We recently hiked the Salkantay trek to Machu Picchu and, wow! What an incredible experience.
The hike is tougher than the itinerary suggests but so rewarding!
Our tour was operated by Alpaca Expeditions. Our head guide, Joyce, was the best. He's so knowledgeable and friendly. I suffered with some altitude sickness on one of the days and he was fantastic at spotting the signs and looking after me. He made sure I made it to the summit of the salkantay pass with the rest of the group.
The hike is great fun, despite being challenging and it introduces you to local culture, with the most breathtaking views. I cannot recommend the hike enough.
Photos cannot do justice to the beauty of Machu Picchu. We loved the guided tour and the views were phenomenal.
The only disappointing aspect of the trip was the administrative side of the company (Alpaca Expeditions). The admin staff at the office are quite rude and difficult to deal with. It's unclear whether this is part of a language barrier or if they're just difficult in general, so just something to be aware of.
It certainly didn't spoil our trip and we cannot rate our guide from Alpaca highly enough.
This trek is absolutely a must-do!

Fantastic adventure with the most incredible friendly hosts and guides.
Do not underestimate the challenge like I did, but the views throughout the whole trip was worth every ache and pain.

Great adventure. Our guide was fantastic, very patient and a good host. transport and food spot on.
Facilities good considering the locations up a mountain.

One of the best trips I’ve been on from start to finish. The Nordic Paddling guides were absolutely amazing, super friendly, knowledgeable and all round awesome 🙌🏻
The cabin and camp were set in beautiful locations. The logistics, equipment and food were all 5 star. Highly recommend this trip ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great trip. Akis and his co-guides were supportive and kept a large group safe, whilst giving us autonomy to enjoy our individual experiences. Be well prepared with cold and wet weather gear for this hike, and remember that if snow is around sunscreen and sunglasses are absolutely necessary!!

This was not a 24 hour challenge from the start. I trained very hard, took time of work to train, recieved stitches after a fall durin training , and spent a lot if money to ensure I was prepared. We were joined by a group of 6 on a company bonding trip who had not trained at all. However knowing that if you could not keep the pace of 4/5 km hr you would be asked to go back down. This did not happen and we were told to keep the pace of the slowest walker,as a result out route up snowdonia was changed to the easier route without consultation and the 24 hours was not achievable as the guide did not follow the guidance given by the company that we adhered to. Complete waste of time as we had already achieved all 3 hills. Thus was a race against the clock. Would not recommend this company if you would like to complete in 24 hours. It was a joke !

Hi Joanne, Simon here from Mountaineerin. We're very sorry for your negative experience on this challenge. Although Skyhook and myself take all measures possible to provide the necessary information and ensure that participants are fully prepared for the pace of this challenge, it is unfortunately never 100% possible to vet those who sign on.
We've been running this trip for years and have slowly and carefully refined the details to reach a point where we have an extremely high customer satisfaction level. This said, group dynamics in these open groups are difficult to manage and there are rare instances where things don't go according to plan. We take feedback like this very seriously and discussed the trip in detail with your guide.
It was an unfortunate situation and decisions were made to get the best outcome given the circumstances. We're very sorry that this meant you and your team did not complete the challenge on time. We can understand your disappointment given that you were well prepared.
I'm glad that we had a chance to talk about this over a call and I appreciate your time in sharing your experience.

Had a great time on the trip, really enjoyed the challenge that each mountain presented and met some amazing people within my group. Massive thank you the drivers, particularly Steve, for being all-round great guys and getting us to each mountain promptly to be able to complete the challenge within the 24 hour time limit. Looking forward to the next challenge we decide to tackle

Overall, the expedition was excellent in just about every respect. (I've been on several before including Kili). Our Guide was very helpful, considerate, supportive, professional and courteous .. we had full condfidence in him. He also spoke English essentials. All the components of the trek slotted in to place nicely - there were zero hiccups in all the logistics, with the following minor exceptions:
- Hotel pickup location was vague / confusing.
- our Guide was supposed to be Lahoucienne, but swapped to Jawad without notice or explanation. (Jawad was excellent).
- the price for double room en suite at Imlil was excessive, I felt.
- some small bread-snacks for summit day would have been appreciated.
- mountain weather forecast would have been appropriate re. boots/crampons/layers etc.
- toilet block at bunkhouse needs some TLC and upgrading. It's not that remote, so improved facilities not impossible. Better loos, hot water, loo paper, showers, etc.
- no advisory on loo paper disposal etc?
Other than that a great trip at a fantastic price. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Jawad was a fantastic guide with a huge amount of local knowledge and a calm demeanour. Thank you for getting us safely to the top of Toubkal and back down again. We had everything from 30 degree sunshine to snow and the views from the top of Toubkal were absolutely worth the hike!
Skyhook and Atlas Vertical's organisation was seamless and every part of the trip ran well; from the airport pickup through to meeting the other guests, accommodation and food.
I can't wait to sign up to another adventure soon.

What a fantastic five days canoeing across Scotland - the scenery was stunning and the group were fantastic. Chuckie and James, our guides were absolutely superb, extremely knowledgeable about the area and experts in all aspects of canoeing - I learned a lot from them. The wild camping was an experience in itself and the spots we camped were lovely. The food provided by Good to Go Adventures (Chuckie) was really good and plentiful. All in all a fabulous experience with lots of wonderful memories to keep.

What a wonderful trip! I was anxious at first travelling on my own but once I met the group I felt at ease. We canoed through some beautiful scenery, camped and swam in the wild and had such a great time getting to know each other. A trip like this is great if you are travelling solo but want to meet others.
I felt safe and looked after at all times. We had plenty of food and drink provided.
I definitely had some aches and pains on the way but I surprised myself being able to manage the distance.

Absolutely loved this trip, one of my best holidays, it has left me wanting more adventure!
Felt safe under the guidance of Sam. His freshly cooked evening meals were delicious and healthy. The rowing was easier than anticipated although the weather was certainly in our favour with sun and a light breeze most days. There is opportunity for a pint and wind down most days which was unexpected but welcome. You have to embrace the camping aspect and make the most of what the Scottish weather throws at you. But dont let this hold you back. We were lucky enough to catch the Northern Lights from Loch Ness... what a very memorable and fantastic trip. Suitable for all ages, all long as you have a postive can do attitude.
Travelled on: Canoe Across Scotland
Well organised, good equipment, good food both in quantity and quality. Logistics were well organised with no issues.
The trip does involve wild camping with minimal services although there is access to showers and toilets on the canal.
You do also need to portage the canoes and equipment around the locks on the canal, this is made less arduous if all in the group "pull their weight"
The scenery is fantastic.
Sam, our guide was great. Professional and skilled. He had a great sense of humour and was very knowledgeable about the local area. He kept us safe and on track.
I would recommend Good2go for this type of trip and would go back to them should I be looking for a similar adventure.

Epic. Solo trek EBC via Gokyo Lakes. It all started with a welcome dinner in KAthmandu. Hem of Freedom Adventures and the supporting staff (i called him The Young Guy) became my bros for the next 17 days, they really looked after me like family. Everything was planned out so detail - from acclimatisation days to pacing, from diamox to protein/chocolate bars anything you overlooked before coming over, they had it covered.
The scenery en route to EBC was amazing everywhere to look, the smell of pine trees and fresh air and Hem's knowledge of the mountains just can't be googled. It was colder than I anticipated inside your room as you go higher up and nearer to EBC. Yeah, i think words can't really describe the whole thing, go see for yourself. Will definitely think about another route next year.

Loved the trip. Good 2 Go guides Sam and Robson were fantastic. I've never canoed before and wild camping wasn't something that I had done for over forty years. Sam and Robson were inspiring and knowledgeable, making sure every duckling was okay! Food was delicious and plentiful. I'm local to the highlands and wanted to appreciate them from a different view. Was not disappointed. Would give more than 5 stars if possible. (And I was questioning why I'd booked it, it's so far out of my comfort zone!)

