Fantastic trip across Scotland! Equipment provided was good, guides (Jim and James) were excellent with vast knowledge and experience of the weather, the local area, the good camping spots etc. There is a fair amount of lifting equipment in and out of boats/water but I'm definitely not at my fittest and found all fine...may be harder for those with reduced mobility. Instruction and tuition on paddling was great and we all worked well together as a group. The camping sites are very rustic (as I expected) if you don't like the thought of sleeping near a toilet or shower every night, this isn't the trip for you! There were however opportunities to use toilet facilities at most Locks and there were showers at Fort Augustus and our final camp stop along Loch Ness. All in all, a fantastic experience, beautiful scenery, a great bunch of like minded people and a very well organised trip. Wouldn't hesitate to book!!

Fabulous from start to finish. Omar (our guide) was epic! His encouragement and support ensured we reached the summit and down safe. The whole Skyhook team were really friendly and the food was plentiful and tasty. Riad Bab (accommodation) where we stayed the night prior and after was comfortable and clean. Overall a great well organised challenge trip. Great work!

Excellent trip! Loved every minute. Incredible scenery which needs to be seen to be believed, and to be so close to it by traveling in a kayak was worth every ounce of effort. The hike was lovely too, with lakes en-route to cool off in, and the rock at the top having amazing views. My only comments would be - - why not leave the camping gear at the campsite, since you have a building there, rather than guests having to pack it up and transport it there and back for every trip? It's all part of the experience was the reason given by our guide, however we all agreed we would not have felt we missed out on anything if the cooking pots and pans were already at the campsite! - Tents are incredibly tiny. I was a lone traveller so had one to myself and that was just about adequate. If two people were sharing one and the weather was bad, I can envisage wet gear because no way could two people AND two peoples gear fit in there. Pay the single supplement would be my advise! Great food, Knowlegeable, friendly guide, and on the whole a thoroughly enjoyable trip :)

This was my first four day trip and first with skyhook. I must say from Start to finish it was awesome Alp Adventures handled everything very professionally also very friendly and helpful when asked questions. The two guides Paul and Sandy made this experience even better by taking it above and beyond. I have to say I got out of this trip and experience more than I could of imagined. I’ve also walked away with memories that will last a life time and some new friends along the way. I loved this trip so much I’ve just booked on an other for October!! The second of many more to come. Thank you skyhook and everyone behind the scenes to everyone up front and centre.

An absolute must for anyone even slightly interested in the outdoors. Of course amazing scenery but so much more. Although some parts of the trail may be demanding rest and refreshments are never far away making it enjoyable for most levels of fitness. Excellent knowledgeable guides help make your time on the trail most enjoyable and if you're within a group of people half as interesting and fun as the group I was in you'll have a great experience you'll never forget.

Mixed feelings. Really enjoyed the experience. The chalets were as expected and we were happy with the rooms and food, but we were expecting them to be more remote, going by the photos on the website. There were a few things that could have been explained a bit clearer, like the piece where the luggage is transported from chalet to chalet. This wasn't clear in the iternery and definitely would have changed the way we packed for the trip. Some things on the item list to bring should have been down as optional. Then some things like PJs and pain medicines could be added as a reminder. These things wouldn't put me off booking with Skyhook again but I hope you use this review to improve the service for others.

What a great experience! This was an amazing trip and the whole team made it super fun. Hussein: I stayed at his house for 2 nights and he went above and beyond and made sure I have everything I need. Hicham: What a great guide. We pushed to the summit in 1 day (what an amazing experience) and he was always there to make sure I was safe and that I was enjoying the trip. Just a fantastic experience from start to finish. The guides, Jim and Lizzie knew their stuff, kept everyone up to date with changes to routes caused by the weather, and were very much safety conscious, although I never felt in any danger. The camping locations were ideal with shower/toilet facilities nearby, and for a wild camp, the food was well thought out and spot on (always a hot meal) after a days canoeing. Plenty of snacks of all kinds to keep you topped up. Was canoeing with a great bunch of people with lots of laughs along the way. Will be booking another one. Highly recommended.

We had a super nice Guide (Sebastian), who was very patient, calm and funny. The heavy rain and wind made the trip (believe it or not) even more memorable, because we felt even more accomplished after doing the crossing on kayak. Recommendation: try to train a bit your arms and shoulders. You will need it for this trip. And also don’t forget that it is not just a kayak trip but also a wild camp trip. So be ready to pull your sleeves up and learn to be on the wild!

