What a fantastic trip. Learning to handle a canoe in fantastic setting. I'm always happy to wild camp, but along lochs in the Highlands with a guide that makes fabulous food, really knows their stuff and with a good group of people made this special adventure exceptional.

Such a fabulous week. From start to finish communication was great; our guide Rory was brilliant … gave us all confidence, patience, and amazing food and snacks all week. His porridge and bacon butties made getting out of a wet tent soooo much easier! Would totally recommend this trip. Thank you to everyone who made it so much fun!

I was on a Tour du Mont Blanc hike with Oli as the tour guide / hike leader from August 3 – 12, 2024 and I wanted to take this opportunity to complement Oli on how he led the group of 10 hikers over the course of 10 days. I do feel, as a hike leader of my hiking club, that Oli demonstrated a great deal of patience and excellent leadership skills during the 10 days we were together. As with any group who have not hiked together before, there were hikers who were faster than others and Oli took care to maintain a pace that was good for all members and often stayed with the slower group to ensure that no one felt that they were left behind. He made sure to give everyone a briefing each day on what to expect the next day and pointed out “points of interest” during the hike. He was also very patient with all members of the group and handled any questions or concerns with grace and patience. On a more humorous note, I think his picnic lunches were better that then the lunches prepared by the various refugios we stayed at. In summary, I felt that Oli made a challenging 10-day adventure, doable and enjoyable. Please pass on my compliments to Oli and let him know how much I appreciated his leadership.

This was an amazingly beautiful hike through valleys, pastures and woodlands reaching very remote spots and high places where we felt on top of the world! Lolotte was a lovely relaxed guide who clearly loves her job and we were blessed with 4 days of gorgeous sunshine. Do a little hill walking training if you are considering this trip as the ascents can be steep and lengthy, but very achievable and there is no rush. I would definitely do this hike again as I loved every minute of it :)

They were so encouraging of our children and we felt a real sense of accomplishment when we made it to lochness despite the very wet weather conditions. Compliments to Jules for the homemade cakes, flapjacks and of the water snacks. Thank you vic for the fire despite the very wet sticks and the endless hot drinks that kept us nice and warm! Thank you so much for everything. Feel free to use any of our photos. Ceri and Niki xx

We had the best adventure! It wasn't quite the trip I had been expecting as it was much more 'wild' than supported. But that added to the adventure. It was well organised, beautiful scenery and lovely company. Geoff and James were fantastic guides, we always felt like we were in safe hands even when the wind and waves got up a bit. You do need a certain level of fitness and stamina to cope and an adventure mindset. The food G and J prepared each day for us was great and the treat barrel kept us all going! Hope to do another one sometime soon. Would highly recommend to those who like the outdoors, can rough it for a few days in order to see Scotland in a different light from the water!

Our guide Laurence is amazing! She keeps the entire group safe and entertained. She patiently waited for us when we struggle (with the heat and backpacks) pointed out few Marmot along the way. If we are booking this again, i would love to have her be out guide. Great tour. Another thing to consider (if possible) is to have an option (when booking) for backpack/luggage transfer from and to accommodations that are accessible by car, this will make the tour more enjoyable.

It was great, great location, scenery etc. Food was great, we were well looked after. The guides Sam and Robson, looked after us .. they coached us to nicely build our skills during the week so when it came to the hard part we were ready, and it was tough but thrilling.... only thing I could recommend might be, if you know in advance re. The 60l bag also included tent and sleeping bag and mat, I would have packed differently. Also, we got a lot of rain the first day, if there was suggestion to bring a temporary clothes line and cover, would have been great. We were able to dry clothes kind of by fire. It's a little thing that could improve the comfort, especially if say we had 2 days of heavy rain. But then again it is wild camping. But overall great, really enjoyed it... got in for a dip in the lakes most days also.. and of course guides were great.