Without doubt the best value for money trip for I have ever taken, outstanding. Having never booked an organised tour - always preferring to travel independently, I had zero expectations.
The differing accommodation in various locations was next level, from riads in Marrakech to a house crafted out of local earth in Ouled Driss, & an incredible earth built tent out in the Sahara. All meals were included & it was such delicious, freshly prepared authentic food, along with airport transfers, travel to & from the desert & all topped off with my very own camel & local Berber guide with as much mint tea & spiced Moroccan coffee as I could drink.
There was no-one else travelling in this particular group which was cool as I’m happy to fly solo & the trip still ran regardless, total Queen of the Desert vibes. Marrakech was suitably crazy & chaotic, the drive out to the desert was breathtaking. The desert was everything I expected & more, endless dunes & mind blowing sunsets, sunrises & night skies. The desert accommodation was far better than I was expecting, yes aside from more than adequate accommodation, there’s a dining / chill out space, toilets & much needed showers…a proper bona fide oasis away from the heat of the midday sun.
It was unseasonably hot in May so we cut the desert trip short and the alternative provided was incredible, an absolutely stunning hotel with a pool & private terrace with views of the mountains in Nkob. We then moved on to another hotel & I was offered an afternoon of quad biking but I was happy chilling by the pool. The unesco site Ksar of Ait-Ben-Haddou we visited on our return journey was like stepping back in time but a mecca for tourists!
I was so well looked after throughout the entire trip, I felt super safe & so could just kick back, relax and soak up the experience & most importantly I feel that I left having a real sense of what the real Morocco has to offer.
Thank you Jawad & Lahouceine ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Excellent trip. Our guide Mohammed was great, very helpful and made sure we were well looked after. He spent lots of time helping us learn Arabic. Imlil accomodation was very nice, and was nice to get back to, to recharge after climbing the mountain. The mountain refuge is basic but does the job. The food was good throughout. There were only two very minor issues. Because there were only two of us on the trip they said there would be no mules and we would have to carry everything ourselves. That was fine weight wise, but we planned our bag sizes around having a mule bag so it was tight for space. The price they initially tried to charge for sleeping bags was about twice what skyhook advertises, but we challenged them and paid roughly the advertised price of £5 (60MAD) each. So not a big issue. May is a good time of year for it. It's warm most of the way up. Only a few frozen snowdrifts at the top. The view from the top at sunrise was amazing. I definitely highly recommend this trip.

Our 4 day Inca jungle trek tour with Wilbert was absolutely incredible! I wanted to see Machu Picchu but I’m a pretty novice hiker and was also worried about mountain biking down switchbacks. Wilbert immediately put me at ease. He coached my group of 3 through the biking and made sure we went at a pace that was comfortable for us, checking in frequently to make sure we were okay. He took my GoPro and took some awesome footage of us going down the mountain. The rafting portion was so much fun and Wilbert made sure to capture photos of us as we set off down the river. We were most nervous about trekking with our 10kg bags on the trail. Wilbert secured trekking poles for me last minute and again allowed us to go at our (slow) pace. Every time we wanted to stop we learned more about the plants and animals around us as well as other historical facts which we thoroughly enjoyed. At lunch on day 2 he ran to secure hammocks for us and always looked to make sure we had everything we needed and more. On day 3 he waited for us at the bottom of the Zipline, videoing our arrivals and getting us the best seats on the bus for our drive to the trekking point. He again went at our pace and stopped to point out important sights. Knowing I get bus sick, he got me the seat next to the driver on the bus ride up to Machu Picchu on day 4. He showed us all of the best spots to take pictures and provided so much information that really helped us appreciate the importance and beauty of Machu Picchu. Wilbert made our experience so special and I am so grateful for his kindness and expertise. I would highly recommend this trip and ask for Wilbert as your guide!

We had a phenomenal trip with Albania Rafting Group. Alma and her team went out of their way to ensure that we enjoyed the trip and got to experience the many treasures of Albania. A special mention must go to Arti who really went above and beyond - even organising a cake for me on the excursion that took place on my birthday.
The trip is really well organised and the team are available if you have any questions or doubts. Our highlight was rafting through Osumi Canyon but every excursion was thoroughly enjoyable. The guides are all clearly very skilled and we felt we were in capable hands on the rafting and kayaking excursions - thank you to Bastian & Aldo!
The food throughout the trip was delicious and especially at Castle Park which is renowned for the cuisine. The Albanian people are also some of the friendliest and most hospitable people we've ever met.
Albania really is an underrated destination and we will definitely be returning - when we do, we'll be using Albania Rafting Group again for sure!

It's taken me a long time to write this review due to still processing the experience. Our trip started off amazing, no complaints whatsoever. Our guide, chef and all other members of the team were super friendly and helpful. We enjoyed all the food and accomodation. On summit day, the experience was ruined. A member of our group wanted to head back to the refuge and our guide returned with her, handing over my friend and I to the group in front of us after agreeing it with their guide. Shortly after, we are getting abuse hurled at us from hikers from the group because we were speaking English. This was continuous shouting. To paint the picture, it was pitch black, super steep and rocky terrain that was hard to navigate and already in high altitude. A screaming match was the last thin we needed. Whilst this isn't the guide's fault, what happened next definitely was. Not only did they make no effort to help or defend us, they actually told me and my friend to separate from the group and go ahead by ourselves. Again we were still in the dark on a difficult and unfamiliar trail. The fact we were told, repeatedly, to proceed on our own shows that our safety was not a priority at all. Once the sun had risen, we did separate from the group as the abuse was still ongoing. A guide did come with us initially, not because they volunteered but because the group insisted whoever has agreed to take responsibility for my friend and I should leave their group. That guide left us shortly after and returned. We had no choice but to continue on our own which ultimately led to us going the wrong way multiple times and continuing beyond our capabilities and suffering extremely with the altitude. Honestly, the trip started so well and this day just ruined it completely. A better system needs to be put in place if some group members need to return, and everyone's safety should always be priority number 1.

Hi Morgan,
I'm very sorry to hear that this happened on summit night, especially since the trip was going so well. It's a rare situation where a guide needs to descend to support another trekker in need. Usually, in this case, there is a backup guide. We regret that this apparently was not the case on your trek. It sounds like a quick decision was made for the safety of the group and to give you and your partner a chance to continue up. We are very sorry to hear that the group you joined were disrespectful and that this was not handled better by the other guide.
We sincerely apologise for this experience and want you to know that we have addressed the issue with our team to ensure that there are better plans in place to manage this type of situation in the future. Thank you for your feedback

The trip organisation was very professional, the guides were fantastic getting the whole group up to the top. The accommodation was basic, but OK.
Food was plentiful, however apart from the first night vegetarians were not catered for separate from the meat eaters. Each meal comprised of a vegetable/salad dish with pasta, couscous or rice plus a meat dish, but nothing extra for a vegetarian. If this is the policy then perhaps vegetarians should be offered a small discount as they are not receiving the same quality of food.

Guides were amazing. Food was amazing. The mountain itself was stunning. Everything ran smoothly and without issue and the people were lovely.
Make sure that your fitness levels are suitable before committing (speaking from experience this is absolutely not the sort of hike you should be attempting with a pair of walking boots, a camel pack and a can-do attitude) but if you are capable, this is a wonderful tour to go on.