My TMB experience was absolutely fantastic and second to none. The tour was perfectly built and organized with different amazing views each day, challenging yet manageable hikes and great places to stay. Our superstar guides, Christel and Paul, and amazing assistant guides, Vicky and Didrik, were simply the best. I can't speak highly enough of them. From the get go, they made sure everyone had the support needed and they encouraged us to help each other as a group so we would make the best of our trip individually and together. Been back fir a week now from an amazing trip . The guides Paul Crystal and Vicky were absolutely wonderful, especially Crystal who helped me through a difficult day, due to the insane heat. I would say that your level of fitness needs to be higher than mentioned on the tour info, especially if its really hot. The heat is a big factor when you are walking up some very steep inclines with a large ruck sack. Also the food on the second evening was pretty awful ( they served Smash ) and there wasn't enough to go around either. All in all though it was a wonderful experience, well organised, good value for money and I met some lovely people too. 😊

Very enjoyable trip but not exactly as described. I'm grateful that the trip ran with only me and another couple. The advantage was that we all were high energy, nobody slowed down the group and we were all interested in similar things. We also all fit into one vehicle with a wonderful driver. However, only after arriving at the harbor did we learn that we didn't have enough people to take a boat to the cave we were supposed to explore--so the day's activity was jut a swim at the beach and a bit of snorkeling. The pack rafting was in a stunning canyon that opened on to farm land and we had an amazing lunch at a farm where the couple had prepared a feast of almost all homegrown food. However, the actual paddle was only about an hour. There was a lot of driving--the plus side being that we saw a lot of the country, the downside was a lot of sitting in a vehicle. The hikes were longer and to a cool cave and to a shrine on a mountain top. Our guide was an ever optimistic, energetic young man who has worked hard to become qualified in everything from kayaking to canyoneering to paragliding. The only problem was that, a few times, he apparently didn't get the memo from the local tour company that had contracted him--fortunately, he could call them but that was sometimes after the fact of a problem. Skyhook contracted out the local tour company--maybe too many connections, like a game of telephone. But overall, the accommodations, care and concern, food, good company, etc was great. But for a trip titled "Active Albania" it was a bit light on some of the activity. Apparently it's advertised as 5-85 yrs but perhaps it should really be marketed as 15-70 (where exceptions can be made) and I would have loved to add canyoneering into the mix!

Amaaaaaazzzinggg. Had such a great time. Smiling to myself when recalling some of the memories. Our guide Dan "the Dane", "Kayak Man", "Fisherman Dan" was brilliant. Great balance of being laissez faire enough that we all felt comfortable and not rushed but also assertive when necessary to make us feel safe. The itinerary definitely requires a lot of logistics on their part yet the result is seemless and provides a brilliant, varied experience offering the adjustment to camping and all that comes with it, hiking, paddling and for us fishing in the fjords. I left tempted to become a guide and getting to do it all the time.

Overall the trip was fantastic. Our guide, Dan was excellent! Friendly, informative and always in control. For anyone considering this trip, please understand that it's much tougher & wilder than appears from description, but not to any detriment to the trip. Just be prepared! The only downside was the trek to Preikestolen. Far too many other people on the whole route, many of whom were not properly equipped nor physically up to the trek. This meant lots of waiting around and getting stuck behind large groups. As bad a Snowdon route can get at peak times! My suggestion would be to modify the trip so a very early morning start can be accommodated allowing completion by around 10am. Final note, at the end of the last day it would be really useful to have access to showers in preparation for flying home, if only for the sake of other passengers! Otherwise, a fantastic trip!

This hike was not for beginners, and there should be an alternative for those who are not fit enough, already on the first day, maybe on the half way. Our poor beginners ruined the hike for other hikers, because they did not quit the hike early enough. So it should be easy to quit or to shorten the hike. Skyhook should have another hike for beginners. I enjoyed this hikes views and the route very much. This was a good route for me. The accommodations and the food was great, allthou the guide did not give us the meat nor the cheese on the second day. Only the couscous and the apple. Luckily I had some salty mandels for myself. The guide helped the poor two fat and slow girls the first day but the other days the helpers were the other hikers. Our guide was wery friendly and nice the first day, but maybe because of the stress he was quite rude after that and it was a bit unpleasant to ask any questions after that. He knows the Mountain well and maybe he is at his best on the running tours.

(Jun 2022)
The hike was not a beginners hike, even though you might get that impression from the description. We had 2 participants that were beginners and who were not equipped properly for the hike. This spoiled the hike for the rest since we spent 25-30% of the time waiting and as a consequence the days were not 5-7 h as announced, but more like 10-11 hours. Due to this we weren`t in time for dinner and on the evenings we just had time to eat and go to bed immidiately. The guide was very competent, but not suitable to guide beginners. He was also from time to time rude and unfriendly towards the participants. When asking questions, he could answer by saying ”Do you question my compentece” even if you just wanted to talk. The participants had to help the weakest ones since the guide didn`t. We also had an incident with one participant that collapsed. The guide did`t notice this. It was the partipants that became worried due to one missing and only after that the guide started to look for her. It took such a long time that another hiker alarmed for help. It seems that there was no plan B for how to cope with hikers not fit enough to do the hike. The lodging was nice and dinner fine. The tour itself was spectacular. Maybe we were unlucky to end up in a group with participants not fit for this kind of hike. But due to this fact, the hike was not the experience I had hoped for.

