what it is - that's all I'll say. It does the job. However you are rewarded with stunning views of our Milky Way Galaxy if you set your phone up properly. Absolutely stunning!! The route to the Summit was paced correctly and we got to see the sun rise. An experience I'll forever be grateful for. We as a group had some slight confusion over the way 'tips' are handled between the Mule Staff / Cooks and our Guide. The etiquette had to be explained to us as we only thought we had to tip our guide. I believe some friction was encountered between them. I have been assured that this was an internal political issue between the staff and nothing to do with how much we had given as a tip. It would have been good to have had a proper introduction to ALL of the team who were joining us on the trek. It would have given us a chance to bond with the Muleteers / Cooks a little more. The staff were brilliant and it was an excellent experience. Thank you.