I wasn't sure what to expect from the trip to Toubkal but it far exceeded my expectations. From the moment we were collected in Marrakesh to being dropped off again we were really looked after very well and in a professional manner. Fabulous trip. I was lucky enough to be part of a great group of 12 people, which added to the experience. But the local people that ran the trip in Marrakesh, Imlil and on the trek up to the refuge, and onwards to the summit of Toubkal, were excellent. The accommodation in Imlil was good, the food very nice (and very plentiful - if anything too much) and all the logistics worked very smoothly. The accommodation in the refuge is basic, as you would expect, but it was warm, the showers had very hot water and the toilets were better than I was expecting. The rooms you sleep in are very basic, and you lie extremely close to one another, so don't expect a good night's sleep. It all adds to the experience!
The guides that led us to the summit of Toubkal did a superb job. They judged the pace extremely well. It was very slow, although necessarily so to ensure we all got up ok - which we did. But a note of caution. If you are not used to hiking in high mountains, you may find this extremely tough. The terrain is harsh, you ascend and descend a lot and the high altitude may well cause you problems. You only find out what your altitude limit is when you reach it - in my case I was fine until I got to 4000m and then it became much harder. But we all have different limits, so it is very much a personal thing. Basically, my advice would be to make sure you are as prepared as you can be.
Overall a great experience. It was my first time on this kind of organised trip, as I normally self-guide, and I was very impressed. I would certainly use Skyhook again and would recommend this trip to others, subject to the caveat about being properly prepared.

A fantastic trip! Brilliant from the start when I was welcomed by Courtney the owner of Mint Surf. The Riad is beautiful, comfortable and the food is excellent but the thing that really made it special for me was the Mint surf team. Haitam and Emry created a positive team atmosphere, delivered excellent surf coaching and took really good care of everyone. We had fun, laughter and really challenged ourselves in the water. The yoga was superb both Evo and Georgia created new experiences for me from Yin Yoga to mediation, which I loved. I really recommend this trip.

Absolutely terrible trip! Extremely disappointed as my trip was ruined by local negligence with regards to time keeping. Also additionally the locally only was interested in being paid tips. Very poor experience. I have been to Kilimanjaro and the Himalayas and they companies are much better for handling this type of trip. Currently stranded in Marrakesh airport and the local team have been useless.

Hi Callum, Lahouceine here from the local guiding team. I’m very sorry that you had any kind of negative experience with us. We take this type of feedback very seriously, especially since our trips generally receive amazing reviews (our Mt Toubkal trip is one of the most popular on Skyhook). I will be investigating the issue you raised around tips, you should definitely not have felt pressured to leave a tip and I apologise if the guide made you feel otherwise. My understanding is you felt the logistics on the trip, specifically the airport pick up was poor. I dealt with this issue personally and believe this occurred due to miscommunication that was beyond our control. Our pick up points are well described on the Skyhook platform and we haven’t had this issue before. Our team went to great lengths to find you and keep the trip on schedule. I apologise if you felt we could have done more on the logistical front.

Brilliant trip with my son, we joined a group of 3 lads in their mid-40s and a lady sole traveller. We all got on fantastically and thoroughly enjoyed every part of the Mount Toubkal trip - fab value, never fitted so much into a long weekend. Whilst full sun and Sahara views would have been grand at the top, instead we far happier (after the event) with -10, deep snow and -22 chill factor 😊. The accommodation, meals, hospitality and guides all far exceeded expectations. We would definitely recommend this trip and indeed, we’ll be using Skyhook again - reliable, quality and value.

Everest Base Camp was my lifelong dream. For my 50th Birthday, I gifted myself this opportunity finally. After looking around at various companies, routes, tours, I finally settled on the Gokyo-Ri / Chola Pass / EBC route with Skyhook, and guided by Freedom Adventure. Prior to the trip, Freedom Adventure was quick in replying to questions, giving direction, and went above and beyond once landing in Kathmandu. My guide Asman, and Support Staff Benza became my family for the next 3 weeks, as we trekked across some amazing views and sites. As with many others, getting in to the mountains, was an adventure in and of itself, and I appreciate Freedom Adventure doing all they could, to make my time enjoyable, keep me informed, and finally getting to our destination. I was a solo trekker, and so may have gotten the royal treatment as I was the sole focus, and I appreciate my guides being not only that, but also a companion. We talked, they taught me about the area, we played cards, and I thankful for their knowledge in making sure I stayed healthy, happy, and completed my journey.
It is amazing, to wake up in the morning, stare out your tea-hut window for breakfast, looking at snow and serac covered 20ft+ mountains. You can’t beat the view. The pace was great, the mountains were awe inspiring that I couldn’t help just wanting to constantly stop, and just stare at them. Mesmerizing.
Hiking was not as tough as I had planned (I had spent months on walks, shorter hikes with altitude, and do live at a slightly higher altitude to start (4500ft), but you do still feel the altitude above 15k ft. Loved that Asman kept me going at the right pace, to not wear myself out and make it enjoyable.
The views from Gokyo-Ri, Kala Patthar, and hiking through the valleys are beautiful. As others have noted, Tea-huts, Food, Wi-fi, were all fine along the way and no complaints. That was an adjustment also, compared to my normal eating and drinking (water) habits, but quickly got used to it.
Everywhere we went, from Ramechhap, to tea-huts, to hiking along the way, Freedom Adventure seemed to be name people knew and respected. I’m thankful for them making this, the trip of a lifetime and helping me fulfill that lifelong dream. Until next time!

The accommodation in Imlil exceeded expectations: clean, comfortable, and with good food (and plenty of it).
Our guide, Mohamed, was perfect:: courteous, knowledgeable and professional.
The base camp accommodation is Spartan but adequate, if a little crowded, but the food was also good and plentiful.
The mountains are amazing. And really unspoilt. But do keep in mind it is a strenuous walk and a scramble in places. You have to watch your feet every step of the way as the ground is rocky and uneven. Boots are definitely recommended. You’ll get a real sense of achievement (and sore legs) once you’ve finished.
The admin and logistics were smooth through out.
Definitely recommended.
Thank you for a memorable experience.

Amazing trip! Highly recommend it! Our guide was fantastic and the whole team took a great care of us throughout the trip! There is no signal during the hike for like 4-5 days so to completely detox from the phone was such a bonus, something i think we all need nowadays. Just make sure you pack extra batteries or solar power bank as you want the camera, phone to take pictures along the way and there is no way to charge anything until you reach Petra. Also make sure you pack warm clothes as it gets cold at the night. Stargazing was amazing as well. Enjoy!

Just back and what an adventure..First of all, Thank you Skyhook for organising a hastle free adventure from start to finish.
Our guide Mohamed was superb, not only in guiding us but also in teaching us so much about the local culture. Summit day was not to be due to freezing strong winds which made the climb arduous and at times potentially dangerous, the minus 15 strong gusts almost blowing us off our feet. Most teams turned around, including us, just bellow the 4,000 Mtr Col,(ridge), and those that ventured further, also soon were to turn back for safety reasons, one team, just 20 minutes from the summit, with the summit aporoach considered too dangerous in the strong winds.
Out of everyone on the mountain that day I believe only one group of 4 were lucky enough to find a window of opportunity to summit.
Having said that, safety always comes first, summiting is optional, getting down is mandatory.
The following day, local treks around Imlil, up to 2,640 Mtrs was superb in the 26° heat.
A fantastic trip from start to finish. Well organised and efficiently run.
If I was to return, I would go again with Skyhook and I would definitely recommend you to others.
Thank you all at the Skyhook Team.

Amazing trip, people, guides and porters! Wouldthouroughly recoommend doing this trip with Skyhook. One thing to note is that it is listed as 'moderate'. One a good day, possibly. Altitude and weather conditions can certainly make it a tough undertaking so take your preparation and kit list seriously.
I'm ready for the next adventure now!

Amazing course with great instructors! No experience needed and plenty of opportunity to do a lot of climbing

Perfect weekend with great instructors, wonderful landscapes, awesome group & nice accommodation and most importantly lot's of ice climbing! I can strongly recommend this course, i got much more than what i could have ever expected. Dale Skole accommodation was really nice & cosy and climbing instructors Ben & Rasmus were totally the best!

Fantastic trip. Very well organised from start to finish. Summit day was tough but our guide Muhammad fromAtlas Extreme was superb. Definitely would recommend the trip

Great trip. The guide Muhammad made it. He was very informative and answered all our questions we had. He was a great team player on summit day. Our muel guy did all the cooking. What amazing food we had at the refuge and thought out the whole trip.
The raid was clean and tidy. Gad a.lovely roof top terrace to sit out on.
All in all a very good trip. Lovey every minute of it.