Our guide Grigor was ace, not only did he lead the way but he was very knowledgeable about the local area, wildlife and flowers. The scenery was more than my eyes could believe, it has been so beautiful to say the least. This hike is not for faint hearted. What a fantastic trip this was. We ended on being a few hours late due to a delayed flight so Skyhook ensured a private taxi was arranged to collect us as the delay meant be missed the transfer. We ended up arriving at the accommodation around midnight but despite this, a table was layed out for us and we were given an entire meal which we were so grateful for after a long journey and quite a stressful day. The trip was really well organised and run by a friendly and knowledgable team including our hosts, the guides and the chef who prepared our food each day which was lovely. First of all a massive shout out to Camilla who had to deal with 8 rowdy Welsh lads and welcomed and accepted us straight away with no judgement, wot a lovely woman absolute star. Also there was 2 other girls in our group who accepted our banter lol so we all had a good time, it was amazing. This was my first group trip out of the US and I and a great time. Rebeccas, you did a great job keeping us informed of the agenda for each day, keeping us all on track, and instructing us on the ins and outs of kayaking. I know it's hard to fix meals while camping; however, you did a good job picking the meals for each day. You are a very personable person; which is a good trait for someone who does what you do. :) My only thought is if there might be another snack item besides chocolate. Don't get me wrong I love chocolate; however, I had gotten my fill by the last day. Maybe I'll see you again on another adventure!

The 4 day Highlights trip exceeded expectations on all levels. Good organisation, lovely fellow travelers and an excellent guide (Guy Martin). The hiking was challenging but the onus was on us as a group to support each other and this really helped us to bond from the outset. The accommodation was basic (shared dormitories and bunk beds) but we had warm showers at each refuge and the food was plentiful and nutritious. There was also a bar at each location, so we were able to spend time relaxing and socialising as a group. Guy Martin was patient and great company, always ready to point out interesting historical and environmental facts. We will definitely be booking with Alps Adventures again and can highly recommend this trip if you want a challenge and an uplifting experience!

From the first meeting point to the final drop off James & Pete were amazing. They kept you informed, safe and most importantly FED. The group of people equally made the trip the best experience, we instantly came together each assuming a roll in camp, from the fire starter (Alex) to the Kelly Kettle blower (Jess) Wild camping was a scream particularly my favourite was camp 3.. Hopefully the next group get to experience the amazing sound vision and visits that we had. Fort Augustus was the highlight for us, stepping on to the varied adventure across Loch Ness was awesome the scenery the stillness of water to the rage of the waves allowing us to sail amid the shrieks and shrills of excitement with the odd sing song as we came back together. The final evening treat, dinner and a pint was in my opinion truly deserved. I believe we had the the best weather that allowed us to experience all canoeing has to offer, best guides that showed us the best way to enjoy canoeing and the best group of people to poop in a hole while everyone pretends they can’t see you! Thank you All

I don't know what to say here. The trip was great. Our guide was knowledgeable, fun, helpful, a good cook, and had all the tarp shelter accoutrements needed for four nights on the lochs. when the wind whipped up some 4'+ waves at the end of Loch Ness, things got a little hairy, but our guide is a PUK instructor and had already figured out where we were good and bad at paddling, helped us with tips on what to do and how, and let us ride the waves for as long as possible before helping us raft our boats together for a little more stability. No spills, no excessively wet tents, just five camping days of excellent scenery and a trip I couldn't forget if I tried. Challenging for sure, but approachable with the right mindset and a desire for a little adventure. My wife is a firm novice in canoes and did splendidly. I would do this again in a heartbeat if I didn't have so much more of the country to explore. This excursion was every bit the most memorable and important part of our trip to scotland.

This was an amazing trip. The landscape was beautiful, the food was good, and we had a wonderful time. Sam, our guide, was fantastic. Friendly, funny, and an excellent paddler. I don't really camp so I had a lot of concerns about that part of the trip. My primary concern was the lack of bathrooms as it is wild camping. That being said, there were a few places with facilities along the way. Lack of bathrooms should not dissuade you from doing the trip, the scenery alone was worth peeing in the woods. I had fewer concerns about the canoeing part of the trip but did not expect it to be easy. You will be paddling 100 km total and for hours each day. Things to consider when packing: You'll be carrying the canoes and camping equipment around the lochs, consider that in your shoe choices. Your feet will get wet. I always had a pair of dry socks for the end of the day and was thankful that I did. You probably don't need to bring as much clothing as you think. I'm definitely a “it's better to have and not need” person but I'll admit I over packed.