Overall the trip was unfortunately a disappointment. There were some excellent times but it was overshadowed by too much downtime, moving equipment back and forth and not enough time on the water. Also the purpose of the trip was to Canoe across Scotland which is weather dependent but we never got close to this and apparently 70% of trips do it which I think should be stated in the advertising. Also the food was very disappointing and more clear recipes should be provided to the guides rather than allowing them to cook which is clearly not their skill set.

Thoroughly enjoyed the trip. We didn't get to do the whole distance which was expected due to weather conditions but what we did do along with the wild camping was an enjoyable experience. My dietary needs were well catered for, the leaders were friendly and extremely knowledgable about the activity. The most gruelling part was actually lugging the canoes and kit but this was all part of it. Definitely advise to think of bringing what you need and then cutting that by a third as you have to carry it over the while break and it feels heavier every day🤣 I would recommend this trip to others.

Wonderful and knowledgable guides Liz and Jim kept us all safe and in high spirits , keeping us well fed at night and taught us all we needed to navigate the canal and choppy loch water. The wild camp spots were excellent and you truly get a feel of being immersed in the wild along Loch Ness. Sadly we didn’t do the whole route due to the variability of chop on the water and the need to keep us safe but we still had a great time over the 5 days with a river visit to falls on the last morning. You should be aware that a high proportion of trips never make the whole way due to the unpredictability ,difficulty and of course danger level of the water in the lochs which is completely understandable especially as beginners. Overall as a novice canoeist it was a great introduction with a great bunch of people and excellent guides whom i simply could not have done this without. Highly recommended

The trip was absolutely amazing. Four great hikes, the first 2 days were quite challenging and the last 2 days were not as challenging but the views were phenomenal. This may not be the most beginner friendly hike, certain level of fitness is required, especially for the first 2 days. Our guide Lydee was equally amazing, very knowledgeble, friendly and took care of the group well. The accommodations were as described in the FAQs, hotels/ mountain huts with hot water and good/ok food, and ocassionally no signal, but always came with great views. One issue was that there was no communication by the company regarding the meeting point on the first day so it was a bit confusing and chaotic trying to find a meeting point. Besides this, rest of the trip was 5 stars for me.

The trip was amazing but the trekking was very strenuous, you need to have a high level of fitness to do this. My knees gave out and I had to abandon the trip after day two. Very well organised, but night two we could have had the option of a private room for 40 euros more. Food was substandard. You need cash and night two had no wifi or cellular access. Starting point is in Les Houches so you are better staying there than Verte Lodge as suggested, all buses are free in resort. Our guide was amazing and we met some wonderful people, the views were spectacular, wish we could have done all four days.

It's a challenging adventure with all you can eat chocolate to help you throughout those moments you think you can't paddle anymore. I'm definetly gonna do it again!!!💛

Incredible, 100% worth doing. You need a decent level of fitness, as you're on the move most of the time but a great experience if you're looking to break away from work and try something new.

We have just arrived back from the best experience in Norway. From beginning to end, everything was well planned and organised. Our tour guide Sebastian was knowledgeable and genuinely just a lovely guy. Our group consisted of 6 others and were all great to spend our time with, we all got along really well and if anything that's what made the experience even better. The kayaking along the fjords and the hike to Pulpit Rock were incredible. More importantly, Sebastian, Rasmus and his team are really friendly, helpful and organised, we loved the trip! I would reccomend this to anyone! :)

Fantastic trip - well organised, great guides and a friendly group. The weather was very kind to us, so experiencing the Highlands in the sunshine was a real bonus. Amy and Jim ensured everyone was comfortable with the pace of activity, and read the weather exceptionally well, ensuring wherever possible that the wind was in our favour. When it wasnt, we combined the canoes, to make for a more stable and safer journey. Really enjoyable trip, which I wouldnt hesitate to recommend.