The animals were amazing. We saw everything you could hope to see! Our driver was kind and accommodating but was far from a safari guide. We were fortunate to have a very knowledgeable guest with us, but it would have been nice to have more of a guide than just someone to drive us through the park.
Travelled on: Tarangire & Ngorongoro Crater Safari
Had an amazing time! Our instructors Ben and Rasmus were both friendly and encouraging! Climbs were adapted for all abilities. Would recommend to anyone!
Travelled on: Beginners Ice Climbing
Great experience.
The hostel was fun. Good facilities, clean linen and towels. Hot showers. The bunks were spacious and the power points really helpful with charging phones etc.
The kitchen was well equipped and had individual storage containers so there was no muddling of others foods.
The equipment loaned for the course was really good, fitted well and was in great condition.
The course itself was fantastic, learning new skills with excellent instruction and safety paramount.
Nothing was too much trouble and no one was expected to go beyond their comfort levels.
I would thoroughly recommend the course. This is my 2nd adventure with Skyhook and it won’t be my last.
Travelled on: Beginners Ice Climbing
Such an amazing trip with an amazing guide. Mohammed went above and beyond. He took care of myself and the other person on the trip with such kindness that I can not thank him enough. He was the reason we managed to get to the summit. He also explained about different aspects of the culture, local area and explained all about what we could see as we went.
The riad is beautiful inside and has a great roof top area. The food is unbelievable and there is copious amounts. The Berber whiskey (mint tea) keeps you going on the hike and is such a tasty drink.
The mountain refuge is basic and it is hard to sleep at due to the altitude and sharing a room with many others( ear plugs advised). But it has a fire, has hot showers, items to buy, WiFi and is a very welcoming place.
Don’t under estimate summit day, the summit is tough but what an achievement when you get to the top and what a view!

Had a great time during this 2 days intro to ice climbing. Nice hostel, instructors and gear, making it unforgettable !

Absolutely amazing weekend in a stunning location! We had rock climbing experience but were brand new to ice climbing, which was similar to a lot of our group, and we all managed to do so much! The instructors were fantastic and the hostel is one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed in. I would highly recommend this course!

Brilliant weekend. Ben and Jonas were excellent, very professional and gave us great instruction on technique. The Hostel is a very friendly welcoming place.

The trip was amazing from start to finish. Muhammad our guide was brilliant. He supported us on every step for the journey and was an absolute pleasure to be around! Abdul was our cook and ensured we had the best food even when right up in the mountains! The mountain and general hike is very tough, but insanely beautiful.
Travelled on: Mount Toubkal Winter Ascent (4,167m)
Can't recommend this trip enough! Our guide Mohammed was extremely knowledgeable about the area, hilarious and a local celebrity. We felt cared for by the team for the whole duration of the trip. There was even an option to extend my stay in Imlil. The cook Abdul was incredibly talented, serving delicious meals in remote locations! Unfortunately we were not able to summit Toubkal due to weather conditions, but Mohammed was extremely flexible, offering alternative routes and solutions- It's well worth trusting his recommendations and local knowledge of the area. The mountain Refuge was basic, but the riad in Imlil was extremely spacious and comfortable. Thank you to the whole team for making this trip such an incredible and memorable experience!
Travelled on: Mount Toubkal Winter Ascent (4,167m)
Absolute great trip in the mountains and dessert. Going up the mountain was an amazing experience, we had super great guides who took care about us. I am usually not a mountain traveller. I reccomend to use a stick when walking up the mountain to improve safety and to support your knees. I am scared about heights but i made it to the top thanks to the support from the guide. I think it is important to note that going up the mountain is not risk free and requires fitness and concentration. The dessert part was also amazing, especially the accommodation on day 4 was amazing (felt like 6 star hotel). At any point during the travel we had enough supplies (drinks and food), never were hungry. The trip is an adventure and is exhausting due to the tight schedule.

Brilliant course! We got really lucky with everyone in our group having some climbing experience which meant we got a lot of climbing done. We had Oscar as our instructor he was superb! Everything from his introduction, knowledge and humour. His English was brilliant and he fully made the course what it was! The ability to go to a venue and be able to climb everything from easy routes all the way up to trying stuff you didn’t even think possible. The hostel is as you expect from a hostel but the atmosphere is very nice.

The best 2 day course over seen and organised by Oskar. He is definitely a Credit to your team.
2 days of full on learning new skills , techniques and hours of climbing.
Thank you

Absolutely fantastic. Oskar really made the course. He was able to cater for the abilities of the group in a supporting and encouraging way with a thorough, friendly and emphatic manner. A true credit to the school and Skyhook. Plus, more metres climbed in the 2 days that most don’t get in a full season! Stunning location. I’ll defo be back for more.

Was a little unsure what to expect with this being my first guided trip abroad but from arrival through to departure we were very well looked after. The guides were great, food was plentiful and the walking was great too! You are given 1.5l bottles of water each day which is more than enough. Accommodation and food in Imlil is great and has WiFi too, refuge is more basic and a bit more bothy like.

Food was excellent and seemed never ending, transfers were faultless and accommodation was better than expected from the description.
Guides were great, multilingual and knowledgeable.
Thoroughly recommended.

John (our guide) and Sammie (our guide/driver) went above and beyond to make this a very memorable safari. From the moment we entered the park we were lucky enough to see an elephant which kick things off nicely.
Our campsite was situated next to the river and was frequently visited by some amazing birds. On our afternoon game drive we were so blessed to see a variety of animals including two lionesses stalking warthogs.
Our guides were so kind in the evening coming for us in an absolute down pour, they looked after us so well.
Our morning drive started with the most stunning sunrise behind Mt Kenya, we then went on to see even more animals including giraffe and hyenas (baby ones as well).
Our final treat was a visit to the chimpanzee sanctuary (they are doing some amazing work there) then the icing on the cake was a visit to the resident 29 year Black Rhino Baraka who was recused from the reserve after he lost an eye in a fight, to be able to see this incredible animal so close is something I will treasure forever. Another great tour.
Travelled on: Ol Pejeta Safari
This really was a trip of a life time. As a group we were so lucky to have such fantastic dry weather for the entire trek which meant we were able to summit Mt Kenya.
Our guide John was incredible, he took care of all of us from start to finish and it was a privilege to have him as our guide for this adventure and without his calm and encouraging guidance I don’t think I would have made it to the top. We would not hesitate in recommending this tour.

This trip was absolutely incredible and it was made even better by Ahsante tours. The effort Sebastian and his team put in was second to none. They truly went above and beyond to look after me and make the trip as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. I am very grateful as they helped me every step of the way and made my dream of reaching Kilimanjaro summit come true. Ahsante tours you are inspirational :) also a special thanks to Holyfield who was very organised in helping be before and after the trip.

Brilliant! Even in the remarkably cold weather conditions, the ice climbing was brilliant and something I've never experienced before. Ben was a fantastic guide, and the folks that run the hostel were lovely (shout out to Jacob!). It felt like we had been there weeks, even though we stayed 4 nights. The group we went out with were great fun.

Tom, Vic and Rich were the perfect hosts as always making everyone feel comfortable and engaged. The snowshoeing was just incredible especially with the perfect snow and conditions that Tom booked for us! Walking across the roof of a chalet was an unexpected but enjoyable treat and the views were spectacular in every direction. If you’re thinking of visiting Switzerland then you really can’t go wrong with these guys!
Travelled on: St Bernard's Beginner Snowshoe
The most fantastic trip! Our guides Tom, Rich and Foxy were brilliant, so knowledgeable and full of fun. I honestly can’t choose one particular highlight although we fitted a lot in- three days of snowshoeing, a Christmas market, the St Bernard hospice, visiting and eating at a laiterie, and of course meeting the wonderful dogs!
Travelled on: St Bernard's Beginner Snowshoe
Our guide Tom, was knowledgeable, interesting and funny. The trip was just amazing, helped by the fact Tom made everyone feel included and brought the whole team together, regardless of age or ability.
Dinner with monks was an experience, the cheese factory was fun, and cuddling the dogs was awsome.