The accommodation in the first refugio Benevolo was below expectations but the other two were decent, however meals and accommodation were still rather basic. I give 1 for Akis because he was very people-unfriendly as a guide: no one was allowed to go ahead of him, he barely talked to us, he could not stand slow people (this could be seen from his expression). Twice I asked him to wait for my friend who had asthma. The first time he went to get her to put them in the front of the group (so it was moving forward). The second time he pretended not to hear me. In the refuge there was no shower and toilet available. The least they could do was give water. Lunch the next day was also very poor. Vassilis, on the other hand, deserves a 5. He went back down with us, was patient, friendly, talked to us and even took us back to our accommodation and tour guided us in Litochoro.

Fantastic 4 day hiking experience, our guide (Tom G) was brilliant, he seemed to have an answer for every question, be it about geology, flora, fauna, clouds, food recommendations etc, he was impossible to catch out. He was always kind and attentive making sure the whole group felt included. The actual tour was jaw dropping, great climbs, great views and a chance to make new friends. I would recommend this hike to anyone with a decent level of fitness, you don't need to be a mountain goat but you do need a good level of stamina and the ability to put one foot in front of the other for 30k steps per day, most of which is on an incline. Will definitely be back, thanks AlpsAdventures and special thanks to Tom G!

It says half-board but we did not receive any breakfast on the first day, nor could we buy some at the start of the hike. Yo be on the save side i had bought bread so i could quickely eat while walking at the start of the hike, at 6 AM. It would be great to clarify which meals we have to take with us, which ones are available to buy from the huts and which ones are covered in the price.

Our guide Ben was brilliant ! Very knowledgeable and supported everyone. The accommodation was ok , but the mini bus was very poor. I think for this type of trip you need to be as comfortable as possible between peaks . Also had to do a driver change in the middle of the night which was very inconvenient. There were other groups from the same company who had lovely mini buses so I thought that was unfair . Other than that was great.

The organization of the trip was good in all respects. It should have been in the form for the trip to check if a sleeping bag was needed or not, because there was confusion and some sleeping bags missing. Nordic Paddling had the best guide I have ever met, a young Danish girl, Kamilla, absolutely on point, balanced, calm but very clear and set clear lines. This group was very coordinated and everyone had a good sense of responsibility and participated in everything in common, but if there is not such a group, it is very difficult for one guide to lead such a large group, I recommend having one assistant with the guide. Best trip ever thanks.

I recently completed my Hike, Kayak and Wild Camp the Norwegian Fjords trip. I booked through Skyhook and the trip was organized by the local company Nordic Paddling AS. Communication and information was very good and I felt I had all the information I needed for the trip. Everything around the trip was well organized by Nordic Paddling from A-Z and I would especially like to give our guide, Camilla, my best recommendation. She has all the planning at 110%, is fun, knowledgeable about the area, keeps the group well together and makes everyone feel good. I give Nordic Paddling and Camilla my highest recommendation, I found this a great and memorable trip and I recommend it to all outdoor lovers who like wild camping as well.

A good experience in a beautiful setting and a very friendly group of walkers and guide. Thanks Skyhooks for putting this on. I would like however to suggest 1 or 2 improvements. I believe Skyhooks/Alp adventures needs to pay slightly more for refuge breakfasts/dinners for walkers. On the last morning the breakfast i'm afraid for example was stale bread and some chocolate spread. This affects group atmosphere and motivation. (Eggs/cereal eg would have been a big improvement). The refuge had lots of food (at lunchtime eg the paid lunches looked excellent). A second point is that the travelling time to aosta valley should be mentioned in the itinerary. It is 2 hours from Turin to the valley, which when added to possibly 6 hours travel time and 2 flights from the UK is substantial. Travellers of course should check out this detail themselves beforehand however i believe mentioning it would assist their preparation. The review NB should be about a 4.5 score- but there isn't this option:) Hope this helps- Thanks and keep up the good work.

Outstanding experience. Highly recommended for a first time mountain walker. The walking was challenging but totally achievable with a moderate level of fitness. Sometimes it was a struggle, but totally worth it for the views and sense of achievement. An excellent holiday where I met wonderful people who were very supportive and made me laugh. The walking at times was very challenging, but with Alana as our guide we were in safe hands, after she explained about the walking poles, crossing rivers and glaciers became a little easier. The Alps are stunning well worth the uphill climbs. The accommodation was basic but clean, the food was hearty and plentiful. Overall an amazing experience which I highly recommend just make sure you do your training and wear decent boots. Happy walking.