Our guides were the best! Sam had a lovely openness about him whilst teaching skills and putting the group at ease. We were very well looked after, Lizzie’s local knowledge was just perfect to add to the ambience of the trip. We had some exciting ‘rowdy’ sections to raft up which just added to our knowledge base and excitement to the trip! We can’t stop talking about our Scottish paddling adventure! The group were all lovely and Sam and Lizzie just the best! Thanks team, it’s been a blast! xx

1. A well designed and unique route: - The water route to Nærøyfjord is accessible by cruise/boat. Kayaking along the fjord definitely opens up many hidden treasures, like waterfalls, villages, birds, seals etc. The kayak route covered both fingers of the fjord, which has their own beauty. By kayaking, we can land on some very good waterfront camping site by the fjord. - The vehicle road accesses only a small part of the fjord. Where we started hiking can be accessed from water route by kayak. The hiking destination is Breiskrednosi, where you can have a panaromic view overlooking at the fjord from 1177m high. Some parts of the route is privately owned, so there are less tourists traces. We hiked along streams, through farm lands, trails and snow covered slopes/plateaus. En route, there are also beautiful villages, waterfalls, lakes, valleys, mountains. The roundtrip length is around 23km. If driving then hiking, the hike would be from Bakka to Breiskrednosi via Rimstigen, with round trip length of 2x15km=30km. 2. A thought-through combination of outdoor activities: - The trip is 3-day long. The first day we kayaked 11km for about 6 hours. The second day we hiked 23km for about 9 hours. The third day we kayaked again for another 12km for about 6 hours. The arms and legs were used evenly during the trip at different time. So we don’t feel so exhausted. The pace is relatively easy, suitable for even beginners. - If you are hardcore outdoor adventurers, you may find the trip a bit relaxed. But you can spend your extra energy to explore other spots, like kayaking into waterfalls, diving into fjords, sliding on snow. The guide is quite flexible but with safety as 1st thing in mind. 3. Comfortable camping site: The waterfront camping site is right ashore the fjord with mountain stream flowing by the side and mountain slope on the back. The site is privately owned with all possible facilities, clean bathroom, shower, kitchen, covered picnic, and grill. Something particular about this trip is that the concept is to create first class camping experience for the participants. So, if you are looking for hardcore wild camping, it may be too comfortable. But if you would like combine leisurely vacation and outdoor adventure, it should be the perfect choice. 4. Personal interaction: I’m deeply impressed by the guides’ skills, spirit, and energy. The guides all have one or multiple outdoor specialties. They control a fine balance between adventure and safety, and different participants’ levels and expectations, and available time and extra activities. They, during the entire trip, keep the group with a high spirit and under cozy atmosphere. Because the guides are extremely well trained for outdoor activities, they are able to spend extraordinary energy in arranging all activities and logistics. Such energy also reflects their unusual commitment to their job.

This challenge is tough and not for everyone, but when you get to the summit the feeling is incredible! As well as the up you must be confident coming down fast on unstable surfaces. The guides and drivers are brilliant. However if you get motion sickness you will struggle as you are stuck in that minibus for hours at a time along very winding roads and it's very disappointing to not be able to continue.

June 2nd - June 5th. Our group totalling 13 consisting of Irish, English, Danish and Malaysian/Scots had 4 days hiking the Tour de Mont Blanc that will live forever in our hearts and minds. Thoroughly enjoyed our hikes and gelled together very quickly mindi g each other and having some great laughs under the leadership of our guide Ben. What can you say about this guy? Professional to the highest standard, a gentleman, made sure that he got to know everyone early on the trip, a wealth of knowledge of the region including the alpine flora (big thanks Ben for that). A great sense of humour which was needed with this group 🤣. He looked after us like family during our whole trip. The weather threw everything at us during our treks but we laughed, sang and were amazed by the beauty surrounding us. Fantastic experience and would recommend this trip to anyone especially if Ben is your guide.

Honestly this was such an amazing trip - so if you're reading this hesitating about whether or not to book, BOOK it. From start to finish we were incredibly well looked after by our brilliant guide David and the rest of the Nordic Ventures team. Everything was super well organised, with all equipment provided and plenty of support available when it came to learning how to kayak. We spent our days kayaking and hiking up to the snow-capped summit across from our campsite (the highlight was getting to see THE most incredible views of the fjords), and spent our nights chatting around the campfire. It was physically demanding at times, but just the right amount - it was a fun challenge that left us all feeling great and accomplished afterwards. It does get cold at night, so bring layers and PLENTY of socks (once you think you've packed enough, add some more). And be warned there is some fairly deep snow to get through when hiking. If you're vegan, pack your own snacks. Views and memories that I will treasure - thank you so much to the NV team :-)

This trip was fantastic, its a lovely few days trecking in beautiful scenery and good company. I would like to extend a huge thank you to our guides Omar and Hicham who did an excellent job leading us through the route. They were so friendly and we enjoyed lots of conversation. I would also like to thank Lahousine for his hospitality at the accommodation and Ahmad for his wonderful cooking. The food was a real highlight for me on this trip. Meals were plentiful and delicious. Accommodation was lovely in Imlil. The night in Toubkal refuge was an experience, and the summit sun rise was incredible. I would highly recommend this trip and will be booking with Skyhook again.