Thoroughly enjoyed this well organised trip. The hospitality from people at the Riyadh and the guides jawed and Muhammed couldn't of been better. They ran it all extremely professionally and I felt at ease on the whole trek with the organisation. Couldn't of had a better first solo trip and met some amazing people along the way.
Travelled on: Hike Mount Toubkal (4,167m)
Perfect beginner’s mountaineering! Went in early December and it was actually quite cold at summit. Guides were so professional and the food along the way great. Don’t kid yourself though the hut is very difficult to sleep on day 2, but the Riad in imlil very nice and cozy.
The hike wasn’t hard until the summit day due to cold feet and wind. You get acclimated well over the day before.
I’d wear more stiff boots next time for that day and normal hiking shoes for the rest of hike as mule can carry extra gear.
Travelled on: Hike Mount Toubkal (4,167m)
What an incredible experience! I've been to 30 countries and this is one of the best trips I've ever done. Toubkal is a difficult climb but the feeling you get as you approach the summit as the sunrises is simply indescribable. It is a stunning view and such a great accomplishment to summit the tallest peak in north Africa. The service from the team was incredible and Jawad was an amazing guide throughout the Toubkal portion. The 3 days to the Sahara are a long trip in the van but watching the sunset and rise the next day over literal mountains of sand is a sight you will never forget.
If you are thinking about doing this trip, I wouldn't hesitate!

Our guide Ngima went above and beyond he was incredible you need more stars 🌟 I would give him 10. So knowledgeable and nothing we to much. He looked after us all so well.
Buddha and som our porter were like machines carring our bags and making sure everything was ready for us.
We were also so lucky to have incredibly weather. Fantastic views would 100% recommend.
The smile didn't leave my face from start to finish.

Skyhook / Freedom Adventures thank you very much for making this trip fun, memorable, smooth and safe as possible.
From the start, all questions were clearly answered by Prashant (Freedom adventures) via messaging. Skyhook may need to update some bits in the website: itinerary/things to bring.
Do not exchange money at the airport, wait til you get to the hotel as exchange rate is better there. Get used to the tipping culture upon arriving.
Thamel park hotel and all of the tea houses we stayed in were a lot better than I expected. More comfortable even for an adventure holiday such as this.
1L bottled water cost about 20-50 rupees while in the city, then goes up to 100-150 from Lukla.
Meals in the tea houses cost about 600-900. Hot drinks from 150-300. Prices get more expensive as you go higher. Cant really complain as getting the goods up there is difficult, often carried by porters and/or mules/yaks.
A wide variety of meal to choose from, with vegetables options being a safer bet for the tummy. We did save a lot using purification tablets with tap water - had no issues.
Wifi and charging were available with at most tea houses (300-500), signal is quite intermitent. Holiday Inn at Namche had free charging in the rooms. No issues with this as I tried to stay away from the internet while in this trip, and my powerbank lasted for the trip.
Hot showers were a delight (500-700), although not advisable from Lobuche to Gorak Shep.
Bistari-bistari (slow-slow) pacing did very well for our group. Managed not to get tired with the slow/low heart pace and kept our energy for the duration of the trip. Does really well for the body to acclimatise. Remember this is not a race!
We were very lucky to have a very good / clear weather for the duration of the trip. Mostly sunny and some cloudy days. Trail gets dusty so buffs are recommended.
To our guide Ngima:
Thank you very much for being an exemplary, knowledgeable, patient, reliable, nice and fun person. He did receive us very well, telling us the know-hows, answering our questions with regards to anything/everything, always looking after us from trekking to the tea houses, being a professional, preparing a surprise birthday cake, and even inviting us to his home. Words aren't enough to show how much we appreciate him. Thanks very much buddy! All the best and til next time!
To our porters Buddha and Som:
The ironmen and unsung heroes!!! Thank you very much guys for all the hard work you have put in this trip. We seldom see them each day but it was fun hanging out with them during the last few days. Without these boys, this trip would not be possible. Very thankful not only in carrying our heavy duffle bags, but also in assisting us thru the EBC and Kala Patthar treks.
I highly recommend this trip!!! Not only for the sake of reaching base camp, but also for learning/experiencing the wonderful country that is Nepal: it's people, culture, beliefs, food, music and beautiful landscape. Can't wait to come back: thinking of Mera or Island Peak next, then probably Gokyo lake and/or Annapurna base camp after. So much to look forward to :)
Travelled on: Everest Base Camp Hike (16 Day Trip)
I did the EBC trek solo with Freedom Adventures and their amazing mountain guide Ngawang and Nobin our porter. Ngawang is very experienced mountain leader, professional, passionate about Nepal, the mountains and trekking. I found out that he was a local Sherpa guide and had the chance to experience the local way of living, an experience I wouldn't have otherwise! Ngawang was very accommodating, flexible and resourceful. He would always ask me about the highlights/lowlights of my day to make sure that I was having a good experience in the trek. He was giving me great advice on eating, drinking, altitude and my pace always making sure that I had the best chance to complete the trek. After observing my progress, fitness and health he also suggested that we change itinerary and complete the Ama Dablam Basecamp too which was a bonus day during my trek! He always shared with me his knowledge of the area, the local traditions as well as the best places to shop, eat and use of facilities. He was also a lot of fun and a great person to share this special journey with and kept me good company while on the trek when we chatted endlessly comparing life in Nepal with life in the west and the importance of education for the future generations.
As I was a solo trekker I had the chance to also meet my porter Nobin which I couldn't be more grateful for all his hard work! He was always so hard working, polite, smiling and offered to carry my backpack for the most challenging parts of the trek. Nobin was working so well with Ngawang and followed his instructions, was always on time and willing to offer his help to me so I can have a comfortable experience. I enjoyed having the chance to meet my porter (thanks to Ngawang who made it possible) and get to know the person that was doing all this hard work carrying my stuff but also to understand a little more about his life and his goals! Without Ngawang and Nobin I wouldn't have been able to complete this trek and also have this lifetime experience. It felt like we were a family for two weeks while trekking!
Freedom adventure choice of tea houses was great! They were all clean and comfortable with very accommodating and friendly staff. In particular, the following two tea houses stood out to me: Buddha Lodge Pangboche the lady that runs this tea house was so friendly and the tea house was in a very good condition with lots of attention to detail and Holiday Inn Namche where I had the chance to share the local drink with the owner's family and Ngawang in their kitchen while they were preparing my dinner. I was well impressed by how well organised and clean the kitchen was!
Ngawang also informed me of the company policies and safety standards Freedom Adventures agency uses and I was reassured that I had picked the correct trekking company for my trek. Freedom Adventures always put safety first and this is obvious by how the staff are behaving - always with safety in mind, without taking risks and ensuring that I was safe at all times. There is a good reason that Freedom Adventures is one of the top class agencies in Nepal! Having tight safety procedures, excellent staff and values that resonated with mine and giving me a lifetime experience in meeting the culture of Nepal!
I definitely wouldn't have been able to have this amazing experience without Ngawang and Nobin and I will be sure to request them to support me on my future trips to Nepal! I highly recommend and encourage anyone considering trekking in Nepal to get in touch with Freedom Adventures and book their adventure with Ngawang and Nobin!