Spectacular scenery (well worth the effort), so well organised and a great introduction to multi-day hiking. Our safety was of the utmost importance to our guide Alena who looked after us exceptionally well across snowfields and rivers which can be tricky this time of year and from whom we learnt so much (who knew there was so much technique to using walking poles!). Top tips: pack light, the more training beforehand, the more enjoyable the challenge.

I would 100% recommend this trip. It was super well organised, the scenery was beautiful and varied, the hikes provided a good level of challenge and sense of achievement, and overall the trip gave a feeling of getting away from it all while also making the most of the time away. Peter was an excellent guide - super knowledgeable about the mountains and the local area, organised, personable and had plenty of good tips for hiking. The accommodation was really comfortable, with good food. The weather was close to perfect during the trip in early July - near the end of one hike it started to rain (which can happen when you're in the mountains, so make sure you pack a raincoat just in case), but the rest of the time it was lovely and sunny (so sun cream and some insect repellent are needed too!).

My wife and I loved our trip. Views are spectacular each day in a different way no matter the weather (we had a soggy day and hot day and everything in between), route is very achievable for anyone with basic fitness - picking the best 4 days of a famous 9 day trail, group size is perfect and makes it very friendly, guide Tom was excellent; patient, encouraging and flexible. So nice to get away, fresh air, beauty, new friends, good conversations. Food was great (plenty of cheese and potatoes), enjoyed a regular hot chocolate on the mountains with lunch and a couple drinks or beers every night. Accomodation was comfortable (take some ear plugs!), drying rooms available, even a sauna our final night!, transfers easy. Website has all the info you need. Money is so worth it. Thanks Guide Tom for making it memorable (especially your day 3 on trail boogy)!

Sorry for delay on this...its been crazy since back! What an experience, definitely one for the memory banks with lots of epic photos! Firstly my partner and I could not fault Sandra Kakkuri at all, she was the most grounded, level headed and attentive guide we've ever met! Going over and above at times to ensure all our well-being and safety. The weather elevated the kayaking and camping to new levels and although I knew wild camping meant roughing it...this was an area that could really be improved to ensure a more happy time. The communal area needed to be dry (no leaks in tent) and with a safety heater inside with possible seating to help with the harsh elements. Prepping food was a challenge but we managed it....a flat table would of helped. Appreciate adding more kit is not easy but having no pillows or maybe being told there are no pillows so we could prep accordingly would of helped for a better nights sleep. Also the dry suits need a bit of attention....the sleeves on some especially mine let in water and having no rack or drying area for them resulted in not using them on the last kayak session as so wet, we ended up wearing our waterproof coats on top with all our layers. You can't help the weather and other times I'm sure would be much easier to manage if the sun was shining and everything was dry but keeping kit dry or having a place to get it dry, including us, would make for a much better time and I would up my 3 Star rating. The only other thing is the 1st night in the log cabin....lovely location, great food and lovely lovely people making us very welcome. We were advised the bed sheets may not be that clean so we used the sleeping bags we rented...as its the first impression of the trip it would be good to ensure a good nights sleep with clean sheets and a decent pillow, especially as you are wild camping for the rest of the experience. These tweaks will ensure keeping a wider age range of people happy. I love the great outdoors and have roughed it many a time with all the outdoor elements but when you pay for a trip there are somethings that you just need to have in place to ensure a more comfortable experience especially if the weather is against you. The Norway Fjord rocked and I would love to return when there is less rain....coming from England I don't need loads of sunshine just a bit less rain ;o) Thanks again for adding to my memories...bring on the next adventure! x

We had the most incredible trip with Wilbert! The experience and adventure he takes you on is truly a trip of a lifetime. We’re both single females in our 30s and he took care of us like a father figure and was super knowledgeable of Machu Picchu and the Inca history, especially since his family is from that area. It was nice because he catered to our needs as well. We’re in decent physical shape but definitely struggled with some of the heights and so he pushed us but also arranged transport when needed. I would definitely train 3 months in advance if you’re not already an experienced hiker. You also need to bring a significant amount of Sol (at least 400) for tips throughout the trip (i.e. drivers, raft guides, zip line instructors, water and snacks throughout the way, etc). The food was all very good (mostly chicken, tomatoes, rice, potatoes, vegetable soups) and we never felt unsafe eating anything. The hostels were all very clean. Would highly recommend to anyone as it’s a memorable experience that’ll last a lifetime! And hopefully you’ll get Wilbert as your guide as he is like the Mayor of Cusco and takes phenomenal photos and videos of you!