What a great experience this was from start to finish ...... I had wanted to do this trek for a long time. It was really tough but thanks to the help of our fantastic guides I got to the summit where the views were just amazing! The food we had was terrific too (you need loads of carbs). If you're considering doing this be warned its not easy but even for someone with average fitness like me it's doable. Thanks again Atlas Vertical! 🙂

This trip was really great and I would recommend. Huge thanks to Omar and Hicham who were very encouraging and did a fantastic job guiding us on the route. Ahmad is a great cook providing food with a big smile. The food provided is homely, plentiful and extra delicious when you are exhausted from hiking. The hospitality provided by Lahousine and the team in Imlil on the first and last night is great. The living areas at the refuge (where everyone on all tours stay after the first day of hiking) are cool. But the dorms and bathrooms at the refuge are ... character building.... Ultimately, would very much recommend the experience, but as Nick says in a different comment, be warned it is not easy and a lot to tackle in two days of hiking. I would recommend doing as much prep as possible beforehand.

Loved the weekend. Blessed with beautiful weather and scenery. Hotel basic but clean and staff friendly. Could do with new mattresses. Disappointed with the evening meal as it was served cold but starving so it got eaten. Our guide was excellent and extremely clear with the itinerary and what was expected of us to complete the challenge. This is a fast paced walk up and down 3 mountains with no breaks and very little sleep. A certain person in our group seemed to have their own itinerary and timeframe on this challenge, which made it impossible to finish in the allotted time for the people that were taking the challenge seriously. Selfish and rude spring to mind. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and would love to do it again. A well organised trip. Big thank you to our excellent guide Graham and awesome driver Darren.

This trip was awesome. Very well organised. I knew what to expect when I arrived. Everything was as advertised. Darren our guide was great. Very knowledgable and happy to share his years of experience. I was concerned I'd be slow descending as I worry about missing a step and falling. He explained that confidence and staying loose was key and it was really good advice. I enjoyed the descents and had no problem keeping up. I felt very well looked after throughout the trip. He knew the mountains backwards and could tell us at any point if we were on, ahead or behind time; really important when you're trying to beat the clock. Really great trip, I'd highly recomend. The trip was good and had no qualms with Darren who was a great guide to get it in 24hours. It was well organised and the hotel is great for a 3 star. However, this is just my opinion I feel the description on how fast the pace is needs to be made clearer. Possibly put in bold and double underlined. With a few '!!!' It's an intermediate challenge 100% and the description stated the average person can do it. Im very much average and i couldn't keep up with the pace. Maybe you can advertise the 3 peaks in 3 days in your description to help those who are used to walking abit more leisurely make an informed decision. I had no idea about the 3 day trip until a few days before this one. I would have definitely had gone to it and not have wasted money on the 24hour one. I am now put off doing anymore mountain climbing for the foreseeable.

What an incredible experience! We absolutely loved it and cannot speak highly enough about our guides Fred and Arran, who could not have been more helpful, friendly and professional. They made what would have been a good trip into a great one. The scenery was spectacular even when the weather was challenging. We had all the kit we needed and felt complete confidence in the decisions our guides made regarding weather conditions, which is part of any trip in Scotland. The choice of food was outstanding and those with dietary requirements (including my husband who is a veggie) were really well catered for. I would recommend this trip to anyone who fancies trying their hand at canoeing, and if you are lucky enough to have Fred or Arran along as your guides then you will not only be in safe hands, but will have loads of fun as well. This was a trip we will never forget, if I could give it 6 stars, I would!! Loved, loved, loved it!! :)

I took my own camping kit so I can't comment on what they provided. The safety equipment and kayaks that were provided were excellent. The whole event was fantastic. The instructors Billy and Dave were brilliant. Billy looked after us all on the campsite. Tea and coffee brought to the tents first thing as a wake up call before embarking to Billy's caravan (with awning thankfully) for a fully cooked breakfast. The evening meals were fresh varied and and he catered for all our curious needs - some meat eaters, others pescatarian, others full on awkward veggies! Everyone was totally satisfied with the food and there was lots. Regarding the water-based leadership, this was provided by Dave (and his partner) he was also thorough, spot on and very safety conscious as he should be. We were taken to different parts each day and collected at the destination. No issues there whatsoever. On the final day the weather was good and the sea was choppy but Phil and I were taken out and that was awesome! Both Billy and Dave were very receptive to our desires and preferences in terms of the days activities and breakfast, lunch and evening food. They went out of their way to make sure that we were happy. Would I go again with these guys? ABSOLUTELY. Would I recommend them to others? Absolutely and have already passed the details to others. Well done and thank you for a fantastic experience.