Travelled on: Mt Toubkal & Sahara Desert Adventure
My recent completion of the 6-Day Mt. Toubkal & Sahara Desert trek has left me with a sense of awe and fulfillment. As I unwind for a day in the vibrant city of Marrakesh before my flight home tomorrow, I find myself reflecting on the incredible experience, and there's one individual who truly stood out amidst this adventure: our driver from Mt. Toubkal to the Sahara, Mohammed.
It's no exaggeration to say that Mohammed is the epitome of a safe and reliable driver in all of Morocco. Throughout the winding and often challenging mountain passes, I never once felt a sense of worry or anxiety, all thanks to his steady and expert driving. Mohammed's competence and reassuring presence significantly contributed to the overall enjoyment of this exceptional trek.
The journey itself was filled with remarkable highlights, with two unforgettable moments standing out: conquering the summit of Mt. Toubkal and riding camels through the Sahara under the starlit sky.
Climbing Mt. Toubkal was an adventure in itself, and reaching the summit was an achievement that brought a profound sense of accomplishment. The breathtaking views of the Atlas Mountains from the top were absolutely worth every step of the climb.
Riding camels through the Sahara Desert by the light of the stars was a surreal and magical experience. The vast, silent dunes illuminated by the celestial canopy created a sense of wonder that words can hardly capture. It was a journey through time and a connection with nature that left an indelible mark on my memory.
For anyone considering embarking on this unforgettable journey, I highly recommend requesting Mohammed as your driver. He not only ensured our safety on the road but also added an extra layer of comfort to our entire expedition. His attention to detail, knowledge of the terrain, and friendly demeanor made this trek not just adventurous but also stress-free. I can't thank him enough for making this trip an extraordinary and memorable experience, one that will undoubtedly stay with me for a long time.

The local guides(Kush and Bir) and operator(Freedom Adventure) were excellent.
Trekking from 3000m+ to 5000m+ mountains was easily the experience of a lifetime, something I will never forgot - thank you for the memories! Hiking would not have been possible without our porters too(Nabin and ???). I would definitely recommend Freedom Adventure's trip to EBC.

Freedom Adventures were 5 star! 🌟 The guides and the porters were very caring and motivating. The trip itself was just out of this world and well organised and we felt looked after the whole way! Thank you so much skyhook and freedom adventures for the trek of a lifetime!! Sam & Alex.

The Salkantay trek to Machu Picchu is an adventure of a lifetime. we had the best guide Javier ...thank you so much for the care, guidance and most importantly the knowledge & passion you shared with us all. Great group of people all came together in time of need, helped / encouraged each other, shared emotions, laughs and lives.
I would highly recommend this trip. I do recommend you do the suggested training plan, arrive 2 or 3 days earlier to help adapt to the altitude ahead of Day 2 challenge. Other recommendation to trip organisers is Day 2 should be shortened.....this is the reason why i've given it a 4 star.
Travelled on: Salkantay Trek To Machu Picchu
Unbelievable experience. Hiking at altitude is no joke, take the cautions on everyone's reviews seriously! We would definitely recommend landing in Cusco ATLEAST two days early to acclimatise (and to explore as its beautiful) and start taking the altitude sickness tables the day before you fly and continue taking them throughout. That being said, if you can overcome the challenges of altitude, the experience is totally worth it. The hardest day by far is the first day of hiking - we got up at 4am, started hiking at around 5:30 and we didn't get to our next campsite until around 18:30, this was brutal on both the physical and mental resilience due to the distance covered and reaching the highest altitude of the trip at such an early stage of the trip. We couldn't fault the tour guides who looked after us every step of the way as well as having such extensive knowledge on the history and culture. Making it to Machu Picchu on the final day was the icing on top of the cake - the pictures do not do it justice and nothing will replace visiting it and seeing it with your own eyes. Definitely take the advice and guidance of the tour guides to get up early on all of the days you visit tourist hot spots (e.g. humantay lake and Machu Picchu) - our experience at these sites was so much better for it before thousands of other tourists arrived later. The porters and chefs were incredible - we are two vegans and were catered to just as well as everyone else. Everyone in Peru were so friendly and accommodating and its such a beautiful country - we miss it already!

Not normally lost for words but I have to say that this time I am.
I was blown away by the sheer friendliness and welcome I got upon arrival.

What an unbelievable trip! Our guide Mohamed was great, and our cook Hamed was top notch! Both made our experience even better.
The trip to the top of Mt Toubkal was like nothing we’ve ever experienced and the views from the top were unreal!
Best hike I’ve ever done and can’t wait to do more!
Will definitely use skyhook again for our next adventures. Easy to deal with and great prices so we were very happy with the whole trip!

Our trip to Mount Toubkal was amazing.
Highly recommend using skyhook adventures as everything ran so smoothly from start to finish. Our guide Mohamed and chef Hamed were brilliant. Mohamed had vast knowledge of the mountains with nearly 30 years experience. He was very informative about everything along the way. Oor chef Hamed kept us full with the most amazing meals. I'm Coeliac and required a gluten free diet which Hamed was able to cater for in his lovely Tangine dishes with sides of rice....no gluten issues in my time with Skyhook. Breakfast is mostly boiled eggs so if you are going I would suggest taking some gf bread to fill you up before a day on the hills. All in all those was the best trip I have done to date and would Highly recommend 👌
Travelled on: Hike Mount Toubkal (4,167m)
Challenging, but a great, memorable experience.
Consistent to my previous trip with Skyhook, everything from the pick up from my hotel on the first day to the final drop off went to plan without any issues. The main guide John was always considerate to the safety and well-being of everyone in the group, and he had great knowledge of the wildlife and local environment.
The porters deserve a special mention, with the trip not being possible without them. They presented as hospitable and polite at all times, and it was incredible to see how hard working they all were to make our trip so memorable. THANK YOU

The Day 1 description is misleading. It says that "You will be met by your guides in Nairobi at 9am and driven to the remote town of Sagana. Here you'll have some refreshments and receive a briefing from your guides, before continuing to Chogoria and the start of your hike. You'll enter the Mt. Kenya forest at an altitude of 1,600m, and make your way through dense forest to an altitude of around 2,950m. " .The truth is that we start the hike at 2950m and its only 1.5 hr hike on day 1.
I compare with my earlier hike on Mount Kilimanjaro and find that the Guide was very negative and did not give enough confidence that he will ensure the safety of the people. My nephew got scared by the negative altitude of the guide John. He would have summitted if John would not have scared him so much. There was no oxymeter with the guide for him to check the oxygen levels. I think this is a must to be done at breakfast and dinner everyday for the guide to know the real situation of the travellers.
Food was very good and tasty. We were lucky to have a very good group.

I loved this challenge. It’s a tough day and you cover something close to a 60,000 step count, so preparation for a long time on your feet is key.
The trip was well organised and the guides were friendly and knowledgable.
It’s a very busy trail which was less appealing but can’t be helped.
For my trip the weather turned for the worst about half way through so I strongly recommend anyone attempting this challenge packs their waterproof trousers and dry socks!
A great experience, in beautiful scenery, and another challenge ticked off the list. Loved it.
Travelled on: Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge
A really good experience and Pat, our guide was really supportive and pushed us to the finish line, with the extreme wind and rain howling down on us. The 3 peaks is not an easy walk, there are ledges and scrambling up some high cliff edges which was not expected.
I would recommend Pat and the team for the 3 peaks.

This is a truly amazing trip. I did it with my 3 grown up kids in September/ October and met a really fabulous group of people. The guides led by Kostas were 100% brilliant, reliable, informative, knowledgeable and such fun. Their enthusiasm for the Greek treks is infectious. They made huge efforts to ensure we saw the real Greece, experienced some local foods, the culture and countryside. The treks weren’t difficult but you do need a fair level of fitness. The zip line and tree house are no longer part of this trip but the rafting more than makes up for it - the guides on the days rafting were really entertaining and made the experience so enjoyable. We even had the chance to jump from rocks into the river. The views and sunsets were spectacular and the little touches from Kostas and his team made our trip quite amazing. Highly recommend this adventure. Would advise time in Athens as well to see the sights. We also extended our trip and had a few days on Aegina, just off the mainland, if you can do something like this it’s adds to the experience. Well done and huge thanks Kostas, Shira and Hermes

I did enjoy a lot hiking in that location in Greece, the gorge was truly amazing although I did not expect the walk will be so long.. Just worth it.. our guides were very very friendly and everything organised to perfection.. Bear in mind the food when you are in Greece.. so so delicious.. I highly recommend going and enjoying the amazing views and doing the rafting and swimming in the natural pools of course.. Thank you Constantinos, Sirago and Hermis.. you were the best guides for me!