Hi. Sam and Ronson were clearly great instructors and very experienced and got us through this trip. Food was amazing so well done to them. A lot of hard work. One downside. I did not appreciate that someone who was tied to our canoe was alowed to drink alcohol while we were paddling. Instructors aware but failed to do anything about it although they said they could not condone it. Not good enough when we were tied to them. Health and safety at its worst. Please don’t let this happen to anyone else.

The 4-day tour with Roberto was a very special experience. It was a difficult course because we could not keep the original route due to the floods in the Italian Alps. There was a lot of snow in the mountains, we didn't expect that when we booked the tour. But Roberto was a great leader. He guided us through every difficulty. He devoted himself to helping those who had problems on the mountain. And although the "2nd day" was extremely hard and full of obstacles, I always felt safe. Still, I wouldn't recommend the program for beginner hikers, but for experienced hikers looking for a challenge, it's a great program, and Roberto is an excellent guide, a fun person, and knows the mountain very well. It was a bit difficult up there on the mountain, but afterwards the memories are beautiful and I am happy that I was able to overcome the obstacles. And I think I got over my fear of the deep :-)

They kept in communication throughout our flight delays, which was hugely reassuring. Mark (our guide) was very knowledgeable and organised. As a large group of 10 hikers of varying levels of experience, this would have been a challenge, but he remained calm and patient throughout the trip and we all had the most amazing time. We had great group people to do this challenge with of varying abilities and Ian made sure those who were quicker could do their pace safely, so everyone enjoyed their time on the hills. For anyone thinking of doing this challenge be aware, its not easy. The lack of sleep is challenge for everyone to deal with as well as spending 10 hours in a minibus which isn't designed for comfort, but this is all part of the challenge. For tackling the 3 mountains, a good level of fitness is required to make it as enjoyable as possible.

The trek itself was stunningly beautiful and diverse at this time of year. We went through beautiful meadows of wild flowers to snowy peaks. Sensational. Sensatinal. Sensational. Not much more to say. But I will ... If you have a reasonable level of fitness, like a challenge and fabulous views, this could be the trip for you. Throw in an amazing guide, good friends, mountain refuges and epic weather and you have the perfect trek. Even if you don't get fab weather, the Tour du Mont Blanc will be an amazing experience. The videos in the FAQ suggest not to take too many snacks as snacks are available on the route. I suggest you take some and replenish when you can. What the videos emphasise is keep weight down. This is a must. Go minimal. You are in the monutains and don't need much other than to be ready for all seasons. Would I do this again? Absolutely. But some different ones first. Thank you Christel for all the added stories and trek enhancing information and thank you Tom for setting up Alps Adventures. Fabulous.

I loved everything about this trip. The views were fantastic and we hiked through all different terrains and weather. We had the best guide you could have wished for. Bill O'Cinnor a bit of a legend in the hiking community pretty much climbed all over the world. He rarely guides on this tour now so we really lucked out. My group were fantastic and we jelled so well together. Already planning a reunion. If I have one thing I would change though that would be to not put us all in one dormitory on first night as we were strangers and I personally felt a little awkward and therefore didn't sleep so well which is not good for a 20km walk with a big accent. Anyway if you love hiking I highly recommend you take the trip. It's an adventure to remember.

Brilliant trip from start to finish! We had an incredible guiding duo of Bill and his wife Sallie and I can not speak high enough on their knowledge of the area, the walks, the fauna and generally history of the area. Accommodation was good, the only slight negative I would mention is the room at Bonatti was not ideal for a mixed group of 14 of variable ages. The other two nights were great accommodation and good food also. The route was great tough at times but just what I was looking for. The final piece that made this such a memorable break was the group of people I shared the experience with; an awesome group! Would I recommend it? You bet I would!

We bonded well as a group, the weather was agreeable, and the whole experience was very positive. To wake up each morning to the views we could see was something that should not be missed. Would recommend this venture to anyone keen on walking and who enjoys the mountains.