From the very first day we were greated with smiles & enthusiasm from our superb guides Billy & Dave. After a lovely sunny first day on the Lake we moved on to our first night at our campsite which was our home for the next 3 nights. Even though the campsite was in a dramatic and lovely location to watch the sun set over the sea there was no near by beach or cove you could get down to for a morning swim which I had expected. The tents we were given were only basic pole tents that had been well used and dirty inside which I had assumed to be more of a canvas style army tent that would already be erected ready for us to move in, not an dirty old pole tent that I had to errect myself with no instructions in what could have been awful weather conditions, so not a great start. The site was very basic and a simple small farm barn conversion with a couple of dirty shower rooms to try and get clean in, though the showers themselves were very good, mira sport electric showers that took 20p for 4 to 6mins depending on which one you used. With the site being so basic there was no communal space to get together although Billy did have an enclosed awning attached to his caravan where we would spend our mornings for breakfast and evening meals. Even with a group of 5 it was a tight squeeze to get us all in if we all wanted to eat in the shelter of Dave's awning. I was very impressed with all of our food and Billy's cooking for the whole group!! Billy managed to cater for all of our differing needs in such a thoughtful and tasty manner. Freshly made hot meals in the evenings were a winner, from veg & chicken stir fry to Thai curry then American style quality burgers for the bbq, we did feast until popping out of our wetsuits 🤣 We did miss out on a bbq on the beach though that was on the itinerary however I think the weather was a little overcast to make this possible. We all enjoyed the kayak adventures and for me the hi-light was deffinetly the school of Seals we came across who enjoyed nothing more than Bob up to look at us as we paddled around them, in total about 13 or so came to greet us, i was memorised by them. I did expect to be taken into a sea cave or two but this never happened in our tour so unsure if there are any on this coastline but it would have added a much needed interest within the tour. All in all i had a great time, I could not fault the guides, Dave was excellent and very attentive just the quality of camping facilities let it down a little and maybe added points of interest on the coastline would have made the trip more epic, so these are the reasons I give 3 stars overall to this particular tour.........

Really enjoyed this holiday. The first day was a taster session on a beautiful lake in glorious sunshine. I actually thought if this is what the rest of the week was going to be like , it would be boring, I have kayaked lots and am a 59 year old female! LOL Kayaking in the sea in force 5-6 was fantastic and energising, not for the faint hearted by any means. There were 5 of us in total who all got on and had a laugh. The campsite was near the cliff edge so had a steady wind, the site was well laid out although the toilets and showers were in an eccentric building with plastic covering a hole in the roof. The tents were of good quality, clean and dry . However make sure you have warm bedding, I remember waking for my hat as it was cold one night . We went in May. The kayaking equipment was of good quality clean and dry. Leader Billy and Dave were great people with a laid back attitude which made the holiday relaxing. The food was good and plenty of it throughout the day. The Welsh coast is beautiful and it was great to be followed by the seals, who took great interest in us. It was hard work paddling at times but I slept very well because of it. I have just finished my second holiday canoeing in Scotland with Leader Billy, which again was fantastic. Looking forward to what next year brings.

Hi. My son and me have had ana amazing trip with yourselves and met some amazing people. The experience of a lifetime without a doubt. As for constructive feedback goes; The food left a lot to be desired. I appreciate the restrictions on these trips but the types of foods need to be thought out better especially in terms of nutrition for the physical activities. Most morning was a cereal bar or croissant. Lunch often consisted of cuppa soup and a bread roll. Neither offer good nutrition for the activities we were doing Evening meals were nice and better as they consisted of rice's pasta and fresh veg. Lunches would have been better with the likes of wraps, chopped salad and sandwich fillers such as chicken and tuna this avoiding squashed bread rolls as well as the soup and maybe flap jack as a snack. It would have been nice and made the whole Scottish experience better if we could have tried the local delicacies such as Lorne sausage instead and the likes of Haggis and Nips and Tatties, all of which could be prepared easily. The guides, Lena and Lizzie were absolutely amazing. They taught us all the skills we needed to get through. They were fun but supportive to be around and were clearly very skilled at their sport. Very good friends and expert leaders. Loved them. The support group following us did seem to be the issue. We were often delayed or hanging around for them both before and after the journey that day. This was very frustrating and really messed our last day up, causing a severe delay back to Fort William after which many of us had upto a 6hr drive home. However, overall, as I said, this was one of the best experiences I have had and I will definitely looking to book with you again. Thanks again

Hi! Really enjoyed the trip… ! Izzie and Lean were fantastic guides… they really know their shit! My only comments are a) I feel we could have done more in a day, made the most of the good weather.. for instance day 4 the weather picked up nicely and I think we could have completed Loch Ness.. b) we were waiting for vans a long time… I realise it’s plate juggling but maybe more support would help. Lastly, I was expecting to be up and in the canoe and do a solid 6-8 hours paddling… some days we did very little and sat about … BUT when we were paddling I loved every minute! I will be back!