Amazing challenge !
Customer service Alison was very helpful and super quick with responding , same as Simon from Mountaineerin.
Our guide Rob kept us safe and motivated and made it all possible for the challenge to be completed in under 24hrs .
All perfectly organised from start to finish and made us all feel comfortable and safe .
Would definitely use Skyhook and mountaineerin companies again without a doubt !
Very happy customer
Thank you all !

Absolutely fantastic weekend, tough physically and mentally but well worth it, really well organised and a big thank you to our driver Steve and particularly to our guide Russ who got us round in under 24hrs 😁 , his knowledge about everything from the mountains, terrain and weather is superb and the encouragement he gave to the whole group was fantastic, met some great people in the group and definitely recommended giving it a go

This was the most amazing adventure, wonderful scenery and beautiful people in our group. Wild camping and canoeing was so enjoyable. I hadn’t been out in a canoe before, but I didn’t find at this was a problem as we were lead my our ever so capable instructors Sam and Geoff, very save pair of hands and knowledgeable, such good food cooked by Sam, two lovely guys, who made this trip run smoothly and great fun.
Travelled on: Canoe Across Scotland
I just had the best time!
The guides Sam and Geoff were superb from start to finish, from the welcome and introductions to the instructions and lessons and then there was the camping and food provision! The whole thing was planned with precision.
It helped that we just had the best group and although 8 of us were already there as friends the other 4 were lone travelers and slotted in great with our crowd and we had the best time getting to know them.
Not going to lie it was hard work in bits with the paddling and maneuvering, and the weather was changeable but we did have a couple of glorious days followed by a couple of tougher days where conditions were wet and wild (it is Scotland 🏴 after all!) but this only added to our experience. There were lots and lots of laughs along the way.
Thank you to all the gang, and here’s to the next time 👍😁

What an amazing experience that was. 5 adventure filled days with our amazing guides Sam and Geoff who were very engaging, funny, and experts in their field. I can't praise them highly enough. Every aspect of our trip was planned brilliantly. Great cooking by Sam and welcome, hearty meals prepared for us after a good days paddling. Both Geoff and Sam's experience called in to play when the weather was a bit windy and "bouncy" on Loch Ness, but our safety was always of paramount importance and rafting the boats together to get through the tough spell added even more enjoyment to an already fantastic trip. Throw in wild camping in great locations, a great bunch of friends (existing and now new) and stunning scenery throughout. Best tip is to stick to what they recommend for packing for this trip, keep it light. Thanks again to the team.

I enjoyed every single minute of the trip. We had a mix of weather and some adrenaline pumping moments on Loch Ness; even when soaking wet we had fun! Our guides Sam & Geoff were great and we had a great laugh with them… Sam was a great cook and provided well balanced meals. Anyone thinking of doing this, be prepared to shit in the woods…

The guide Akis was fantastic
One of the most enjoyable experiences I’ve ever had,
If I were to improve anything it would be that poles would be available through the guide ( like the harness and the helmet is ) as we arrived just in time to meet the group and had not gotten a chance to hire poles

Amazing 4 day Mont Blanc tour with a great group of people. Big thanks to our wonderful guide Grigor who looked after everyone in the group very well. Everything was organized so well that you didn't have to worry about anything. The food was great and the refuges were amazing. The whole experience: the nature, the views, the people we met, the places we visited, the advice Grigor gave are unforgettable. I made incredible memories from this trip that will last a lifetime. I highly recommend this trip and especially Grigor as a guide. Thank you

Well run and organised. Grigor was an amazing guide ... patient friendly and passionate about his role . Always felt extremely safe with him in charge.
Refuges were welcoming clean and food was plentiful.
Better equipped drying rooms would have been welcomed in some of the refuges as boots and items of clothing didn't really dry overnight.
Anyone who enjoys mucking in ..being part of a team and has a love for mountains, hiking and countrylife will have a great time. Highly recommended.

Great trip paddling the Scottish Lochs of the Great Glen Way. Our guides were knowledgeable, funny and always there to help each one of us, from the beginners to the more seasoned canoers. The views over Ben Nevis and the Grampian mountains from the camp by Loch Lochy were stunning. Let alone the starry nights over Loch Ness by the bonfire!
Tip: you’ll get wet, so waterproof clothing is essential! Also, an extra fleece and warm pair of socks is always handy!

The 4 day mini tour is a fantastic short sharp detox. Spectacular scenery, warm snug lodges and a great physical workout. The fenetre d’arpette is a highlight but the last few hundred metres are tough so require some physical fitness and determination. Blessed with a fantastic group of walkers and an inspirational guide - thanks to all involved.

An incredible 4 day hike on the TDMB with a fantastic fun group. Our guide, Paddy, was great at encouraging all and sharing knowledge of the area. Thanks to Alps Adventures for a wonderful experience.
Travelled on: Tour du Mont Blanc Highlights
Our four day hike in Mont Blanc was amazing ., our guide Paddy was the best and we could not have asked for a nicer much of people to hike with .. … hikes were tougher than anticipated but we were truly rewarded by incredible scenery … my one critique would be standard of food in the evenings… no choice and not enough of it !!! And restaurants at top of mountains being closed after an arduous climb was a little disappointing … overall a very memorable experience. .. thanks to Alpes Adventures !!
Travelled on: Tour du Mont Blanc Highlights
To say this was the trip of a life time would be an understatement. We loved every minute. Our guid Paddy was the perfect guide, support, friend and companion making this journey a fantastic experience. He was supportive when needed, encouraged us when we struggled and laughed with us over a drink. I will never forget this trip and I’ve already recommended it to lots of people. It went like clock work. Ok the food on the first night and breakfast was a bit disappointing but as a group we got over it. The accommodation was perfect, improving each night. The walks were very challenging and I think this needs to be stressed as one or two of the group didn’t make it but the views and the places were stunning. We were very lucky to have such a good group of people who made this trip so enjoyable. Thank you for helping us book this amazing trip.

What an incredible trip! Everything about our time away was fantastic; the scenery, the food, the rofugio’s, the lake swimming, the wildlife, the companionship, the laughter and ice cream! There are too many highlights to mention. The trek was well paced, with a thoroughly knowledgeable, experienced and personable guide in Mark, and plenty of stops to take pictures and experience the delicious local cuisine. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to get outdoors for 4 days and feel alive. Thanks for such a wonderful time on some stunning mountains.

Whoa! This was quite possibly the hardest thing I have ever done, but Oh my!! It was so worth it. Absolutely brilliant trip, very professionally organised, Mark, our guide was fantastic. He made sure we were informed and safe, great knowledge and expert guidance.
Scenery was epic, our group have now become great friends.
My only critique is possibly that it was hard to determine the level of difficulty and fitness needed on the Skyhook website before the hike. I’m super glad I did some fitness training running up to it, otherwise sections of the hike would have been really difficult. Overall though it’s been fantastic. Can’t wait for our next one!! 👍🏻

This was a fantastic 4 days!! Spectacular scenery, every direction! A really great bunch of people to share it with too.
Our guide Mark was incredible. A fountain of knowledge, shared in a really lovely, chilled out manner. A good base line fitness is needed to feel comfortable and really appreciate the views.
Travelled on: Tour du Mont Blanc Highlights
Had the most incredible 4 days with a brilliant bunch of people. Views were just spectacular at every turn. Awe inspiring! Food was delicious (veggie for me)and thought all the refugios were fantastic with really friendly and hard working staff. The Walter Bonnatti was particularly stunning. Mark was the most brilliant guide. His wisdom, experience and humour really helped to unite our group and enrich the whole experience. Just wish we had gone for the full trek. It is important to have a reasonable level of fitness ahead of this to really enjoy it. Highly recommend. Thank you.