Our trip started with quite a bit of uncertainty due to the extreme flooding in the Randa valley. Tom and his team pulled together an incredible 4 day hike for us in the Diablerets range at literally the last minute. The beauty of the pastures and valleys plus the fact we felt we had the mountains to ourselves is hard to describe. Charles our guide was probably one of the most chilled, funny, kind and knowledgeable guys you could wish to meet. He kept us safe especially on the 3rd day when a storm came through and we were due to be hiking through a section called the bear cave. Very cool experience and certainly got the pulse racing for a bit. The group were amazing and such good craic and really pulled together on a real tough 3rd day when we all struggled. I couldn't recommend Tom, Charles, Lou and Alps Adventures enough and I certainly will be booking another trip with them in the future❤️

I would 100% recommend this Tour du Mont Blanc trip! I had a holiday of a lifetime and the views are exceptional. We had such a good group to go trekking with and our guide Mark was incredibly supportive, patient and knowledgeable. It’s certainly challenging but absolutely worth the effort. Loved the accommodation, particularly the Bonatti refuge on the first night. Loved every minute, thank you!

I loved every minute of this trip. Our guide, Mark, was great, incredibly accommodating and knew the mountains like the back of his hand. We got to see some stunning vistas throughout France, Italy & Switzerland and always ended the day tired, but not wrecked. Finally, everyone in the group were great company so we made some great friends along the way. I'd recommend this to anyone with a reasonable level of fitness

Just completed the 4 day Mont Blanc with Alps adventures with Paul as our guide and I have to say that both Tom (alps adventures) and Paul (guide) have created an adventure coupled with health & safety in mind and the customer/ client will always be put first, they look after you so well from providing crampons (required this particular trip) and Paul giving you so much interesting info along the route around plants and wildlife (loved the fun facts). I went as a solo traveller and they ensure you are integrated within the group so you don't feel excluded. They sort accommodation, lunches for every day aside from day one which is down to you to arrange (you pay for all the lunches but what we got, was very good value). If you go with Alps Adventures, then it's essential you read the FAQs around levels of fitness and ensure you are in good shape to participate and most importantly, enjoy an exciting adventure with scenery which is out of this world...don't dither any longer and get it booked with Alps Adventures - thank you for a wonderful experience!

Nearly perfect. In my opinion, though, the Toubkal would require one more day or, at least, a notice on how demanding is for those unexperienced. Some extra info regarding the services available at Merzouga would be welcome: amenities and food both in the shuttle hotel and the desert camp.

Absolutely unforgettable trip. Well organised. The itinerary was monitored and changed according to the weather conditions etc. If you read the trip details and watch Tom's videos on youtube before you go you are somewhat prepped for what you are about to experience but nothing can prepare you for the views (weather dependent) We pretty much went through the four seasons during our 4 days. Grigor our guide was always at hand to advise. Whether it was to answer questions 'how long till the next stop' 'how far today' 'is there somewhere we can stop and have a wee' or just to advise on what best to wear in respects of predicted weather. By the end of the trek he definitely felt like one of the team rather than just the guide. I found Day 2 the most challenging day but by that doesn't that mean the rest of the days were easy. They were all challenging in their own different way. However there are regular breaks and we were lucky to have such a great team of people in our group. Bring earplugs as its shared accommodation and you will no doubt encounter snorers zzz and sleep or lack of it will definitely impact on the experience.

I've just come back from the most wonderful 4 day group hike, led by Grigor from Alps Adventures. In total 13 of us completed the 'Tour de Mont Blanc Highlights' hike, starting in Courmayeur in Italy and taking us through Switzerland and then on to Le Tour near Chamonix. Even though the weather wasn't always great, we had a blast - challenging ourselves physically and mentally, eating wonderful food (the mountainside rosti on day 3 was to die for), learning all about the local flora and fauna in each area that we passed through (Grigor has an incredible bank of knowledge to draw upon, which kept us captivated throughout!) and forging real friendships as the days passed. I honestly can't recommend it highly enough! Every single one of us left excited about being able to book our next trip. It was genuinely life affirming.