Let’s get the negatives out of the way: -The food was about what you’d expect on a camping trip, certainly nothing to shout about. -I felt the group could have been pushed a little more physically and spent more time on the water. -Due to weather conditions the trip was altered, with our last day staring and finishing at a different location then planned. This meant the support team picking up all the equipment and ferrying the group around. A late start to our final day and not getting back to Fort William till 6 with a 6 hour drive home. Despite these issues I still rate this trip 5 stars. An amazing adventure. Stunning scenery. Met some great people. The 2 guides were brilliant. Most importantly had a top laugh. I will hopefully be booking the trip again when eldest is 14. If you’re thinking of booking yourself stop! and just get it booked.

We had an amazing time on the 3 day kayaking and hiking trip. Day one was pretty easy in the kayak, but day two on the hike… that kicked our butts… totally worth it though. Day three was a pretty long in the kayak, but well broken up with breaks and lunch. Really a one of a kind experience - not one thing to complain about. Of course, all of this was only possible with the help of our guide, Jordan; he clearly knows his stuff and was super committed to making sure everyone was safe, well fed, aware of the cultural and ecological context, and having an amazing time. Only a fool would have anything bad to say about it!

I really enjoyed the experience but feel would need to start bit earlier to accommodate slower walkers....so prob would be better to include accommodation on the sun nite into the package as would be good for everyone to celebrate what they have just accomplished....and forget about the food as breakfast isnt served until 7.30 so you feel rushed ...way easier to make your own breakfast and lunch in the kitchen provided at an earlier time....

Just got back from the combined Toubkal & Sahara trip, had a brilliant time on both and met some brilliant locals and fellow travellers. An amazing trip, professionally organised from start to finish. Our guide, rory, was excellent from the moment we met him, talked us through everything we needed to know, gave safety talks and really put us at ease, then proceeded to lead us through the most beautiful scenery you could imagine. Camping was as described, wild!! If you are expecting glamping and luxury, forget it!! This is a back to nature experience, camping in remote woodland clearings on the banks of lochs, putting up and taking down your own tent, build your own fire, etc etc. Having said that, I would recommend this trip to anyone with a sense of adventure, who doesn't mind getting stuck in and just enjoying everything this trip has to offer

Really chuffed with the trip. We had a great time. There was an easy start to the trip for those who hadn't canoed before (most of us), and we progressed from there. The scenery speaks for itself, so I'll not mention it, other than to say our guides Lizzie and Lina knew exactly where to go, where to camp etc. Truly could not have asked for a better group, Lizzie and Lina practically oozed with knowledge about canoeing, weather, camping, and bush-craft; and they were eager to share! They are kind, approachable and professional, I honestly could not think of the trip without them. Chucky (Good2Go Adventures) and Charles (Support) were always available if things went askew (not often, but we had to accommodate for the weather once or twice) - so easy to overlook the support, but again, we'd have been struggling without them. The organization + logistics were phenomenal and really allowed us on just having fun. The trip had emotional, physical, and mental aspects to it, and personally, it was such a fun experience. 100% trust, respect and love these people. Looking forward to our next trip. Cleo & Nick

This was a holiday of a lifetime, beautiful scenery, incredible expertise and support from Chucky and Charles. But most of all the wonderful guides Lizzie and Lina (and Blodeuyn the dog!) who made our journey such fun and an education to novice paddlers from start to finish, despite some very challenging weather and last minute changes! They made us laugh, kept us safe and have left us wanting more!

I have just finished this adventure today. Absolutely amazing from start to finish. The guides are excellent and you have to trust them and go with their decisions. Expect changeable weather and itinerary. Expect to carry your stuff and canoes/supplies at portage points. The more you take the harder it will be. Plenty of good food supplied, you can take your own but you've got to fit it in your canoe. Beautiful scenery on this trip. Would thoroughly recommend if you want to get away from it all and want a bit of a challenge without anything extreme. I will be booking something similar or even the same again. Thanks to all of you.