Trip of a lifetime! Made even more enjoyable by the professionalism shown by the Skyhook team! Everything from Been picked up at the airport, to the amazing guides and porters who made our summit possible, to the drop off at the airport again. Highly recommended and I as one will be certainly using this very professional collection of individuals again! Thanks for making my dreams come alive!!

Amazing experience with a lovely group of people.. Guides Mark and Dom were excellent , patient understanding and knowledgeable. You need a good level of fitness for this trip it can be challenging in parts . Food wasn’t great and there was no real choice .. lunches are organised for you and due to the lack of choice we did ask for something different, this was organised by Mark. Tom who met us at the beginning of the trip kindly made us some sandwiches, however he did make comments which we felt were quite patronising, this attitude was also noted when he met us all at the start of the trip . Overall I would highly recommend this experience……

The trip itself was gorgeous. But more than that, was the company. Mike was not only a knowledgeable and experienced guide - he is the most relaxed and relatable person to have led this journey. An amazing adventure. Beautiful scenery and tales to tell at the end. We had a wonderful group and the perfect trip. Sam and Geoff are the best guides. They are just wonderful. It was such a blast!!

Last week’s 100km paddle across Scotland was everything I’d hoped it would be. Geoff and Sam were the best guides - professional, funny and more like friends by the end of the trip. We had a blast. The weather held off and made way for a cracking adventure through Scotland’s canals and loch’s, from Fort William to Inverness, wild camping along the way. Highly recommended! Book it and have the adventure of a lifetime!

Sept 2023. Age 56 Female. What an amazing trip that was. Our guides Sam and Geoff made everything just so slick. We always felt safe informed very well fed and entertained. The kit provided was adequate and manageable to transport on the canoes. Dont overpack! All you need has to fit in a 60L dry bag inc tent and sleeping bag. It's do-able. Midge spray and nets are a must! Every trip will no doubt be different due to whos on it and what weather you have but ours was just perfect 👌 Thank you.

Norway….you do not disappoint. This trip is an ideal way to see the Fjords and nature closer than on a tourist boat or cruise ship. Our guide Lukas was more like a friend to the group, helpful, informative with a calming reassuring approach to our trip. Highs of the trips……seeing the seals, Deer and Mountain Goats and of course….my kayaking partner catching a cod.

The trip was super nice. I liked a lot the guide Alena that provided us a lot of instructions and guidance and support. The organisation was very good and all details were available.
The group was very united and we had excelent time during the trip.

A truly amazing time - the group, the mountains, the views, the weather and most of all our guide, Alena, who looked after us so well, provided lots of information on the way and really supported the whole group and all the different levels of ability.
The trek itself isn’t a walk in the park, not for your average Joe anyway. With that said I enjoyed the challenge, everyone made it up and down again (several times!) so there is as element of being able to achieve more than you thought. That’s my experience anyway.
The views are to die for, so don’t forget to look up 😉😊
Travelled on: Tour du Mont Blanc Highlights
Amazing hikes every day! Our guide, Christel, was fantastic - there were times when I did not think I would make it up the mountain but she set a good pace and I felt good (but tired!) when I got to the top. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the food on the trip (especially breakfast) is not the best but if you know that going in you can set your expectations. I found electrolyte tablets to be very helpful (dissolves in your drinking water) and make sure you stay hydrated and snack along the way. Great trip, highly recommend!
Travelled on: Tour du Mont Blanc Highlights
What an amazing adventure! It was definitely challenging but worth it for the views and sense of achievement. Christel was our guide- she is a truly inspirational individual. Christel has the patience of a saint and without her, I don't think I would have made it up some of those mountains! We were blessed with fabulous weather which made the views all the more stunning. Met many wonderful people and I would definitely do it again. Thank you!

This trip for me was fantastic! I personally feel it was challenging and demands a good level fitness to endure the long days of hiking in steep mountainous terrain repeated over the full four days. But you get rewarded by most fabulous views that take your breath away and makes it well worth the effort.
Our guide Charles was fantastic. He was helpful, friendly, supportive and kept our group together all the way through. His knowledge about the area was brilliant so kept us entertained with interesting facts. Accommodation and food wise, it was good, we had clean rooms and good food. Overall my experience on this trip was amazing and totally recommend it anyone looking for a great adventure.

It was well run and we packed a lot into a short time
There were 7 in our group and our guide Sandra was excellent. Everything ran smoothly and she made sure we had a great experience as well as keeping us safe.
The equipment and clothing provided was good..Scenery great, especially the hike and views to Pulpit rock

The trip was fantastic, very well organised, seamless from start to finish. Paddy, what can I say, the best, he was a brilliant guide., He enabled the group to enjoy the hiking at their own pace, which was a pleasure. Great bunch of people on the hike, really enjoyed everyone's company. The scenery was mind blowing. I would highly recommend the Tour Du Mont Blanc. It has been my first hike with Skyhook, hopefully it won't be my last.

Definitely 5 stars.
I found the communication from the time of booking to the end of the trip first class.
The trip itself was phenomenal.
Our guide Paddy was amazing.. he was very approachable and would always update us if anything was going to change.
I would say that you definitely need a decent level of fitness for this trip as it is challenging in parts but as long as you are aware of that and train accordingly then you won’t have a problem.
If you haven’t already booked then don’t hesitate.
It’s the best adventure ever.

Hi!
I liked the trip. It was well organized abou eating and spending the nights.
I have hiked in many countries and many trails and there have been more than one guide. So there have been two different groups of hikers, faster and slower. I wonder, why here was'n so.

Little bit confusion about what the day will bring and when, specially with the hights. Some people was informed better than us. But it didn’t matter after all, huts were great, food was great, everything was working great and we had so great hike. Amazing, just amazing, THANK YOU !!!!

The best experience of my life. Houssain was excellent in organising everything from the Toubkal climb, to my excursion into the Sahara desert. All queries were answered very quickly and helpfully. Having looked at all the other reviews, I’d like to add so useful information. The first night’s accommodation did sell beer and wine and we all sat in the sun watching the glaciers and mountains - truly amazing! We shared a 14-person dorm (male and female) - it was totally unusual but absolutely fine, and we all slept well (but do take ear plugs). Day two we stopped in a mountain hut for “elevenses” that sold delicious cakes and coffee. Later that afternoon we stopped at two other mountain huts for drinks (cash only). The only reason we could stop is because we started walking at 6.30am and “cracked on” - so if you only wake at 8am and then just “potter”, you probably won’t have time to stop as often as we did. Our guide Mark was brilliant and he knew all the places to stop (water and food). In conclusion - it’s a short holiday, so get up early, don’t carry too much food or water (Mark told us when we could fill up), relax and enjoy the stunning alpine scenery!

What an epic adventure. Stunning landscapes and wildlife. John our guide was a excellent. Sharing a wealth of knowledge and guiding us all safely to the summit and back.
Travelled on: Mt Kenya (4,985m)
Our guide John was fantastic. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the local wildlife and flora. He managed our team well, even though there were some very different fitness levels he still managed to get everyone up the mountain.
The reason I give 4 starts is because I personally found the food to be very bland. I think maybe the team were trying to cater to westerners to much but we would have loved some Kenyan and African food. And less processed meats like hot dog and ham.
But I’d like to re-emphasise that I’d recommend this trip to anyone interested in mount Kenya
Travelled on: Mt Kenya (4,985m)
Still buzzing from this trip! We were blessed with fabulous weather in early September, and spectacular views at every turn. Thanks to our great guide Laurence for ensuring the hike was enjoyable and fun for us all. It's certainly a challenge at times (3 very steep ascents over the mountain passes) - you will enjoy the trip so much more if you are fit and used to long hikes carrying your backpack. I found it frustrating at times waiting for the slower hikers in our group to catch up ( 2 people did drop out after day 2 which improved things considerably) - our hike would have been better managed with 2 guides perhaps?
However, overall it was a great experience with a fun bunch of people and I would not hesitate to recommend.