We are not the fittest , but Ian and the whole group encouraged us and we completed the National 3 Peaks in 3 days successfully. Darren , our bus driver was also very courteous , supportive and funny. The Hotel accomodation and transportation arrangements were perfect. It was indeed very satisfying and rewarding experience. Keep up the good work. I would highly recommend Skyhook as a company for your adventure holiday.

Amazing experience. Our guide Christele was a inpiring lady, full of enthusiasm and information for this trip. This particular week proved very difficult due to the weather but she was "on the ball" the whole time...truly a pleasure to have been in her company. Organisation excellent. Food and accommodations all good (a couple of cold showers) but supply/demand in remote locations governed this. On a downside...I think the fitness level needs to be emphasized...... Would definitely choose this company again.

Fantastic does not adequately describe how great this trip is . The scenery, the food, wild camping and the two guides geoff and James are second to none. They made it fun interesting and made us feel safe the whole trip . Weather was mixed. Food was plentiful and beautifully cooked . If James ever decides to change career a job as a chef would be no problem to him. 100% recommend this trip . Don't overpack as dry bag has your tent sleeping mat and has to hold sleeping bag as well as bag for personal stuff .pic of orange dry bag attached for ref The group worked together on the portage which can be hard going but I would do it all again in a heartbeat

What a brilliant experience this was! I have recently returned from 4 days of canoeing and wild camping across Scotland from Fort William to inverness. This was such an adventure and I thoroughly enjoyed all aspects... The camping , comradery, canoeing and indeed Sailing as loch ness itself being like an inland sea allows sails to be used. Overall a great trip with a knowledgeable, pleasant guide (Mark). The group worked well together and had many laughs and plenty of fun and drinks in the evenings. Accomodation was as expected apart from the first night when there were no spaces between the beds. Other nights were bunks which are fine when sharing with strangers. Breakfasts were ok, though no porridge, just mainly cereals, bread, jam, juice and coffee. We could have done with an extra 15 mins for breakfast, as 30 mins was tight. We had plenty of long breaks during the day and often finished early afternoon so there would have been time. Dinners were good 3 of 4 nights. The 2nd vegetarian curry was poor. I would recommend taking energy bars and protein bars if that's your thing. The huts en route tended to have crisps and chocolate, not for me as I'm an athlete :) I found the attitude of Tom (on arrival) somewhat condescending. My bag was weighed in at 12kg (fine for me) but I was told it was too heavy, then asked what was in it and was there anything that could be removed. No thought was given as to my fitness level or what prep I had done. I found the hiking quiet easy even though we started at 7am and had 3 heavy nights of apres hiking. Another experienced hiker who prefers to hike without poles was told "on your head be it" when he declined to take the poles offered. This minor criticism did not in any way ruin the trip. In fact we had a few laughs about it on the way round.

It has been one of the best adventures I have ever been to. Organisation, team, scenery, the group we had - everything was exceptional. Please pass on my thanks to everyone involved - drivers, organisers, refuge owners and everyone who made this happened for us. But the ones to mention specifically - our guides!!! Without them this would not happened at all! Gregory (our main guide) was an absolutely incredible person to be hiking with. He was so knowledgeable, supporting, an ultimate leader and such an inspiration! He made us feels looked after and safe all the time. He was always around to motivate and to answer any question. The wealth of knowledge he has about the mountains and his love to the nature is absolutely brilliant! I was the slowest person in the group and constant support I felt from Gregory is priceless. I never felt left behind or being a bother to others. He made me feel relaxed and guided and I have enjoyed every second of the trip. Tom (he was shadowing on this trip) was an absolute legend. Tom has stayed with us when my partner and I were behind the whole group. He adjusted his pace to our, was always nearby and same time we felt we are totally nailing it. Tom and his relaxed nature were extremely helpful to raise our motivation. Not to mention the Cheese Jokes - I think this must be a part of the tour as it certainly lifted spirits and helped me personally in moments where I felt really tired. Tom has really was more of a coach rather than a guide on this tour - he sure gave us a huge confidence boost. Both our guides and the whole team were amazing and caring. The love to nature everyone we met shares is so vivid! Mountains have long been my love and after this trip it is safe to say this love deepened and grown even more. Accommodation were lovely, food was great, the chat we had at meal times and during the day was just as wholesome as the hiking and nature itself. Thank you Gregory & Tom for this unforgettable experience. x