My wife and I recently travelled to Morocco with Skyhook to climb Toubkal. We were slightly nervous as neither of us had climbed to that height, so weren’t sure how the altitude would effect us. There was no need to worry because our guide, Lahcen, was awesome! He took us up the mountain at such a good pace, stopping for breaks and ensuring we reached the summit with no problems. Our stay at the refuge, prior to the climb was also made comfortable by our great cook Mohammed who fed us so well. It’s a worthwhile challenge supported by a great team all round. Definitely worth doing a bit of training prior to the challenge (which we did) so that you can fully enjoy the experience. We would thoroughly recommend this trip with Skyhook. Mark & Abigail (UK)

Absolutely exemplary service from the local Freedom Adventures team. Despite not having any experience of any other Nepal based companies for thsi type of experience I think you would be hard pushed to find a better standard of professionalism, hospitality, service and personnel. Far be it from me to prevent anybody from pursuing thier dreams I would advocate far tighter medical checks prior to this trip. We had one team member who was very close to me medically unsuitabel for this excursion. I understand there is a self-disclaimer governing the decision for an individual to go but it puts undue and unnecessary resposnbility on the local based teams to cover a disproportinate duty of care almost immediately and from Day one of the trip

If you want to have an adventure, this is the trip for you. Sebastian and Rasmus are incredible and gave so much information and help throughout. We camped on the beach, shared the chores of getting firewood, cooking, cleaning. The evenings were spent sharing stories around the fire, before early mornings ready to go off and see Norway. Yes, it was cold at night and I should have brought more to combat that but the drysuits they provided for kayaking were incredibly comfy and meant our daily clothes were kept dry for the evening. This is an amazing trio of you like to stay busy and see things from a different view. Would definitely recommend

Fantastic experience - loved every minute. Went to yoga each morning followed by a yummy breakfast, then out for the day with the surf instructors who were great teachers, taking us from beginners to green wave riders, and took us to the best surf spots in Taghazout and further afield. Another yoga session in the evening then we had dinner out each night to a different spot in Taghazout which was always good. I travelled alone but met some great people on this trip. Special mention to Courtney from Mint Surf who was so helpful during our stay and seemed to coordinate everything yet remained so chilled!

Alpaca Expeditions are an amazing amazing company just check out their Tripadvisor page for info but they are the first to put the local porters fairly, employ women at equal pay and are so friendly and helpful with very good English they stand out a mile in a South America, all the other companies are having to improve to compete! Inca trail is tough with thousands of steps up and down the mountains and most of all very thin air at the altitude (you’ll learn to crave coca leaves! (Yes the ones that are famous for a lot of things!)). Skyhook however need to be much better at connecting with them however, I was the only person who Alpaca could not find payment made for (Skyhook sent it under their name not mine!) and they had no information about the equipment I needed to hire from them, I had to rush to do it all the night before at their offices, luckily Alpaca are highly organised despite this and it was all resolved within 30 mins of me staying behind after the briefing.

Where to begin! We booked our trip in December 2018 and it was cancelled and re booked 4 times due to the pandemic. The team at skyhook couldn’t have handled the situation any better than they did and allowed us to transfer our deposits and bookings on to future dates. Throughout the process Damien and Allan’s communication was second to none, they couldn’t be more helpful and responded to all my emails straight away. This was the first time I have used a company for a trip like this and I can honestly say I will never use any other company now other than Skyhook as I was that impressed. We will be using them for Kilimanjaro and Everest Base Camp in the future. As for the trip it’s self, everything went 100% according to plan and the company/staff they use (Atlas Vertical) in Morocco we’re just as professional, kind and helpful. We felt completely safe throughout and was welcomed with open arms. For anyone considering to book this trip and who is a little unsure, rest assured you are in great hands both in the UK with skyhook and in Morocco with Atlas Vertical. One thing that is worth knowing, don’t underestimate the Altitude. A lot of people found the final summit day taxing on their body’s due to the altitude and sheer distance you cover on the day. You do follow an acclimatisation plan but some admitted at the end they would have benefited from another day as you get up and down quite quick so make sure you attend in your best physical condition. Thank you Skyhook for an unforgettable experience and outstanding service. I can’t wait to travel with you again in the near future Best Regards Richard

Overall it was an amazing adventure, we really enjoyed it - although was far harder than we anticipated. I thought the guides were amazing and ensured we had a really memorable experience, the accommodation at Imlil was good, at the refuge it was 'an experience' and not sure any of us got any rest before the summit climb. few things to feedback from us, although the kit list etc on the skyhook website covered most things, there was a lack of pre event comms which was disappointing, one key thing that was not discussed at all was around altitude sickness, 2 of our group didn't summit due to this and we all felt the effects, there should have been more awareness of things to look out for and what can be done to limit / prevent it. Secondly, the only slight criticism of our hosts was a lack of kit check before the climb, one of the team went up without gloves and had the weather turned this could have had serious implications due to the extreme temperatures. Overall, it was such an amazing experience, i would certainly recommend it for others.