The Alps are purely amazing. Although the 4 days starts quite slowly it's a great adventure over tough terrain with absolutely beautiful scenery. Staying at 3 amazing refuges the evenings are an opportunity to reflect and discuss the days events. Grigor had a world of knowledge to share with us which he did in a very friendly and inviting way. He explained what we were doing and why, which actually added to the enjoyment of the trip. Accommodation was lovely and food was different but nice. I have already started to look at booking the Matahorn trip and would certainly look to see if I could get Grigor again as my guide, he was genuinely that good. An excellent few days in Taghazout bay. The Riad was a great base. Courtney and the staff are very welcoming, the traditional Moroccan dinners were delicious and the rooms were comfortable. The roof terrace was ideal for yoga and it was good to start each day with yoga and to have a relaxing yoga after surfing. I was new to surfing but soon felt more confident to have a go with Haitam’s teaching. A great mix of activities with opportunities to visit a spa, souk and eat out.

Wow! Just got back from this trip and it was superb. I travelled with a friend and We loved it. The riad, the accommodation and the homemade Moroccan food was perfect. (The cats and dogs around the place were a great addition too) Courtney was very friendly and looked after us very well. Haitam our surf instructor was great, enthusiastic, supportive and took care of us and our needs very well. We ate out a few times too and the places chosen were great too. I enjoyed the morning yoga sessions more than I thought I would too…it was lovely to be doing that up on the roof terrace. I am someone who struggled with some of the stretches as I’m not too flexible but this was ok and I was very much a beginner to surfing and this was ok too…I may not have made it up to standing on the surf board but I did make progress each day and I very much enjoyed the fun and experience.

Beautiful part of the world to canoe. More isolated than the Great Glen which I did 2 years ago. So peaceful with just our small group (4 plus Chucky our guide) and the wildlife for much of the trip. The weather was not kind to us. Rain I can cope with (waterproofs held up as did the supplied tent), but it was a shame we had headwind so much and couldn’t get as far on some days as planned. I think this was Skyhook’s first time doing this route and there’s probably improvements that could be made in some of the fallback plans. I loved the mix of loch, river and sea. We had a reprieve in the weather for our last day off Arisaig and the skerries. Truly stunning scenery, beaches, blue skies and such clear, turquoise waters. Chucky looked after us, cooked us hot, tasty meals, kept us upbeat with his cheery banter and encouraged us to fight the damned headwinds. Definitely an experience. Notes: make sure your waterproofs are good. 3 season sleeping bag is recommended for staying warm at night. Midge net was only needed on one day, but was a life saver. Don’t forget to put suncream on backs of hands for the sunny days. Take lots of photos as the scenery is seriously stunning.

We did this trip from the 8/6-13/6 2024. Chucky, not Richard and certainly not Dick was both a very capable and very amiable guide. Just the 4 of us on the trip, all very diverse as individuals but he did well to blend us and even had me talking to the wife about direction and not arguing. Well not too much. The weather was truly awful on day one and indeed other parts of the week. But, and this is important, Chucky managed the trip with alternative achievable routes where others may have given up. He did so to accommodate all and despite the fact that the effect on him was no less than we. It was a great do. The scenery was as always in the highlands on the trips he organises just amazing and despite the hard going af times well worth every bit of effort. The food was good and seemed never ending. As a trip I would recommend this trip without hesitation. But I’d suggest July onwards.

The trip to Peru was an unforgettable adventure . It was a wonderful time with new people. Beautiful routes, wonderful nature and a lot of time spent outdoors. However, it was a physically and mentally demanding trip. The location of Cusko and the whole route high in the mountains is certainly a challenge for people without climbing preparation. It is necessary to prepare physically for daily hiking of 20 km in the mountains. Please take into account your health condition during this expedition. We were looked after by an experienced guide and we had a wonderful chef who served us balanced meals 3 times a day. After this trip I can say that the Peruvian cuisine is my favourite. The only drawback of this trip is the lack of hot water where we slept. After such an exhausting trip it is very important. These are not places where there is no water, but I think that the owner of the company Alpaca expedition does not invest money to have it there. Hygienic conditions were in bad condition, lack of soap and hot water in these places is in my opinion unacceptable in the 21st century and in that trip wher hot water was promised. Part of this is was amazing.
